Hi All,
We try to find out solutions for some unknown subjects on decentralized warehouse management system.
1. After setting connection between ERP and DeWM systems, When we shut down the ERP system for maintenance for an interval time, could we able to process erp transactions like purchasing, sales nearby warehouse transactions on the decentralized warehouse? This time, (When ERP is
closed) how can i proceed operations after creating some documents like purchasing or sales from DeWM to ERP? Does we have any chance to create and go on operations on decentralized warehouse management in the time of ERP's closed? If yes, How can we send operation informations to ERP system from DeWM, when we open ERP system. Does it provided again with same BAPIs?
2.When i create inbound/outbound delivery document on ERP system and after that processing this delivery on DeWM, is it possible to process the delivery different from current quantity? For example, when i create an inbound/outbound delivery as 10 pieces quantity on ERP
system, how can i operate this delivery document processing just 8 pieces quantity on DeWM system.
3. Between ERP and DeWM systems, is there any trans. code to see data consistency. Or how can we see the datas went correctly through other ERP system from DeWMS?
4. What is the accurate system basis requirements to work decentralized system in a high performance (empty space req.ec)
If you help me about DeWM usage related those issues, i will be very
pleased.

Firstly, i've got your solutions and thank you so much for your quick reply. But to make more clear problems, i will explain below again,
1.I try to expain on a and b scenario, i mean;
a) Normally, i use on ERP for material incoming (MIGO/501), purchasing (ME21n --> VL31N), sale (VA01n --> VL01n), direct saleing (MB1B/311) transactions and after that i create deliveries and process this deliveries on WMS server (ERP and WMS servers are open). After create transfer order and confirm it on WMS, i do posting change and see the changing MM stock level on ERP.
b) But if i close ERP server for a-7-days, it's possible process warehouse applications (picking, packaging, creating transfer orders with delivery numbers..etc) on WMS server.
Also, Is there possible to do same ERP operations (like 1-a clause) like forming material incoming (MIGO), purchasing(ME21n>VL31n), saleing (VA01>VL01n), direct saleing(MB1B) on WMS server and after, create deliveries and transfer order again and confirm it and doing posting to change MM stock level for ERP. This application is possible? If possible, how ERP system can recognize ERP movements from WMS.

I mean basis server requirements like sizing.
For example, a WM system that works on Windows NT system, database is Oracle, WM user numbers are about 30, and WM server is independent from ERP server. So,What must be server's RAM, CPU, Harddisk and other specifications/requirements ?

TREX - Configuring Distributed Slave with Decentralized Data Storage

I am creating a distributed TREX environment with decentralized data storage with 3 hosts. The environment is running TREX 7.10 Rev 14 on Windows 2003 x64. These are the hosts:
Server 01p: 1st Master NameServer, Master Index Server, Master Queue Server
Server 02p: 2nd Master NameServer, Slave Index Server
Server 03p: Slave NameServer, Slave Index Server (GOAL; Not there yet)
The first and second hosts are properly set up, with the first host creating the index and replicating the snapshot to the slave index server for searching. The third host is added to the landscape. When I attempt to change the role of the third host to be a slave for the Master IS and run a check on the landscape, I receive the following errors:

The installs were all performed in the same with, with storage on the "E:" drive using a local install on the stand-alone installation as described in the TREX71InstallMultipleHosts and TREX71INstallSingleHosts guides provided.
Does anybody know what I should try to do to resolve this issue to add the third host to my TREX distributed landscape? There really weren't any documents that gave more information besides the install documents.

A ticket was opened with SAP customer support. The response to that ticket is below:
Many thanks for the connection. We found out, that the error message is wrong. It can be ignored, if you press 'Shift' and button 'Deploy' (TREXAdmin tool -> Landscape Configuration). We will fix this error in the next Revision (Revision 25) for TREX 7.1.

Goods Receipt in Decentralized WMS

Dear Friends
Our client processes the GRN by creating a Inbound delivery for PO, Then MIGO with movement type 107 for the inbound delivery and then MIGO with 109.
Now do i process the Stock putaway in Decentralized WMS since i understand that inbound delivery is replicated in the Decentral WMS and the subsequent confirmation is done in central system upon the confirmation of TO.
The requirement is that the process of putaway in the decentral WMS must be started after MIGO -109.
Please advise me on this. Your help shall be greatly appreciated

What is the main idea for the 107 and 109? Why don't you create the PO with stock type "S" and then take the stock to your WH in this stock mode? When the goods are cleared/released you do a migo 343 to transfer the stoc kfrom block to unrestricted?
I checked out the process with 107 (where the PO has an sloc which is linked to the DWM sloc) and this is not possible.
Is this in special cases or for all inbound materials?

Sender File Adapter Not Showing in Decentral Adapter Engine

Hi,
We have recently implemented a Decentral Adapter Engine on a windows box. The adapter engine seems to be working fine because my adapters show and seem to work fine in it.
However, when I define a Sender File Adapter that uses File Content Conversion message protocol instead of just File messaeg protocol, the adapter does not show up in the decentral adapter engine.
I made sure that Adapter Engine parameter in the Sender File Adapter shows the new adapter engine but that does not seem to be working. If change the Adapter Enginer parameter to show the Central Adapter Engine, then I can see the Sender File Adapter on the Central Adapter engine and it works fine. (Note: The Central Adapter Engine is installed on a Unix box)

If the File Adapter works without conversion, then you should count the number of fields in a row. If it differs from the configuration, then it runs on error.
Another idea is to check the content type of the file. When you do not enter a File Encoding, then the file adapter assumes utf-8. If the file is for example latin-1, then the number of characters in a row are not counted correctly.

What are the advantages of using a decentralized adapter engine

Hi Narendra,
Every XI installation will install a default adapter engine and these are called as the Central / Local Adapter Engines. Most of the times this one Adapter Engine is more than sufficient.
At times, when the load on your server is going to be high , you can install a Decentral Adapter Engines and these are nothing but seprate instances of your Adapter Engine that can pick data and send it to your Integration Engine.
The need for a decentral Adapter Engine also arises when you have security restrictions, DMZ , etc in the landscape where one adapter engie is used for one particluar DMZ and another acts as the local adapter engine etc.
The main advantage is load balancing and reducing risk of "single point of failure" so if something is wrong with central system or network then atleast your message will persist for later processing.
Another practical advantage is related to maintenance, every decentral AE is independent of other so maintenance will affect small set of interfaces not others.

Decentral Adapter Engine SOAP ( XI ) to ECC Proxy

Hi,
I'm facing a situation in one of our integration scenarios, where we have a Integrated Configuration ( Sender -> Decentral Adapter Engine -> Receiver ). File -> SOAP ( XI 3.0 ). On Adapter Engine I see the messages in OK status, but I didn't see them in ECC sxmb_moni...?
Could you please help me where to check, what could be a problem?
There are no issue in st22, no entries in smq2.

yes exactly I did that, compare the number of successfully messages leaving PI and entering ECC and I have different numbers. I have 6 successfull from PI, 0 in ECC...
This is the question, why? Where do I check except ST22, what kind of error occured. This happed once so far we are aware of...

Decentral Adapter not showing up in RWB

I have just installed a J2ee Decentral Adapter instance, configured the exchange profile to connect back to the main PI instance and connected it to the SLD (both the J2ee Decentral Adapter and main PI instance use the same SLD).
One of the last steps is to check see if the Decentral Adapter shows up in the PI Instances Runtime Work Bench (RWB), but it does not.
I've noticed that on the SLD, the J2ee Decentral Adapter shows up as a Technical System, but when going to the SLD > Administration > Content Maintenance > All Instances > Class: XI Adapter Framework, that only my main PI instances show up, not the recently installed J2ee Decentral Adapter.
Anybody have any ideas of what else to check ?

1.1 SAP XI AF CPA Cache are set at the defaults of the install. The SLDAccess is set to true which according to the following SAP Help doc says that the entris are ignored: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/29/22ee41c334c717e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
1.2 SLD DATA Supplier is set correctly. I can do a CIM Test and trigger the data upload successfully. Still no entry under the Content Maintenance though.
2. SXI_CACHE > Adapter Engine still does not show the Decentral Adapter. I've even bounced both systems and the SLD.
per Chirag I've also double checked blog "Basic Steps In Decentralized Adapter Engine
This Decentral adapter is in DMZ #1, so I must use the IP of my SLD for the SLD access and my Main PI is in DMZ #2. I've checked to make sure ports 50000 and 3300 from Decentral to my PI system work - are there any other ports ?

Decentral Adapter Monitoring

Hi Gurus,
I'm trying to establish monitoring of the decentral adapter via the PI alerting framework.
However, when I create a rule, and select adapter engine -> adapter type -> MessagingSystem, I only receive errors which occur on my central adapter.
Is there a way to achieve this type of monitoring on the decentral adapter?

After configuring SLD data supplier in Visual Admin, you need to the following
1) Configure the gateway service for the central integration server on adapter engine host.
2) Perform Initial adapter engine cache refresh
3) Trigger data transfer to SLD
4) Check the connection parameters in exchangeProfile
5) Create HTTP destination pmistore in java environment
you have to go through all these tests for decentralized adapter engine. If you have XI configuration guide, it has all these steps in detail for you to configure

Decentralized Adapter Engine

We have installed an XI landscape (XID, XIQ, XIP) on Unix along with a single decentralized Adapter Engine on Windows (XD1) which is currently configured for use with our XID system. We would like to also use this same decentralized Adapter Engine with our XIQ system. However, when we export a communication channel from XID that is configured to use the decentralized adapter engine (af.XID.calxid1) and subsequently import the communication channel into XIQ the decentralized Adapter
engine that was configured in XID (af.XD1.calxid1) is
replaced with "Integration Server" (Default) in the Communication Channel configuration in XIQ. The pull down to choose an adapter engine shows only the (Default) Integration server as an available choice. Currently XID and XIQ are using the same SLD and the decentralized adapter engine (af.XD1.calxid1) is identified there. I have been unable to determine how to use the decentralized adapter engine with our XIQ system. Does anyone know whether it is possible to have multiple XI systems using the same de-centralized Adapter Engine? And if it is possible how does one configure the second XI system (XIQ) to use the decentralized adapter engine?

Decentralized Adapter Engine working

Hi guys,
I have installed a decentralized adapter engine for my XI Server. I have a scenario which i run with default Adapter Engine(Integration Server), runs fine.
However, when i run it with choosing Decentralized AE it gives such errors in
Message Monitoring:
Exception caught by adapter framework: null
Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: RecoverableException.
Also i am testing this for two simple file2file scenarios. It's acting differently; in a scenario sender commn channel picks file, in other not.
Is there any configuration settings that's remaining? Or something else?

Decentral adapter engine - No Alerts - PI 7.1

Hi Guys,
decentral adapter engine - recently installed and working fine but we are not getting any alerts.
alert rule is active by default but stilll not getting any alerts for any errors on the decentral adapter engine.
we are getting alerts properly on central adapter engine.
any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

Installaing decentral Adapter Engine (Java EE) 7.1 Including Enhanc

Dear All
we are installaing decentral Adapter Engine (Java EE) 7.1 Including Enhancement package 1 on Linux with database DB2.To do installation we have followed the installation guide "Adapter Engine (Java EE) 7.1 Including Enhancement Package 1 on Linux: IBM DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and WindowsTarget"
Accoridng to that document "In the Welcome screen, choose the required SAPinst installation option under the node SAP EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1Installation >OptionsOptional Standalone Units >Partner Connectivity Kit." we have followed the same.
The installation has been completed successfully.But to do post-installation activities the java url in not comming up.
,we have tried with physical host and ip address as well.From os level we have found that server0 process is in running status.
I am not sure why the installation guide is asking us to follow Process Integration 7.1Installation >OptionsOptional Standalone Units >Partner Connectivity Kit?
Will you please let me know whether this is the correct procedure for Installation of Adapter engine on Pi 7.1 EHP1
is there any prerequisite steps are there for adapter enginee

Hello
From your description, it appears that you have installed a PCK and not a decentral Adapter Engine.
I guess you need to follow Process Integration 7.1Installation
-> Optional Standalone Units
-> Adapter Engine
You can undeploy the PCK by following the steps in the note #1295094 Initialization of PI 7.1 XITOOLS fails.

Decentral J2EE Adapter Engine

I am trying to install a Decentral J2EE Adapter Engine.
Please could someone tell me whether, when defining ABAP UME, should I define the same users as were defined on my Central PI instance for Admin & Guest, or should I use the suffix of the users as I receive in the default values on the screen ?

Soap LookupService with Decentralized Adapter Engine

Hi Experts,
I would like to use a Decentralized adapter engine with the Lookup Service on PI 7.1 , but when try to use that, it doesn't work, because Lookup Service is default configure to use Central adapter only. I would like how to set a decentralize adapter.
How to do a Soap Lookup using a Decentral adapter?
Now, I use the following:

SystemAccessor accessor = null;

You define in the communication channel, which adapter engine should be used, not in the mapping.

How to cancell material document in decentralized scenario

Dear All,
How to cancel material document in a decentralized WM (WMS)??? I know that in a centralized scenario I should use MBST or VL09. Is there any solution?

Dear Piotr ,
If you want to cancel/reverse material document posted , you will enter into MBST and reverse it only.
For goods issues with delivery use VL09 as you have mentioned.
Other solution is enter material without referente , but you can have problem with traceability if you control receipts in your enterprise, because you have done one receipt without purchase documents.
And to finish you can adjust your stock doing an inventory document and adjust stock.
