Deauthorising old itunes account i have no access to
My husband bought me an iPad 4 for Christmas and I have set it up using the iTunes account I have for my iPhone. Unfortunately there was a very old iTunes account attached to my laptop which I have no access to and iTunes seems to have latched onto it and whenever I plug my iPad into my laptop it starts to put old apps on that I do not want, despite my newer iTunes account being the one that is signed in. I would deauthorise it if I could however it is so old the email server no longer recognises it and I have no access to it at all which is making it a nightmare to delete. Even when I put my personal data in iTunes will not recognise my DOB. It's ruining my iPad experience so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
if you log into you account in iTunes you may be able to change your email address if that work work try to set your emails to forward to your new email address

I'm trying to retrieve or change my password for an OLD iTunes account. I no longer have access to the email account in question. Apple will not accept my birthdate. What to do?
send an e-mail to the iTS customer service using this form, describe your problem and ask the folks there to help you sort it out.

I am trying to get an old iTunes account reactivated for my new MacBook Pro. Originally I had iTunes for my iPod Shuffle and connected to it with a Windows laptop. I have dumped Windows in favor of Mac OS and now have a MacBook Pro with iTunes installed. I want to get at the 100s of songs I had out on iTunes but my email address for the old account is no longer active (was a work account and I have since retired). How do I get a new email address (and ID) assigned into my old account so I can access it and get at my music?
Unfortunatly, you can't. I had the problem with an iPod classic and looked into it. You could make a new apple account and transfer it to that, but thats it and even that isn't garenteed to work.

How can I access my old iTunes account?

I'm trying to find out how to access my old i-tunes library if I'm unsure of what my log-in and password were from that time.
Please explain further.
You don't need an AppleID to access an iTunes library. An iTunes library is stored on your computer.
Default location is /Music/iTunes/ folder. -
Can I access my old ITunes account or must I wait 90 days ??
Sure, you can buy new things. You just can't re-download past purchases for 90 days after changing the AppleID used with a computer, as the link provided by ChitlinsCC discusses. To avoid this problem make sure you always have backups of all purchases you make which is a good idea in any case in case a distributor pulls an item from the store whereby you won't be able to redownload it.

I have two ipod nanos. And i have 2 itunes accounts and we are accessing both accounts from the same PC. One of my ipod works fine, it gets detected as a device and sync fine. The other one does not. Anyone knows what this may be?
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is ituens purchases. The ipod is not a backup device.
Copy everything from the old computer or your backup copy of your old computer, to the new one. -

you can't !

if you have 5 machines authorized, you can *deauthorize all*, then reauthorize those that you use/have access to. click here for more information.
note the *deauthorize all* option is only available once a year.

I have an old itunes account and the music won't play on my new account
I have an old itunes account that I downloaded on my computer about 100 songs. I since then have started a new account and now my old music will not play at all and it says that my old itunes account has been locked out by itunes. What gives? I have over $100 worth of music I cannot access on my own computer?!
PLEASE HELP!!!I since then have started a new account
Why? Just update the info for your old account and continue to use that.
When you create new accounts, it's highly probable you will run into problems (as you can see).
it says that my old itunes account has been locked out by iTunes.
More likely it says that your iTunes account has been locked for security reasons and that you need to contact the iTunes store to unlock it.

Old iTunes account?
You created a new iTunes account instead of updating the old account with new info?'

my computer crashed so i had to reformat, but the only problem is i lost my old itunes account, had to download new version. Now i have an ipod full of music but how can i place all my music I have on the ipod into my new itunes account??
Not if you first do a sync and have iTunes make a backup. However, if your only copy of the iTunes data is in the Touch, then you need to first copy the data to a new iTunes Library using third-party software such as Phone To Mac.
