Default customer type not set by default

hello,
we are having and issue with the "customer type" not being set by default.
When a new customer is created (when they make a purchase) I would like them to be set as “Retail Customer” as their customer type .
I have set the default customer type to be “retail customer” however this is not applied to the customer.
has anyone else struck this problem?  is there a fix for this?

This is as expected/normal behaviour.
If you create a column in a list that already has items it will not automatically set that column to the default option. Instead any pre-existing items will have a blank value until/unless the item is next edited. At that point you can chose a value but
it still will not populate with the default value.
That is deliberate as it may be entirely valid to have blank entries and so overwriting those would be much worse than leaving entries blank.

    After an extended session with chat only to be told that since Adobe Reader was free they could not help me :-(... I figured it out myself.
    I opened a administrator: command prompt window and typed "regedit"  Through extensive searching and stumbled on this key located at... HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2274202122-2588692262-2244265822-1001_Classes\.pdf\OpenWithProgids  The S-1-5-21...1001... is my current logged on user, your value may differ slightly. Typically the builtin disabled administrator account is 1000 and when you install windows and create a user account "John Doe" it will have administrator priveleges and be auto numbered 1001, every user account created therafter will increase by 1 ie...1002, 1003, 1004 etc. even if you remove (delete) an account and re-create it you wont get the same number, the system will use the next number in sequence. The old one will have been trashed never to be used again. Again here is the key...
    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2274202122-2588692262-2244265822-1001_Classes\.pdf\OpenWithProgids I deleted this key under (default) on the right side...

    Personally I selected computer on the left side and the went to file/export then chose a file name [01 29 2014 regbackup.reg] and location. Then I selected "OpenWithProgids" and did the same thing,[pdf.reg] this saves a backup of the entire regestry and the key you are about to delete as a safety net. When you are done all you have to do is go to a pdf file, right click and choose open with...Adobe Reader - the box always use this app should already be checked.
    I did this and it works yet because improper regestry modification can crash your system I am compelled to warn... Use at your own risk. If you are uncomfortable modifying your registry I would suggest consulting with someone qualified and has resources to do offline registry modifications/restorations which makes it VERY important to do the computer export registry backup.

    I think slim does not set the default session (first entry in sessions in /etc/slim.conf):
    My /etc/slim.conf:

    So. When my sessions option is only "openbox" and .xinitrc is started with $1 = "openbox", it should execute tint2. But it doesn't.
    Workaround 1:
    When I set openbox directly in login_cmd, it works and tint2 is executed.

    Workaround 2:
    In slim, when I hit F1 to change the session and the words "openbox" appears at the screen, it does also work fine.
    That means, that slim does not set the default session correctly. Or am I wrong?

    Slim never set the default session, but there always was a comment in the default config suggesting that it would. This was well known and everybody simply set their own default (I'll get back to this in a second). Instead of simply modifying this comment, Arch included a patch to change Slim's behavior, but this led to new unexpected behavior so it was removed (recently).
    You could also have found this in the wiki, which also provides a solution. Another way to fix your .xinitrc is to replace $1 in the case statement by ${1:-openbox}.
    Edit: I just noticed you actually had the DEFAULT_SESSION as used in the wiki example. I think the solution in the wiki is a bit strange, and your .xinitrc (where tint2 should only be started for openbox) is an example where the alternative I suggested is simpler. Yet another way is to use the *) case for the default session (so you would not include openbox as a separate case and just start tint2 and openbox unless the $1 is set to awesome).

    I am using job automation program called enfocus switch and
    Every time it automatically print out  PDF file, i wanted it to be printed out with bleed mark and page information.
    As i go to advanced print setup, i can achieve this by set setting to custom setting that has checked bleed mark and page info.
    Is there any way to set custom setting as default so Evey time enfocus program print out PDF, it is printed out with bleed marks and page info.

    (Pixel Bender 2.1.432154 On Windows 7 64-bit)
    After opening an existing .pbk file and going to 'File>Export Filter for Flash Player...', the default location is [Username]\Documents\Adobe\Pixel Bender in stead of the location of the file you are trying to export. Only when you do 'File>Save Filter As', the default export location is set the same as the location of the file.
    Is this intentional?
    I would prefer the 'Export Filter for Flash Player' to always use the location of the file you are trying to export, not just after you did 'Save Filter As'. It would save me some time .

    Ah, I see, when you open PixelBender first then go to to 'Open Filter' and navigate to where your filter is saved, everything works fine.
    I usually double click the pbk files through Windows Explorer, or open them from the Project Explorer in FlashDevelop (which opens the file as if it was opened through Windows Explorer). So it seems like this happens when you haven't 'visited' the pbk file through the explorer in Pixel Bender (like 'Open Filter' and 'Save Filter As').
    I have the files saved in a project folder ('Z:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Flash\Procedural\Terrain generator\bin\Shaders', Windows 7 is installed on 'Z:\')
    So you should be able to replicate the problem by navigating to a pixel bender kernel file that is saved in a non-default location, with Explorer or equivalent. Then choose 'Export Filter for Flash Player'. Which will then show you 'Z:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Adobe\Pixel Bender' in stead of the location where the pbk file was saved. And even though 'Save FIlter As' makes Pixel Bender Remember the last used location, 'Export Filter for Flash Player' does not. Or at least, not for me.

    I see that you are experiencing issues setting the default printer for users and you are unable to print over the network.
    I would be happy to help you.
    Do you mean individual computers setup with the printer over the network users or one computer with multiple users?
    Do you have Admin Rights on the computer to make changes?
    What is the full name and product number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
    Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. http://www.hp.com/go/tools>Using HP Diagnostic Tools for HP Printers in Windows.
    I would suggest you to check if you have a different user account or from an administration account.
    I would also suggest you to create a new user account and check if you are able to set the printer as default.

    What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)

  • Can "Customer Type" be set automatically with webform submission?

    Is there a way to set the "Customer Type" automatically once a customer submits a webform?
    For example, in a site for a High School I have a webform for parents to sign up and register and another one for students. Once they complete the forms they are all listed as Customers (CRM), but "Customer Type" is blank. I've been looking but haven't been able to find a way for "Customer Type" to be set to "Parent" or "Student" depending on which form they filled out. Is this possible?

    I have a column defaulted to 'No', when I insert into table without providing value for that column thru SQL plus, column valued to 'No'. when insert thru APEX form, column is set to null. Any advise is appreciated.

    I have similar problem and question.
    I have form with checkbox T/F. Checkbox has mandatory column (VALID) in underlying table with default value 'F'.
    Table:
    USER (firstname, lastname, valid)
    If checkbox is visible on form, some value is inserted into the table.
    But checkbox is conditionaly invisible for some users and when they want to insert new record APEX is generating insert statement (Automatic Row Processing (DML)) with all columns of the form and not only with visible columns.
    This is generated insert:
    insert into user(firstname,lastname,valid) values ('John','Baker',null) and it raises ORA-1400: cannot insert null into VALID because VALID can not be null.
    Correct insert statement should be:
    insert into user(firstname,lastname) values ('John','Baker') because VALID column is invisible for some users
    I think that update statement do this (update only visible columns).

  • In Photoshop Elements 13 I keep getting a message that says "default printer is not set"; (but it is)  therefore I can no longer print.  Just started doing this out of the blue.  Was printing just fine to start with. This question is Not Answered.

    This problem happened once before and it was related to adjusting an image size in Photoshop Organizer. I don't use the organizer anymore but this problem has resurfaced!!!

    This has happened on two individual computers both running elements 13 printing to the same printer.
    As mentioned above, the users have taken to printing using windows print and fax viewer.
    I've done a clean install of elements 13 and restarted the print spooler. no joy
    Adobe, we need a solution!!

  • Mime type note set for css with wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file

    We have an apex application over here that has problems with the mime type of a theme (css) file. The css file works correctly in IE but not in FF or Chrome (because IE check the file extension, but FF seems not do not ..).
    This is the call that is failing

    in the FF error console it complains about the file being of application/octet-stream instead of text/css and therefore it will not load it.
    I have created a simple local .htm file with

    Which Browser did you use to upload the css-File?
    I don't know why this happend in your case, but you could try a different browser to upload the file again.

    I have added a Parameter to my Business Configuration and then a Configuration Set under that (activated and deployed both the Configuration and the Set) this has several Value description pairs in it.
    I can add this new Type (Parameter) and use it in my code, however when adding it to my QA I get

    when I did the BonusPlan workshop szenario, I had the same problem.
    On my demo system, it was solved by login on as a user having the "Business Configuration" work-center and just entering this work-center. The system automatically went into a modal state with a messagebox saying "Updating your configuration profile" (or something like that), which took several minutes to finish. This updating seems to be triggered by the activation of the new Busines Configuration Set.
    After that, the drop-downlist in the business GUI of the bonusplan-items were filled with the configured options.

  • Style Inheritance on default custom style

    I've created a custom class that uses some customs styles
    I've defined (i.e. underlineColor). I used the sample code to
    create a default style value with a one time classConstruct method.
    I did notice that the sample code provided by adobe doesn't
    seem to work when you use a style tag to define only some of the
    style parameter, I was able to fix this by checking each style
    parameter in the construct and setting only the ones that where non
    existing.
    But I then hit another wall, this time trying to use style
    inheritance, according to documentation, inherited styles are check
    on the parent first and then checked on the class defined styles,
    but I've noticed that this doesn't seem to work, in fact if I use
    the classConstruct method to define the style default values then
    inherited values are not used.
    I was wondering if anyone knows how to create styles default
    values with inheritance and how the classConstruct method is really
    used.

    No, the closer the tag is to being your actual class, the
    more likely its
    style is to be used.

  • The Default Gateway Is Not Available / Problem

    Hello, I recently purchased this HP Pavileon laptop, and I've been encountering this problem very often (every 2-10 minutes).  This problem is getting extremely frustrating as absolutely nobody has been able to provide a fix for this issue.
    When the laptop is on battery mode (this does not happen when plugged in); I commonly get disconnected from my wi-fi connection and to fix it, I must run the troubleshooter. This temporarily fixes the issue by resetting the wi-fi adapter.
    What I have tried and has not worked:
    * Turn off to save power option in the driver settings (in Device Manager) untickets
    * Updated drivers
    * New power plan
    * Tried different drivers
    * Complete system restore

    Have you installed the latest Windows 8.1 updates?
    Do not install optional video graphics updates.
    I was runnning into a similar problem with my HP product loan Envy Spectre 13 TouchSmart Ultrabook until I did the updates. I had upgraded my wireless router to a model with 802.11AC specification.
    Invoke the Device Manager and ensure that the box next to Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power is unchecked.

  • How to set Blank default font

    I need firefox to read certain barcodes and it was only showing numbers. I'm not sure how but the default fonts was changed to a blank but after that the barcodes started reading! How do I set it like that for future cases?

    I think you have a different interpretation of what it means to  "select" or "mark" a font. You cannot do either of those things in the  text itself by dragging the text tool -- that selects the text that has  been entered. The "selected" font in use will be shown in either the  Character or Control panel (as well as in the dropdown for fonts), and  it is in one of these palces that you select a font to use as the  default. It has nothing to do with selecting text, other than if you  want to change the font applied to a particular bit of text you have  selected.
    Kind of an all-purpose, context-sensitive term.
