Default Calendar Group for Communications Express?

When using the soon to be eliminated Calendar Express (cshttpd) interface, it is possible to select a default calendar group. This causes the application to always display a calendar group after logging in rather than the user's individual calendar.
Does anyone know if it is possible to set such a preference in the Communications Express (uwc) interface?

UWC does not provide you this feature.You could raise an enhancement request -RFE .

We have the same problem as Matt.
We have properly set up OCS Email it works well both inside and outside our network.
The only thing that appears not to be working is the email notification capabilities of OCS Calendar.
We have changed sendmail.cf as stated in the documentantion.
we are using -
RedHat Advanced Server 2.1,
sendmail 8.11.6
bind 9.1.3
I would be very gratefull of any information on this, as we're out of ideas...

How to add a default user group for multiple document type's?

I am trying to add same default user group for different document types when MA is created. Is there any way to setup using a single "Document Security Template"? Or I need to create different templates for different document types?

Hi Saloni,
Based on what your specific requirement, it might be easier to do it with scripting.
If you are doing it using Document Security Templates, you would have to create a Document Security Template for each of the 6 MA types and assign the default group. Create another one and leave the Document Type field blank, so it will apply to the other 4 MA types that don't have a default group.

How to report a bug for Communication Express

Hello everyone,
Is there a way to report a bug for Communication Express? I know it's possible to report a bug for Application Server or Portal Server, but I couldn't find how to do it for Communication Express. Is there any other way except submitting a service request?

Informally I can log a bug but if you want to get the bug fixed sometime in the near future then you will still need to log a service request to have the bug escalated.

Calendar Groups for Events

I had in the past created two "categories" in Calendar: one for "Home" and one for "Work" ... I thought I recently created a new one called "School" - there seems to be a drop-down arrow in front of the colored box for "School" that does nothing. I'm unable to use "School". I then tried to edit it or use it or create something new and now there's a new "category" called "Untitled 2" which I CAN use .... how do I get rid of "Calendars" I don't on "On My Mac" and use ones I do want? Also, can I select the color or are the colors pre-assigned? Also, I "subscribed" to "Birthday Calendar" but don't have any idea how to use it, activate it, add to it....

Outlook.exe /cleanreminders switch will clear and regenerate reminders.
Does this problem occurred for just one user?
I suggest the following several methods to check this issue.
Open outlook with command: outlook.exe /cleanviews, this command will restore default views. All custom views you created are lost.
Switch outlook to online mode.
Check in OWA.

Thanks for your replies. The reservation I have around the /cleanreminders switch is that effectively, the notifications are fine (they appear when they should) - but it's the underlying appointment which isn't showing (unless the reminder pops up
and you open the item). Will the reminders be regenerated if the actual appointment doesn't appear? Or will they disappear too?
Only one user gets these notifications, he created the appointments in the shared calendar. The notificiations and the appointments don't show in OWA - I'd expect the same with Outlook in online mode.
The worst thing to happen is lose all trace of these appointments.

How do I add my gmail calendar to the default calendars list for reminders?

When I right click on a time/date in my mac mail message to add it to a calendar, it defaults to my home calendar. As best as I can tell this is determined by the option for setting your default calendar for reminders in the preferences for iCal. In my preferences for iCal I can set my main calendar preference to my gmail calendar, but I can not set the default calendar for reminders to my gmail calendar. My gmail account shows up as grayed out and doesn't show any of my gmail calendars as options. Is it possible to set reminders to my gmail calendar? How? Thanks for any suggestions.

Google Calendars do not sync Reminders (what Google call Tasks) via CalDAV. That is why you cannot set up the default iCal Reminders list to the Google options.

Can I make a calendar group for my iCloud calendars?

I have several calendars in my iCloud account - one of which I use to keep track of my time card information at work and I have to print it out every payday. When I print that calendar I need to de-select all of the other calendars. I wanted to make a "New Calendar Group" to house the rest of them so that I could de-select all of them at once. It seems like the only place I can create a Calendar Group is "On My Mac". Am I doing something wrong?

You can do this using a meta refresh but the problem is you have to add it to the html file for the page very time you publish changes.
A better way is to create a splash page and upload it to the server outside of the folder produced by iWeb. Example HERE.
The meta refresh is added to the head section of the html file...

Shipping point not defaulting loading group for materials

I would like to know how to set up a particular shipping point defaulting to particular loading group for certain group of materials. would this change has to be done manually in the material master or is there any customizing changes that has to be done for this change.

This sounds like standatd Shipping Point Determination.
1. Create a Loading group for your material
> Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination > Define Loading Groups
2 Assign that new Loading Group to your material(s)
> Tcode MM01, MM02
3. Assign combination of Shipping condition, Loading Group, Plant, & the desired Shipping Point
> Logistics Execution > Shipping > Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination > Assign Shipping Points

Default ports groups for iptv and iptv control server

is there a default group for iptv and default ports for different types of communication

I was able to take a look at the system here at work:
Under "Preferences" in the Content Manager, the first category of configurable parameters are for Multicast Addresses.
If you keep the default (Global)it uses 224.2.X.Y, and allows you to set the TTL's to set the multicast diameter.
The Administratively Scoped multicast addresses are 239.255.0.0 - 239.255.255.255. You can also set a TTL.
Global SSM addresses are 232.0.0.0-232.255.255.255
Admin Scoped SSM addresses are 239.232.0.0-239.232.255.255
Near the end of that section, you can choose which address range will be the default, and I believe "Global" (224.2.X.Y) is the "default" default.
The only ports listed are for Multicast Announcement (9874) and RTSP (8554) both are UDP.

Default "Reader" group for new Project Site to include AD group automatically

I'd like to add "Domain Users" to the readers group for all new Project Sites, as well as the "PMO" AD group to the Owners group for each site automatically as the site is created.
Is there a way in Project Server 2013 to do that via config? I'm able to write it programmatically, but don't want to do that if there's an easier way. We simply don't have time to push that code through right now.

I think the only option is to do this programmatically via a custom Project Server event handler. You would probably want it to fire on the Project published events and may the WSS created event.

Hi Le,
You can't have a default group of your own, however you can do that by using formatted search. For example you want a group, Finished Goods as your default. Use following query
Select '104'
Note that 104 is the numeric code of that particular group "Finished Goods" that might be different in your system.
Link this query to items group field through formatted search and set its refresher based on item code, now your default group would be Finished Goods or whatever you want to have.

There are two places you may want to check/change if you want to disable the favicon.ico.
1. Under the UWC directory (/var/opt/SUNWuwc/favicon.ico)
2. Within the webserver configuration:
To disable internal favicon.ico support on the SunONE Web Server 6.0, add the line below to the magnus.conf file for that web server.

Ports required for communication between Web servers and service applications (the default is HTTP)

We're using SharePoint 2010, I'm the system admin for a SharePoint farm. We enabled SharePoint Search by adding a Search Service APplication. One of the crawl report timer job is failing every 5 minte with the error "Cannot connect to remote server".
After digging around, we found that the server running the timer job tries to connect to the SearchAdmin.svc on the index server, over HTTPS / port 32844 However, communication over SSL via a non default port is blocked by our firewall.
According to this article: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262849.aspx the default is HTTP for communication
between web servers. How is it possible that it's trying to connect over SSL?

Communication Express Vacation Message year higher than 2006

I use Java Enterprise System 2005Q4 with the following component is installed:
- Messaging (Mail)
- Calendar
- Instant Messaging
- Communication Express
- .... blah blah blah ... etc.
Had problem in the Vacation Message (on Communication Express web client) where I only can
choose the year from 2000 until 2006 only, I want to add 2007 and above.

Creating iCal groups for iCloud

Is there any way to create a new calendar group for the iCloud? When I create a new group in iCal, it only creates it on my Mac, and I can't see any options of creating a new group in the iCloud calendars. Are "Home" and "Work" the only options for iCloud iCal?

I don't think SPRO---Logistics general -Material master- Tools --- Maintain authorization and authorization profiles is the right path to create new authorization groups.
Can anyone explain how to create new authorization groups for different material types. The purpose is to create a role and assign this auth. group to this role and provide that security role to specific users.
