Decimal places not allowed

Hello,
We have created one materail , their Base unit of measure is "BOX" Checked the CUNI transaction, in that Decimal places  field is "0' and Decimal place rounding filed "0"
With reff to this material while creation of Purchase order system will allow me to enter Decimal places..Means i can enter 102.132 BOX in qty filed in Purchase order.
But with ref to same material while creation of process order, system will not allow me to enter decimal places. why?  system should not allow decimal places for BOX unit of measure in Process order.
sapman man

you cannot restrict this behaviour with CUNI customizing, you can only check and stop this in a user exit.
SAP inventory managment allows and stores 3 decimals for any unit of measure. You can only define how it will show the value to the users and how it will round the decimals if it calculates the conversion. But if you enter manually with decimals, then SAP will not round this.

  • Error: decimal places not allowed

    Hi,
I am entering a PO in currency JPY(Japanese Yen). However when I try to enter a PO with net price for one of the items as say 2.71,it gives error decimal places not allowed.
I have maintained currency rate as 100 local currency=3.1 Yen
It only gives problem while using this currency.
What is the way out ?
    Regards,

    Hi,
Check the config of the currency code (OY04), it is probably set to not allow decimal places.
If this is the case, don't change it, simply enter a price of 271 with a price unit of 100, in the PO. This will give you a price of 2.71 for one

    Hi,
Please check in customizing UOM (T code-CUNI).
In dimensions check the decimal point for the unit of measurement.

  • Decimal places not visble depending on unit of measure

    Hi,
I have a fields in a table line that is a quantity field with 3 decimal places, I also have a unit of measure associated with that quantity.
When my unit of measure is EA the quantity displays with 3 decimal places, but when the unit of masure is M it displays with NO decimal places. The display becomes very ugly when there is a mixture of units of measure.
Anyone know why thsi is happening?
    Cheers,
    Ross

I'd suggest that there is a conversion routine specified on the domain of the amount field - probably "CUNIT" which takes the value of the unit, looks it up in T006 and then applies relevant formatting to the field.
This isn't really a WDA thing - it's nice that WDA does this (well perhaps not in your case but it is standard behaviour for amounts and unit fields.
    Cheers,
    Chris

  • FF5: when I go to Bookmark menu, and select a folder of my bookmarks, the resultant pop-up menu stays in place, not allowing me to access another bookmark folder instead. Just started happening today after I updated to FF5.

My bookmark folder has a number of sub-folders in it. When I try to access a bookmark, and mistakenly hover over the wrong sub-folder, the resultant pop-out menu will not go away, so I can't access the proper sub-folder. I have to click outside the pop-out and start all over again.

Ok. Update. Ive been playing around with this a bit. So the first thing I tried was adding a bookmark directly to the toolbar and not to a folder. This worked. I can see the bookmark on the tool bar and in the toolbar folder under organize bookmarks. Now. I try to add a bookmark for the same page to a folder on the toolbar. This time it shows up under bookmarks toolbar/*subfolder in organize bookmarks. But it does not show up in that folder under the actual tool bar. Like I said in my last post. I do not have two "bookmark toolbar" folders. just one that I am aware of.

  • Decimal Places are not Permitted for Chile Country

    Hi All,
In OVA8 settings for Chile country at the field max.doc value, i am not able to use the decimals. getting error message as Decimlas are not permitted (Message no - 00011). checked OY04 - there is no decimals for Chile currency. checked - OY01 Dec.Pt. format as 1.234.567,89
For Argentina, Peru and Uruguay same settings has been done and i am able to save the decimal points in OVA8 at the field max.doc value.
Please let me know if there is any specifis settings for Chile or SAP NOTE
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

    HI,
    just looking at a brand-new ECC60 / EhP4 system where nobody changed OY04 settings.
I can find CLP (Chilean Peso) in the list with ' ' decimal places, so thats why there are no decimal places allowed.
Check again OY04, if you find an entry for CLP and NOTHING is maintained it means that ZERO dec. places are allowed.
If you find an entry in OY04 with a number of decimal places >0 than this decimal places are allowed.
If there is NO entry for a given currency then its used with 2 decimal places (SAP standard).
So OY04 is only for the currencies that should be treated different as SAP standard.
    Best regards, Christian

  • Decimal Places are not permitted

    Hello,
The Vendor Invoice amount in Rs 25920.72 and the currency is INR, When i am entering in T.code FB60 i am getting an error "Decimal Places not permiited". i made changes in T.code SU01 (Maintained User) and T.code OY01 (Defining Countries in SAP Systems) respectively but still getting the same error as "Decimal Places not permitted". After that i checked in T.code OY04 (Set Decimal Places for Currencies) and there Currency INR is reflected and "no decimal places"  field is assigned to it. What should be done. Please Help!
    Regards
    Ashwin

Yes. you are right, once done the transaction for INR

  • Decimal Places SAP 07

    Hi All,
Does anyone know why we cant change Decimal places settings in SAP 07? I am running PL 08. When I try to change the decimal places settings from 6 to 2, I receive an error that says 'Decimal Places cannot be decreased'.
We are able to change this in PLD but my client has a problem with viewing this ridiculous amounts of zeros on the screen as-well.
    Please help!

Not possible to do this AFAIK. You can only increase the number of decimal places, not decrease. This should have been explained at the initial system setup.

  • Bex: overall Result: number of decimal places

    Good day
How to I change the number of decimal places for the "Overall result" in a query?
    Your assistance is appreciated.
    Cj Faurie

    Thanks for your response.
The number format in properties for the KF (formula created in query) has been set to '0' decimal places. I also use the "Average of all values <>0" in the calculate results for the KF. If you use "Summation" then the decimal will apply, but not with the "Average .....".
My "0CALMONTH" is in rows and results is based on this (set to 'never') as I want the Overall Result to display first as my chart is based on the OResult and not the individual figures.
"This is the layout of my report"
    Territory     Overall Result    2007/02     2007/03    2007/03
    Boland       205.8333           21             242          355
The "overall result' should display as '206'. Why does the 'decimal place' not apply to "Average of all v...."?
    Thanks
    Cj

  • BEx Analyzer displays wrong number of decimal places after implementing BW patch

    Hey folks,
we patched our BW 7.31 from PL10 to PL15 last weekend and now we got some issue with the number of decimal places shown in BEx Analyzer 7.x.
    One example for KF X
    Settings Info Object X
    Decimal Places:                         Not defined
    RSRT - Display X
    Shows 3 decimal places
Query Designer Settings using KF X
Number of Descimal Places:     0  [Use Default Settings: NO]
BEx Analyzer Properties for KF X
    Decimal Places:                         0
Resulting in BEx Analyzer workbook shows 3 decimal places instead of 0!
Anyone with an good idea about that?
    Thanks,
    Andreas

    Hi Andreas,
Have you used the list calulation like "Calculate Result As Average" or "Calculate Single Values as normalization of result" in the relevant key figures?
For "Calculate Single Values as normalization of result",iIt is the known design that it is always displayed with three decimal places for normalized values, and the setting in Query Designer for
    decimal place doesn't take effect.
For "Calculate Result As Average", the following note maybe relevant.
2096911 - Decimal places in query result is wrong, if average is used and display precision is set to less than 3, it will always show 3 decimal places.
Another clue is to check if the key figure is a Quantity type with unit, and what's defined in table
T006 field ANDEC for this unit.
    Hope this helpful.
    Regards,
    Ceciclia

  • Decimal place for qualitative characterstics

i have  lot with 01 inspection type ,quantity 1.5 Litres, its a qualitative MIC with classed recording ,while result recording for this
quantity to be Accepted are rejected and partialy accepted, while entering the values i.e 1.5 its giving a error that is no decimal places are allowed,i checked all the Base units its all in Litres, how i overcome this type issue,

Yes system behaves as per setting you have done
1.You have selected Qualitative Char ,it means you should enter "accepted or  rejected" etc.
but you have entered 1.5 this is a "Quantitative Value"
2.So You have make this char as "Quantitative" ,select the upper limit ,lower limit ,base value along with decimal places(say 2).
this will  allow you to enter value 1.5 or 1.50 etc

  • Can not change the number of decimal places in the normalization of result

    dear all
i want to see the proportion of some data, for example, the income of May is 300, and the total income is 1000, i need to display it like 33.33% . so i set the
Calculate single values as normalization of result, and then it display 33.333%, i like to display only two number of decimal places, so i set the number of decimal places as 0.00, but i doesn't work, it still display three decimal numbers.
maybe you say i can use the percentage function like %CT %GT %RT, but i need to allow external access to my query, so the i can not use those functions.
can somebody helps me ? your advice is appreciated.

hi,thanks for your advice, but that doesn't suit for my problem.
before i set the normalization of result, i can change the decimal values. After that i cann't.
In your thread, someone proposes use the T-code OY04. but this wouldn't help. As i change to other key figure, such as user quantity, when i set normalization of result, it still display 3 decimal values.
i think the point maybe lie in the normalization of result. please advise... thanks...
