Default Clients in ECC 6.0 IDES

Hi all,
I have installed R/3 4.7 IDES and ECC 6.0 SR1 IDES  in two seperate systems...
For R/3 4.7 i got 800, 801 and 802 clients....so i have confirmed that its IDES ...
But For ECC 6.0, i didnt get and 800 client, only 000, 001 and 066 are installed...How to know whether its IDES or NON - IDES????
After R/3 4.7 versions if we install any IDES systems shall we not get 800 clinets???
Thanks,
Subbu

  • ECC 5.0 IDES installtion problem, SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in profile nor ..

    Hi,
    I am installing ECC 5.0 IDES in Redhat 5 with oracle 10.2.0.4 in i386 system. I am facing problem in Database Load phase. System is waiting long and not showing any progess. In command line, I am getting some lines but not ERROR
    sapparam(1c):No profile used.
    sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in profile nor in commandline
    Real group id set to 502.
    sapparam: sapargv(argc,argv) has not been called.
    502====group sapsys
    I exported SAPSYSTEMNAME=IDS in root (installation account) and SAPSYSTEMNAME is present in both profiles (default, Instance) but still it is not processing and hangs at the same point.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Suggestion on Installation of ECC 6.0 IDES Version

    Hi,
    I am installing ECC 6.0 IDES in windows server 2003 with MSSQL Server 2005 as database. What should be the size I should allocate for the installation directory? Because when I have tried the same previously the files grow more than 10GB and since I don’t have enough space the installation fails. Suggest me on this and also let me know is there any other factors to be considered before installation. I have also planned to install solution manager in same server. which java version shall i use?
    Hard disk: 400GB and memory 3GB
    Kindly suggest in this regards.
    regards,

  • Transfer configs in ECC 6.0 TRAINING MASTER Client to ECC EHP4

    Hi all,
    Good day!
    I would like to seek your expert opinions on my situation below:
    This is my scenario:
    I have an existing ECC 6.0 IDES system and we are planning to build a new ECC EhP4 IDES in a new server.
    ECC 6.0 has the following:
    - Training Master Client (this has all the configurations necessary to conduct trainings)
    EhP4
    - New Traininig Master Client
    Basically, we want to copy all the configs in ECC6.0 Training Master client to the new Training Master Client in EhP4.
    Is there any way to do this?
    Also, we want to copy all the user accounts from ECC6.0 to EhP4. How can we achieve this?
    Would really appreciate your inputs on these,
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Cha cha.

    Hi!
    I am assuming you are referring to the configs.. How about the data (test data, transactional data, etc)? Is there no way to transfer them to the new server?
    How about the user master data? Basically, we just want to copy the users. As for the roles, we are planning to create new ones..
    Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions.
    Regards,
    Cha cha

  • SAP ECC 6.0 IDES connectivity with internal BI server

    Hell All,
    We have a connectivity issue for SAP BI with ECC. we have a sap ECC6.0 EHP3 instance running in the customer landscape used for training requirement. In the ECC 6.0 we do also have SAP BI server in the same instance. Now customer want to use the same BI server which is in the same SAP ECC 6.0 IDES without installing an additional instance just for training purpose. As a part of the acitivty we do need to know whether we can configure the BI to R/3 data extraction for this instance. ECC have 800 client and BI also works in the same 800 client. Can we configure the SAP ECC to BI source system configuration and do the R/3 to BW data extraction scenarios. also want to know whether we can do the Process chains and other stuff for training requirements.

  • Default Clients in R/3 4.7E, ECC5.0 and ECC6.0

    What are the Default Client in R/3 4.7E, ECC5.0 and ECC6.0? ECC stands for what?
    am little bit confused! some r saying three (000,001& 066) n some r saying two (000 & 066).
    Pl correct me.

    > What are the Default Client in R/3 4.7E, ECC5.0 and ECC6.0?
    Check transaction SCC4.
    > ECC stands for what?
    Enterprise Core Components
    > am little bit confused! some r saying three (000,001& 066) n some r saying two (000 & 066).
    Check SCC4. Older installation had two clients (000 and 066), newer installation have a default client (001) already installed.

  • ECC 6.05 IDES - /GRCPI/GRIA_USR_GET_RANGES not found errors

    Dear colleagues,
    We an ECC 6.05 IDES system.  I noticed today there are between 5000-10000 runtime errors occurring daily.  The error is: Function module "/GRCPI/GRIA_USR_GET_RANGES" not found.  The main program is SAPMSSY1.  I suspect someone has been playing around and somehow activated the call to this function module.
    Does anyone know how to disable this?  I attached the runtime error output for reference purposes.
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Rex

    Hi Rex
    Do you have a GRC component in your landscape and someone is trying to connect to the IDES ECC system where the short dumps are occurring?
    Extract of your ST22 dump.....
         Server-Side Connection Information
         System.............. "GRC"
         Client.............. 100
         User................ "ZS001SUP"
         Call Program........."CL_GRAC_AD_AUTH_MGMT_RFC======CP
         Function Module..... "/GRCPI/GRIA_USR_GET_RANGES"
         Call Destination.... "ZJAPNEET_ID5"
    Do you have the plug-in for GRC 10 installed on your ECC IDES. The short dump is someone trying to call the function module from the GRC system. They more likely have a job scheduled which is why it is high number of short dumps
    My issue is occurring on a standalone ECC 6.05 IDES system that is not integrated with any GRC system
    That may be the case but the person configuring GRC may not be aware of that. Possibly the name of the Call destination may be a clue as to the culprit? Find out who is in the GRC system and have a chat with them.

  • Web Dynpro applications not working on ECC 6.0 IDES

    Hi,
    I'm new to Web Dynpro and developed a custom Web Dynpro (including the application) on a ECC 6.0 IDES system. It's simple with a couple of input fields. When I test it (either via SAP GUI 7.1 or 7.2, or Web GUI), it appears on the browser ok but the screen is frozen. I can't enter anything into the fields, etc. I also tested SAP Web Dynpro applications and they act the same way, frozen screen. There aren't any errors displayed or any runtime errors in ST22. Please advise. I searched this forum but didn't see any issue similar to mine. The IDES vendor suggested I post the issue on SDN.
    John

    I guess it has do to with some sort of browser's font size or view settings.
    press ctrl +0  make the zoom 100% and font size medium and try again.

  • SAP ECC 6.0 IDES KERNEL Update

    Dear experts,
    i have installed a SAP ECC 6.0 IDES on a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise 64 bits + MS SQL from the MarketPlace:
    -> http://service.sap.com/swdc
    -> Download
    -> Installations and Upgrades
    -> My Company's Application Components
    -> SAP ERP
    -> SAP ERP 6.0
    -> IDES-Version
    -> Windows Server
    -> Microsoft SQL-Server
    and in order to update my solution into EHP3, i need to update the Kernel witch is in 7.00 version.
    How and Where could i get the kernel update file?
    Is there any difference between SAP Netweaver and SAP ERP Installation?
    Thank you very much for your great help.
    Best regards,
    Pascal.
    PS: i already update the SPAM/SAINT version (number 33) and have a well configured MOPZ for confirmed files.

    Hello Pascal,
    The kernel is at a differnt location. Please go to:
    1. http://service.sap.com/swdc
    2. Download
    3. Support Packages and Patches
    4. Entry by Application Group
    5. Additional Components
    6. SAP Kernel
    Select the corresponding platform.
    You should download 2 kernel files: SAPEXE and SAPEXEDB. One is database independent, one is DB dependent. Unpack them to the kernel directory and the kernel then is upgraded.
    Best Regards,
    Joseph

  • How to find/add more Web Services in ECC 6.0 (IDES)

    Hi,
    i`m completly new to SOA and try to teach myself implmenting processes with Netweaver BPM.
    I already finished the Tutorials  about [Create a process driven Composite Application with CE 7.2|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/a0b4cd62-fb79-2d10-86b2-c683bd5c4d81]
    The tutorial uses the ES Worplace as the WS provider with the HU2 ECC System . I try to adopt the Tutorial to our own ECC 6.0 (IDES) System instead of using the ES Worplace and HU2.
    The problem is, thats in WSADMIN there are too little Webservices in SOAP Applications for XI Proxies (the ones starting with ECC_ ...)
    For Example: I need the Webservice "Create Purchase Request" -

    Hi,
    Enterprise Services are delivered by SAP with Enhancement Packs (Ehp). So number of services you can see depend on your Ehp and activation of business function while installing Ehp.
    You can see ES in transaction SICF (to activate) and you can search services in transaction SE80->Repository Information System ->Enterprise service (search).

  • PI 7.0 default client Implications

    Hi all,
    We have installed my production server PI 7.0 earlier and it is currently operating for some projects. But the problem is the client on which the production system working now is 001 (i.e default client). This we have just noticed that it is operating in client 001, so do we need to change this default client to some other custom client or is it right if we leave it as such.
    What can be its implication?
    Regards,
    Nithiyanandam

    Hi Pratheek,
    S you are right. When we installed the client has been defaultly mapped with 001, But now we are just thinking whether it will have any implications on further activities.
    Because it has been provided in SAP HELP as
    Production preparation client (001)
    The production preparation client is identical to the SAP Reference client, i.e. you cannot use this client in production processing either. The Customizing settings are made in this client. You Customize it into your test environment.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/EN/7e/c8189452c511d182c50000e829fbfe/content.htm
    Also I refered sap notes 1115280 & 940309 which shows the info as
    The integration server is by default installed and configured in client 001. In most cases there is no need to change this and it is not recommended to do so. However, in some rare cases you might have to run your Integration Server client in another client than 001.
    So how could it be valid, so do we need to change tht client from 001 to XXX as indicated or we can leave it as such as we are already runnung few transactions in it.
    Regards,
    Nithiyanandam
