Despite what some say here, I know you read this discussion forum.
Please... I'm begging you - can you work on the movie bugs in Keynote?
What's interesting is previewing a slide with a movie has always worked - even when 6.0 came out - but exporting has not worked...
And even after today's upgrade, I can't use Keynote because I use it to show simple graphics and simple movies.
For example, when I export a simple slide with a movie as an HTML file, the sound doesn't play.
And when I export the same as QuickTime, none of the animation work.
Can you help us out, Apple? I really like the progress I'm seeing in today's update, but I still can't use Keynote for a super simple presenation.

Who knows whether any Apple employee reads any post, we certainly know Apple has a long standing commitment to not communicate effectivly with there end users.
Can you help us out, Apple?
This is a user to user discussion and its the end users who will reply your posts.
The short story is there are many faults with Keynote 6 and Apple has indicated they will deliver updates during the first half of 2014. If you cant wait that long use Keynote 5, if you already have that on your machine I would suggest you use that, its located in Applications > iWork 09

Not even 3 weeks after I got the phone replaced, it is doing it again, so I suspect I'm just going to get a replacement again? Unfortunately I only have until 5th of july 2013 until my 1 year warranty is up. After that, any issue I have, I have to purchase apple care. People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. Because of that, people that only have a one year warranty (which i received because I purchased my apple iPhone at an Optus outlet, once that one year warranty is up, I have to pay for a problem that isn't even my fault? That isn't how it should work, you should be fixing this problem so people can be happy customers and leave happy. Obviously you don't all know how to do your jobs, because if you did, we wouldn't have this problem. I would like a replacement phone, ONCE AGAIN. If this problem occurs again, I will simply stop buying your products, and lose faith in your company, your's sincerely, Jack Maher.

    My iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 are running 6.1.3 with no such problem and the same with the overwhelming majority of iOS devices running 6.1.3.

    After the update my Ipad restart and after that it appears a picture that need to connect to itunes and need  to restore. So i connect it to itunes and wait to restore my ipad mini because it is not opening.
    After restoring it my ipad is now opening and it is like new that i need to set up again.
    I set up again until i reach the apple id and password.
    I put my below apple ID and password to unlock my ipad but it didn't work. The message i receive is "the apple ID cannot be used to unlock this Ipad.
    What will I do? Please help.

    1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
    2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.

    Can anyone out there help, after a recent Apple software update my Epson Stylus Photo RX640 will no longer print, every other aspect of the printer works fine including the scanner but it just will not print, I sent an email to apple but all i got was an automated reply directing me to their support page, the email i sent is below this explains in full what the problem is & what i have done to try & fix this problem.

    Please see attached file of the error message coming up in the print queue.
    I have spent days trying to fix this, i have been onto Epsons website & followed their resolution for this error message to no avail, after contacting them again with the results i got an email back saying : In response to your email, the RX640 will use an inbox or gutenprint driver on Mac OS X 10.6.8, it is not compatible with an Epson driver.
    I have also tried re-installing drivers from original Discs for the printer but it still will not print, obviously this error has been caused by Apple's latest software update, when are Apple going to fix this problem? i need my printer working ASAP.

    It is hardly Apple's fault that Epson can't/won't update their driver, but at least Epson suggest that you use the Gutenprint driver, which in any case is far better that what Epson offer.

    I got a similar email. It's obviously Spam. The double period afetr the first sentence and the otherwise poor grammar are dead giveaways even before I checked out the link embedded. -- I didn't click on it, just hovered over it to get the url. And the return address was [email protected] Very bogus.

    Check the music tab on the iPhones iTunes page, and make sure "sync all music" is checked. If you chose only to sync certain music, new music will not automatically show up.

    Like ckuan said, Apple does not unlock iPhone; your carrier does, provided that the carrier offers this service.
    Unfortunately, SoftBank does not offer authorized unlocking of iPhone.
    Your best option is to sell this phone and buy another iPhone from the carrier of your choice or better buy a factory unlocked iPhone so you would be able to use it with any compatible GSM carrier around the world.

    Ho comprato un adattatore originale Apple "lighitning to 30 pin adapter" per poter usare i mei vecchi cavi dell'iPhone4 con il nuovo iPhone5.
    Se collego l'adattatore (con il vecchio cavo delliPhone4) direttamente all'iPhone5 , tutto funziona.
    Ma se collego l'adattatore (con il vecchio cavo delliPhone4) all'iPhone5 tramite la "base dock" , l'adattatore non viene riconosciuto e non funziona.
    Pensando che l'adattatore fosse rotto, ho riprovato con altri identici adattatori originali, ma il risultatato è lo stesso.
    Quindi penso che potrebbe essere un errore di progettazione della base dock che supporta unicamente la connessione diretta tramite un cavo lighning e non supporta la connessione se in mezzo c'è l'adattatore !!

    In itunes...preferences you can change the setting to import songs instead of mp4  to mp3. Afer changing this setting, right click to the songs and than you are able to convert to mp3. ths's it

    Dear Apple,
    I really like the idea of the iPhone, but it's just too fragile. I need a phone that has a rugidized clamshell design, and all the buttons on the outside of the phone are automatically locked when the phone closes. It also needs to have that phone charm hole in the top of the phone. See, I keep my phone in my front pocket and I attach my keys to the charm hole. That way I can't loose my keys, and I always have them for opening boxes at work. Because of my work, my phone gets beat to death while still in my pocket. My keys swing and hit it, it falls out of my pocket constantly, I balance heavy boxes on the front of my hips (where my phone sits), so I can't have an iPhone as it exists right now.
    So here's my ideas. I have a Samsung Rugby, so let's start there. The iPhone Rugby should be wider and thinner, so the touch screen has the room to get bigger. When the phone is open, the bottom is the touch screen, the top is a regular screen, kinda like a DS. All the buttons on the outside of the phone are all located on the sides of the phone, no buttons on the front. And the only button that works when the phone is closed is the volume button that turns the ringer off when you don't want to answer that call.
    The touch screen on the bottom should default with the usual 2abc 3edf format with T9 so when I'm balancing boxes in my left arm, I can text with one hand. The top screen can pivot and turn sideways for those that want a Qwerty, but I personally prefer T9. One hand texting is really important for me.
    So when you figre out how to make a ruggid clamshell that won't pocket dial, doesn't require locking your buttons, has a piece I can attach my keys to, and can withstand being hit and dropped and beaten, let me know. Thanks.

    Me! Who Else?- Actually, My usage on the IPhone tops all your concerns/Issues/Ideas. I have a landscape construction company (as a second income) where the work and preform activities that make your durability concerns seem minor. I keep the IPhone in my pocket (sometimes with a cover, the otterbox brand+ a zagg invisible shield, sometimes without) and frequently carry paving stones, concrete debris, tools of all shapes and forms, get thrashed around in my skid steer (bobcat) and generally grind the IPhone into the these tasks and more! I keep the screen towards my leg side and it has been the only phone I have owned to even make it close to lasting the duration of my three year cell contract! I have dropped the phone in sand, loam, clay mud, and once into wet concrete! A quick dust-off with compressed air and wipe was all it needed.
    On an aside, I went ski touring this past winter and forgot to take the phone out of my sweaty pants for the ascent up and nearly soaked the IPhone with sweat. I dried the phone on the front defrost of my car when we returned and I (and my friends alike) were amazed that the IPhone had better reception in the Rogers Pass area (in Canada) than all the other phones.
    I work as well in a hospital as a professional (Nurse) and use the IPhone there as well for calculations and reference.The Iphone is perfect as it's smooth, nearly buttonless features allow me to clean the phone effectively with bactericidal wipes at the end of each shift. Imagine a flip phone, or a phone with all those nooks and crannies for viruses and bacterias to hide? Disgusting!, considering there are so many keyboards in the hospital. Maybe the IPad will make an appearance in hospitals one day?
    Anyways, I dispute your ideas and challenge them with my own experiences!

    Looks like I'm not the only one who has had a failed upgrade to 6.1.3. Now my mother's iPad 2 is in recovery mode with 1000+ pictures lost in LaLaLand.
    No recent backup, no iCloud.
    I've done lots of research on how I can recover the data and the only possible way seems to be accessing the Ramdisk via SSH.
    But there is no bootrom exploit for A5 devices, so it won't work.
    Thanks Apple, I've lost photos of our family dog that passed this year, as well as photos from my grandmother's memorial service from this year.
    I hope an Apple employee see's this...
    Your process for upgrading iOS versions should be less prone to errors or failures. Required syncs or backups before upgrades should be required.
    I could send my iPad to the main data recovery service Apple has partnered with... but I don't have $400 - $1200 to spend.
    But even if I did, I would assume that only Apple has the power to access the data that is now in a digital vault, protected by their millions of dollars of revenue.
    How can a top-leader in the consumer electronics industry let down so many of their loyal customers? Just google "recover data on iPad" or iPhone and you'll see that 1000's of people across the globe are having the same issue with iOS upgrades.
    Please Apple, at least create a service to allow users to send in devices for data recovery. Only you have the power to "hack" into our devices.

    Apple aren't here. This is a user to user forum.
    You've lost your data because, as you said: "No recent backup, no iCloud." - that's your fault, no-one else's.
    Backing up is necessary regardless of whether you are upgrading or not. Your iPad could've been stolen or damaged and you'd've lost the data the same. Apple provides you with at least 3 ways of retaining copies of your photos - you chose not to use them.
    Call this a lesson learned in the consequences of not backing up as advised.

    This is a user forum. You aren't talking to Apple here.
    Return your iPhone for a refund. There is no way to remove the Activation Lock. Apple won't get involved.
