Default Columns in Process form (Default Column Tab in form designer)

Hi,
'UD_RACF_RV_KEY' this is the default column present in process form default column tab. After Reconciliation for Racf when I try to reapply the matchin rule I got exception like :
Class/Method: tcRCE/insertProcessData encounter some problems: Column 'UD_RACF_RV_KEY' not found
Any idea why this exception?

Report link to Form in another tab.

Basically I have a chart with a link. The link on the chart links to a report and in this report there is another link that links to a form. When you click on the link in the report that leads to the form it brings the form up in a new window. This same form is on another tab of my portal page. I want to know if it's possible for that link to lead to the form under the tab the form is on.
Now after I have said that I hope that isn't too confusing lol...
So let me try to sum it up even further lol... I want to make a link link to another tab on my portal page.

Going to try to clear this up even further.
I have a portal page with three tabs on it. The first tab has a bar chart with technician names that act as a link to a report. The second tab has a form for inserting, updating, and querying open tickets. The third tab just has an advance search feature that displays a report.
When the technician clicks on their name it takes them to a report that only displays their open calls. On this report that comes up there is another link that when clicked on brings up a new window with the form from the second tab on it. What I'm trying to do is make that link from the report use the form from the second tab and not a new window.

Tabbed User Form Fields

Hi,
I modified Tabbed User Form and Assigned it to an ADmin who is under Configurator, with limited capabilities. This admin has to be able to create an organization, so i assigned him Organization Admin capability. However, this assignment also shows up New Directory Junction in the drop down, which i do not need. I tried creating a new capability, but looks like nothing related to org is specified, where i can pick and choose.
Is there any other way i can make this field "New Directory Junction" disappear only for this adminsitrator.

What I understand from what you write here is you're trying to develop a "custom LDAP" form rather than a fields iterator. A good starting point to look at will be to check the /sample/ directory located in your idm instance. There are several sample forms namely "Dynamic Tabbed User Form" and "Dynamic Reosurce Form". The latter has a genereic field iterator logic (if the resource is not among the predefined resources it siply iterates schema fields. You can add your own logic in there. Also there are custom forms. There's one "LDAP User Form". All there forms are in XML format you shoud read them in using the lh config. then save in the repository.

Column not set to default after insert

Hi,
I have a column defaulted to 'No', when I insert into table without providing value for that column thru SQL plus, column valued to 'No'. when insert thru APEX form, column is set to null. Any advise is appreciated.

I have similar problem and question.
I have form with checkbox T/F. Checkbox has mandatory column (VALID) in underlying table with default value 'F'.
Table:
USER (firstname, lastname, valid)
If checkbox is visible on form, some value is inserted into the table.
But checkbox is conditionaly invisible for some users and when they want to insert new record APEX is generating insert statement (Automatic Row Processing (DML)) with all columns of the form and not only with visible columns.
This is generated insert:
insert into user(firstname,lastname,valid) values ('John','Baker',null) and it raises ORA-1400: cannot insert null into VALID because VALID can not be null.
Correct insert statement should be:
insert into user(firstname,lastname) values ('John','Baker') because VALID column is invisible for some users
I think that update statement do this (update only visible columns).

note: BPEL keeps it's own "offline" copy of table and database items. A column that is marked not null in the database can be marked as nullable in this area. (if you kmow that a trigger is going to cater for this ..)
One workaround is to use a trigger to provide value rather than use the column default ..

Sap r/3 rel 4.6c - F-03 Process open Items Column Width standard tab output

Hello All:
I use SAP R/3 Release 4.6C. I am learning how to use the F-03 Clear G/L Account function. On the front page of F-03 you enter the account number and then click process open items.
The output comes on the screen in the "standard" tab. In this tab you may start to clear your items.
My question: How do you change the width of these columns? I know you can change the column width by moving the column margin with the mouse. I want to know how to change the column width permanently - make the column a "fixed" width that will not change unless I change it.
Do you know which variant I need?

Unable to save column as system wide default

Hi All,
I am in 11.1.1.1.6, I am trying to the save a column as system wide default in 11g but my changes are not getting saved or reflected?
This is what I did using the "weblogic" user name and password
1. Pulled a column EmpName in the criteria
2. Added an action link to that column, which points to another dashboard page Page1
3. Saved as system wide default by clicking on save as system wide default for "EmpName"
4. Restarted the presentation services.
Now when again logged in, and selected that column in my request, what I expect to see (when I run the request and go to results) is that navigtion applied on this column which will take me to the dashboard page Page1.
But this is not happening, What is that I am missing? Can anybody please let me know

Thanks Deva for your reply, I don't have access to Oracle support, I'll have to go back to my client saying that this is a bug,
Can you please confirm that this bug which you mentioned is related to not being able to save the column properties as system wide default in obiee 11.1.1.1.6.0 version?
Also what i just found online is that this bug was fixed in 11.1.1.1.6.2? Can you please confirm this?

Modifying default tabbed user form

I want to prevent a particular attribute from showing up in the default tabbed user form. I still want the attribute to exist and I do not want it to be secret, I just don't want to see it show up at all. Any ideas on how to do this? I am using IDM 7.1.

Here is a sample code, which I have used in some of my codings

hi u can use the IT_SORT parameter of the FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY for this purpose.
specify the fields for which u need to sort ur table and the sorting order
( I have jst given da example for one field but this it_sort table can hav more than one fields.)

Performance Appraisal - Tabs versus one long form and column headers

Hello
Does SAP allow the ability to display the appraisal form in various tabs like one tab each for "Competency", one for "Goals", etc. OR does it all have to be on one long form? If it has to be a one form,
- How can we freeze the column headers so that they are always available on the screen as the manager scrolls down on the form?
- Some columns are applicable to only one section of the form. Can we display the column headers per section of the form instead of at the very top?

Yes you are right.
The main page for the MSS BSP is documents_todo.htm. Based on the event given to this html page, the BSP will call other html pages. To get the info which page will be called, double click on the BSP application and goto the navigation tab.
Here you will find the "start page" "navigation request" and "target page".
For the main screen i.e Appraisal edit screen, the html page name is "document.htm". Also further this page calls the page fragments.
Like "document_header.htm" for header data.
and "document_body.htm" for the appraisal body - think in this page u need to do your coding. like bring the tab function and scrolling stuff.

BLOB column's image is not showing up in Forms

Hi All,
I am using Forms 10g. I created a default form (using wizard) for a table that has a BLOB column. Form builder automatically created an image item that corresponds to the BLOB column. The problem is that when I run the, the image item is always blank, and is not showing any image. Although I know that the BLOB column contains valid images, which I can see using PL/SQL developer tool.
The form is compiling without error, and also, there is no runtime error message. So without reporting a compile time/runtime error, the Form is not showing the image. Can anybody help me plz??? this is urgent, any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am simply using the Forms default "EnterQuery" and "ExecuteQuery" buttons. I have not written a single line of code. That is, just using the forms default funcionality.

Tabular Form Default Value

I have a tabular form and in my first column is a select list.
The select list is no longer required, as the column will always have the same value, ie, 5.
I would like to hide this list and instead have a default value for the column.
Have tried several things, but the form is not saving the default value.
Any pointers

You should try the following:
*) Change the column Display As to Display as Test (save state).
*) Set the Default Type to be PL/SQL Expression or Function.
*) Set the Default to your default value (if it’s a string use quotes).

Naveen, though you marked the question as answered, there is another alternative (needs change mgmt involved)-
1.Go to the field where you want the parameter ID to appear.
2.Go to the technical help for the field. In this case the Contractual User Type field.
3.Double click on the Screen data screen number (0112).
4.Click on the Element list tab and look for the screen field (from previous page). It is important that you find the entry with a type of I/0 not Text (US930-USERTYP).
5.When you find the entry click the special attributes tab. There are two columns on the right hand side GET Parameter and Parameter. The GET column needs to be selected for the parameter ID to be active.
6.Note if you change a field it is important to activate the change in addition to saving or the change will not take effect.
7.Probably you would like to make this change in the development system and move transport to other systems.
After this you have to set this parameter in your user master to the required value.

Is it possible to invoke a process from a column link then redirect to a url
I want to invoke a process that has a pl sql block of code which will do some table inserts and then redirect the user to an external url.

How to assign default values to fileds in the org. tab of an oppurtunity

I created a new org data profile and assigned it to a transaction type.
The org. tab consists of
org. unit
sales Org.
Distribution Channel
Sales Office
Sales Group
out of which first four are mandatory.
Now I need to populate "10" in the distribution channel field irrespective of whoever logfs in.
At present a list of sales offices and distribution chaneel popups up for selection by the user.
In my business scenario, I don't want the distribution channel to be taken from there instead it should hold a default value "10".
Pls help me in this.

You can implement BADI 'CRM_ORGMAN_BADI' to populate the distribution channel field by default.You are to code in the method 'CRM_ORGMAN_MERGE' . The code you will have to write for defaulting value will be something like this :
