Default image loading icon changed

Hello,
I installed a social app that has hijacked my "image loading" icon.
What I mean is that when I am using ANY app that requires time to download an image, the icon that displays on the screen to indicate that there is a pending image loading has changed and been hijacked by this social app.
I have wiped my ipad to factory defaults and set it up as a new ipad WITHOUT syncing any data. I downloaded an app fresh like dropbox and flickr stacker, and the chat app image remains (Even though the social app has NOT been installed on this fresh wipe) when pending an image download
I'm hoping somone has an idea as how to get rid of this blasted artifact!
TIA!
-A

If I remember well, in the Report Attributes, you should select the linked column. At the link image, there are 2 edit images(the default is the big one), but there is one more image which is smaller.
Hope it helps.

    You can associate files from the Bridge level and the Desktop level.
    In Bridge CS4, go to Preferences > File Type Associations and change it to Photoshop CS4 for the file types you want.
    If you want to open files from the Windows Desktop in CS4, these are the instructions:
    Do this from the Windows Desktop:
    If you want your image file to open in Photoshop and it doesn't, right click on it and choose
    Open with > Choose default program… select Photoshop CS4 or CS6 and checkmark "always use the selected program to open this type of file".

  • Change default image viewer?

    How do you change the default image viewer (preview) to Adobe Photoshop?

    Click on the image and then do Command+I (Get Information). Where it says 'Open with Preview', change it in the drop-down menu to 'Photoshop' and underneath than click on the button 'Change All'. All images of that type will now open in Photoshop.

  • Firefox icon changes to default Windows icon after a few days

    Downloaded Firefox browser on new HP Pavilion dv6. After a couple of days, Firefox icon changes to default Windows program icon. Uninstalled Firefox and re-installed. After a few days, the icon changed back to default Windows program icon. I cannot manually change icon back under Properties setting as default program icon is now associated with Firefox program. Laptop is 64-bit, and program is installed under Windows x86 folder.
    Is this a Microsoft setting issue? Or do I need a different download for 64-bit?

    Take a look at BlueHarvest instead. Although not free ($13.95). it has options that allow you to keep custom icon files while deleting the others.

  • Default images zoom in Mountain Lion Preview - how to change

    Hi,
    I need to preview alot of images in my work. In previous system I would use Preview with zoom images to 100%. Now this option is gone in preferences. Since the images I preview are ewbsites designs, any other zoom then 100% is useless to me.
    I know that I can open an image, push Cmd+0, click on the green + dot, and then scroll up (because after zooming to 100% the image is centered on the screen). But I open images about 100 times a day - so to me that situation is Usability disaster.
    So my question is: is there a way I can set Preview default image viewing settings to:
    - pixel to pixel zoom (100%)
    - aligned to top
    - opened in window of maximum size on the screen
    I will go to church, kneel and pray for you, stranger sage...
    Cheers

    Dear wjosten,
    1) I have the same problem as Dergler: I can not set the availability status in Messages (ML, v7.0). The settings and also support documents tell that one should be able to set the status in the Menue bar, without mentioning that an active iCloud account in not sufficient.
    2) Also, the Access to "Edit status menue" (and default status messages) is only possible when the activity report tool is displayed in the lower-left corner of the Messages window. With ONLY an iCloud account active this tool is not displayed.
    You correctly tell that the activity report tool and also access to availability settings is possible when the Bonjour account is set to "Enable Bonjour instant messaging".
    HOWEVER:
    I do not want to become visible in my university network, I only want to use Messages (and iMessages on iOS) to communicate with other people that have iPads or iPhones. Are the availability settings not used over iCloud? Why then the setting "Use the same setting for all accounts"?
    Is this intended, or is it a bug??

  • ImageIcon & Lazy image loading

    The whole day I'm fuzzing around with loading an ImageIcon lazily. I suppose you know what lazy means. I want to load my icons when they have to be painted on the screen, because I use thousands of them. I read the "How to Use Icons" tutorial (http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/misc/icon.html). With its ArrowIcon implementation of Icon (http://www.iam.ubc.ca/guides/javatut99/uiswing/misc/example-swing/ArrowIcon.java) and its IconDemoApplet (http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/misc/example-1dot4/IconDemoApplet.java). However, I'm still confused. I also took a look at the ImageIconProxy example of the proxy pattern (http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-02-2002/jw-0222-designpatterns.html). Finally I got the following code (the IconProperties part can be ignored). I'm afraid that this does not what I want. I have now only a few images, so I can't measure it directly. Does my class exactly the same as the ImageIcon class itself? Is there no postponing of instantiation because I subclass ImageIcon? Do I have to implement the interface Icon instead? Do I have to copy all the stuff in ImageIcon to my implementation in that case? Or is it better to extend the Image class to provide functions like described beneath (check upon existence).
    And for completeness. I extend this LazyIcon object subsequently with a class named LayeredIcon to create combined icons.
    * The class <code>LazyIcon</code> implements <code>ImageIcon</code>
    * because their will be at least some calls like:
    * <pre>
    *   Icon icon = new ImageIcon(imageURL);
    *     Image image = icon.getImage();
    *     image = image.getScaledInstance(...);
    *   Icon icon2 = new ImageIcon(image);
    * </pre>
    * Besides that I want to add a function <code>IconExists</code> and
    * to add lazy image loading, and maybe also background loading.
    * This doesn't work, so it seems like in the constructor of
    * ImageIcon there is done more than only setImage(image).
    * @author A.C. van Rossum
    public class LazyIcon  extends ImageIcon {
      boolean isIconCreated = false;
      protected Image image;
      protected IconProperties properties;
       * The <code>LazyIcon</code> stores the <code>Image</code> until
       * the moment it has to be created. It has default icon properties.
      public LazyIcon(Image image) {
        this(image, IconProperties.DEFAULTICON);
      public LazyIcon(Image image, IconProperties properties) {
        this.image = image;
        setIconProperties(properties);
      //other constructors have to follow
       * The method <code>setIconProperties</code> enables the user
       * to change the properties of an icon, before calling the
       * method <code>paintIcon</code>.
       * @param properties A set of properties: dimension, etc.
      public void setIconProperties(IconProperties properties) {
        this.properties = properties;
      public int getIconHeight() {
        return isIconCreated ? super.getIconHeight() : properties.getHeight();
      public int getIconWidth() {
         return isIconCreated ? super.getIconWidth() : properties.getWidth();
       * The method <code>paintIcon</code> does only set the image of
       * the ImageIcon class lazily (when this function is called.)
      public void paintIcon(final Component c, Graphics g, int x, int y) {
        if(!isIconCreated) {
          setImage(image);
          isIconCreated = true;
        super.paintIcon(c, g, x, y);
      public Image getImage() {
        if (isIconCreated)
          return super.getImage();
        else return image;
    }Is my problem formulation clear enough? Many thanks in advance if you want to give it a look.
    Andy

    I spent some more time looking at the programs today, and it seems that all of the students involved were using a graphics library called objectdraw (http://cortland.cs.williams.edu:16080/~cs134/eof/). As far as I can tell, the objectdraw source code isn't public, so I can't say which (if any) of the standard methods they were using.
    After some work, I managed to produce a method with the same parameters as the objectdraw getImage method that used the AWT Toolkit. When I overrode the objectdraw version in the students' code, the bug (at least for the moment) seems to have gone away. So the problem may be in that other library.
    Does anyone else have experience with objectdraw? Is this a known bug, or could this be something else...?

  • Storing images and icons in a JAR file

    Hi,
    I current have a JAR file to store our application icons in the GIF format. The application also uses several images which I would prefer to be stored in the JAR file as JPG files.
    Is it possible to store both GIFs and JPGs in a JAR and access them from Forms?
    For Example:
    I am using code like:
    read_image_file('mess_bold.jpg','URL','IM_BOLD');
    and I have this image file in the JAR but I get the error...
    Unable to load image mess_bold.jpg for Image Item
    Also the Apache log shows...
    File does not exist: c:/oracle/frhome_1/forms/java/icons/mess_bold.jpg.gif
    Is this a config problem? I noticed that the read_image_file call looks in the icons directory which I specify in my Registry.dat file. Do the settings for default.icons.iconpath and default.icons.iconextension apply to images as well?
    Thank you in anticipation.
    Regards,
    Tom Casserly

    Hi,
    I already had the entry imageBase=codebase in my formsweb.cfg
    According to this article it is possible to read images from the JAR using the 'URL' parameter see
    https://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:2109110130595761322::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help,p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,137397.1,1,1,1,helvetica
    I have managed to get the images loading from the JAR but only if I have them in the same directory and format (ie gif) as the icons. As I suggested above I think that read_image_file must be accessing the default.icons.iconpath=icons/ default.icons.iconextension=gif from my Registry.dat file.
    There is also a slight problem that you cannot seem to use read_image_file in the WNFI or PF trigger as suggested here: Re: Read images from a jar file?
    Has anyone managed to access images from a JAR in JPEG format alongside GIF icons?
    Thanks for you help.
