Deauthorize 1 of 5 on iTunes

I have just purchased a MacBook Pro 13.3 for my daughter. I need to add her to my iTunes account. Currently, I have 5 devices (1 laptop, 1 desktop, 2 iPhones, 1 iPad) being managed by iTunes account. I would like to add new laptop but it tells me I already have 5 computers on this ID. How can I determine which computers are currently authorized?

There is no list available from your end. If needed, use the Deauthorize All command documented in this article or the 'contact iTunes Store support' link at the bottom of it.

  • How do I deauthorize all my computers in Itunes?

How do I deauthorize all my computers in Itunes?  I have gotten a new computer every two or three years and then given them away when I got the next one.  I just got a new Dell Precision Work Station and am trying to get ITunes up and going.  However, I keep getting a message that I have already authorized the limit of 5 computers and that I need to deauthorize all of them and start over with my new one.  I am struggling with the interface of the new ITunes and cannot figure out how to deauthorize the computers.  Please help.

  • I've been told I should deauthorize all my devices and reauthorize them. Can you deauthorize an iPhone from the iTunes App?

I've been told I should deauthorize all my devices and reauthorize them. Can you deauthorize an iPhone from the iTunes App?

I read an answer on another issue that said you don't deauthorize iPhones from the phone, and to deauthorize everything from the iTunes store. But when I go to the iTunes store, it tells me my computer is not authorized, (I just had this computer repaired & the iTunes store doesn't recognize it, and it says we already have 5 devices authorized). Is there a place to deauthorize everything at once, so I can add devices back individually?

  • We lost access to are computers in the last two month and we want to know how to deauthorize two computers from the itunes account can you please help us?

We lost access to are computers in the last two months and we want to know how to deauthorize two computers from the ituns account can you please help me please?

If you don't have access to the computers to manually deauthorize them (they were sold, stolen, etc), then you have to log into your account, deauthorize all computers, and then re-authorize the machine(s) that you want to have access. This page explains how.

  • There is no "Deauthorize all computers" from the iTunes store drop down menu (12.0.1.26 latest version)

Just purchased a new iMac and somehow all of my licenses are consumed between existing/old computers and I am not allowed to synch my iTunes library using Match.  Looking at the on-line help provides guidance to choose a "deauthorize all computers" option from the Store drop down in iTunes but I only have these options:
Obviously, I need to figure out how to do this and then reauthorize from each of my 5 machines.  Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

  • I would like to deauthorize old computers from my iTunes account, but not my current Mac -

I noticed in my iTunes account I have 4 computers authorized.   This list must include old computers which I no longer use (we currently only have one computer using my iTunes account).  The only option is to "deauthorize all", which makes me nervous as it implies it will also deauthorize my current computer, which I obviously don't want to do.  I would like to "clean it up", and remove old computers no longer assoicated with my iTunes, but am a little paranoid about doing it.
Just looking for some advice, before I start clicking buttons I don't know much about, lol!

You need to use the Deauthorize All function; if this deauthorizes your current computer, you can authorize it immediately afterwards.

  • How do i deauthorize a cpu from my itunes account, if i don't have that cpu

i need to deauthorize a cpu so i can add a new one but it says i have used the maximum of 5 already authorized. these are old devices i dont own anymore how can i deauthorize them

If you've reached five authorizations for that account, there will be a button in your iTunes Store account information that will allow you to deauthorize all systems associated with that account. Log into your Store account and you should see it. You can then reauthorize the computers you're using now.
    Regards.

  • HT1420 Is it possible to deauthorize an iDevice from your iTunes account?

I sold my iPod to a little girl when I FINALLY got an iPhone last Christmas. I didn't think to change the account settings on the iPod before handing it off, so apparently the girl is still using my account information on her computer. I recieve her iMessages since we "share" an account, and I assume she can see my iMessages too, which is embarrassing. There is a definite privacy issue, and now I'm afraid to send iMessages. Lol.
What I'm wondering is, is there a way I can totally deauthorize her device from using my account?
I accessed my iTunes account and saw where my devices were listed, but the only device it showed was my iPhone. If that's true, why am I recieving her iMessages?
I tried to contact her to let her know that she needs to create a whole new iTunes account for herself, but I got no reply, of course.
Also, I noticed where on Settings>Messages>Send&Recieve it had my number and my email address listed, but my number was ghosted. Why is that?
Clearly, I'm totally dumbfounded. All help is appreciated! I'm a text addict, and regular SMS is just not the same. I need answers fast! Lol.

No you cannot transfer purchases from one account to another account. Apple does not allow it and never has allowed it.
She can use you Apple ID on the device and switch between her ID and your ID, but that can cause problems at times and can become a bit of a pain.

  • DEAUTHORIZATION OF A COMPUTER ON ITUNES ACCOUNT

I have 5 computers authorized on my itunes account.  One of them is no longer in working order but I can't seem to find information on how to remove that one computer.  I can't deauthorize from the computer itself because it is not operational.
    Thanks!

You would have to deauthorize all, then authorize the active computers

Ipods are not authorized at all.  Only computers are authorized.
Change your password if someone is using your account without permission.

  • How do i deauthorize a computer from my itunes? when i put my user name and password it says not valid

I am trying to deauorize a computer from my itunes however when i enter my username and password it says its invalid.

    Hi, amadorj.
It sounds like you may have some media purchased under another Apple ID.  I would recommend finding the account name of the media that will not transfer and authorize the computer for that account.  To find the account name, see the section labeled Authorize using the correct account name in the article below.  Alternatively, you can either Right-Click and Get Info on the selected media for Windows or Control-Click and Get Info for Mac.  The Apple ID that was used to purchase the media will be on the Summary tab.

  • When I'm trying to deauthorize my iPod from my iTunes, it's trying to deauthorize it' but iTunes get stuck and I can only shut it down

I have just bought an new i Phone, but I had an old iPod that I authorized on iTunes.
Now, when I'm trying to deauthrize it, iTunes just get stuck, and won't continue working unless i shut it down directly from the task manager....
    What can I do?
    Thanks

Could any of the music have been sourced on an external USB drive or a network drive? In iTunes, go to one of the songs that won't sync. Bring up the info page, and look at the location of that song on the disk. Does that file and path exist? That could be your problem, especially if they were on a USB drive you forgot about.

  • How can I deauthorize iTunes on my PC that doesn't have iTunes installed (crashed with latest update)?

I'm retiring my old PC and want to deauthorize my purchased iTunes library (over 1,000 songs) but have a problem.  The last time I tried to update iTunes on the computer, the installation crashed and iTunes was removed.  My music is still there.  I just can't figure out how to deauthorize the computer without using iTunes.  I've tried reinstalling iTunes several times and always get "Error 7" with further instructions to try again.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. Otherwise you can "deauthorize all" from your iTunes account.
    Open iTunes on a computer
From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
Under "Computer Authorizations" select "Deauthorize All".
Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only use this feature once per year.
After you "deauthorize all" your authorized computers, authorize each one as required.
