Decimal places in to copy factor in Realignment

Hi Experts,
We requierd to enter some decimal places in to "copy factor" field in the realignment. Do we have any other setting to fulfil this requirement?
Regards
Sujay

Hi Rajnish,
Thanks for your reply.
Actually in my scenario, I dont want to delete the source value.
Lets take one example, I have two products P1 & P2. Actaully P2 product is new & I want to transfer 60.2 % of data from P1 to P2 & remaining data will be as it is with P1 product. I am not going to delete the P1 product. So here I will have to enter 60.2 % as a copy factor while realignment but system does not allow me to enter copy factor in decimal places.
Do we have any setting or customization to do this?

Sujay

  • Changing Decimal places

    Hi Experts,
    I have this strange problem for one of our clients. He is using SAP 2007, he wants to decrease the decimal places . I have told him that it is not possible to decrease the decimal places in 2007 version of SAP.
    However it is important for him to decrease the amounts and quantity field due to one of the external add on. I have suggested him to create a new company, change the decimal places, then use copy express and DTW for copying and importing data from the old database
    Can you let me know if there are any other ideas/thoughts to achieve this ?
    regards
    Johnson

    Hi,
    In version 2007 you cannot decrease the decimal places.
    The reason why it was changed was due to Rounding inconsistencies which were happening due to the changing of the decimals during the course of the Business.
    It will not be possible to decrease the decimal places from already set.
    Kind Regards,

  • Pricelist Factor Decimal Places

    HI Experts,
    I am using 2007B,Pl04 and I need to increase the factor in pricelists to 4 decimal places.
    I have an MRP price list based on which I need to create dealer pricelists which is a factor of .7384 of the MRP list.
    Is there a way to do so ?
    Regards,
    Asap

    Hi Asap,
    Decimal places can only be increased in 2007 version. Make sure you don't want to decrease them later.  In addition to the above answer, currency decimal setting under Financial setup may also be changed.
    Thanks,

    Please help...

    Hi, I posted a message to SAP on this topic and got an explanation - it is a behaviour that cannot be changed in certain cases:
    it is the known design that it is always displayed with three decimal
    places for normalized values and the setting in Query Designer for
    decimal place doesn't take effect. This is because that normalization
    changes the number dimension of this structure element.
    You may refer to below notes about more details.
    > 869135 Decimal places and scaling for "Calculate Single Values As"
    You cannot set the number of decimal places or the scaling for some
    columns or structural components.
    For 2: Some "Calculate As" functions change the number dimension of a
    KID. In this case, the scaling and the number of decimal places set for
    the KID are no longer relevant. In this case, the system ignores the
    original setting and selects a setting that corresponds to the new
    number dimension. This cannot be overwritten. The following functions
    are affected:
    Calculate Single Values as Scale to Result, Overall Result or Query
    Result: Scaling 1 and three decimal places.
    > 501930 Number of decimal places setting is not applied
    As a result, normalized values resulting from the list calculation are
    displayed with three decimal places and without scaling by default.
    best regards, thom

  • The decimal place is wrong in GR55

    Dear Expert:
    We are using currency JPY
    We now creating a new report using report painter, but unfortunately the decimal place is wrong,
    the result is only one percentage of the real amount, how can I get this issue solved?
    notice that we are using report painter, not ABAP programming, so function module BAPI_CURRENCY_CONV_TO_INTERNAL
    is not applicable.

    Dear Lu Meng
    I was reading your question which seems not answered at all.
    I have EXACTLY your same issue.
    In ECC using a FAGLFLEXT Report Painter.
    My zero decimal currencies such as HUF and JPY are showing in the report, with decimals, thus are factor of 100 too small. Even changing layout deimcals, etc has NO EFFECT.
    Did you solve this sissue? OSS has nothing either?
    Thanks for any assistance.

    Hi Gurus,
    Is it possible to change the number decimal places for the Percentage field in cost Assignment tab in Shopping cart in cost distribution option?
    The user wants 3 decimal places, currently we can enter only 2 decimal places.
    I have gone thro' couple of blogs which are talking about changing the price decimal and not the percentage field decimal. (in IMG setting: General settings > Currencies > Set Decimal places)
    So, if anyone come acorss this issue, please let me know.

    Decimal Places Factor of the Receiver Weighting Factors
    Specifies the number of valid decimal places with which the given weighting factors are valuated.
    Example
    You enter 123456 as the weighting factor. Depending on the factor, this number is interpreted as:
    Factor Decimal places Weighting factor
    1 0 123456
    10 1 12345.6
    100 2 1234.56

  • Changing decimal places for currencies

    Hi everyone,
    I'm a complete begginer to SAP BI and I need to change a value in SPRO > General Settings > Currencies > Set Decimal Places for Currencies, but the option that I want doesn't exist.
    I need to add a new entry with the value: currency - EUR6 and decimals 6, but there is no 6 available. Can anyone tell me where can I add this or what is the table where this information is???
    Thanks in advance!
    Rogério Brá

    ok I think it works - just try and play
    This is what I did (sort of same scenario - if you get my drift)
    Currency Key MGF - translation ratio 1000:1
    Exchange rate is : 11:02750 to the Euro
    Invoice entered for 1,000,000.00
    Currency calculated as 90.68 eur
    (ie 1,000,000/(11.02750 * 1000))
    You can play aroudn with direct/indirect to ge the factors right
    But it works (I thought it did - I am qualified FICO honest!!)
    This wont get you around displaying 6 decimals - BUT it will help with currency conversion

  • Formatting currencies and decimal places

    I'm currently using NumberFormat.getCurrencyInstance() to format numbers as currency. However, one problem I'm having is that I'd like values with no cents to be formatted with no decimal places, and any values with cents to be formatted with the usual 2 decimal places. For example:
    17 would be formatted as $17
    17.45 would be formatted as $17.45
    17.4 would be formatted as $17.40
    The last one is the tricky part--I've tried formatter.setMinimumFractionDigits(0), and this works great for the first two cases. But for the last case, the number gets formatted as $17.4.
    Basically my problem is I want a number to be formatted with zero or two decimal places and nothing in between. Is there an easy way to do this?
    Thanks in advance.

  • 11g Client - Inconsistencies at the 16th decimal place

    In TOAD, SQLPlus, & ODBC clients numbers returned from a query are correct (max 3 decimal places)
    In Discoverer & from a report, the numbers are off at the 16th decimal place...
    EG:
    7.081 becomes 7.0810000000000004
    7.090 becomes 7.0999999999999994 (which is exceptionally weird because the rounding doesn't work)
    7.200 becomes 7.2000000000000002
    Any idea what would cause this?
    How can I query from SQLPlus (or TOAD) to confirm whether or not those extended decimal places actually exist in the table?

    Alan3 wrote:
    Maybe I should have added this little tidbit...Please be as verbose as possible (feasible). Show queries etc. - use copy and paste.
    The particular table in question is an interface table that has been in place for 4+ years.
    The columns in question are of data type NUMBER.
    We just switched the PC that runs this interface to Win7 with an 11g client.Describe the interface. E.g. In what program language is it written?
    Now we see the extended decimals with Discoverer (on any PC) and the interface report (an old report built from developer 6) as well, but not from SQL, etc...How is changing one pc client related to the Discoverer and Reports reports? Has the database server been upgraded also? (full version from select * from v$version; )
    Do you see the same change for "old" data (from before the switch).
    I want to know if there is a setting in SQLPlus or the DB client that limits the display of the decimal places that I can alter to determine if the extended decimals actually show up... (they shouldn't be there at all)Both sqlplus and db may affect the outcome, e.g.
    SQL> desc test
    Name                                      Null?    Type
    A                                                  NUMBER
    B                                                  NUMBER(38,5)
    SQL> show numw
    numwidth 10
    SQL>
    SQL> select * from test;
             A          B
         12345      12345
    123456789  123456789
        123,45     123,45
    123,456789  123,45679
         1,234      1,234
    1,23456789    1,23457
    6 rows selected.The same values was inserted to both columns of test. With scale = 5 for its datatype, B values are rounded (4th and 6th row).
    SQL> set numw 5
    SQL> select * from test;
        A     B
    12345 12345
    123,5 123,5
    123,5 123,5
    1,234 1,234
    1,235 1,235
    6 rows selected.The numwidth setting affects sqlplus formatting.

  • Storeing values in floate data type upto two decimal places

    Hi
    I want a float type field in my table but want to store value up to two decimal places.
    so what syntax i need to follow plz suggest.
    thanks

    it is not possible to store with Number datatype. if you are using the data to sho report, then change its format (like 45 to 45.00). if you want to store 45.00 in database, then you have to modify the datatype for that column. for this follow the following path
    1. Add a column of datatype Varchar2.
    2. Copy all the value of your number field to it.
    3. Drop the old column.
    4. However make sure that if you have used that column somewhare in arithmetic calculation, the modify it and use to_number function to do arithmetic opration.

  • Problem with transaction CUNI and configuring decimal places

    Note: I'm actually an ABAP programmer and do not know almost anything about SAP configuration.
    Note2: Sorry if this was posted in the wrong section. I am trying to avoid an ABAP solution so I did not post this in the ABAP section.
    Note3: Sorry for cross posting. I'm trying to make this visible to as much experts as possible.
    \[Problem\]
    I'm tasked to increase the number of decimal places that a certain standard program in MM accepts.
    \[ABAP solution I'm trying to avoid\]
    The consultants' initial recommendation was to make Z copies of the standard table and the standard programs that references that table. This would be rather dangerous as there is the risk of missing certain parts of the code If I was to replace all occurences of the old standard table with my custom Z table.
    \[Standard solution I'm trying to do\]
    Now I've read several threads here that makes use of transaction CUNI to adjust decimal places of certain units of measure (see Re: Unit Of Measure problem and change decimal places in PO quantity). However, when I tried it, It does not work the way I expect it to.
    In SE11, I created a custom table that has a quantity field (length: 13, decimals: 3) and a unit field (length 3)
    In CUNI, I created a new ISO code TST (for test). Then I created a new Unit of measure ZTT (ZTesT) which makes use of my ISO code TST. I set the decimal places to 6.
    When I insert data into my custom table, instead of 6, the number of decimal places remain at 3.
    Please help in adjusting decimal places without touching the table.

    Hello Dzed,
    I've read several posts that suggest transaction CUNI to adjust decimal places in standard unit of measures. What I tried is a simplified simulation of what is needed.
    In a more realistic sense, consider table VBRP and column FKIMG. What If I want to store items in VBRP and allow 6 decimal places for FKIMG but I am not allowed to modify the table? Is making a Z copy of VBRP the only solution? Or is there a more standard way of doing this?
    My worry is that If I copy a table, I also need to copy the programs that use it and modify them accordingly. Our Basis do not want the standard tables touched.

  • Question about decimal places

    Guys,
    When I do the "Normalization of Result" and make "Number of Decimal Places" as 0.00.  The result still gives me 100.000%.  Is there a way that i can make it 100.00%?

    Hi Ram,
    As shown in the properties itself in "Number of Decimal Places" --> (From Keyfigure: 0.000), it is the default thing provided by SAP. Try giving different things for "Scaling Factor" too along with "Number of Decimal Places", you may achieve your required thing.

  • Need to restrict numeric entry to two decimal places

    Hello,
    I have a cfform with a cfinput of type=text. I need to restrict what can be entered into the cfinput so that it allows only two decimal places. I have tried the mask, but it won't work because "99999.99" will not allow 12.34 and "99.99" will not allow 12345.67.
    I have read about validate and pattern but I've never used them. I don't know JavaScript, but I can copy and paste pretty well.

  • Rounding off a float to two decimal places

    I want to make a function where I shall pass a float and and integer.
    The float shall have to be rounded off to a value in the integer.
    Can anyone please suggest how to round off a float.
    E.g.: if the float is 12.56890 and I want to round it off to 2 decimal places, then it should be 12.57.
    Regards
    Hawker

    I didn't mention any datatypes like float, double.True, but that is what the question is about, so you weren't answering the question. For a change.
    As I mentioned, that was just a mathematical steps to round of the floating point value. (Not in any programming languages point of view).False. You didn't mention that at all.
    This is the code for that in java.So here you are mentioning datatypes and floats for the same piece of mathematics that you have already been told, with reasons, doesn't work in floating point.
    which seems to be working fine
    Seems to. What evidence do you have that the float actually got rounded? As opposed to got displayed as rounded? Which is not what the OP asked for.
    And of course all that code seems to do is round 0.01 to two decimal places, which again is not what the OP asked for.
    For any remaining fans of this 'technique', please explain the behaviour of the following code:
         public static void     main(String[] args)
              int     count = 0, errors = 0;
              for (double x = 0.0; x < 1; x += 0.0001)
                   count++;
                   double     d = x;
                   int     scale = 2;
                   double     factor = Math.pow(10, scale);
                   d = Math.round(d*factor)/factor;
                   if ((d % 0.01) != 0.0) // if 'd' really has been rounded this should be zero
                        System.out.println(d % 0.01);
                        errors++;
              System.out.println(count+" trials "+errors+" errors");
         }
