Default colors displayed in Mail

I would like to know how to change this damned pink color of the sidebar of Mail.
Are Others sidebars colors also customizable ?? (iPhoto is light blue, Finder is light green,...) Do you experienced this ??

Pink? It should be light blue (the Finder should also be light blue, not green). No idea how or why you're seeing it pink. Are you using the default color profile or have you changed it?

    that's not possible. you'll have to do it for every message individually.

    that's possible. while editing a signature go to Format menu->show fonts. in the popup click on T with a green rectangle next to it. that's the button for font color. you'll get yet another popup for color. highlight some text in the signature and click on the color you want.

  • Setting a default color for messages in Mail

    I figured out how to change the default font & font size in messages in the Mail application, and how to change the color in my signature, however I cannot figure out how to set the default color for new messages?

    Hi,
    Look at the Mail's preferences, under Composing. Select where you like to save notes and todos.

  • Mail default Color

    How can I change the Default Color in Mail?

    Actually there is a way. Go Preferences-->Fonts & Colours-->Message Font
    When the text box opens to select the font you want to use, you will see a 'T' with a coloured box. Pick the colour that you want and it should work.

  • Displaying specified colors on the pie chart rather than default colors

    Any ideas on how I can display my own colors on the pie charts rather than displaying default colors?

    Hi,
    You can specify your own colours by changing the default CSS styles.
    Go to the Chart Attributes for the pie chart, and in the CSS section select Yes in the "Use Custom CSS" option. You can now edit the CSS for the chart.
    At the bottom of the "Custom CSS, inline" setting, you need to add in two lines for each possible segment of the chart. Something like:
    rect.data1{stroke:#FFFFFF;stroke-width:0.5;fill:green;}
    path.data1{stroke:#FFFFFF;stroke-width:0.5;fill:green;}
    rect.data2{stroke:#FFFFFF;stroke-width:0.5;fill:yellow;}
    path.data2{stroke:#FFFFFF;stroke-width:0.5;fill:yellow;}
    rect.data3{stroke:#FFFFFF;stroke-width:0.5;fill:red;}
    path.data3{stroke:#FFFFFF;stroke-width:0.5;fill:red;}
    This will set the colours of the first three segments to green, yellow and red respectively. Add in more rect.datan and path.datan entries until you have accounted for the maximum number of segments that your chart may contain.

  • Default color is displayed for time, cellular and battery status‏‏

    Hi all.
    I'm using non-default background color for my page. Time, cellular, battery status have default color (system theme). How can I change this color?
    I wrote in Page.xaml:
    <Page

    Foreground="#FF000000"

    But it doesn't work.
    My example:

  • How do I set default colors for XY chart series (lines and legend)

    I am implementing a line chart and need to override the default (caspian style) colors for the line colors and the legend symbols. I'm not displaying the chart symbols themselves as that would make the chart look bad. I've been able to successfully set the default colors for the lines via the CSS below, but cannot find a way to do the same for the series symbols that appear in the chart legend. How do I do this? Thanks.
    .default-color0.chart-series-line {
      -fx-stroke: rgb(0, 102, 255);
    .default-color1.chart-series-line {
      -fx-stroke: rgb(0, 255, 102);
    ...Update:
    Figured it out. Need to do the following:
    .default-color0.chart-line-symbol {
      -fx-background-color: rgb(R, G, B);
    }Edited by: 998038 on May 16, 2013 4:09 PM

    Here is some css to customize the line and legend colors in a line chart.
    /** file: chart.css
        place in same directory as LineChartWithCustomColors.java */
    .default-color0.chart-series-line {
      -fx-stroke: rgb(0, 102, 255);
    .default-color1.chart-series-line {
      -fx-stroke: rgb(0, 255, 102);
    .default-color0.chart-line-symbol {
      -fx-background-color: rgb(0, 102, 255), white;
    .default-color1.chart-line-symbol {

  • Color display profile

    I have noticed that the colors on my Air and IMac differ substanitally.
    My Air (and my wife's Macbook Pro) have a default color profile called "Color LCD"
    My Imac's profile is called "IMac"
    The colors running Color LCD are more red.  This is especially noticeable on the Air.  If I change the profile to sRGB on the Air then the colors more approximate the IMac colors but not exactly.
    My question is whether or not the default settings in different Apple monitors should yield such different results.  I use Aperture on my Imac to edit colors on phots and videos.  I have nowe chenged my Air to sRGB and the colors are closer although the whites on the Air now have a blusih tint.  If I share my photos around to others, will the reddishness that is a problem on my Air also be on most other standard display profile settings?
    Thanks

    For me and my 17" iMac "Adobe RGB (1998)" from the preinstalled profiles has the richest color. Here is a great link to help you calibrate and set new profiles:

  • 10g Graphs - How to customize the default color of a Bar Graph

    Hi,
    I've posted this thread in Reports section, have received no reply yet. Maybe no one has ever tried this before!!
    I am porting a couple of 6i OGD's to 10g graphics.
    Basically I am invoking reports from a form. The reports contains embedded Graph.
    Here comes the tricky part.
    I have a couple of Graphs in 6i that display each bar of a bar graph in different color.
    Example:
    Value       Bar Color
    Critical     Red
    Major       Orange
    Minor       Yellow
    None       GrayQ) I want to know how to set the color of each bar of a bar graph based on the value it takes. i,e If it's critical the bar should be displayed in red. If it's major, the bar should be displayed in orange.
    I added conditional formatting in 10g Graph, and this is the trigger that was created.
    function CT_1FormatTrigger return boolean is
    begin
      -- Automatically Generated from Reports Builder.
      if (:f19 > -1)
      then
        srw.set_foreground_border_color('yellow');
        srw.set_border_pattern('solid');
        srw.set_foreground_fill_color('yellow');
        srw.set_fill_pattern('solid');
      end if;
      -- Automatically Generated from Reports Builder.
      if (:f20 > -1)
      then
        srw.set_foreground_border_color('red');
        srw.set_border_pattern('solid');
        srw.set_foreground_fill_color('red');
        srw.set_fill_pattern('solid');
      end if;
      return (TRUE);
    end;When I try to invoke the above report from the form, I get the error: FRM-41214: Unable to run report.
    If I remove conditional formatting, I am able to invoke the report from the form with the default color in the embedded graph.
    Hopefully someone has ideas on this!
    Thanks

    Why don't you use the build-in charting capability of reports 10g instead? There is FormsGraph.jar implementation for forms but that might not have the flexibility of what 6i graphs has/had and not "officially" supported - not like the reports 10g charting capability (which is built in and can be customized by editing the related xml files (if necessary). Note: FormsGraph.jar has it's own limitations

  • ColorSync Utility: Missing "Make Default" in Displays. Bug or feature?

    Hi there,
    setting up my new MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard, I noticed that I can’t select my Default color management screen anymore in ColorSync Utility. There’s still the “Default” column in the Devices section, and the MBP’s display is marked as default, but for obvious reasons I’d like to have my better screen to be the default ColorSync screen.
    But there’s no way to change this.
    Hence the question – did the button go missing (i.e. a bug), or isn’t it necessary anymore as, perhaps, the new ColorSync CMM finally can fully manage multiple displays connected to one Mac?
    Feedback much appreciated. I’m working on another article about color management with Macs, and this is sort of important information.

    I have just tested this on a different webpage, and PHPSESSID shows up there. This seems to contradict my hypothesis of XSS prevention.

  • Default Color Settings on Macbook Pro Retina

    Hi All,
    I am using a 15" MBP Retina. I plugged it to a projecter and I think it kind of changed my display settings and I don't know what they were. What is the default color setting that comes with this ? Is it Color LCD (In System Preferences -> Display -> Color) ?
    Thanks.

  • The Swatches palette default color names

    Hi,
    I'm using Illustrator CS3 and I have a problem with the default colors in the Swatches palette.
    Basically, every time I brush my cursor over the colors, I get names like C=85 M=10 Y=100 K=10 instead of sunshine, or C=75 M=0 Y=75 K=0 instead of peridot, proper color names that I should see.
    Please help me out to display the right name settings since it will be easier for me to do my work. My Illustrator level is basic as I only took an introductory course, but will get better as I intend to put many hours of practice.
    Thanks in advance.

    PeeWee:
    I am using CS3 and I'm pretty sure the colors in the standard palettes have only been called C=stuff M=stuff Y=stuff K=stuff all along. I don't think they have other names. Adobe decided against sunshine... ;). You could start a new document, change the color swatch names and save that altered file as a template, then use that from now on.
    If you were an advanced user, you could also locate the cmyk and rgb default files and change those.
    To change a swatch name, double click the swatch and change the name in the dialog that comes up, then close the dialog and voila!

    The MimeMessage's setText api states
    "Convenience method that sets the given String as this part's content, with a MIME type of "text/plain".
    I think you should not use setText if your content type is not "text/plain", rather try using MimeMessage's setContent(body, "text/html") api
    where body is a String that has your html message body.
