Default Conversion Language
Each time I open ExportPDF it has a conversion language set to English (US), where I require English (UK).
I came across this post: Setting French as the language by defaut for recognition. and checked my profile on Acrobat.com, where the language is set to English (UK). So, given that the profile settings are correct, what's wrong, and waht can be done to rectify the matter?
Sara,
I tried that already, the only choices I have are as below and selecting any of them always results in 'English (US)' being what appears in the side bar (as in my last post above).
I have also checked my OS language settings as below, it is clear that the whole OS is tied to UK English.
So what do I need to do to make this default to UK English? I have also tried a re-install of Reader XI but it made no difference.

Love Acrobat XI, but when I installed it became the default program to open all my photos. I'd like them to open in theirr native (JPEG, etc. format) How do I disable the PDF default conversion ? Cant' find anything in Preferences that works.
Sounds like a file association issue in Windows. Right click on the files of interest and select Open With>Choose Default Program and select the program you want used (be sure the "always use" box is checked. The Acrobat installation should not have done this change, but this is the process to make the change on each file type.

Default proofing language has no effect.
Hi.
I'm using Word 2010, and when I click the Spelling & Grammar button, it says the dictionary language is set to French (Canada), even though I've set the proofing language as English (Canada) on default. What can I do to make it proof my documents
in Canadian English?
I live in London, Ontario, so I know it can't be my location that keeps changing it.
Any help would appreciated. Thank you.Hi,
You should clear the "Detect language automatically" option, in the Language dialog box (Review tab>Language>Set Proofing Language). This will help to prevent Word from changing the language.
Also, when you set the proofing language, do you see the language is preceded by the
Spelling & Grammar icon? If no, it means the dictionary for that language is not available and you cannot check the spelling and grammar for that language (the default proofing language that you set will not be reflected there in this case):

Defaulting Communication language for BP
Hi All,
Any idea how default communication language for BPs in CRM 5.0. Please let me know.
I have found lot of threads that speak abt a BAdi..but none of them have mentioned the BAdi name. Please let me know the BAdi.
regards,
Sameer AhamadHi Sameer,
This is what you need to do :
1. Look at structure BUSDEFAULT. This has some fields that can be defaulted on the BP. If you want to default one of these fields, then
a)create a new Z module , e.eg : Z_bupa_set_default. In this, create a structure of type BUSDEFAULT, fill it with the fields you want and then pass this strucutre to FM BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET.
b) Register your Z module in event ISDAT. For this, go to txn BUS7, choose event ISDAT, and register this Z module.
Now, whenever you create a BP in transaction BP, your Z module will be called before preparing the screen and the UI will contain the fields that you filled in the busdefault structure.
In case you need to default a field that isn't present in BUSDEFAULT, you need to make a modification and add that field to the standard structure BUSDEFAULT. This is the only way. It will solve your issue, i 've tried this and verified.
Hope this solves your problem.
Cheers,
Rishu. -
So possibly a very simple question, but it's something I've been unable to get my head around.
I'm from the UK, and have managed to set the preferred langauge to 'British English' under system preferences. There I also noticed US English, Canadian, Australian and so on, but also a form of English described only as 'English'.
My question is, what kind of English is this? All the other English forms have some description (British, US, etc) and seem to cover all the main forms, so what's this one? These specific language options are not one I see on my mac (purchased in the USA) although I do remember a prompt asking me if I wanted to delete some languages (which I did) so it is possible they were there at one point. Or, perhaps this is something separate for macs purchased outside the US. When a mac is purchased in the US, the default preferred language is "English" (not US English) as stated in this apple article, under Learn how to>Change your OS X language.

Default keyboard language and MacOS system language
After I set default keyboard language to English it is automatically applied by macOS as a default language for the whole system. Is there a way to set English as a default language only for the keyboard, but at the same time set Ukrainian to be a default system language?
Alex_Pros wrote:
I want keyboard to open with English as a default language
I assume you need to have both US and Ukrainian on the list at system preferences/keyboard/input sources, right?
Try removing Ukrainian from this list, restarting (which should give you US as default), and then adding Ukrainian again.
If that doesn't work, try going to system preferences/language & region and using the plus button to make some language below the line (for which nothing is localized) like Afrikaans the preferred language, with Ukrainian second. This should keep US as the default keyboard and Ukrainian as the OS language. -
FAH Default Conversion Rate Type
Hello all,
IN FAH you can assign the system source 'Default Conversion Rate Type' to the accounting attribute 'conversion rate type'. Great! But what rate type will it pick up, where do you set this default rate type?
thanks
AbeVamsi,
You are right. I tested and I got error 95357 'There is a missing system source value. Please inform your system administrator or support representative that: There are no values for the system source Default Conversion Rate Type used by Oracle Subledger Accounting.'
So that leaves me two choices: a custom source (not recommended for performance reasons) or an additional column in the transaction object which is a bit silly as it will always be populated with the same value. Any suggestions for a better approach are welcome.
thanks

Receipt Default Conversion Rate
Hello,
We create a Receipt Interface Script to create the Transactions Automatic and receive the items from the PO, when we checked the receipt created the conversion rate was coming from the PO Header but now comes from the PO Distributions and our script has not changed, does anyone know what could have happened and how to solve it?
ThanksVamsi,

Set DEFAULT spellcheck language
Running Ubuntu 13.04, firefox can't help but highlight every word red every time I type into a textbox, because the top entry in RIGHTCLICK>>LANGUAGES is "French". The others read, in order, "French (Belgium)", "English (United Kingdom)", "French (Luxembourg)", "English (United States)", "French (Swiss)", "French (France)", "English (South Africa)", "French (Canada)", "Persian", "Persian (Iran)", "English (Australia)". Now I don't deny that I may have gone on a splurge many years ago having discovered new languages' spellcheck. Whatever the case, I want to be rid of all but "English (United States)", "Persian (Iran)", and "French (France)", in that order, with "English (United States)" as the DEFAULT.
Unfortunately, the first option ("French") is the default, which means that every textbox I go to, regardless of what I chose in the previous textbox, the spellcheck language is reset to French. There are no firefox addons that would suggest a change in language, other than perhaps Ubuntu Firefox Modifications, Ubuntu Online Accounts, Unity Desktop Integration, or Unity Websites integration that I can fathom would change the default spellcheck language, nor any such plugins or languages. about:config shows spellchecker.dictionary as a user-set en_US, and EDIT>>PREFERENCES>>CONTENT>>LANGUAGES shows, "in order of preference", en-us, en, fa, and ar; though I don't think the latter is related to my problem, since webpages show in the correct language; it's just the spellcheck. As it turns out, OpenOffice and Firefox both use the same spellcheckers, namely hunspell and myspell, of which I have the following packages:
* myspell-en-{au,gb,za}, which who knows how those got checked in Synaptic,
* myspell-fa and myspell-fr, which I added myself.
* hunspell-en-us
After uninstalling myspell-en-{au,gb,za} in Synaptic, my English spellcheck is only us (presumably from hunspell), as I would like. I didn't uninstall FA or FR because I would like them for both OO and ff. Since I won't need it in ff or OO, I also removed fr_{CH,CA,BE}.{dic,aff} from /usr/share/hunspell.
Finally, it seems that I was mistaken about the spellchecker.dictionary option in about:config, and that this does set the default value, as sites are now showing "en_US" as the default spellchecker upon right click. So philipp was right!
Thank you both for solving my problem! -
Some font options not using default system language in font menus
Font options for Helvetica and Helvetica Neue (e.g. bold, italic, light, etc.) do not use the default system language (English) in the system wide font panel, or in font options within individual applications. Any suggestions as to how to correct this?

Pantone + default conversion value
While using Illustrator CS5, when the Pantone+ Solid Coated palette is loaded, the default conversion icon is set to LAB instead of CMYK, which was the case in the previous version. This is causing quite a bit of color output problems. Is there a way to set the default back to CMYK conversion without having to convert all the swatches used in the job manually?

hi,
After installing B1 on client station, the default log in language is Czech, if there is a way to install BI to have default login language is French, i mean for the first time login, the language is French, thanks.Hi
After the installation this is the normal. But when you change for another one like French (exit and login in SAP B1) it should come with French.
There's no way to change that in the initial installation.
