Dearness Allowance Based on CPI(PY-IN)

Dear Experts,
I have configured VDA based on the CPI and made the changes in SPRO (V_T7IND1, V_T7IND3...) and I am updating the VDA value in IT0008 with using PC00_M40_DAB T.code also.
Burt here my query is If it is normal calculation based on CPI system is calculating correct only:
If Reference value is 2400, current value is 5746 and the Rupees per point is "15" and calculation is current value - reference value * points increase factor= 5746-2400=3346*15= 50,190/- this calculation is OK for some locations but in some locations VDA calculation is different:
As per client requirement calculation should be: current value - reference value / 10 * points increase factor = 5746-2400=3346/10=334.6(if decimal is less than 6 it should rounded to lower rupee and if it is greater than or equal to "6" it should rounded off to next rupee)= 335*15= 5025/-
Can anyone help me on this.

Variable Dearness Allowance is a fixed amount that needs to be paid to a particular set of employees for my client.
I wish to know how variable dearness allowance works. Following are the details I need to understand:
1. If an employee is to be paid Variable DA, how do we declare it in SAP? Do we need to enter anything in IT0008? Or elsewhere?
2. How does it get processed in standard schema? Do we need to make any changes in standard IN00 schema for the same?

Then you have to enter in to IT 0008 as VA DA
it will process as other wt in IT 0008

Wrong Dearness Allowance Calculation

Dear Friends,
For Dearness Allowance(wagetype 1009) we maintain the %age of Basic(wagetype 1000) in V_T539J quarterly. Accordingly in Payroll processing it is reflected.
In April 2014, for payroll area X it is calculated correctly,But for another payroll area Y all employee's DA calculation is wrong, It takes neither recent %age of basic
nor that of previous quarter.
For this month's payroll we did the correction manually in IT0008 by calculating DA= 20.2% of basic . Then there's no meaning of maintaining it in V_T539J. It's very tedious to do it manually.
Need to know why this anomaly rises suddenly ? We don't use any BDC/ DA-report program to update DA in IT0008 rather from V_T539J only it is calculated.

kindly check the table and dates in v_t539j in expand mode or in se11 so that you can able to understand if any issue in time of delimit..
or the check the employee data if some emploee data can be overright and check the indirect evaluation indicator I is visible........

Travel Allowance based on distance traveled

Dear consultants,
My client wants to pay Travel Allowance to employees who travel unplanned during their travel plan. Employees are divided in "Reimbursement Group for M/A Enterprise". There are different rates per KM for each grade. I have specified the rates in table V_T706B2. But when we enter the amount against any expense type in TRIP, we wish the window to receive amount (if traveled by hired vehicle) or number of KM (if traveled by own vehicle).
Where to customize it ?

This is not possible. Its not possible to get a default value for KM and on the Expense Receipt level also. You can hav a default amount value but not a KM.

I executed the "DA Report" for a personnel number and the VDA amount is computed there (it shows Rs. 1200). After this I used the "Start Payroll" to run the payroll for the personnel number. Tthe VDA amount is appearing in Infotype 0008 for the personnel number. In the remuneration statement, neither the wage type text nor the amount is appearing ( I have done the necessary configuration to include the wage type in window W1).
Please guide me on what could be going wrong.

Now the VDA amount is appearing in infotype 0008 of the personnel number. I ran the DA batch program for the personnel number and then uploaded using sm35.
After this, I started the payroll run for this personnel number, which was successful. But in the Remuneration Statement, neither the VDA text nor the VDA amount is appearing (I have done the necessary creation & transfer of the VDA wage type in Remuneration Statement).
Please guide me.
I have a related query. For the VDA wage type, I have set INVAL B in the wage type characteristics. Is it okay? If so, how should I create the entries for VDA wage type in the screen "Maintain Valuation of Base Wage Types" & in the screen "Calculate Eligibility for RAP's"?

Allowance calculation based on Planned & Actual working hours

Hi,
Please advise how to calculate an allowance based on employees Planned working hours & Actual working hours for a particular work schedule rules.
Example A Employee on Work Schedule for the Whole Month Employee has a 0007 infotype record that has them on Work Schedule SC112 for the whole of April 2008. System pays 100% of the allocated payment of $166.67 per month
Example B Employee on Work Schedule for part of the Month, Employee has a 0007 infotype record that has them on Work Schedule SC112 for the part of April 2008 as they only started on 14th April 2008. Planned Hours for April for SC112 are 180 hours and this person has worked 108 hours which is 60% (=108/180). System should pay 60% of the allocated payment of $166.67 per month which results in a payment of $100.00 for the employee.

Suppose ABCD is the wagetype for xyz allowance. I hope you are getting this 1000 amount from T510.
This is the logic of PCR for your requirement.
ABCD
NUM=TKAU**        --> Getting Unpaid Absences (Suppose 2)
RTE=KCONS2        --> Maintain CONS2 constant in T511K Table with 200
MULTI NRA            --> Multiplying No.of Absences with 200.. that is 400
ADDWT &BUFF     --> Saving that in one Variable
FILFF NRA            --> Restoring Actual values
AMT- &BUFF        --> Subtracting from 1000 and you will get the 600
AMT?0
     ADDWT *
   <
     AMT=0             --> if amount is less than 0 then amount will bocome 0

Goods Receipt is allowed through MIGO for PO's though they hav the confirmation control key. where as its should allow based on ASN(inbound Delivery).
Not sure if any system changes has to be made or anything else. please suggest.

1 Select In Confirmation Tab Con con key while in Creating PO
2 Create a Inbound delevry from T.code: VL31n
3 Once you create the Inbound delevery wth reference to PO, The inbound delevery no will be propulated in Confirmation Tab of PO
4 you can Do the mIGO with reference to that Inbound delevery

Double allowances when transfer in mid of the month

Hi Experts,
      When I am transferring an employee in mid of the month(in same payroll area ), the only component changing is HRA ( as it is region specific ). Now two records exist for that employee in Basic pay infotype one from date range 01-15 and other from 15-31 and only difference is HRA amount.
Now when simulating payroll for this employee some allowances are getting doubled .
What may be the problem.

Hi Ram,
No custom rule is there but these amounts are getting defaulted from Payscale grouping for allowances.
these are conveyance allowance & CCA which are a consolidated amount for a specific employee group.

Free Goods Determination Based on Access Seq -Sales Org/DistCh/Cust/Materia

Based on the requirement , I have configured 2 access seq for free goods determination.
1. Customer/Material
2. Sales org/DistCh/Customer / Material .
The free goods determination is working fine when i use the first access Seq - . Customer/Material and when i use the 2nd access seq - Sales org/DistCh/Customer / Material free goods determination is not happening for both inclusive and exclusive .
Can any one help me on this issue , as i am not able to identify the issue .

   As of my knowledge, the change mode screen layout cant be defined based on document type. You can make the field as editable or non editable in the field selection key AKTV (for both PR and PO).
   An alternate method is explained in the KBA: 2048405 - How to control the field layout
   If you still want to make the field selection based on document type in ME22N / ME52N, then you may go for development.

- Negative testing
- Positive testing
In negative testing we will give negative data in input and we check any errors occurs.

Features :
BDC is an automatic procedure.
This method is used to transfer large amount of data that is available in electronic medium.
BDC can be used primarily when installing the SAP system and when transferring data from a legacy system (external system).
BDC uses normal transaction codes to transfer data.
Types of BDC :
CLASSICAL BATCH INPUT (Session Method)
CALL TRANSACTION
BATCH INPUT METHOD:
This method is also called as CLASSICAL METHOD.
Features:
Asynchronous processing.
Synchronous Processing in database update.
Transfer data for more than one transaction.
Batch input processing log will be generated.
During processing, no transaction is started until the previous transaction has been written to the database.
CALL TRANSACTION METHOD :
This is another method to transfer data from the legacy system.
Features:
Synchronous processing. The system performs a database commit immediately before and after the CALL TRANSACTION USING statement.
Updating the database can be either synchronous or asynchronous. The program specifies the update type.
Transfer data for a single transaction.
Transfers data for a sequence of dialog screens.
No batch input processing log is generated.

RFCs are requests that an SAP component sends to invoke functions on remote systems, or calls that remote systems initiate to invoke functions on an SAP component.A process that can accept RFCs from SAP components. Listeners are one or more threads on SAP Business Connector that wait for incoming requests from SAP components. Listeners are named and register with an SAP gateway to indicate that they are ready to accept requests. Listeners can accept RFC or tRFC requests.
Transactional RFC (tRFC) and Queued RFC (qRFC). tRFC is used mainly to transfer ALE Intermediate Documents (IDocs).
Transactional RFC:
If an error occurs during a synchronous remote function call, the system cannot tell at what point the error occurred (most crucially, whether the function module was actually processed in R/3 before the operation failed). Restarting a failed call is therefore a dangerous thing to do, since you risk duplicating a completed function call.
To alleviate this problem, you can use transactional RFC, which guarantees that each function call you issue will only be executed once, even if you submit it repeatedly to the R/3 System. The system implements this safeguard by assigning a unique transaction ID (TID) to each transaction that you submit. When you attempt to process the transaction, the system checks whether that TID has already been processed. If it has, the transaction is ignored.
Queued RFC:
When you use transactional RFC, you cannot guarantee the order in which the function calls will be processed in the system (it is quite possible that one call might overtake another). For cases where you need to specify a particular processing order, you can use queued RFC, which is an extension of transactional RFC. In qRFC, you place each function call in a logical queue. A function call cannot be executed until all of its predecessors in the queue have been processed. Queued RFC calls are processed asynchronously.
RFC is an SAP interface protocol. Based on CPI-C, it considerably simplifies the programming of communication processes between systems.
RFCs enable you to call and execute predefined functions in a remote system - or even in the same system.
RFCs manage the communication process, parameter transfer and error handling.
