Default HTTP Port

Hi Experts:
The port configured in SICF for http is 8000
where as when i run my codes it takes service port as 8006 instead of 8000
I am using port number as 8000 in my program, earlier I had changed default host and port as 8006 .
I dont remember where i changed default host and port name.
Thanks
Ganesh

Hi Ganesh,
You probably set-up the default port in txn SMICM ( services button ).
( need a re-start of the instance )
Hope this helps,
Erwan

  • Change XML DB default HTTP port number from 8080 to ... ?

    Hi !
I need to change the default port number of XML DB from port 8080 to something else, because the development server also hosts a web service, which is configured to listen on port 8080 for debugging reasons. This WS is provided by our partner and we have no control over the ports it uses.
I'm not a network prof. so I'd like to ask what other port number would make sense for XML DB instead of 8080. Can I choose any port number I like, e.g. 8088?
Besides using DBCA is there any other place I need to configure this new port number?
    TIA,
    Stefan

I've done this on occasion using the OEM attach to the database and click XML Database then configuration, you will see it on the right window pane.

    Hi Laura,
The firewall is disabled (double checked), there is a http username and password (re-set it) set in C1, a full stop and start did not make a difference.

  • NW PI change http port

    Hi,
what are the activities I need to do if we are going to change the default http port of SAP NW PI 7.1  from 50000 to port 80?
since the proxy server only allows port 80 to pass onto them in able for us to call a service from a different domain.

We want the ECC6 integrated ITS default port 8000 changed to http port 80.  The integrated ITS Cat2 transaction is currently working on http port 8000.  I changed the icm/server_port_0(Instance Profile) and the ICM Monitor Active Services(smicm – services) to use port 80.  Cat2 transaction fails http fails after system restart.  I have reverted back to 8000 and all is now working again.  Is there more work that needs to be carried out or is port 80 is supported?

is your application server in domain?
if its in domain and when used sapides.<xxxx>.com if you get DNS not found, may be browser is looking up internet, put your domain in the exception in tools->internet options->connection->lan settings->proxy->advanced
"<i>This server does not support HTTPS! It is therefore potentially unsafe to send your password</i>" i just a warning message and you should still be able to log on.
(if you want to hide this info let me know)
    <i>and i never could logon into R/3 !!</i>
do you also see a message that SSO2 is not configured? if yes follow the steps explained in OSS note no.517860
when you say never could logon what happens,

  • How to change the default servcie port number to be checked for the IPS sig

    Dear
i have an AIP-SSM (IPS) installed in a an ASA firewall.
i have configured an access-list in the firewall to forward the traffic coming from the internet toward the internal server to be checked by the IPS module.
but the case is that the services have to be checked is not the default services port numbers.
    http port is 8081
    oracle port is 2006
    and many other services.
the question now, is how to change the default service number in the IPS in order to be checked by the corresponding service signatures?
    Thanks

You would set those as part of the signature variables.

  • Unable to FInd HTTPS port in SMICM

    Hi,
I'am trying to work on HTTPS .When i check on SMICM->Goto->Services i'am unable to find HTTPS service.
    I did all this steps
    1. From SAPGUI, run rz10
    2. Add the parameter such as "PROT=HTTPS, PORT=443, TIMEOUT=9000" for icm/server_port_3.
You may use smcim->goto->parameters->display to check how many icm/server_port_<xx> already been defined and use next integer.
    3. Save and activate the changes
    4. Shutdown SAP system
    5. go to c:\usr\sap\<sid>\SYS\profile, copy the changes from default.pfl to default.
    6. Start SAP system.
but still i'am unable to find HTTPS service in SMICM.
Please guide me how to create this service.

  • WSDL contains wrong HTTPS port

    Hi All,
I am publishing a WSDL from an ICO (Integrated Configuration) object. The WSDL contains two URLs, one for HTTP and the other for HTTPS. All good so far. Unfortunately the URL for HTTPS refers to port 50001 when it should be using 443. I have used NWA (nwa_ssl) to confirm that the HTTPS port is actually 443.
How can we influence the HTTPS port in the WSDL? Where is this configured, any clues?
    Thanks
    Che
I know the URLs can be influenced when publishing the WSDL, but was wondering if the actual default setting can be influenced so I do not have to change the port when publishing:

    Hello Che,
Check the location documented in 1583506 FQDN missing from generated WSDL URL in PI Directory. You can change the port here.

  • HTTPS port on Human Workflow administration

Hi , I am working on BPM project with many user task. When I deploy the project and after going to administration page of any of deployed Human Workflow ( I can the uri and other parameters relating to human workflow ) , I noted that the "HTTPS Port" I see by default the 7002 value. How I should avoid to have this value ? I don't need any value for HTTPS PORT.
    thanks

The server gets this info from the hwtaskflow.xml file in your UI project. Although I can't say it will work, just set the httpsPort element to 0 and redeploy
       <TaskFlowServer>
          <hostName>localhost</hostName>
          <httpPort>7001</httpPort>
          <httpsPort>0</httpsPort>
       </TaskFlowServer>

  • How can I change HTTP port in J2EE

    Hi.
I installed Sneak Preview 640 and I want to change HTTP port for J2EE. (default port is 50000)
So, I started config tools and move to dispatcher -> service -> http -> port.
    There is port information.
    - Custom value : empty
    - Default value : (Port:80,SocketQueue:200,AcceptingThreadsCount:10,BindAddress:,Type:http)(Port:443,SocketQueue:200,AcceptingThreadsCount:10,BindAddress:,Type:ssl)
My first question is that default port is "80" in above confirguration. Why we use "50000" ?
Second question is that I changed custom value but It doesn't work. How can I change HTTP port ?
    Regards, Arnold.

you can use the "visual administrator" to set your http-port, too:
Dispatcher / Services / HTTP Provider / Ports

  • HTTPS port 9326

I'm trying to get to a site that redirects to a HTTPS port 9326.
    See below:
Here is the page that gets blocked:
    https://its06.its.hawaii.edu:9326/index.jsp
linked from page: UH Manoa Undergraduate Admissions: How to Apply: Freshman Admission
    about 3/4 down the page
When I go to this site I get Timeout and sometimes I get Forbidden error pages.
I tried to create a rule that allows all HTTP traffic to *.hawaii.edu through all ports (1-65535).
I still get blocked. On one BM I don't have any filters set.
How do I open this up?
    Thanks.

Do you get a BMgr error page that says something about tunneling? If
so, check the tunneling section of your proxy.cfg file. (See tip #63
    at the URL below).
If you have filtering enabled on the server, the defaults will block
that port number. You would either have to allow just that port with a
custom filter exception for it (source & dest interface=public, tcp,
stateful, dest port 9326 should do it), or open the defaults up more
    generally.
If you think it is access rules blocking the site, try adding a tcp
    port rule for 9326.
I'd test this with access rules not enforced, filters unloaded, and a
tunneling control disabled in proxy.cfg to see if you can get there are
    all thru BMgr.
If you don't have tunneling control enabled in proxy.cfg or filtering,
then it may not be BMgr blocking this.
