Defalut Values in BP

When creating Business partner for organization BP when extending sales area data requirment is to default Pricing procedure as "Customer Pricing Procedure" and ''Currency"as a default attribute instead adding maually.

Crystal report parameter defalut values in infoview

Hi All,
I am working on crystal reports, and i have created a local variable in the crystal and set a default value. I aslo deploy it to the BO enterprise . When i open the report from the infoview, the default values which was set in crystal is not available.We can set this at the CMC level, but a developer may not have access to CMC other than Instance manager. Do we have any other option for the same to get the default values in infoview. Appreciate your help at the earliest.

How to set defalut value to DB current date time in EO using sql

I am using below query to set default date time as DB current date
select to_char(sysdate, 'DD-MM-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') from dual
but it is throwing exception
(oracle.jbo.AttributeLoadException) JBO-27021: Failed to load custom data type value at index 7 with java object of type oracle.jbo.domain.Timestamp due to java.sql.SQLException.

In EO of emp -- Hire date column of datatype timestamp :
details tab.. Default value -- expression :
DBTransaction.currentDbTimeIf you would have done this,
On run time when we click createInsert button , by default you will see the date.. After committing the changes, query it in db and will find the inserted record with default value..
Sample data i tested :
SQL Statement which produced this data:

Hide Industry Sector Field after giving it a defalut value

Hi!!
I want to hide industry secor field in material master initial screen . Also as industry sector is a mandatory field i want the system to take a default value all the time without ever displaying it .
Pls tell me the settings .

Hi,
You can do the same by following setting :
Go to MM02-> Defaults ( Menu) -> INdustry Sector--> Select Required Industry sector and then tick the Check box HIde Industry sector on initial screen and then continue.So always this industry sector by default will be selected and also will be stayed hidden.

Defalut value in MessageChoice

Hi OAF gurus
I have to implement a task regarding MessageChoice in the table. The problem is default value. I will explain a little bit.
When there is no record in the database, in the UI it shows the messagchoice with default value 'No Approvers', when we visit that page. and we click on the save button with this default value, it should not save in the database. If any one knows how to handle this one, respond to this asap.

Put a vaildation in the EOImpl (setter or validateEntity method) and check if the value is the default value then dont let the value being set in the EO Attribute, that way this value would be bypassed from being reflected into the DB.

Schedule line category defalut value in Inquiry

Hi All
I need to poulate default value ' Z2 'for schdule line category in Inquiry for specific document types . I am able to populate default value in inqurily . i am using MV45AFZZ. But as per requirement if user manually changed the schedule line category then the changed value should remain and not default value Z2.
If i change the Z2 value to some other ,after that it is immediately coming again Z2. the changed value is not coming in XVBEP.
Is there any way to hold the changes in same exit..

Before passing u r value to the Field. Check if has any value if so do not pass the value.
LOOP AT XVBEP.
    IF XVBEP-ETTYP IS INITIAL.
         XVBEP-ETTYP = 'Z2'.
    ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
Write this in Save_document_prepare.

SRM 4.0- How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC

The radio button Service should not be visible.
Also for search help (e.g. search for internal products) where a search should only be possible for product type 01 (goods). The system should not display the product type and internally always search for goods only.

We needs to use Search help BBPH_PRODUCT which having parameter PRODUCT_TYPE
Here we can set defalut value 01 but it is not correct one since same search help is using several places.
We need to limit the search help results only for SC.
Kindly help out me ASAP.

The easiest way to set defautl values is to edit the batch class.
Goto the characteiristic and go to update values.
In here you probably have something like 0 - 100 as a spec range.
On the next line enter the default value within this range. At the end of the line, click in the box in the column labelled "D". This indicates the defautl value for the characteristic.
If you need to you can do this in the material classification view as well.
Just to be clear, these values will only show up in the batch record. You can not have defautl values in resutls recording screens.

How to set a default value in dropdown list in Wendynpro ABAP? Help!

       I have Webdynpro for ABAP application that shows a DropdownwithKey UI element.
1. I am able to populate the dropdown list. But by default the list is not showing any value. Only when I select a value from the list then it shows it.
So how to set the default value to the first value in the list? Any code sample will be really helpfull.

How to assign a default value to a column ?

In the Object browser is it possible to modifiy a column in order to assign a defalut value to the column ?
I have a table FICHE in which I want to assign a default value 0 to a column which type is NUMBER.

For one reason or the other you can't do that using 'Create Column' or 'Modify Column'. You can only do that by issuing a SQL command : alter table fiche modify column( <column name> default 0)

Copy BOM Component Characteristic value in material PR created by MRP Run

Dear Gurus,
My requirement is I have materials like thread to maintain color characteristic i have create class - color- class type is 023 , now i want user should able to maintain characteristic value in BOM component (thread) of semifinish material. FG , SFG are not having any characteristic.
Now in PR and PO we can maintain characteristic value in Material Data --->Configuration tab , Configuration tab will come only when there is tick in material is configurable at material basic data 2 view of thread and in CU41 I have to maintain material for class type 300 - Variant , then in class assignment i have select class type 300 and 023 both and maintain class , both are having same characteristic please make me correct if i am doing wrong process, if i am not maintaining class assignment 300 in CU41, in manual PO system not allowing to enter characteristic value in configuration tab . so i maintain both class assignment 300 and 023.
Now for manual PR and PO system showing configuration tab and from PO configuration tab characteristic value is coming in MIGO automatically but when i am running MRP for finish material the auto PR generated by system for material thread is not showing configuration tab in Material Data of PR. I have maintain characteristic value in BOM --->Extra--->Batch Classification. Please guide me how to archive this.

Still i am unable to understand the reason for maintaining a characterstic value for a batch through BOM, I hope you are not changing BOM for every purchase order ?
can you explain what you expect by maintaing this one value for batch characterstic?
you can have many other simple option like
1) Create a material with colour included in it ex, Thread_red, Thread _green etc and use them in BOM
2) Use text in BOM to hold this discription for colour
3) Use batch management, class 023 in material master classification , defalut value for colour, purchase order will be created and while doing GR you can change in colur if its different then default you set earlier.

when you manualy create PR you Thread material is consider to be a configurable material and thats why you are able to input configuration value, otherwise as soon as you put this configurable material inside a BOM of normal materila it loost its configuration feature, if you want you can create your parent material also as configurable material, assign same class to it and create configuration profile and take MRP run this time you will get PR with configuration tab as your thread get configuration derived from parent.

F4 help based on the Value in other field

I have a requirement in which there are two fields say field1 and field 2 in an ALV grid (in which new data can be entered). The F4 help of field 2 should be based on the value the user enters on field1.I have checked out the BC_ALV* programs but there are no clear help .
I have tried setting the parameter id of the first field value and then get that parameter id on_f4 event of the second field.But where can i set the parameter id of the first field . on_f4 of first field does not have its value and there is no event after_f4 . There is a parameter e_afterf4 in data change event but to tirgger that there shud be some event right.
Moreover If at all i get the first field value , i can use FM F4_int_table_value_request to show the refined f4 in field 2 . But I am passing the a field symbol table in my grids set table for first display . what can i pass as parameters here to the FM F4_int_table_value_request?

Setting Default Values in PO - Multiple Account Assignment

Hello Experts,
How do we set defalut values for the Field "Partial Invoice" in the Account Assignment Tab(Multiple Acc Assignment) of Purchase Order/Purchase Requisistion.
This field is not available in Personal settings of "PO Item", also there is no "Parameter ID" available for this field.

you will need to extract data from the message coming on your receive location.
You can create two diffferent function which can do your task.
The first one is to get the stream from the message and create a seekable one to be used later on.
