Default Administrator Userid

I am new to Essbase Administrator. After having installed the Essbase Server, I have forgotten the default username with which I can login. I remember the password, so I am able to start the OLAP Server, but not able to connect through Application Manager. I havn't even created any other user with which I can access it. Can anybody tell what's the default username created while installation?

you can go to olap server and enter create user ruchika This will create a new user.

  • Is there a default administrator

Hi can any one tell me if there is a default administrator somehow it seems I have only "standard" users.

    Hi
This has been an occasional and random problem since 10.5 and usually affects the Client OS although I have seen it on the odd server.
Reboot the server and hold down the alt key. Select the RecoveryHD partition. Once booted select Terminal from the Utilities Menu and key "resetpassword". The Reset Password Utility should now launch. Select the root (System Administrator) account and assign a password. Now reboot the server again.
At the login window enter root's name which is root and the password you defined earlier. Access the Users & Groups Preferences Pane, select the local admin account and make it an administrator again.
There are a number of other ways to do this depending on how you initially configured the server but assuming this was an "out-of-the-box" install the above may be the easiest for you?
    HTH?

  • Is there such a thing as a default administrator password?

I've searched these forums & elsewhere but haven't seen anything quite like this. My parents' new iMac was set up by someone else several months ago & I am visiting them for the first time since.
Things generally work OK but they find that occasionally they are prompted for a password to update the keyboard's firmware, for example, but then their administrator's password (which works otherwise for software updates) won't work for these prompts. In poking around their iMac I also discovered that some portions of System Preferences also seem to have a mystery password (unknown to any of us). For example, the security settings & the password settings can't be changed without this mystery password. I'm pretty sure that they didn't do anything or set a firmware password; I'm also pretty sure that the guy who set up their iMac wouldn't have done anything like this. He was pretty careful to leave printed out password & hint instructions for them. This is why I am wondering if there is some "factory default" administrator password or something that we've overlooked.
Does fixing this require using the installation disk to reset the administrator password, or is there something else that I should be doing or looking for?
Thanks so much for any advice you may have!

First Enable the root user account:
To enable the root user account:
Open System Preferences and click Accounts.
If the lock icon is locked, unlock it by clicking it and entering the name and password of an administrator.
Click Login Options, then click Join or Edit.
If you see an Edit button, your computer has at least one connection to a directory server.
    Click Open Directory Utility.
Choose Edit > Enable Root User.
    Next:
change the root user account password:
Choose Edit > Change Root Password.
When prompted, enter the new root password in the Password and Verify fields.
    Click OK.
    Next:
Choose Edit > Disable Root User.
    Close directory Utility.
If it won't allow you to execute the above instructions, then your account may not have
    any administrator privileges.

  • Wiki module default administrator account

We are trying to configure our wiki module (add domains, security, etc.) which requires logging in as an administrator and the default administrator account (Username: system) is not giving us access to the administration options. Has anyone else experienced this or know what to do?
    Thanks in advance!
It looks like it's something we did during installation. We reinstalled, using all defaults, and it now works as it should.

  • Starting default administration console on 5.1?

Sorry for this asinine question, but if I'm running WebLogic server
5.1 on a Unix box, can I access the default administration console
    through
    http://host:port/console
? Our network admin seemed to be having trouble accessing it through
    this command.
    Thanks, Dave A.

    Hi.
The admin console for WLS 5.1 is not a webapp in the admin server - it's
a standalone java swing application. You can run it by running the
startConsole.sh script from the command line. In WLS 6.x and higher the
admin console is a webapp as you expect and the url you use below should
    work.

  • Default Administrator Username & Password for Weblogic Server Admin Console

I created a new domain using the configuration wizard on windows (using config.cmd).
While configuring the domain, I didnt check any of the check boxes for configuring Admin Server, Managed servers, clusters...
Just gave the domain name and location of the domain home and clicked on create domain.
So automatically AdminServer is created and domain was created successfully.
After the domain is created, I started the Admin Server from the same configuration Wizard and clicked on Done.
Now the Admin Server is started successfully. But I dont know the Administrator username and password as I didnt configure it while creating the domain.
So how to login to Admin Console? What will be the default Administrator Username and Password to log into Admin Console?

    Got the answer.
I tried with weblogic/weblogic9 and it worked.
I m able to login to Admin Console. So this should be the default Username and Password.
Please let me know your thoughts.

  • Default Administrative Mode in VTP?

    A simple question.
I read that 2960 switches default to an administrative mode of "dynamic auto", meaning that (if two switches are interconnected) neither switch initiates the trunk negotiation process.
What is the default Administrative Mode for other switches in VTP?

3560 and 3750 are dynamic auto
    Command Reference:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3560/software/release/12.2_50_se/command/reference/cli3.html#wp1948171
The 6500 and 4500 are dynamic desirable
    Command Reference:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/interface/command/reference/ir_s7.html#wp1013606
and good note as well on this reference:
    Cisco Catalyst 6500/6000 Switches
The default mode is dependent on the platform; it should be either dynamic auto for platforms that are intended as wiring closets or dynamic desirable for platforms that are intended as backbone switches. The default for PVLAN ports is that no mode is set.

  • Default Administrator password in BI Administration Tool - Security Manager

    Hello all,
I'm new to OBIEE and have recently been playing around in the BI Administration Tool to create my own repository (.rpd) metadata files from demo DBs. I selected "Manage" -> "Security" to open Security Manager and then set a logging level of 2 on the Administrator user.
UNFORTUNATELY, there is a default password that apparently gets specified that I didn't notice, so when I closed my repository file and tried to re-open it, it is now challenging me for a password that I didn't set, don't know, and have not been able to find in documentation or posted threads anywhere.
Has anyone else ever come across this problem before or know the default password? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

    Guys,
First, let me thank you all for you quick responses and willingness to give me a hand. It's greatly appreciated. And thanks Ally for noticing the name! Glad you liked it. :)
Unfortunately, my problem still exists. None of the following passwords worked for me: <blank>, "Administrator", "administrator", or "ADMINISTRATOR".
Also, I should clarify for the thread that I'm not using Paint.rpd or SH.rpd; I'm creating my own repository from scratch. For those who read this post and have literally 90 seconds to spare, I would ask you to try and recreate this same thing with me and see if it's just me (and if I'm crazy):
    1) Open OBI Administration Tool
    2) DO NOT open an existing repository, create a new one. Name it whatever; mine is the default "Metadata1.rpd"
    3) Don't bother adding any metadata to it, go immediately to "Manage" --> "Security" --> "Users" and open up the Administrator user by double-clicking it.
    4) Notice there is a "Password" and "Confirm Password" value already defined by default! DON'T change it (this is the password in question that I accidentally accepted). Just click the "OK" button without making any changes to that form.
    5) Save, close, and then try to re-open this repository you just created. It should be challenging you for a password now, right? And I bet it will not accept <blank> or any variation of "Administrator".
Believe me, I know better now in the future to not let this happen. But I can't for the life of me figure out this password that was automatically populated and WHY there would be one there in the first place! I was walking through a lab that told me to open this security setting for Administrator to set a logging level, but it did not mention anything about a setting a password. So, I created a repository that I have now magically locked myself out of. :)
Can anyone else please try to recreate this and let me know if it's just me or not? I am using BI Administration Tool version: 10.1.3.3.2.071217.1900.
    Thanks again guys.

  • OIM Attestation Process Default Administrative Groups

It seems that, by default, when a user creates an attestation process that it inherits all the groups that the user is a member of as members of the Administrative Groups for that process. Furthermore, these groups have write and delete privileges.
This is troublesome to me. Every OIM user is a member of the Employees group, therefore every attestation task could be deleted, modified, run, etc, by any user on the system. Surely this is not the intended behavior.
It would make sense if the Process owner group were added to the Administrative Groups, but not every single group that they are a member of!
Does anyone have an idea on how to correct this?

Martin, Thank you for the reply. The OIM product docs have content indicating that OIM supports attestation at entitlement level. So was wondering if there is any straightforward way to achieve and I was missing something. I guess there will be a lot of overhead in maintaining the AD Groups as resource objects in OIM. In certain cases there will be thousands of AD Groups. If you know could you please advise on the impact / care to be taken with this approach.
    Thank you.

  • Default Administrator password for Windows XP PXIE-1062Q Controller

My PXIE controller was installed and setup with LabView (I assume) at NI. The OS is Windows XP,  what is the Administrator password that was set during this process? ie how can I log in to the controller for the first time.
    Thanks
    Ian
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Try this:
    http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/11/25/easily-login-to-windows-xp-with-no-password-administrator-a...
Basically you press ctrl-alt-del twice when you get the login screen. Hopefully the administrator password hasn't actually been set, so you can just press ok or enter.
This is what I found on two used PXI systems that I bought at auction.
Because this is so simple I would strongly recommend setting an admin password as soon as you can.

  • Default Administrative VSOM 7.5 Password

Today we brought up a new 7.5 media server and VSOM server (same box, e-series hardware).
We can log into the VSMC without any issues but cannot log into the VSOM server (same server just different URL) under any credentials.
I've tried the supposed default of root/secur4u but that does not work.  I could wipe out the VM and start over (nothing has been configured yet) but I'd like to avoid the time investment to do so only to find out that I'm in the same situation as now.
    Any recommendations?
EDIT:  Resolved.  The new default credentials for VSOM 7.5 are 'admin/admin'.

yes, tried. on some computers running in Google Chrome, some did not work. Google chrome but for some reason half the menu and sign in English and is not possible to watch videos. Our company has a corporate standard for the use of Internet Explorer, we'd really like to work in it vsom

  • Asking for administration userid and password..i dont remember and i did not set one

asking admin user and password did not set anything..yesterday i bought new i mac..problem comming as i wanrt to upgrade to Mavricks OS X

If you didn't set one, then you will likwly need to set one.
I've heard that you can just click "Continue" or the "next" arrow, but that doesn't always work.
I've set up OS X withotu passwords before, and you only need to go to Users & Groups in System Preferences and click "Change Password"
Leave the "Old Password" blank and add a new one, confirm it, add a "hint" and click "Change Password" again.
Then use that Admin password to install.

  • Default Admin User

We have upgraded to 1.5.0 and are unable to use the original "internal" administrator account to login and create new users, workspaces, etc. Has this account been changed in 1.5.0? What is the default administrator userid and password? When upgrading we only selected the defaults. What is the workspace to use for the default administrator?

    Dear "404334",
Visit URL for htmldb_admin procedure, try to login as admin/admin. If it works, change the password. If not, let us know.
    Scott
P.S. If you like, you can show your name in this forum instead of a numeric ID by clicking on 'Forum Settings' and setting 'Name visible to others' to Yes.

  • Using SAP* userid (SAP default password)

Hello, if i would using the default SAP* userid to logon to SAP GUI , would our IT Group know about this..?
    thnks...

    > would our IT Group know about this..?
Not only that, but the logon program uses a progress indicator to measure how nervous you are when logging on as SAP. This is also the case if SAP was deleted shortly before hand. Additionally, it is intelligent and can maintain it's own patterns of suspect behaviour (e.g. going straight for SE16 and certain Infotypes... or account information...)
In these cases, the system then sends an alert to the moderators of the SDN basis forum with the IP address and names of other user ID's which have been logging on from the same terminal (for example, yours is close to Quezon City... somewhere on the south end of Ayala Avenue..).
We then use the name and the IP address to scan the internet for any other illegal activities from the same source. This is not because we really want to stop them from misusing SAP* for a short while, but rather because we want them to go to jail for a long time.
=> It will be much easier and safer for you to ask for the correct authorizations to do your job properly.
    Kind regards,
    Julius

  • Administrator Password Change

    Hi,
After changing the default Administrator Password in the RPD, I ran the Cryptotools utility for both BI publisher and BI Scheduler to make sure that the BI Presentation services can identify the CredentialStore.
There is another xml file, xmlp-server-config.xml in the OracleBIData\xmlp\xmp\admin\configuration folder, which has a property name "BI_SERVER_SECURITY_ADMIN_PASSWORD with its value being the default password for Administrator. The password here is in clear text, not encrypted. Is this how it's supposed to be?
I do not see anywhere in the Docs. where there's an encryption procedure for this file.
I certainly do not want to have this file with the password in clear text.
    Has anyone encountered this issue?
