Default Device Password

Hello, my son tried to enter an incorrect password 5 times, but when I entered the correct password sixth time nothing happens phone asking me again to enter password and so on and so on. I tried to turn off and turn on but nothing changed everything the same, I tried to enter the wrong password, it still shows that I have 6 times to enter a password. What shall I do. How to to restart program? Please help

Here's my situation:
User1 (AD/Administrator)
UserBob (NOT in AD/Administrator)
User1 Logs into a switch, types "enable" is asked to authenticate again, and can then run all commands (this is what i'm looking for, though i dislike the second login)
UserBob Logs into a switch, types "enable" is asked to authenticate again, but gets error "% Error in Authentication" (i do not want UserBob to even be able to log into the switch to begin with)
So my question is:
How do i keep UserBob from being able to log into the switch?
How do I get User1 to enter level 15 (Switch# instead of Switch>) automatically without being prompted to enter their password a second time after typing "enable"?
As i understand it, "Default Device Admin" is different than "Default Network Access" which i liken to "logging into switches" vs. "authenticating against VPN server or Wireless" respectively. So i should be able to restrict users from logging into switches, but still allow them to authenticate for access to things like VPN, so i don't think what i'm asking above will keep me from being able to do that.
Ideas?

     Configure NAR [network access restriction] and restrict the user to "not-to" access switch.

     You need to configure exec authorization on switch and push "privlege level = 15" to make User1 fall on switch# mode.
The command on switch will be :
     aaa authorization exec default group tacacs local

"enter device password" but I don't have one set?

me and my son were testing the picture password thing and got to attempt 6 at which point I was going to do the correct one and start again. But it has now gone from the picture password and asks "enter device password".
The thing is that I haven't entered one and can't find any details of a default one.
I really think it should not say you have 10 attempts if you have 5 and then the input system changes. I am away on business and need some critical files. Any help would be appreciated

check your sd card if you have one loaded in the phone which you should as they come with one. your pictures should be on there.

Blackberry connect device password

I installed Blackberry connect on a nokia e61i. After enterprise activation everything was working fine till the device locked. I never was requested to set a password for it. Is their a default device connect sets ? Steve

I am trying in Sync my Outlook on my computer to my BB - Tour and it is asking me for a Device Password. What is this? I am just trying to update what I already had in my Blackberry. Please help.

Proper factory reset..
Universal Factory Reset.. any model TC or AE.
Unplug your TC/AE from power or turn off at the power point.
Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on.. all without releasing reset and keep holding in for about 10sec. (this is often difficult without a 2nd person or a 3rd arm).
Release it when the status light flashes rapidly. If it doesn’t flash rapidly you have missed it and try again.
Note..
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations of the router.
No files are deleted on the hard disk in a TC.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
Then when you do the setup.. take control.. make sure you have it plugged by ethernet into your modem/router and make sure it is setup with DHCP and NAT or Off (bridge mode) depending on the modem if it is router or not.
If you keep running into issues, do the setup manually.
Accept whatever it comes out to be..
Then click the edit and go to network and wireless tabs and fix it..

8310 Device Password

Hi
After several mis typed passwords on my blackberry 8310 I now have the message type enter "blackberry" to continue.
After entering "blackberry" you are asked for the device password which is the default blackberry one unless you have changed it
Anyone know this device PW. May be 4444 or 0000 for example

There is no default password. After 5 mistyped passwords it asks you to type blackberry incase you are hitting the keys in your bag by accident. You are then asked to type your password again, this time the characters are actually shown so you can check what you are typing.

Why have a default user password feauture?

If the file is encrypted based one this key, readers can open the file without having to prompt for password though the file is encrypted. I want to know whats the point of this? It provides no security. All it ensures is the reader be sophisticated enough to have a security handler. I don't see the point. Is there any advantage of having such a pdf with default user password?.What was the motivation behind this?

The Standard Security method of PDF supports TWO passwords - the user/open password and the owner/permissions password. In addition, an encrypted PDF can have a set of rights (DRM) associated with it (eg. Don't print, don't copy, etc.)
If you wish to control WHO can open the PDF, then you assign a user/open password. If you wish to allow ANYONE to open the PDF, then you leave it as the default.
Once the PDF is open (regardless of the open password), then the reader is responsible for respecting the DRM settings on the document. However, if you are the owner of the PDF (and there is a permissions password), then you can get back FULL permissions by simply providing the owner password.

Can no longer set non-default device with QT 7

In Quicktime 6, I could choose a specific device to play through. I use this feature to play iTunes through a second soundcard and out to my stereo. I leave my default device set to the system soundcard where I have just headphones hooked up. This way no system beeps or sounds come through the stereo.
Now with Quicktime 7, I can no longer do this. Can anyone suggest a workaround? Why on earth would Apple remove this feature that was working before?

Is there an answer to this dilemma yet? I run an htpc with multiple sound cards, and I definitely need to get this working. I hate to have to go back down to a previous version, if that is possible. Thanks.

- Restore from a backup that was make before you added the Restrictions passcode. If you restore from a backup made with the Restrictions passcode the Restrictions passcode is also restored. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.

There are no any options to let you choose "rename" in Windows 7 if you connect the iphone via USB
I have tried to rename the photo directly in iPhone Explorer but it will make the photo cannot be read in iphone and just got nothing to show on its screen until I rename it into the previos name again then the picture will show properly.

That depends on what you mean. If you mean two iTunes Store accounts, no. Only one Apple ID can be logged into the iTunes Store at a time and if automatic download, iTunes Match or re-downloading of content is used the ID can not be changed for 90 days.

If you previously had been using the same Apple ID for iTunes Store purchases for both of you there is no reason to change what you've been doing. If this is your wife's first iPhone, and you want to share the iTunes Store account just don't use the new Apple ID you created. As long as there are no purchases on it there's nothing to worry about.

installed the above program and when i go to hook my usb to my blackberry it asks me on this program to input the device password.....not sure what its looking for because i don't use a password on my blackberry......has anyone else used this program and what did you put?????

So, in the Rove instructions... what does it say? You should create a password for the application ON the device, I suspect you have not done that?

Asking to enter a device password in the access point but I don't have an access point

I installed the Intel Proseet Wireless Client and upon connection to my Linksys router a wizard comes up asking me to "enter the device password to my access point or external registrar". It displays an 8 digit number in the device password field. My only option at that point is to go "back", "next" or "cancel". If I click "next" it eventually fails to connect to my wireless router. I do not have an access point installed. Only the router and cable modem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If its asking you for the Access Point password when you are trying to connect to your Wireless Network, It means you need to input the Wireless Security Key which you have setup on your Router.
When you are trying to connect to your Wireless Network and it ask you for the 8 digit password, you need to Flip your router upside down and below you will find a 8 digit pin number (0000-0000) it will be in these format. Just input the 8digit pin without (-) and click on Next and it will connect you to your wireless network. Once successfully connected to your Network wirelessly you should be able to go online Wirelessly from your Computer.
