Hi there,
Can any one pls enlighten me that is there any setting in SPRO (without ABAP in picture) to change the decimal precision for the qty of  item material in BOM ?
Points will be rewarded for helpful answers....!!
Thanks

  • How do you set the decimal precision of a float?

    Hello,
I am new to Java and have run into a problem. I am trying to truncate an array of floats and save them to a file. I want to save two decimal places with 0's ie: 0 as 0.00
    For example:
I have a number 0.9772128 and I want to convert it and store it as 0.98, the following code seems to truncate it but there is a problem.
    float d = output_Weights;
    d = Math.round(d * 100) / 100.0;
some of my numbers come out as .1 instead of .10 and I can't seem to figure out how to add the 0's on the end of them.
Does anyone have any suggestions or a better way of getting the two decimal precision?
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

And if you want to set the decimal precision when you convert the floating point number to text (which is what you are talking about when you say it ends with .1 instead of .10), you use a DecimalFormat object to do that.
(By the way, isn't there supposed to be an apostrophe in Arc'teryx?)

    Dear SAP PP,
In standard SAP the syetm allows you to maintain only upto 3 decimal places.
For configuring the units use T Code CUNI

  • Decimal quantity in BOM

    Dear Gurus,
Need Urgent help. We want to use decimal quantity in BOM componenets. If base unit of measurement PC is used then system not allowing to use but if PCS is used then system allows to use decimal quantity. Please let us know other repurcussions of using decimal quantity in BOM. We are having following concerns while using PC
    1. Practically issuing material in decimal to production order is not possible.
    2. if system round off the quantity then there will be variance in planned cost & actual cost
What could be the effect in other modules if PCS is used.
    Regards,
    SAP CONS

In SAP R/3 all quantity fields use the domain MENG13 so even though your unit PC is not allowing any decimals it is still storing the values with 3 decimal places. If you do not mention any value in decimal rounding in transaction code CUNI (Table T006-ANDEC) it will take the rounding value as 0 decimal places. If you do not mention any value in Decimal places CUNI (T006-DECAN) it will display zero decimals. BUT internally it storing it as 1.000. In the BOM you will just see it as 1
So as per knowledge it should not affect anything. You  can go ahead and change the PC in CUNI and set both values "Decimal places" and "Decimal pl. rounding" to 3.

  • How to maintain decimal places in BOM Qty & what is the essence of base qty

    Hello PP members
How to maintain decimal places in BOM Qty & what is the essence of base quantity in BOM ?
    Thank You

ur first question is not understood, You can have maximum of 3 decimals in BOM item qty.
Base qty is the qty which is refered to all the BOM items.
    example -
    Product X, base qty 1
    Raw material 1 - componen t qty= 1
    Raw material 2 - Component qty= 5
This means To produce Product with qty1, it needs raw material 1 qty 1  and raw material 2 qty 5.
This means To produce Product with qty10, it needs raw material 1 qty 10  and raw material 2 qty 50.
This is the meaning of Base qty..it is the referece qty refered to all the components.
    About the decimal places
    let us say  example 2
To produce Product with qty1, it needs raw material 1 qty 1  and raw material 2 qty .0001.
When you enter this in SAP for the raw materialm 2 system will give error message that you  need to enter the qty with maximum 3 decimal places, hence you need to enter as below
Product with qty10, it needs raw material 1 qty 10  and raw material 2 qty .001.
This is how you need to adjsut the base qty and component qty with decimalplaces moer than 3,

  • Migrated database from 2008 R2 to 2012 getting wrong decimal precisions

Migrated SQL Server database from 2008R2 to 2012 using backup and restore option
When I do aggregate sum on both the databases 2008 and 2012 decimal precision is coming different. Because of this measure value in SSAS cube browser is calculated wrongly compared to 2008 R2 vs 2012
    select SUM(rate) from [InfoDB]
    2008 R2 Result
    3029520.583895
    2012 Result
    3029520.58389499
Rate column is float data type Length 8, Precision 53, Scale is null
Please suggest if any work around for this.

    Hello,
Does changing the underlying data to decimal possible? Instead of using float. Please try that.

  • Can not put decimal quantity in BOM quantity

    Hi all,
while go to put decimal quantity in BOM quantity, sytem is not allowing me. It is only allowing me to put only integer number.
    with regards,
    partha

    Partha,
Is it an error or warning message. Like Suhas said it might be due to User settings. Change the format for numbers to decimal (middle one) in User settings.
IF it is a warning message it may be that the UOm does not support decimals as per customizing. Check in CUNI.

  • Decimal unit in Bom

    dear gurus,
when i enter quantity in BOM in decimal for eg. 0.0001 gm,system do not accept more than 3 decimal is there any setting bom itself to increase this decimal. please suggest solution,
    points will be rewarded...
    regards
    Pravin

    Hi
The system setting is 3 decimal places only.
In your BOM if the base qty is 1 then u need to enter 0.0001.
change the base qty to 100 or 1000 and enter 0.01 or 0.1 insted of changing the decimal places.
    This will solve ur problem.
This is required as u never use 0.0001 in real production.

  • Qty with more than 3 decimal places in BOM

    HI ALL,
CAN I PUT QTY IN BOM WITH MORE THAN 3 DECIMAL PLACES ITS VERY URGENT REQUIREMENT.
    THANKS
    R SEHGAL

    Dear Rakesh
I am not sure, but you can try this
    1. Define one more UOM for example 4dec then in MM02 give the conversion of 4dec to your 3 decimal, give conversion in it. for eg 10*3dec = 4 dec
    2. Now when you define bom enter quantity in 3dec(i,e, multiplying by 10) and then convert the uom in BOM to 4dec
You can try and let us know your feedback
    Regards

  • Adding Decimal Precision

I need to compare values from two seperate databases, one stores values in pence the other in pounds, so I need to times the pence by 100 to get the same value in pounds. However I also need decimal two precision, ie. xxx.00
Can someone tell me how to do this in a simple select query? I had a brief look at numeric functions but nothing stood out

No need to do anything special. Just:
    select ....
    from t1,t2
    where t1.pence/100=t2.pound;
Oracle doesn't round nor trunc by default:
    SQL> select 30033/100 from dual;
    >>>
    30033/100
    300.33

  • Requisition Lines price decimal precision

    Dear All,
I enter a price in Requisition Lines as follow:
           Price             Price (SGD)       Amount (SGD)
120USD      151.524962766302          151.52It is expected that the price will appear as 151.52 rather than 151.524962766302
    My environment is: ORACLE R12.1.3
    Regards
    Terry

    Hi Terry,
Your issue seems to be related to Price and linked to GL Currency conversion and rounding. Basically you are creating a requisition with foreign currency and don't want to restrict the rounding to 2 decimal places.
You can address this issue by setting up the precision under Currencies setup of GL for SGD (GL --> Setup --> Currencies --> Define --> Change Precision as per your requirement) . But the risk is, this change in precision will affect across all modules. It is widely accepted to use rounding to 2 decimal places.
    Choice is yours. :)

  • Is it possible to increase the Transaction Qty... Decimal Precision...

    Hi All,
Is it possible to have the Material: Transaction Qty as 7 decimal points?
    Eg. 3.1234567
If so, How to achieve this?
    Thanks,
    K.Nataraja Suthan,

    Hi
It would be very complicated to use this as this is at row level and this is probably price or qty  and it needs to be calculated every time .
I haven't test it but I think you can use user defined field at row level and use formatted search to get the total .
I know you want to achieve this ,my suggestion would be review your business process and limit it to six digit within SAP limitation .
You can fulfill the request by customization or addon  but it will take a lot of effort and other thing is maintenance .
    Hope this helps

  • Decimal place support in BOM for R11i

Hi, does anyone can enable higher precision upto 9 decimal place in BOM, existing only 6 decimal place support in component quantity but ct would need more. Does R11i (11.5.4) support more than 6 decimal place in BOM? if it can, how to setup.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rex

    HI Indraneel,
Both are important. When you upload any data and create PO,So this will be important .Similarly oy04 also.It is not allowed to change this manually. This is maintained as per the country currency.

On Camera Profile why still "Camera D2X mode..." and not "Camera D3X mode..."?

There is a grid, available for use in the Lens Correction panel. Go to the flyout menu and choose "Show Grid." (Or press the V key.)
