Decision step to UWL

Hi All,
I have created a Z workflow in SRM and all the decision workitems for this workflow are going to SRM portal. I have kept only one outcome in that decision step called Approve.
When I am opening this wi on Portal I can not see Approve button. There are few standard buttons are appearing.
I suspect that there are some Portal config required to achieve this, If yes then please advise.
Thanks
Devraj

Hi,
You might want to ask this from SRM workflow forum.

  • User Decision step in UWL

    Hi,
    I have a 3 user decision steps in my Customised workflow which uses the task TS00008267. Each task has different decison text and outcome. When this is executed through UWl the outcome does not appear as they are in SBWP.
    Does this need and Portal Configuration?
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
    There are two thing you need to do.
    First, you need to configure the SWFVISU.
    Run Tcode SWFVISU.
    here, select "Task Visualization' and maintain your standard task ( TS ) with ABAP web dynpro option.
    Now selct your entry and click on Visualization Parameters as mentopn below.
    APPLICATION ( WD application name )
    DYNPARAM
    NAMESPACE
    SYSTEM_ALIAS
    Second, ask Portal team to chagne the XML code for the above standard task and application ( i.e. WD appilcation which will be launced on clicking the task ).
    From the next run of the workflow, WD applcitoon will be lauched from the protal.
    for the old workitem this will not work.
    Note : If u do not configure SWFVISU then WD application will not lauch but user will get SAP gui screen for processing it.
    xlm code must be changed corresponding task for both case.
    Thanks and ragards,

  • Refresh dynamic text of decision step in UWL

    Hi Experts,
    I have a custom decision task with a dynamic title that is send to the approvers (could be multiple) for processing from UWL.
    The text ís :  "User &1 raised a leave request for the date &2. Approval needed."
    Where &1 is the user initiating the workflow and &2 is the date for which the leave request is raised.
    The decision step is shown correctly for all the approvers in the UWL.
    Problem:
    The user has an option to change the date on which he wants to apply the leave, before the decision step is acted upon by any of the approvers.
    in such scenarios, though the workflow containers are updating correctly, the dynamic text shown in the UWL still shows the old date.
    Can you please let me know if there is any way of 'refreshing' the text of the decision step that is already displayed in UWL so that it always shows the correct date.
    Thanks,
    Cay.

  • Link in User Decision step not showing correctly in UWL

    Hi SAP Experts,
    I have a requirement to add a link in a user decision step, this link triggers a custom webdynpro for additional input. When I access the workitem from Business Workplace, the link is showing fine. But when I execute the workitem in UWL, the link is not displayed, instead the code is shown (<a>...</a>). Please advise on what I should do to have the link working. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    This same thing was just recently discussed. I just cannot find the thread anymore (well, in that thread there was not really any solution). Basically the hyperlinks in work item do not seem to work in UWL as they should. I don't know if there are any way to make them work. My suggestion is to not use the hyperlink at all and replace that with an action (=button) to the task in the UWL. This can be achieve quite easily by simple XML configuration in portal. If you have worked with UWL this should be quite straightforward for you, or if there is a consultant at the site, who is familiar with UWL, this should be simple for him/her.

  • SOFM in user decision step - provide reason in UWL

    Hello Everyone,
    I'm working with a customer who wants to use a user decision step and add a reason for the rejection only.  This step will be executed in UWL - since UWL doesn't support syncrhonous dialog chains, it can't be implemented by adding another step with SOFM.  I have seen the 'template with attachment' in the user decision step, and have tried binding SOFM to the Reference in the container, but the user doesn't have the option.
    Perhaps this could be implemented with a secondard amodal method - which checks the user decision code and only implements if the decision was rejected.  I'd like to be able to put a condition on the secondary methods.
    If you've done something like this, please let me know!
    Regards
    Ginger

    Hi Ginger,
    Unfortunately it is not only synchronous dialog chains, but also secondary methods that are not supported in the UWL, so you're stuck both ways.
    Though, I have been told that the latest SP does support some kind of advance with dialog functionality (SP15 I think?).
    At one customer we used a custom ABAP-based decision step which executed in a wingui session - thus synchronous dialog chains worked as long as every subsequent step was wingui based (which SOFM.CREATE obviously is) - worked quite well.
    Let me know if you need more info.
    Cheers,
    Mike

  • "You can also" link in UWL work item when using user decision step in workflow

    Hi,
    Just want to check if anybody has tried adding links to this section in the UWL when using user decision step? I need to pass some custom links which will be calling some webdynpro applications and backend transactions. I have read somewhere that Ineed to modify the XML file but don' t know how the next steps once I have defined (i.e. how to handle those links).
    Thanks in advance.
    Rammel

    Hi Rammel
    I hope you are keeping well and many thanks for using the SAP Discussion Forums .
    Based upon your scenario you mentioned that:
    You want to add links to the "You Can Also" section in the UWL with user decision steps
    In an effort to pass custom links (calling web dynpro) applications.
    You wish to know how to modify the XML
    Ok now based upon the scenario there are two key points regarding XML files and efforts to change them.
    Remember that XML in terms of the UWL follow the notion of precedence. Now that means that once you make a change to an XML file you need to re-upload it to realize changes. To re-upload an XML file and realized changes you need to do so with a "High" or "Very High" priority and also ensure that the UWL Cache has been cleared of the UWL Service restarted so changes can be realized.
    The second key point is to ensure that you backup all current XML files before making any changes so you can easily revert those changes if required.
    Now reverting back to your query, the XML files and the "You Can Also" section. Kindly see the documentation outlined below as here you are going to make changes to the I-View configuration:
    Configuring the UWL

    Kindly update me as per your findings.

  • User decision step execution from UWL

    Hi,
         I copied the standard user decision step and added my own text in that task. My requirement is i have to  execute that step from UWL . i need to configure this task in SWFVISU, so that it will appear in UWL.  My question is what  are the parameters i need to maintain in swfvisu TXn . because this is not a webdynpro application or Bsp Application.

    Please check this SAP help [document|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/44/b7047434d91578e10000000a114a6b/content.htm]
    In SWFVISU the two mandatory parameters that you need to consider are
    APPLICATION -
    >  <application name>
    PAGE_ID     -
    > page1.htm/ default.htm.
    <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.TS<XXXXXXXX>.SAP_ECC" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="launchBSP" executionMode="default">
          <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="SAP_ECC" externalType="<XXXXXXXX>." connector="WebFlowConnector"/>

  • User Decision step- Upon reject, auto-popup text for reason

    In a user decision step, when the user clicks the reject button, open text for rejection reason within the workitem.
    i have done the following
    1) Create a new step
    2) Create a task based on SOFM.CREATE
    3) Binded  WIOBJECT_ID => (append table) ADHOCOBJECTS
    It works fine, when the user clicks the reject button a new work item with the reason for rejection lands in the user inbox, which when clicked brings up the doc.
    I want to make it seamless for the user where as soon as the reject button is clicked, the document <b>should open right away</b> without a new work item in the inbox
    Any help will be greatly appreciated

    Hi
    If you are using the portal/UWL then search the blogs for a solution otherwise give this a try, in your step definition for the 2 steps, go to the Details tab and tick 'Advance with dialog', this will work if you execute from the business workplace.
    Good Luck!

  • Note in user decision step

    Dear Experts,
    I have requirement to add a note in user decision step to allow the user to enter comments while approving or rejecting workitem in UWL. I have enabled the note using XML file. I read that this comments will be captured in workflow container element attachobjects. My requirement is to send the comments entered by approver to initiator via mail. Please let me know how to capture the comments from UWL note to send mail step.
    Br,
    Bharath

    Hi Rick,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I have got the attachments in container element attachobjects. Can you please tell me how to get the text entered by the user from this step because currently I have SOFM instance in hand. I am not sure how to convert this to some form and extract the user comments alone. Are there any FM that can help to do this.

  • Decision Step Outcome

    Hi Folks,
    We are using webdynpro application to approve the workitem in UWL. This is a standard decision step and we have made a custom screen in webdynpro with approve and reject buttons Once approver clicks on approve or reject button, we are populating container fields  _WI_Result  and _Result as '0001' for approved and '0002' for rejected.
    The issue that  we are facing is , for some scenarions, even though the value in container is populated as '0002', but in workflow log it is showing decision step as approved. As a result of this, despite rejection , worklow is going to next step approval. Please provide your inputs how to tackle this.
    Please note we are facing this issue for some scenarios only, for rest of instances, the decision is populated correctly for both approved and rejected workitems.
    Regards,
    Sangvir

    We are using FM  'SWW_WI_CONTAINER_MODIFY' to update the container field for above mentioned values. Could that be issue that it is not updating values in database container correctlt.
    Would using sap_wapi_write_container be a better approach here?

  • Adding notes to decision task in UWL

    Hi there WUGers,
    We're looking into deploying UWL and I'm running into some "challenges."
    First, we're on  Portal release: SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) SPS 15, the backend is ECC 6.0 (Release: 700     0015     SAPKB70015)
    What I want to do is to have the "generic decision step" allow me to enter a comment/notes when I select the "reject" option on a given work item, as I've read in numerous forums, WUG emails, etc...
    The "standard" config in UWL for this task is:
        <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.TS00008267.EX3" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="launchSAPAction" executionMode="default">
          <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="EX3" externalType="TS00008267" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
          <Actions>
            <Action name="launchSAPAction" groupAction="" handler="SAPIACLauncher" returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes" launchInNewWindow="yes" launchNewWindowFeatures="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no">
              <Properties>
                <Property name="newWindowFeatures" value="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no"/>
                <Property name="openInNewWindow" value="yes"/>
                <Property name="display_order_priority" value="5"/>
                <Property name="IAC" value="BWWF_WI_DECI"/>
              </Properties>
              <Descriptions default=""/>
            </Action>
          </Actions>
        </ItemType>
    When I created a custom XML for it  (I did it verbatim according to the sample in Darren Hague's book and/or as shown in SAPHelp), and when doing so, I don't event get the decision task options to appear.  All I get is "Forward" and "Cancel Assignment" buttons.

    I had the same problem and it was all the XML.  You need to make sure you register after you create your workflow and custom tasks.  I then copied the generated XML ( uwl.webflow.clientname.xml ) to another file and deleted everything but my custom tasks.  You have to do some modifications to show the decision buttons and have the note be mandatory for rejection or whatever your requirement is.
    I posted this earlier at Re: Dobuts in modifying an UWL XML file.  The XML doesn't show for some reason but if you hit reply on my message at the bottom and quote it, you will see it.  This was a simple version with just one task.
    [You can also download the full version with all tasks here|http://www.2shared.com/file/5688314/467ddbb2/final.html]
    Make sure and set the priority to High after uploading.

  • Not able to view the User Decisions Buttons in UWL

    Hi Experts,
    We have configured the UWL for the WI execution. Now the Problem is I am not able to view the User Decisions Step buttons in UWL instead when I select the User Decision Step it is opening in SAP GUI there I am able to view the SBWP WI decisions screen.
    But I need those buttons in UWL instead logging in SAP. CurrentlyI am able to see "Open Task", "Resubmit", "Forward" & "Assign to Me" buttons but similarly I want to display the User Decisions Buttons as well. Please let me know o how to achieve this requirement.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Srinivas

    Hi Viji,
    I am sorry if it got confused I have copied the standard BO and done the enhancement to the DECISION method as per my requirement and now when I give this task in UWL it does not show up the buttons in Portal instead upon opening the work item it will open a SAP GUI and there it will show up the USER decision details similar to the things in the SBWP transaction. Instead I have seen some cases where it had shown the User Decision buttons in the Portal itself.
    Let me know if you have any idea on this.

  • Decision Step In Work flow

    Hi Workflower's
    Thanks a lot for all your reply!
    I'm having one problem in Decision step when work item is generated and placed under SAP inbox while user select particular work item then decision option "Choose one of the following alternatives" Approve / Reject / Cancel need to be displayed under the same screen in down side but it's going to next screen and showing the Approve / Reject / Cancel.
    I should display these decision in the SBWP screen at downside instead of going through double clik and showing that
    Whether it's possible if please provide me details how to solve.

    Hi,
    Do you mean you want to show in the Reading pane of SBWP rather than double clicking the workitem in SBWP.
    Its not a mail... it will be a work item so you have to execute the work item.. and its a must. thats a difference between work item and a text mail
    Hope this would help you.
    Good luck

  • Container variables in User decision Step in BPM

    Hello,
    I am using User decision Step in BPM.
    When i use only text in "Title for Display" the BPM is activated successfully and Status in SXI_CACHE also shows 0.
    If I use container variables in "Title for Display" the BPM is activated successfully but status in SXI_CACHE shows 99.
    It shows the below error

    Hi Shabari, did you follow the steps for declaration of variables as in [SAP help for user decisions|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/42/c2a19fb4511d65e10000000a1553f6/content.htm]? How did you define your variable?
    Maybe discussion [in this thread|BPM activation Error in SXI_cache; can help, it is unanswered though.
