Default calender stamp in infoview ( webi/deki)

I am facing a problem related to date formats when picked from calender. I have noticed this in almost all ful client reports viewed through infoview. I am using a date object in the prompt, this object is set as mm/dd/yyyy format in the universe. When the user enters a date in the prompt field, it works fine, BUT when the user chooses a date from the calender, it appends time stamp with the date. Even though the report works, but the timestamp then appears on my report cells.
How can the calender's default format be changed?
I checked the prm file and updated and even though its not working

As Soni pointed out, there is really no way to modify the code behind the Java panel since it is a pre-built Java applet that is downloaded and run within InfoView.
There are a few settings that you can change within the applet, but most of them are only cosmetic changes, nothing functionality-wise. You can take a look at the config file for the applet located at "D:\BusinessObjects\Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\webiApplet\AppletConfig\defaultConfig.xml", but again, it would not really let you modify the date format that you are looking for.
I wonder why you are looking to do that - what is the date format in your database? Does it match with the one you intend to use?

On my old machine, the default preset for Save for Web was JPEG High
On the new installation, the default is GIF and you have to manually scroll through the presets every time to apply the JPEG High preset.

Default calender not syncing

I have found recently that my default calender (home) on my ipad and ipod touch is not syncing properly with icloud.
Recent entries appear correctly on iCloud and on the iMac but are missing on the IOS devices.
If I make entries assigning them to work rather than home calender, they sync normally and appear on both iOS devices, iCloud and iMac.
Similarly if I change existing events from home to work, they appear straight away on the IOS devices.
Prior to this month as far as I am aware the devices were syncing normally.
Any suggests as to why this might be?
I have tried the usual things for sync problems mentioned on the Apple website but none of them work.
Apple have so far not been able to identify what is causing this problem.

Make sure the home calendar on the iOS devices is listed under the "iCloud" group and not the "On my iPad" group. In mobile iCal, click on the "Calendars" button to view all calendars and check which group they are listed under. (If there is no "On my iPad" for example, then there are no calendars defined in that group - and that would not be the cause of your problem.)

Default Calender App

Hey guys, after installing microsoft office 2011 iCal keeps asking me to make it my default calender app every single time it turns out and every single time I click default and it just keeps asking me. I tried exporting an .ics and then changing iCal to become my default calender app and it still won't stop asking me . . can anyone help me?

I too have this problem. Doesn't seem to be much help on Google at the moment. I've tried deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.plist but it didn't help.
I can't find any option in Outlook 2011 to deselect it as a default, but perhaps there is somewhere?

Upgrade defaults checking step with no web acces

We are moving over our servers between datacenters along with a Peoplesoft Upgrade, Our present peoplesoft environment is on tools 8.47.11 which cannot be brought up in web on the new x64 servers. Due to not having the web access, what are the other options of doing the upgrade defaults checking step which is part of the upgrade, with just 2-tier and database access.
Please suggest on this.

Changing Date Format in query panel default calender

Hi All,
when I drag the date into the Query Filter Panel in Webi and use the between operator (or any operator) the format of the date shows up as DD/MM/YYYY as default . But we want the format should show up as DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MM:SS
As far as we know, there is no preference setting available in WebI. Could you please guide us how can we change the format?

Are you using a date object or a string object for date.
If you are using a date object then you would have the option of calendar selection when using between where you would be able to see your desired format.
I think if this does not resolve ur issue then either by changing regional settings or by changing the User setting (i.e. if you are using a single signon for ur Database (maybe SAP system) and ur BO WebI reports then the user id settings would directly apply here and you should be able to acheive mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss format.)

Default Time Stamp in PO

Since we upgraded from 11.5.9 to 12.0.6 we are getting a receiving tolerance message that I believe is tied to the time stamp. Say a Need By date is
30-JUN-2010 00:00:00 When the receiving folks perform the receive transaction and say it is 30-JUN-2010 13:07:00 the receipt tolerance message for Days Early or Late pops. They tell me this didn't happen before in 11.5.9. Thoughts of getting around this? In their minds the transaction is on time because it is in the same calendar day. I don't believe it is an acceptable option to put the tolerance at one day late.

Did you create an OSS message for this too? It is good to have these things under close observation.
And which version are you on XI3.1 or BI4.0?
For 3.1, only variables in the filter section (left pane) and are input ready will get generated as prompts in the universe.
You can check this very directly by looking at the generated filters (hidden, mandatory on universe).
For 4.0, When you create a WebI report on the BEx query, the prompts do pop up?
So all ready for input, whether mandatory or optional are visible?
Then you run the query, create your webI report and try to use it and the prompts for the BEx variables are not shown.
If this is the case then you have the problem that the default values are 'saved' on the first execution and cannot be changed later on (because they cannot be purged, WebI just treats the prompt as 'answered' and it will not ask for it again.
Planned to be delivered with patch 2.5 (not available yet) the behavior will be slightly changed, when you purge the data from a WebI document, it will also clear the defaults, thus triggering the prompting again...

where can I set the language that is used in InfoView? Each user has a "Preferences" link in the upper right; however, I would like to either globally set the language for all users or a certain language for certain users...
Do these language-settings also affect WebI?

Modifying Infoview web.xml

i am modifying infiview web.xml but changes are not reflectin.
just to test i changed home page to say aaa.com and restarted server.
it should throw error but it is not...anybody can help me?

i have developed a java web application and i am able to login through enterprise but not through windows Ad . for that i was making some changes in web .xml but nothing was happening so i tried to change the home page so that i can see changes are reflecting.

Deleted default Photoshop CS5 Save for Web settings, but they return after a restart

How do I permanently delete the default Save for Web settings that come with Photoshop CS5? (Default Settings.iros, Background Image.iros, etc)
In CS4 you deleted them once, and they were gone. In CS5, if you delete them, they are recreated when you restart PS. Same goes for any Optimized Settings (GIF 32 Dithered.irs, JPEG Low.irs, etc), they simply can't be permanently removed, and I'm left scrolling through a long menu of things I'll never use.
I have no use for XHTML.iros, GIF 32 Dithered.irs, or any of these settings, just like I have no use for most of the stock presets in PS, why can't I customize these presets like I can customize everything else?

Ok, we have a way to save them, but not delete them, so what if I accidentally Save one I don't want? Or what if I Save one now, but later don't want it anymore. We're supposed to infer Adobe didn't intend us to ever Delete custom settings we Saved ourselves?!
I suppose there's an implication that you'll be given the defaults by Photoshop, but that anything you create yourself can be deleted by yourself. I admit it's not a very clear interface. For what it's worth, my own applications provide an explicit "Delete" capability, have defaults that don't manifest as actual files (and are always at the top of the list), and the app doesn't allow you to even try to delete the application-provided settings (Delete is grayed-out). I thought the whole settings thing through and tried to make sure it was more clear than parts of the Photoshop interface:

Well, from what I can see that thread was written by someone other than an Adobe Employee, and it doesn't mention .iros files at all.
And what it seems to say is that you can reset your preferences to defaults (i.e., invoke auto-generation of a new prefs file) by deleting the old prefs file, which is what's happening for you.

Default Input Control Values in WebI doc on Open

Is there a way to select default Input Control values for a WebI document on Open ? I have a WebI document/report with no prompts in the query (as I don't want to restrict the data available on refresh) with input controls on Year and Month. The report is scheduled to refresh data each night. This is a standard public report that many users open as Read Only through an Opendoc URL hyperlink to the latest instance. I would like to always set the input control values to the current year and month so that the most current data is displayed on the report by default when it is opened as this is what the majority of users will want to see on the report.
I know that prompts can be used for the data filter but we do not want the data refreshed for each user as it is scheduled to refresh nightly and we want them to be able to change the input controls to view other years/months without requiring a refresh as these past months data is not dynamic.

I meant the following:
When you are in the report editing mode at the top right corner of WebI window you can find the "Show/Hide report filter toolbar" button. After activation this feature you'll be able to drag your variables over the pane that appears.
If you are using input controls you can create new input controls based on this variables instead of controls based on Date, Month and Year dimensions and set the "Today", "Current month" or "Current year" as theirs default values.

Missing Default Settings in "Save for Web"

The only settings I get in "Save for Web / Devices" are "Unnamed" and "-----".
Where would these preferences have disappeared to? I don't recall ever seeing the standard options ever since installing the CS3 Master Collection. ImageReady and Photoshop CS3 usually have a few JPG, GIF and PNG options.
Could I download the original settings file somewhere, without reinstalling anything?
