Default Background Colour not Black?

I'm having a very irritating problem with the Windows default background colour.
A while ago I had set it to this off-shade of yellow, but now whenever I make a new theme (or even load a saved one) my background colour reverts to this aforementioned yellow instead of whatever I have set it to. Which means my themes can never be saved
and loaded, lest I want to see that awful colour again.
A step-by-step process for those who are having trouble understanding my wording:
make new unsaved theme, bg colour is currently set to yellow. I switch it to black, it works as intended.
Save this theme.
Whenever I load the saved theme, the background colour is yellow, not black, despite all other personalizations saving correctly.
Is there a way to change the default colour so that all themes behave as intended, rather than reverting to my previously selected colour?

Hi,
Can you show us some different screenshots to  know more about this issue?

  • Is there a way to change default background colour?

    Hi,
    I am frequently embedding U3D files into adobe acrobat and every time I need to manually change the "default" background colour from grey to white in the Show Advanced Options tab of the insert 3D dialog box.
    Is there a way to permanently set the default background for all inserted 3D files to white instead of the grey default?
    Thanks!

    No.

  • Background colour not visible

    I've applied a background colour to the body div using
    external CSS so that it will fill the margins around my centred
    main wrapper div. However, the background colour does not seem to
    be applied, whether viewed in Dreamweaver, IE7, Firefox or Safari.
    I've used the same code to put a background colour on the main
    wrapper div and this worked fine. Strangely enough, if I apply the
    same code as an embedded rule then this works fine!
    I've selected web colours only.
    Any ideas why the code doesn't work?

    Remove the 'hash'# symbol before the body.
    #body {
    text-align:center;
    font:small/1.2 Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;

  • Setting a global/default background colour?

    Hi,
    Is there a way in which I can set all objects in my program to have the same background colour with a global command, rather than have to do it for every single object seperately.
    Dave.

    Thats sounds about right, but come to think of it, I
    dont want to set ALL components to the same backround
    colour. I want to keep things like certain buttons
    the same.What do you mean certain buttons ? With a Look and Feel class you can set the colors for ALL the buttons the same , and all the colors for say the text components the same , but if you want some buttons a certain color and other buttons another color I would Make my own button , say ColorButton that extends JButton, and then you pass a Color in the constructer and set se color ... Something like that ??

  • Background colour not matching jpg

    Please help if you can? My website has the background colour
    set as d6d3cd, and I have a JPG placed in the page with the same
    exact colour (it's an object on top of the colour). The problem is
    when I load the page in a browser there is a slight colour shift
    between the HTML colour, and the JPG colour. I can't use
    transparent GIFs 'cause it's a photo. Can anyone tell me how to get
    the colours to match exactly?

    You will never be able to exactly match an HTML color with a
    JPG color due
    to the JPG algorithm and the way it compresses image data.
    Your best bet
    would be to use a small solid color swatch from the JPG
    itself as a tiling
    background image.

  • Default Background colour

    macbook pro mid 2009
    Mountain Lion 10.8.5
    Does anyone know what the default colour is on the background, I dont mean the desktop wall paper, the colur that sits behind it.
    I know the default is blue. but not sure what the feault blue is.
    I changed it in Descktop and screen saver.
    Know it sounds a bit fussy.
    I have gone into the colour picker, and selected web safe colurs, theres a few shades of blue, but has anyone got what the collour code is, for example 0099FF.
    or is there a way to reset the default colour...without reinstalling mountain lion of

  • UAC runs in the background, does not black out screen and prompt user

    This is my layout:
    I have a script in the start-up folder that calls a .exe upon first login after the system comes out of sysprep.  In one account (Account A), when that .exe is called, the screen darkness and admin approval is asked for.  If I
    choose to do my first time login on the other account (Account B) the exe will get called, but I will just get a flashing shield on the task bar which i have to click to get the black out and the prompt for admin approval.
    Why is that happening?  I want the automatic blackout and prompt on
    Account B also. Can anybody suggest some security settings i can check?
    UAC is all the way up on both accounts, FYI.
    Thanks

    Hello, and thank you for replying.
    I have restored it, but i backed it up before I did, once i restored it, I restored it from the back up, that i had done previously. I do not have warrenty under this iPhone which is quite fustrating.
    Sadly this did not solve my problem; the proximity sensor still does not respond to my face during calls.
    I think my only option (last choice) is to restore it completely and start afresh, which is annoying since i'll lose all my game data from Jetpack Joyride .
    Thank you for your response though, it was certainly helpful.

  • Setting a page background colour

    Hi everyone,
    Im new to InDesign, and am (or at least i thought i was), in the final stages of completing a brochure (A4 landscape format) for my photography business.
    The brochure Im creating is intended as both a downloadable pdf and also for viewing on screen.
    My issue is this:
    Ive somehow managed to set it up so that the page background colour is black, which is what I want, as my text alternates between white and a shade of grey.
    However, when I PDF this document, or try to physically print it, the pages show up as white, and so a lot of my white text does not show and the grey text looks almost invisible.
    Can someone please enlighten me as to how I actually achieve what i would like to - i.e. black pages.
    Many, many thanks in advance.
    Stevieboy1970

    Thanks for your reply.
    I figured that would be the way to go. Though I'm getting a glitch when using image gallery widgets where the background colour flashes white when zooming on an image on the final ipad book. The background fade effect when zooming is set by default to start from white I presume. Hope they fix that soon.

  • Default background messages

    Hi,
    I try to figure out how to change the default background of the message windows in Mail. I try to realise grey as the default background colour but I have not figured out any way to do this other that set it for each message individually.
    Thanks in advance for feedback.

    Here is some code that will display all the UIManager properties and the default settings.
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.util.*;
    public class ShowUIManager {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            UIDefaults defaults = UIManager.getDefaults();
            System.out.println("Count Item = " + defaults.size());
            String[ ] colName = {"Key", "Value"};
            String[ ][ ] rowData = new String[ defaults.size() ][ 2 ];

            for(Enumeration e = defaults.keys(); e.hasMoreElements(); i++){
                Object key = e.nextElement();
                rowData[ i ] [ 0 ] = key.toString();
                rowData[ i ] [ 1 ] = ""+defaults.get(key);
                System.out.println(rowData[0]+" ,, "+rowData[i][1]);
    JFrame f = new JFrame("UIDefaults Key-Value sheet");
    JTable t = new JTable(rowData, colName);
    f.setContentPane(new JScrollPane(t));

  • Background Colour Vanished

    Background Colour not Shown of any Web pages & Eg. in google homepage 'Google logo not shown only India written Seen.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == From 1 Months

    Hello Shashank.
    Go into Tools > Options > Content and make sure that "Load images automatically" is checked and that the sites you want images to be shown in are not exceptions (click Exceptions to check).
    In the same scree, click Colors... and make sure "allow pages to load their own colors" is ticked.
    If that doesn't work, you may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

  • [noob question] setting window background colour?

    Hi,
    Am just getting to grips with basics of Xcode, Coacoa and IB, been looking at some easy examples and just set myself my first exercise; to build the C# Introductory Video example app
    OK, basically all I want to do is open the colour picker from a button and set the window background colour. But still with nothing more than an empty window in IB I can't find any obvious means to define it's background colour (not even statically)?
    Hope someone can help with this dead easy question... (my Coacoa programming book is still on it's way from Amazon
    Ceers,
    Rich
    PS. just looking for a nudge in the right direction, please - not a step by step description how to write my sample app, as well meant as that might be. cheers

    +Although I'm guessing from the underlying tone you're already pretty experienced and it's been a long time since you sat down yourself and first started to "look through the documentation"?!?+
    Sorry didn't mean to let the tone bleed through that much.
    But seriously I assumed there was an NSWindow function that did it, checked the documentation, found it, mocked it up in 5 minutes (alright 10 I'm still getting used to IB in Xcode 3), tested it to make sure it worked as expected and then answered your post. Not that you should have been able to do that as quickly but I could do it because I have slogged through the process for other objects I had used.
    Really this is a pretty basic Cocoa kind of operation. I have object X supplied but Cocoa (eg NSWindow, NSTextBox, etc.) and I want to do operation Y. Operation Y is almost always already there for you just waiting to be used. Learning this process of finding these things in the documentation and using them is really crucial to being a proficient Cocoa developer.
    In Xcode 2 Help > Documentation will give you the searchable API and just type in NSWindow. In Xcode 3 selecting an object - like NSWindow - will change the Help > Documentation menu to point to NSWindow directly.
    Cocoa is a very "lived in" API and it has clearly been evolved by people who really used it so it has the buttons and levers right where you want them most of the time. I assumed that NSWindow had a function to change the color simply because it would make sense that it would. And when I checked it did, but my making that assumption and being able to find the function comes from doing the heavy lifting already on other objects.
    I'm just hoping you take this as an example of how to do this and next time dig into the docs and find the function. There is no way to be good at it without doing it and getting good at it gives you access to Cocoa's rich API and will get you very far because you get all that programming other people have done for you for (almost) free.
    Good luck,

    Someone else in the forum told me how to do this.  If you have Onyx on your system then select Parameters, iTunes and turn off high contrast mode.  If you don't have Onyx, I'd suggest getting it.  It is freeware and used to help maintain your system.  Good luck

    Noticed odd behaviour with new Firefox 6 and viewing PDFs inline (using the Adobe plugin): the default text colour is the desktop background instead of black. Firefox and all plugins up to date.

  • Ios7 control and notification center do not take the background colour,it's plan white and black.hi

    hi
    when swiping down the notification and the control center,it doesn't take the background colour as shown in the ios 7 videos, instead it's plain white and black-i am using an iphone 4,anybody else with the same issue on their iphone 4 or higher?

    Hi - I have an iPhone 4 as well.
    The problem is that the iPhone 4 only gets a sample of what is shown in the ios 7 videos. The iPhone 5, 5s and 5c can run those graphics, however the iPhone 4 can not. To get a "demo" of what it looks like, go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Increase Contrast    and turn that toggle off. This will give your phone a slight transparency effect for notif and command center, however it is nowhere near what was shown in the vids.
    Sorry for the inconvenience, hope this clarified everything,

  • The background colour bar below Mozilla Firefox Start Page is black and I can see the print. Only Web is showing in white and images, news, etc. is not visible. What to do

    There is an items bar which allows one to go directly to the news. The bar items are: Web, Images, Videos, Maps, News, Shopping, more.. The background color was either white or gray with blue print. Now the background color is black and I can barely see the items to click on. I downloaded Firefox twice and the problem is the same.
