Default display filter

Hello guys. I would like to display files by default by other filter than "by name". I can change the display filter once, but at the restart of Bridge, it displays still by name because it is the "default". How can i change this "default display" ? Thank you

My problem is quite simple but i can't solve it.
In Bridge, the display filter of the pictures/files is by default by name.
I want the files to be displayed by default by type, and not by name.
I tried to change this by changing this parameter in the upper right corner of the window (see below).
But when I close Bridge, and restart it, the display is again on "by name". It's a little boring to reset this at each start of Bridge.

in my test lab, i have deployed a web server.
in default website folder (wwwroot) i have a text file named myfile.txt within which i have written some words, for example the word "computer".
i started capturing traffic via Microsoft network monitor
now via my client's browser, i browse this address http://myserver/myfile.txt & my text file contents are shown within IE.
now i need a display filter in Microsoft network monitor which find this packet for me ( i meani need to find the single http packet which contains the word "computer".
i spent a lot of times but it didn't result.
any help please?

You can use the ContainsBin plugin and there's an example in the library under Search Frame. For example the following looks for the word FONT.
ContainsBin(FrameData, ASCII, "FONT")
Also, just to let you know, we released Message Analyzer (http://blogs.technet.com/MessageAnalyzer), which also has this capability and a lot of other things that might help, such as regex expressions.

MAXL - Display Filter Row truncating filters

Using the Display Filter Row command in MAXL, the filter details are being truncated to a 20 character width column. How can I affect the output to widen this column??? Example output: application database filter area privilege ----------------------------------------------------------------------------+------------------- MyApp MyDb MyFilter @IDESCENDANTS("Acco no_access Hopefully this lines up in your display. There is a MAXL shell command set column_width NN The default is 20. If you need 100 characters, the on the script line before your filter call, set column_width 100; when complete, you can set the width bac to 20 with set column_width default; THis command governs the output from the MAXL scripts.

Setting a Default Page Filter for Large Number of Users?

Hi Everyone,
I'm currently running Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) 10.1.3.3.3 and have a quick question regarding page filters.
I have a report with several page filters. One of the page filters is a multi-select filter of values A, B and C.
I want to configure my report such that all of my users who log into this report, will automatically be defaulted to the results where the page filter is pre-selected to be equaled to "A". Obviously, if the user wants to then choose another option, he/she may do so manually by toggling the page filter after the report initially renders.
The only simple way I know how to configure this is through a manual process of logging into the user's account, selecting Page Filter = 'A' for them, and saving their selections under Page Options. Once saved, there is a checkbox that I can select to make this saved selection the default home page for this report for that particular user.
The problem is that if I have several hundred users, it would be unfeasible for me to go and manually modify each user's account one by one to set the page filter = 'A' for each login.
There has to be an easier way to universally set a page filter on a certain report such that any group of users (that I can define) will see the same initial, default page filter value settings that I choose.
Does anyone know of an easier method to accomplish this?

1. Please put filter value default A then when user login in OBIEE it will display always A data only.
2. Which security method are you implemented means LDAP/External table kindly conform.
If you want see the same page across all users.you have to create table in Database.
Follow below steps.
1. create table in database like below.
col1 col2
groupname Dashboard portal path
2. Create system variable Go--> Manage-->Variables --> select system variable --> New Portal Path option.
3. This variable apply in group level.
I am not sure this what your looking so far.

How can I set bind parameter as Default Display Value in JHeadstart

Can anybody help me for the following:
I am using a super class of ViewObjectImpl where I am definning a bind parameter (Student ID) using login userid:

I want to put the value of p_std_id as Default Display Value for a field.
Can anybody let me know how I can put the value of p_std_id in JHeadstart Application Definition?

How to set the default display date of Calender prompt of SMPortal???

As for as my knowledge, the default date Visible in all Calender prompt will be the
Starting Date in the Specified date range either "RelativeDateRange" or "AbosoluteDateRange".
But we have a requirement to set the default date to a date in the middle of the specified range, I don't find any option to specify in Request Offering Wizard or MP's xml file.
Our scenario is as follows,
 We are trying to customize the CSPP's request offer "Request Virtual Machine", which has a user promt to select Decommission Date for the New VM. We have configured the date prompt as Relative Date range and set the
Start date as "1 day next to user's current time" and Maximum date to "90 days after relative date". So the user will get option to select Decomm date from (1-90) days with the defalut date as 1st day next to his current
time. But our requirement is to set the default available date as 90th date in the above mentioned Relative Date Range.
 I couldn't find any option in Request offering Wizard as attached below,
 Also I couldn't even find any tag to specify the default display date in the MP's XML file as attached below. Is there any other <tag> can be included inside <Details> tag to accomplish this ??
 Is there any other way to accomplish this???

This is probably a link editor parameter, see the linker and loader guide.
Another thing you can do is write your own sbrk() that will log whenever it's called, so you can at least see how many times it's called and with what values. If you really need in-depth instrumentation, write your own heap routines and give them the same names as the CRTL routines. The linker should find yours first and route all memory operations through them. At least, that's the way it worked for me on SunOS 4.1....

New mac user needs help with default display

hi, i am a new mac user and i accidentally changed the default display. I want to change it back to the default display but it doesnt seem like any of the options in "system preferences" - "display" change it back to the default out of the box display. please point me in the right direction. thank you!

im talking about the screen resolution. I went under "system preferences" then clicked on "display" and somehow the mouse clicked on another resolution which stretched everything out. so I went threw all of the difference resolutions and nothing seems to be like the default one. am i missing something? thanks

regarding report, there is a dedicated report forum. you should post there.
but answer for your question is form is nothing to do with the pdf generation. you can call the report from the as usual.
In the report you should set the properties like
destype to 'file'
desname to 'path with file name'
desformat to 'pdf'

Will migration assistant change the default display settings on my new Mac?

Migration Assistant may not be the cause. But you should reset the NVRAM and see it that fixes the issue.
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the third time.
Release the keys.

Default display for iweb photo albums page

I am trying to make a web site using i web with several different photopages. I am using an albums page but the default display for the album covers is landscape. Can anyone tell me how to make them portrait so my pictures on the album cover are not cropped?

this sounds to me ridiculous. This has to be considered as bug, not limitation as I am allowed to put pictures in portrait to my "Pictures"-template site. How can I contact Apple regarding this issue as on their support page they seem to hide the way to contact them in case of troubles... Bad customer care Apple...

Default display brightness almost 90%,
Every time i update firmware, i set this value to 10%.
i think this value is too high, it consume more battery.

Default Display

I am having trouble with my default display going to the video projector when I play it in. I can plug in an additional monitor and don't have this problem, but when i plug in a video projector, my monitor becomes the "show" monitor and the video projector becomes the default monitor. Any suggestions?

With the projector plugged in, go to System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement tab and set the internal display as primary.

Default Display Settings T61

Hi
Does anyone know what the default display settings are for the T61. Some settings were "changed" when the device would not connect to a projector in a hotel. It will now not connect to any external monitor.

Native resolution on 13" MBP is 1280 x 800.
Open System Preferences > Display
There you will find a drop down list with different resolutions. Select 1280 x 800

Default Display Points in Page Templates

Ver 1.6 adds Default Display Points in the Page Templates. As I understand it these would be the default positions for Breadcrumb menus and Sidebars.
How do these work? If you create a region, based on a breadcrumb style menu, you must specify a Display Point. The breadcrumb menu region uses that location rather than the Default Display Point.
How do these work?
And whats a sidebar? it is not a menu type

Since the format had to be repeated over many pages, I just built a custom type of Region that I use with the button positions that I need for which I modified the CSS to include my formatted classes well as the Region for only those button position that I need.
