Debug unknow error message followed by shut down when attempting to render nested timeline

Premiere Pro CS3 using AspectHd v5.0 build 88
My PP3 gives me an unkonwn error message in a debug window everytime I try to render my timeline that has one 2 seconds clip of another nested sequence...!?!
It occurs at about a fifth of the 1st of 2 audio preview render that it has to do.
I usualy did have problem rendering file with PP2 cause of Premiere's system memory bug, but never I've add trouble before in PP3...until well now.
What is the problem? Anybody experiencing that bug also?

The project in which this problem occurs is about 1 TB of footage in AspectHD Low HD; there's 37 tape captured in batch and recomposed on a different sequence for each tape to compensate for the lost of timecode when digitazing with CINEFORM (so 37 nested time line).
I use those nested timelines as if I was picking shots from a huge clip that captured the whole tape.
Of course Premiere ask me the render the sequences nested in addition to the main one in which I edit footage...
I'm currently editing a trailer and wanted to render 2 clip that were sampled from 2 different sequences, but PP3 has the bug windows at 10,51% and closes. The text in the debug window is that "Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry about..."
If you need anymore info please ask what specificaly, cause I would be at a lost to add more...:)

N200 shuts down when attempting to encode tra

I've got a Muvo N200 with which I have a problem.
When I try to encode tracks using the line-in it just shuts down when I try to choose that option. I go into the menu, use the jog wheel to scroll to the encoding option and the I press the jog wheel. Result: the player shuts off. I tried just scrolling to the option and pressing the play/pause button, but then it just exits the menu.
I have not upgraded the firmware on the player since I bought it, so it's fresh out of the box.
Anyone who's got a solution? Will upgrading the firmware do the trick?

Where can I find that firmware version? I can only find .6.02. And also, I tried updating to that firmware, but I don't know if it actually had any effect. When I ran that firmware update, the only way I got the New Hardware Guide-dialog to come up was if I removed the battery from the unit before I did the hold-play-button-and-then-connect-to-PC routine. Then it ran the Player Recovery stuff and then I unplugged it and it turned on just fine. However none of the tracks I had on it previously were delted. They were all intact after the upgrade. So the question is if the upgrade actually took effect.
Anyway, the encode option doesn't work now either. The reason I want to use this option is I want to be able to use the player for recording interviews using an external mic.
Also, in Explorer in WinXP the Creative Media Explorer says that the player isn't connected, while it obviously is as it shows up as a removable disk.

I'm starting to receive an error in 4 different languages that says I need to shut down and restart my mac book. Any clue as to what is going on?

They can be caused by a number of things, one of which is RAM. Do you have the original Apple-supplied RAM installed or has more/different RAM been added?

Error message then FCP shuts down

While trying to open a project I am getting an error message "Searching for movie data file Sequence 1-FIN0-00000172" with a stop button at the bottom of the message box. After waiting and no luck, I click stop and the project continues to open only to stall out at 12%. I get the same error message only this time with "Without this file, the movie cannot play properly" and a Search and Cancel button on the bottom. I click cancel. The project continues to load, timelines appear, and then FCP crashes. I have trashed all the render files and installed Preference Manager hoping this would help but, it hasn't. Any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated as this is my demo reel.

Looks like the data file it's looking for is part of a QuickTime reference movie that no longer exists. Reference movies only work if all of what they reference (media files, renders etc.) is online on your computer. Self contained movies don't need to look for files like this because they have all of the media associated with them in the file itself.
So what seems to have happened to you is that you imported a reference movie from FCP or some other application, and then trashed part of what it referenced, or it doesn't reside on your computer at the moment, or someone else's computer where you created file has it on their drive. Render files can be part of this, so if you trashed them, they are goners.

The computer also will not shut down. I have done all basic things. I can manully shut down but it comes up same way and won't reboot!!

ITunes shuts down when attempting to use Visualizer

Just downloaded Windows 7. Having compatibility issues. Keep getting message to turn off compatibility mode, but have no idea how to do that in Win 7.
Also, as subject line indicates, when I turn on Visualizer the iTunes program immediately shuts down.

FCP shutting down when I bring jpegs into timeline....

Hi all you night owls.....
I am just about pulling my hair out right now. Have a project due in 8 hours; this project is a weekly project that I have been doing for the past 16 weeks. Same thing different jpegs and hdv footage.
When I drag the jpegs into the timeline (after importing them into thier own bin into the project), FCP just shuts down. I have tried dragging 50 down into the timeline at once, or 5.....there is always one or two jpegs that are red lined, and when I try and render them, it says "general error". But here is the kicker. It doesn't matter which one is at the beginning of the group, the first one always has a red line.
Any help would be appreciated. I have already tried the "guiness method".....minus the guiness. (yeah, I am 4 months pregnant) but man, one sounds good right now!!!! (you know, shut down the computer, go have a guiness or two, and come back to the computer).

Trashing preferences and repairing permissions.
Close Final Cut Pro.
Go to: Users/your user name/Library/Preferences.
Drag, "com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist" to the trash.
Scroll down to the Final Cut Pro User Settings folder.
Drag, "Final Cut Pro 6 Preferences" to the trash.
Drag, "Final Cut Pro Obj Cache" to the trash
Drag, "Final Cut Pro POA Cache" to the trash.
Go to: Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility
Select your system disk
Click on the Repair Permissions button
Wait for the permissions to be repaired
Restart your computer

IChat shuts down when attempting video chat or preferences...

When I invite someone to video chat, or someone invites me, the green iSight light comes on and then chat shuts down completely. This also happens when I try to go to my chat preferences. I get this message:

Has anyone else had this problem? I have tried restarting and software updating, but I can't do too much more without even being able to get in my preferences.......

ITunes shuts down when attempting to sync iPod nano (4th gen)

Ever since I upgraded to iTunes8, I haven't been able to sync my iPod nano.
When I plug the nano into my laptop, iTunes pops up as usual, but then immediately stops working. A box reading: itunes has stopped working pops up, then the program closes automatically.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, resetting the iPod and trying to restore the iPod to get new stuff on it, but iTunes just shut down again as it was starting to restore the iPod.
SO- I have lost everything on my iPod-- I can't use it for anything! It's really frustrating, and I'm not sure what to do at this point!
Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

Powermac G4 shuts down when attempting to intall retail version of OSXTiger

Hello everyone!
I just bought a retail version of Max OS 10.4 Tiger/Family Pack and am having difficulty installing it on a PowerMac G4/PCI graphic model currently running OS10.1.
Every time I try to install, it prompts me to restart. I proceed to so and then the computer goes through the thinking grey screen and then the blue screen and then just turns off. I have tried restarting with the C key and I get the same result.
I did upgrade the optical drive to a CD_RW taken from a newer mac. Don't know if this has something to do with it. I checked for firmware updates on the apple website which indicates that this model does not need it. I am at a loss!
I would greatly appreciate any help in this matter.

weird.
the fact that you booted from the restore disc fine suggests that it's a problem with the tiger install dvd. but the fact that you've already used that successfully twice says it's not.
basically there's only so many thing that can go wrong with an installation:
1. installer disc (defect) (rare)
2. processor (not too common really)
3. RAM (pretty common, os x is really picky with RAM which is why apple is too)
4. hard disk drive (really common)
and the obscure #5. optical drive (pretty rare, cause usually you would know if this was busted.
1.so we can assume that your dvd is fine
2. and your processor as well if you're running 10.1 on it already but
3. it's definitely worth tracking down the appropriate apple hard ware test to test the RAM 'and' the processor. there are some third party options for this but the machine in question is pretty old (we'll have to look into that)
4. we can assume that the hdd is ok since verification was successful (did you check the s.m.a.r.t. status too.
5. and the fact that you were able to boot from the original says the optical drive is fine.
how much space is free on the 10gig drive (which is where tiger is going right?) because the thing to try would be to copy the whole disc to the hard drive, could take a few minutes : )
this is a way to check the disc/dvd, the optical drive, and the destination all in one.

Itunes shuts down when connecting Ipod HELP

Recently when I connect my Ipod to my Itunes a windows error message appears and shuts down itunes for me. The message reads that Itunes has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. I am unable to transfer any music, play songs off my ipod, or delete songs off my ipod. I have reinstalled Itunes several times. All of my songs are stored on my IPOD only so reseting would erase all of them. PLEASE HELP!!!

Yes this used to happen to me also. Heres how to fix it. If this event just started happening after you have downloaded new music, I know how to fix it. Sort your iTunes by DATE ADDED. Then start clicking on the songs or videos, etc. in order from top down. When you click on a certain one(s) and iTunes shuts down, this is what you do:
1. Find the file(s) on your computer by doing a computer search from the start menu.
2. When you locate the file(s), click on it or them and send them into your recycle bin or trash for mac users.
3. Then open iTunes.
4. Locate the file(s).
5. They should have a little ! next to them.
6. When you click on them, iTunes won't shut down.
7. Just right click on the file(s) and delete them again, this time from iTunes.
8. Reset your iPod.
9. Connect it.
10. Your problem is solved!

FCP shuts down when exporting

I've been trying to export some 3-5 minute segments from FCP HD to quicktime files (self-contained). Every time I try to export the segments, it will go to about 15% and then the whole program completely shuts down "unexpectedly". I've tried it 20 times or so and I'm getting the same results.
My entire project is saved on an external HD (Maxtor 300gb) with the project file itself saved on my G4's HD. I don't know if that makes a difference. I've tried to export the QT files to both the external and my desktop...same results.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Well I just had a problem exporting a qt which gave me a general error message rather than shutting down. I landed up locating the problem area by trying to export the first half, then the second half and slowly narrowing down the area and then shifting the top video clip up a layer. This solved the problem probably by forcing a rerender.
I suspect the problem was a corrupt render so you might solve the problem by simply deleting all your renders and rerendering.

Error Message and Shut Down When Trying to Add Security Policy

Acrobat 8.1.5 I'm trying to add a security policy. When I click on Finish, I get a message saying there has been an error and Adobe must shut down.
I've checked for updates, restarted Adobe, restarted my computer. Nothing is helping. Here's the details about the message:

I've confimed I'm using 8.1.5 in the Help section.
