DEBUG-4-INVALID_MODULE on the WLC 2504 with version 7.6.100????
Hi!!! Please help with the solution.
I have one WLC 2504, 4 Cisco 1141 APs and one AP 1602.
Yesterday, I upgrade the WLC with version 7.5.102 to version 7.6.100.
After the upgrade in Message Logs on the WLC at the same time see the following message:

With what may be the problem exists? Any suggestion?
Have you upgraded the FUS to 1.8.0.0? What happens if you try to boot from v7.5 do you see the messages and maybe boot back to v7.6?
Here is what the doc mentions about the error

Configuration of Cisco WLC 2504 with Local LAN static IP and DHCP
I want to configure Cisco WLC 2504 with Local LAN static IP and WLC 2504 with DHCP so that APs can be connect with controller.
Currently i am using WLC 2504 with DHCP so can anyone suggest how to do that..Hi Sandeep
The info is correct, if we're using code below 7.3.101.0.
This issue is fixed via the below bug id.
CSCto01390 Unable to ping AP's directly connected to a 2500 controller
check the fix that is updated on 7.4, 7.5 RNE.

Hey guys,
I updated the software to version 8.0.110.0 for the WLC 2504 two days ago, it worked fine until this morning that it crashed, it's was blinking amber and green and the SYS light as well, I couldn't ping it, then I took the power cable off, and reboot it to get it up again, does anybody knows the reason of it, and also if there is some work around that I can do in order to solve it.
I'll be waiting for your comments.

WLC 5508 with version 7.0.98.0 and AIR-LAP1242ag
hi, recently i have deployed wlc 5508 with ap 1262. initially i had trouble with the existing version on the wlc (6..0.199.0) which AIR-LAP1262N-E-K9 was not registering with wlc. i have upgraded the wlc to 6.0.199.4 ver still it was not registering. finally i have upgraded to 7.0.98.0 and all the 40 AP's ( AIR-LAP1262N-E-K9 ) are addedd and its working fine.
Now my issue is, at the same site i have 12 nos of AIR-LAP1242ag autnomous AP's which i need to convert to lightweight ap and register with wlc. where i am stuck currently. after loading the recovery image (c1240-rcvk9w8-tar.123-7.JX9.tar) the ap reboots and can see it register with wlc within seconds contollers pushed the new image and once the ap reboots, never register again.
does anyone has any idea? After adding the country codes GB and RU.. in my test setup 1242 is registered...i will have it run for couple hours and see the result

Hi there.
I discovered today what is the reason for the strange problem I've been having with FCP X from 10.0.2+. The problem was that I just couldn't use it: I couldn't see any media in the canvas/preview pane, no matter if it was video, jpgs, psds, whatever. Trying to use or reproduce a project was just more of the same: a spinning beachball forever. At some point, from time to time, the black from the preview pane changes to a checkboard, but that was all.
This happened in 10.0.3, 10.0.4 and 10.0.5.
I tried everything, removing the events, projects, and so on. The only thing that worked was to create a new user in my machine and use FCPX there. Everything seems to work fine there. I did that yesterday at 3am. Today I saw that the colors were off in that user, and I remembered that the calibration is not setup at the system level, but for each user, so went on to change the profile to use the one I did for my screen (I have my screens calibrated frequently). Voilá, now FCPX doesn't work anymore on the new user. The only change was the profile, so I went to System Preferences, selected the old (default) profile, and now FCPX works fine.
I don't know if the problem is my profile (I created it with ColorEyes DisplayPro, I don't have anything else right now to try to create a new one) or if the issue is with FCPX itself, as I have only had problems with FCPX related to the profile. In any case, the issue is now identified in my case, and even if I don't like to work in a non-calibrated screen, that will have to do for now.
I will try some other calibration software and see if the results are the same, but I thought of sharing my findings here in case someone is still having this issue.
Tomorrow that the 5770 arrives for my Mac Pro 1,1 I'll try to run it, also with the calibrated screen, and see what happens.
HTH,
RodrigoI'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean with "the profile is downstream from ColorSync"?
I'm willing to accept that there is something wrong with the way ColorEyes DisplayPro is making the profile, although if the OS loads it and uses it and doesn't complain at all - nor any other app I use - I don't see why FCP should have issues with it. But I'm willing to try some other app to create the profile for the screen and will do as soon as I can get my hands on some other.
Between lines, hopefully I'm wrong, but I read you are telling me that FCP doesn't support having a "typical" monitor calibration, usual in printing/photography/etc workflows, but only supports calibrated output through broadcast monitors, using third party hardware? And that in the Color screen settings I must not use any "user generated" screen profile? -
Wireless Clients can't connect post WLC Upgrade to version 7.4.100.0
Upgraded WLC Flex 7500 controller to: 7.4.100.0
Previous WLC Controller version: 7.2.111.3
After the upgrade, all AP's reported back to the controller and looked like working. We have 50+ branch sites that connect back via Layer 2 to the main office. The main office SSID's were broadcasting and users could connect and get the proper IP's. Users that connected back through FlexConnect AP's couldn't obtain an IP address. The client would authenticate to the WLC and accept the SSID key, but would not get an IP address. I see with the 7.4.100.0 upgrade there are more options for DHCP for each interface, which we don't use interfaces for all sites as we did in the early days, now we make sure the flex connect tab has the vlan identifier in the tab and the traffic goes out the local firewall etc. Each remote site has a Linux based firewall and DHCP server.
Looking for any insight with the 7.4.100.0 upgrade that may cause clients to not connect and obtain an IP address.
We have since back dated our WLC Software to: 7.2.111.3 to allow things to work pre upgrade which everything worked fine.
Any suggestions would be great, we had to upgrade version 7.4.100.0 to support our AP 1602.
Thanks in advance.
MattVerify that you have an upgraded FUS image. Second, make sure your WLAN to vlan mapping on the FlexConnect AP's have the correct vlan mapping. I have seen these change to the default vlan mapping.

Hi all.
I`m configuring new 2504. I updated it to 7.4.100.60 and enabled LAG.
I want to configure interfaces "ap-mgmt" - for AP management.
(Cisco Controller) >config interface create ap-mgmt 69
(Cisco Controller) >config interface address dynamic-interface ap-mgmt 10.50.50.157 255.255.255.224 10.50.50.158
(Cisco Controller) >config interface ap-manager ap-mgmt enable
AP manager interface already exist on port.
So I disable ap-manager on default "management" interfase and enable it on dynamic "ap-mgmt"
(Cisco Controller) >config interface ap-manager management disable
Warning! You have no AP manager on this port.
The controller behavior will be unpredictable.
Are you sure you want to continue? (y/n) y
(Cisco Controller) >config interface ap-manager ap-mgmt enable
After that I have nice sh int summ, I can ping all interfaces, but AP can`t register on the controller "ap-mgmt" (10.50.50.157) interface
(Cisco Controller) >show interface summary

So my newly created "ap-mgmt" interface was thrown from LAG and default "management" interface was restored as AP Manager.
After reboot I can`t ping "ap-mgmt" (10.50.50.157), it`s clear why - because it have no physical port associated with it.
My question is why I can`t make other than default "management" interface as AP Manager when LAG enabled?
I try 7.4.100.60, try 7.4.100.0, try two more 2504 results the same.>it's recommended to put both of them into the same VLAN and the same subnetIn documentation I don`t find such recommendation, please share the link.
And it states:
AP-Manager Interface Configuring the AP-manager interface on the same VLAN or IP subnet as the management interface results in optimum access point association. -

How can I make my Shuffle stay in the Source list with Version 7??
No longer in the IPOD options that I can see????
Blackstar,
Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the Keep this iPod in the source list option does not exist in iTunes 7.
So the first thing you will probably want to do is let Apple know your feelings on the matter by submitting the form on this support page .
Done that? Okay then, so now you'll probably want to make the best of the situation by figuring out if there's any kind of workaround to deal with the matter.
The best I can come up with is suggest that you create a playlist dedicated to your iPod shuffle which, for discussion's sake, we can call the Shuffle Playlist.
Once you have created that playlist, when you connect your shuffle to your computer you can drag the Shuffle Playlist into your shuffle.
After disconnecting the shuffle you can get to work on modifying the Shuffle Playlist for your next update.
Note that you will have to manually clear the iPod shuffle's contents before putting a new Shuffle Playlist on it. -
Install GoDaddy wildcard SSL on WLC 2504 conroller
I'm attempting to install a GoDaddy wildcard ssl certificate onto a WLC 2504 running version 7.4.100.0.
I am getting the error "#SSHPM-3-KEYED_PEM_DECODE_FAILED: sshpmcert.c:4055 Cannot PEM decode private key" when downloading the .pem file to the controller.
What I have attempted to do was to export the certificate from a Windows 2008 R2 server into a .pfx file. The file contained the private key and all possible root certficates (in this case a root and a intermediate cert). Now I took this .pfx file and attempted to create a .pem file with openssl using the following command: openssl pkcs12 -in myssl.pfx -out mynewssl.pem -passin pass:mypassword -passout pass:mypassword
Now I have opened the .pem file and verified it does contain the private key and the three certificates (wildcard, intermediate and root).Seth,
I had a similar problem, and saw the solution in another post on this forum. I am cross-posting this to help anyone else out there who might be searching for this answer.
Kudos to Robert Wells for finding this:
"I have it fixed now. The problem was the cisco only supports openssl 0.9.8x. I was using 1.0.1c. I used 0.9.8x and it worked perfectly fine."
The Windows version of OpenSSL I used was the 0.9.8y Light version from:
http://slproweb.com/download/Win32OpenSSL_Light-0_9_8y.exe
I hope this helps someone out there with this problem.

WLC 2504 Connectivity Problems
This is a tricky one.
I installed a 2504 WLC with three AP's. Two SSID’s were configured, one with WPA2/AES-TIKIP and the other with Web Auth.
After installation, customers could connect to WLAN without problem and .
The problem that is occurring is that since the beginning of week, customers PDA's, cell phones and iPad and cannot access Internet with any of the two WLAN but clients who used laptop have no connection problems. Also the DHCP Server is assigning IP's correctly.
This problem also occurs with test SSID I created which is Open Auth. I see associated Cell phones and IPAD to the WLC but none of these answers ping from the WLC.
This is a WLC 2504 with IOS 7.4.100.Hello everyone!
Today I did a test with my Cell phone Samsung Note 2 and I have the same conectivity problem.
I have installed the APK ipconfig from the Play Store for Android in my cell phone and y see that I getting IP Address, Mask and Gateway.
This is what I´ve got from the APK:
IP ADDRESS 192.168.8.181
MASK: 255.255.255.0
GATEWAY: 192.168.8.2
DHCP SERVER: 192.168.8.16
DNS1: 192.168.6.16
DNS2: 192.168.2.16
I have connected my laptop to the WLAN with no issue and I´m getting this:
The IP address of the DHCP Server is 192.168.8.16 and 192.168.6.16 and is a Microsoft Server.
I´ve created a test WLAN with OPEN AUTH but the problem remains.

Client got not connection to wlan over wlc 2504 on 802.11b/g
Hi everybody,
We are using a wlc 2504 with 7.6.100.0 and AP 1532e.
I have the strange observacion that only clients with 802.11n (2.4GHz) can connect to the WLAN. Clients thats works only with 802.11b/g, they can't connect to the WLAN. Affected are all machines which want to connect with 802.11b/g.
This is a MESH WLAN with 5GHz backhaul and 2.4GHz for the user.
During the debugging found the following:

Thanks for any adviceIn some of the big name brands of wireless, there is "no such thing" as 802.11n on a 2.4 Ghz. No such thing because Cisco won't allow you (any more) to do channel bonding of 2.4 Ghz. It doesn't make any sense to bond an already restricted 2.4 Ghz non-overlapping channel (three) and squeeze this number down to two.
Can you check to ensure that the data rates for 802.11b are enabled? Maybe someone disabled data rates from 1 Mbps to 11 Mbps. -
Hi there,
It's me again... same devices which making trouble.
I have an allready configured WLC 2504 running in the network. Every LAP i add to the network joins imidiatly to the Controller.
But not the AP1121G AP.
It fails the Handshake everytime and the Controller shows me an failmessage at the statistics in the GUI.

Hey guys, i solved the problem. It wasn't the firmwareversion. I downgraded the WLC and the problem still exists.
Problem reason: The AP1121G series doesn't has a MIC - Manufactured Installed Certificate - which is compatible/ accpeted by the WLC 2504 and it's parameters for the RADIUS server. Maybe it has no MIC, i don't know.
So you need the SSC - Self Signed Certificate - for the join authentication.
Solution:
1. Logon to GUI or CLI of the WLC.
2. Enable "Accpet Self Signed Certificate"
GUI: Security > AP policy
CLI: (Cisco Controller) >config auth-list ap-policy ssc enable
3. Look for the SSC Hash of the AP:
CLI: (Cisco Controller) >debug CAPWAP events enable
There you'll find an event which is called e.g.:
Mon May 22 06:34:14 2006: sshpmGetIssuerHandles: SSC Key Hash is 9e4ddd8dfcdd8458ba7b273fc37284b31a384eb9
4.Add the ap manually to the controller
GUI Security> AP policy > Add There you have to set the right parameters, ap MAC, Cert. type: "SSC" and the Key.
CLI:
(Cisco Controller) >config auth-list add ssc 00:0e:84:32:04:f09e4ddd8dfcdd8458ba7b273fc37284b31a384eb9
5. Maybe you should reboot the ap.
And it's done
