Default has changed on download to events

MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
OSX 10.8.5
Scanning old photos into iPhoto. Originally, the downloads defaulted as the last event. At one point I could not find my downloaded scanned events, only to find they were now defaulted to the earliest event, moving up from there sequentially.
I assumed the program used the date of the event inherent in the download to place it in Events. What is going on? Can I change the default to either earlier or later in my Events folder?

You seem to know about iPhoto and I was wondering if you could help me with an issue I have encountered since updating to the newest version of Yosemite.
It has to do with Facebook posting. I have my personal page, and a photography page on FB. I can upload through iPhoto, no problem. problem occurs because it is just associated with my personal FB page. In the past, I could upload through FB across multiple pages on FB. Now when I open the upload photo, it opens my iPhoto library with every individual picture file listed. Before it had every even folder as I had named it, making it very easy to locate pictures by the folder name of the events in iPhoto.
I can't seem to get this old option of sorting through and selecting to come back. I have tried locating the files through Finder, but they are listed and categorized by year, month day, then number, NOT by the event title I gave the folders in iPhoto.
Can you help?

How can I generate an Event if an indicator has changed it´s value?

I need do gather some Errormessages of an application (e.g. The application sends "Not Ready" and it´s indicated on the LabVIEW window) because I want to sample them in a History box.
I´ve tried this: First I placed an control (an LED) on the panel and copied the value of the "Not Read" indicator to a property node of the LED.
Then configured the Event structure with the setting "Value has changed" of the LED.
But the Event structure is not triggered only when I set the indicator with mouse..!

Sir i am using datasocket read ,i am communicating with java but my problem is that bcz im using while loop to see if value has changed my labview consumes all the processors time ,sir i want a event like thing so that while loop is not in continuous loop

I want to pass along a couple of tips that will get you more and better response on this list.
1) There is an un-written rule that says more "stars" is better than just one star. Giving a one star rating will probably eliminate that responder from individuals that are willing to anser your question.
2) If someone gives you an answer that meets your needs, reply to that answer and say that it worked.
3) If someone suggests that you look at an example, DO IT! LV comes with a wonderful set of examples that demonstate almost all of the core functionality of LV. Familiarity with all of the LV examples will get you through about 80% of the Certified LabVIEW Developer exam.
4) If you have a question first search the examples for something tha
t may help you. If you can not find an example that is exactly what you want, find one that is close and post a question along the lines of "I want to do something similar to example X, how can I modify it to do Y".
5) Some of the greatest LabVIEW minds offer there services and advice for free on this exchange. If you treat them good, they can get you through almost every challenge that can be encountered in LV.
6) If English is not your native language, post your question in the language you favor. There is probably someone around that can help. "We're big, we're bad, we're international!"

When I change the default folder to save downloads in the options menu, it later reverts to the default folder even though I have made not changes in options. Any ideas? thanks!

In the Options menu I changed the default download location (folder) to a folder I have on my desktop and saved the changes. But this option reverts to the default folder when I turn on my computer and open FF the next day.

I do use CCleaner and just ran it. It did not change the download option folder that I had changed from the default so it appears that this is not cause.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again!

HT4946 My iPod connection to wifi is grayed out. My iPod won't connect. The only thing that has changed is that I downloaded the iTunes software as requested. What do I do now?

I connected my wifi to my iMac and was asked if I wanted to download the most current update. I backed up my iPod and did the download. My iPod was able to connect to the internet at my friend's house, but it hasn't been able to connect since then, and the connection to wifi is grayed out. Nothing has changed with the network; just the updated software.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Download helper add-on no longer works after update of firefox, what has changed?

After I updated Firefox to 18.0.02 the download helper stopped working on 98% of the websites I watch TV programs on. What has changed and will it be returned to its previous condition?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
*Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
Another possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Just updated Mac with Lion Recovery and Mac OSX update, then updated my iPhone 3Gs with V5 software. Here is a screen shot of my notification center.
Have to say all went extremely smoothly along with a few cups of coffee, only thing that happened was after I hooked up to iCloud I needed to get an iPhoto update in order to get photo stream working, which I did and all is fine.
Once again a big thank you to Apple and all the hard working tech people.
Not sure what has happend but are you sure that the upgrade took? Just check your software version in settings > general > about.

Which operating system are you using?
Have you tried Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6 to get either camera raw 8.3 or 8.7.1, which should enable photoshop cs6 to open the canon 5D Mark III files.
(version of camera raw depends on your operating system)
If that doesn't work try one of the following camera raw plugin installers:

Sounds like you accidently got changed to another store....
So, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, and click on your AppleID at the top. Then click on View account, sign in, and then click on Country/Region, and follow the instructions to change your store to South Africa.
That should take care of it!

Calendar sync problem: "the default service for your device's calendar has changed..."

When I go to sync, this window pops up: "The default service for your device's 'Calendar' has changed since the last time you synchronized. Click OK to use your new default service and combine your data, which might duplicate some entries. Click Cancel to stop...."

Yes, I sync with Outlook. From what I understand, your default service should be your e-mail address for both mail & calendar.Spell Check

Computers connecting to internet via time capsule are reporting no internet connectivity. PC is reporting default gateway has changed. How to I correct this?

Am having trouble with maintaining a stable wireless network via the Time Capsule. Am running 1 Mac and 3 PC on a Time Capsule wireless in bridge mode connected to a Verizon wireless router. Verizon wireless is turned off and the Time Capsule seems to be staying connected to the Verizon router. When any of the connected computerss goes to stanby, they often report the internet is no longer available. The PCs say the default gateway has changed ans the Mac simply reports the network parameters have changed. What do I need to do to the Time Capsule to stabilize the wireless network?

It is unlikely that the gateway changes.. but anything is possible.. sorry I am not in the US.. is your service adsl or cable?? What sort of lease time does the public IP have? Some cable companies now rotate then on the hour I noticed.. others on about 3months.. but most it is one day.
Track it yourself.. see what gateway address the TC gets and if it is rotating with the IP.
If your client computers are running Mountain Lion.. the plain fact is, they are not particularly stable.
Wireless is worst.. ethernet tends to be ok.. but for instance Laptops updated to Mountain Lion can be pretty flakey.. with the TC.. and it is the combo that is more the issue. People report improvement with clean install of ML. BUT there is still a bug there that causes the ML to be less than fantastic.
I experience it occasionally even with a dlink wireless router.. after a wake from sleep.. the network will drop out and need to be manually connected back.. I have to admit I expect no better from Mountain Lion. I could load Snow Leopard on it and it would drop once every blue moon.. but I got the laptop with ML so I live with it.. !!

Simply, sharing video via email is not advisable.
Many email services have an attachment limit of 20mb and some a limit of 10mb. As emails are sent through an array of relays, the effective limit is the smallest file size allowed on any of the relays. That means that video is rarely suitable for emailing.
Then there's the whole issue of Codecs and not all machines will have the codecs to play all videos. Plus, folks with slower connections can find it very inconvenient to download large video files.
Finally, sharing video from iPhoto via email is not supported. All that gets you is the Movie thumbnail. If you feel you must share via email then you'll need to export the video first, and attach that. Use the File -> Export command and set the kind to Original.

Other than that your options include:
Upload it to a sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo and email a link - these will allow the recipient to view the material online. That will avoid the codec issues mentions, and the person can still download the video file if they wish.
Upload it to sharing services like Dropbox or YouSendIt and email a link. This will require that they download the material to their machines to view.
