Default  login password on Storedge 2540 doesn't reply

Dear my colleagues;
I have a new ST 2540 Storedge but I couldn't log in with its default password writing on its documents (kra16wen). Is there another password or should I reset it and how? Can anyone help me about the issue?
Thanks.

Figured out that it was a Displayport driver issue.  I ran the Dsiplayport uninstall program, only hickup was at the end it gave me an error trying to restart automatically.  Just quit the app and restarted manually and all is well now.

  • New Client: What is default login + password?

I have created a new client (800) with transaction SCC4. What login can I use to access this new client?
I've tried sap* with a variety of passwords including "pass", "PASS", "Pass", and several other system specific passwords that we've been using. None of them work. How can I find what login to use to setup the new client entry?

    Hello Geisen,
Please check in your profile files if the value of login/no_automatic_user_sapstar is set to 1. If it is 1 login through SAP* isnot possible. Change it to 0 and then try with PASS.
This is ofcourse true if you created the new client not using SAP* but some other user like DDIC. If you SAP* then this parameter is already having value 0 and in that case you can ignore my comments.
    Regards.

You can specify Mixed (SQL Authentication) and then  you would need  to provide a password for SA.
Can you post entire message  you are getting from?

when login screen appears my keybord doesn't work so i can't type my username and password on my macbook

I had my meeting with the Genius bar tech support. He reviewed all of the Apple Care history I have accumultaed over the last 4 weeks.  He looked at my system and couldnt find any software issues.  That led him to speculate it may be a hardware issue. After explaining that I spent over $5000 for my complete set up, I would not be happy with a repair on a brand new unit.  He spoke to store manager and they agreed to replace the defective MBP.
I have completed my migration using Set Up Assistant and ethernet connection from old MBP to new MBP and it went smoothly.  I migrated 324Gb in under 4 hours! Over night I created a complete backup using Time Capsule; again with an ethernet connection, and it took under 7 hours.
    Everything is operating as normal.
Hopefully, this issue is behind me.

  • Trouble with login password in Keychain Access

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, my "Login Password" seems to have changed. Not my account password, thankfully, but the Keychain Access Login Password that enables me to access my Login Keychain. I certainly did not change it, but the password I used in 10.5.8 doesn't work anymore. This has actually happened on two different machines
I tried the 'First Aid' function in Keychain Access and got this error message:
    Checked password for ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain
*Password for ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain is not the same as login password*, so keychain can't be unlocked automatically
Login password could not be synchronized with keychain ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain (-128)
Unable to read settings for ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain
Okay, so how can the Password for the Login Keychain be different from the, uh, Login Password?!?!
Is there any way to reset a Login Password, or do I just have to start a new one from scratch (really don't want to have to do that)?

the password for any keychain can be set to anything you want. by default the password for you login keychain is set to be the same as you account password but that's done just for your convenience so that it can be unlocked automatically when you log in. those passwords are completely independent otherwise. changing one has no effect on the other. that said, unless you changed the account password or the keychain password yourself what you are seeing should not be happening.
did you change your account password? if not your keychain could be corrupt.
in Keychain Access is your login keychain locked? if it is select it and click on the lock above. if the keychain works ok it should ask you for the keychain password to unlock it. does it work?

  • I forgot my keychain login password

I don't remember my keychain password (the one you use to unlock the keychain and stuff). I've tried a bunch of different passwords that I use...like my admin. password but it doesn't work...how can I reset it or recover it? thanks

    > I was interested to note your comment about being unable to reset the login keychain password after resetting the admin password on a computer with the install disk.
Resetting your login password with the install disc does not reset the login keychain password. When creating a login account and password, the password for the account's login keychain is the same as the login account password. If you want the login keychain password to be different, you must change it via Keychain Access. Changing the login account's password via an install disc does not change the login keychain password for the login account. I believe this is for security reasons. Although a thief can gain access to a person's login account and home folder/directory by using an install disc to manually change the login password for the account, this does not change the login keychain password also so sensitive data stored in a person's keychain cannot be accessed without knowing the original login account password that matches the original login keychain password.
    1. If you require password to wake this computer from sleep or screen saver, someone can't. To have your keychain extra secure, you can also make your login keychain password different from your login password but if your login password is not the same as your default keychain password, you'll be asked for the password whenever an application needs access to your keychain and your keychain is locked - but this would be more trouble than it is worth IMO.
    2. Same as the answer to 1.
    3. Someone can't if you disable automatic login for your login account which is highly recommended. Even though I currently live alone, I have automatic login disabled for my login account. If someone steals my PB and has access to an install disc to manually change the password for my login account, they can gain access to all my data in my home folder/directory but not gain access to sensitive data stored in my login keychain which is not automatically changed when manually changing the login password with an install disc.
This is also where utilizing an encrypted disk image comes into play to store sensitive data but to be extra secure, you should not store the password for an encrypted disk image in your keychain. My encrypted disk images require that I manually enter the password to mount the encrypted disk images but the downside when doing so is if you forget the password for the encrypted disk image, all data stored within the disk will be lost with no way to recover it.
Overall it is probably best to store the password for an encrypted disk image in your keychain but if you give someone else access to your Mac when logged in to your account, any encrypted disk image will mount automatically when selected which is also why it is best not to allow anyone else to access your Mac via your login account.

  • OSX 10.5 Does not Recognize Login Password-  Please Help!! This is insane!!

Ok, so this problem is incredibly annoying and has got me perplexed. I recently re-installed Mac OSX 10.5 for various reasons.I am running a Macbook Pro that is 2 years old apprx. I did the following steps:
    1. Booted from Install DVD (authentic)
    2. Erased/zeroed out HDD
    3. Installed OSX 10.5 on the Drive. And OSX is the only OS on the computer.
    4. I went through the set up, and created a login name and password. The password is long, like around 30 characters. This is the same password I had used before, on the same OSX 10.5 from the same disk with absolutely no problem.
    5. I slowly typed each character, having wrote each character down and did it for both pass and verification boxes on the initial screen when you boot for the first time and set up the user account.
    6. This was all accepted, and I finished the process.
Now here is the rub, the password does not work! It logs in to my user name automatically using, I assume, the password I gave. But when I go to install my programs again, and it asks for the system password, it tells me the password is incorrect. I type it out completely and correctly off the piece of paper, and it says it is not correct. I have now retyped it 15 times, so there is no chance of it being a typing error (and same thing after re-re-install). ***!! I just put it in, what other passwords could it be!! I even erased the entire HDD clean a second time, and re-re-installed the OS and repeated the above. Still the same problem.
Can someone give me any idea what might cause this? I have tried everything I can think of, and cannot think of any cause.
    Thanks everyone,
    DpDimick

Thanks again V.K. I did check the layout, and it was listed as alphabet when I inputted the password. So that doesn't seems to the the issue.
Just finished a truly mystifying experiment, but I put in a shorter password in the way mentioned earlier and it worked. I then systematically kept increasing the characters of that password and it seems that if the password starts to exceed about 16, it stops recognizing it. I am fairly sure it is not the password itself since it never gives an error when typing in the verification password. So unless I systematically make the exact mistake twice at the setup screen, and then don't or make a different mistake every time at the login screen, I don't think its my typing skill.
So problem solved for now, but I am still a bit worried. Maybe I should completely reinstall and use a shorter password.
Is there supposed to be a length limit?

    Hi
I have Mountain Line with Safari 6.0.2. I used to open Facebook, Youtube, Twitter etc. and everytime I select "Stay signed in" "Remember my password" etc. but it doesn't save my passwords and everytime I have to sign in again. I never sign out from these websites but when I open it next time, it requires username & password.
Does anybody know the problem & solution, plz help. I also found disk erros and reaoired permissiomn and the restarted and did disk utlty again and repaired the same disk errors and then did a restart and still does not remember passwords or ask me. Did all this still no luck it saved apple login on here and saved gmail account but others one it used to save does no longer.here is what i did below and still no luck.
    Instructions
    Set Your Passwords Preferences
    1
Open up your Safari Web browser and choose 'Preferences' from the Safari pull down menu
    2
    Click on the heading 'AutoFill.'
Click on the box next to 'User Names and Passwords.'
    4
    Close the 'Preferences' window.
    Save Your Passwords
    5
Go to a Web page that requires a password and enter in your chosen password. Safari will then ask if you would like to save this password.
    6
Click on the button 'Yes' in order to save the password.
    7
Complete steps 1 and 2 for any other passwords that you want Safari to remember.
    Manage Your Passwords
    8
Go to the 'AutoFill' section in the Safari Preferences window.
    9
Click on the 'Edit' button to the right of where it says 'User Names and Passwords.' This will bring up a window displaying all of the passwords and usernames that you have authorized Safari to save.
    10
Click on a password listing and push the 'Remove' button in order to delete the password from Safari's memory.
    11
Choose 'Remove All' in order to delete all of the saved passwords.
    12

I suggest that you run software update, after which you should have Safari 6.0.5 - then check Safari - Preferences - Privacy & see that 'Block cookies' is not set to Always.
Failing that - switch Safari extensions Off via Safari - Preferences - Extensions & test again

  • When trying to reset my login / password, text in red says not connected to internet please verify connection, when the macbook air IS connected to wifi.

    cannot reset forgotten login password.

You don't need to be connected to the Internet to reset the password.
Note: If you've activated FileVault, this procedure doesn't apply. Follow instead these instructions.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities window appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar at the top of the screen—not from any of the items in the OS X Utilities window.
In the window that opens, type this:
    resetp
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens. Close the Terminal window to get it out of the way.
Select the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected. You won't be able to do this if FileVault is active.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but the Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as the login password), there's no way to recover it.

  • In Yosemite, I can;t operate for more than a few minutes with Keychain or Safari asking for my login password.  How can I turn this off, and still be safe?

Using Yosemite, I an't seem to work for more than a few minutes without being asked for my login password.  Keychain wants it, Safari wants it, iCloud wants it..the list goes on.  Then in 10 minutes or so, they all want it again.  Passwords are being stored by Safari as usual, but new tabs or pages bring up the request.  How can I turn this off and still have protection?

    Tutorial: Resolving Keychain Issues
If you can't access your keychain, or forget your password If you can't get into your keychain file because you've forgotten your password or the keychain file appears to be corrupt, there are a couple of options.
First, if you've forgotten your password, you can use the "Keychain First Aid" utility to make the keychain password the same as the login password. This can be accomplished via the following process:
      1. Open Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
      2. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Preferences"
      3. Click the "First Aid" tab
      4. Make sure the "Synchronize login keychain password" box is checked
      5. Close the Preferences window
      6. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Keychain First Aid"
      7. Enter your username and password
      8. Click the "Repair" button
The second option is to completely delete your keychain then recreate it. This routine is useful if your keychain appears to be corrupt or otherwise inaccessible. This can be accomplished as follows:
      1. Launch Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
      2. Click "Show Keychains" in the lower-left corner of the window.
      3. Select the problematic keychain from the left-hand pane.
      4. Navigate to the "File" menu and select "Delete Keychain '(name of keychain)'"
      5. Check all options for deletion and press "OK"
      6. Create a new keychain by going to the "File" menu, then "New" and selecting
          "New Keychain"
      7. You can now make this keychain your default if you desire by selecting it, then
going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make '(name of keychain)' Default"
Login as root and perform repair In some cases, problems with keychains can only be resolved when logged in as the root user.
First, you want to enable the root user:
      1. OS X Mountain Lion: Enable and disable the root user
      2. OS X Lion: Enable and disable the root user
      3. Mac OS X 10.6: Enabling the root user
      4. Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X
After enabling the root user, and logging in under this account, again open Keychain Access. First attempt repairs using Keychain First Aid, and failing that, delete then recreate the keychain as described above while logged in as root.
Persistently asked for stored passwords If you are persistently asked for passwords in various applications that you have specified should be remembered in a keychain, your "login" keychain may not be active for one reason or another.
Navigate to ~/Library/Keychains/ (this is the Library folder inside your user's home folder). Find the file named "login.keychain" and double-click it.
Failing that, select the "login" keychain within the Keychain Access application and make sure it is the default keychain by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make 'Login' Default"
Turn off Keychain synchronization in applications having problems If specific applications are experiencing issues when accessing password-protected material, the Keychain may be to blame.

  • Can't create a folder without being asked for a login password.

I'm running 10.9.5 on an iMac. When I try to create a folder I'm asked for my login password. When I try to move a file into the folder I'm asked again for my login password. This is very annoying. My other Mac running 10.4.8 doesn't do this.

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this, boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type:  ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.

  • BI Publisher Standalone - Windows - 10.1.3.4.1 - Default Login/PW fails

    Hello
I just installed BIP on my PC and after the installation finished, I got a message saying that I can login using "Administrator" as un & pw for the first time.
Unfortunately, when I open up the URL for BIP and try to login using this info, it doesn't do anything at all. Has anyone else encountered this before? How can I resolve this? Is there a setup or config file that I can edit with a new password, or reset the password, etc? Am I supposed to be using a different pw?
    Some info on my system:
    - IE8
    - 2GB Ram, 160 GB HDD
    - Win XP Pro SP 3
    - Oracle 10g XE
    - Oracle BIP Desktop 10.1.3.2
    - Oracle BIP 10.1.3.4.1
    Thanks & Cheers

Stop BI Publisher service (OC4J stop) and manually modify this file:
    File: C:\OracleBI\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Configuration\xmlp-server-config.xml
(make a backup of this file before the change)
    Update the entry to: <property name="SECURITY_MODEL" value="XDO"/>
Save it and restart BI Publisher.
You should be able to login as Administrator/Administrator now.
    cheers

New Imac. I get rid off login password from security and accounts and restart. Now it asks for username and password and it's not acepting anything. Any ideas?

First, reset your password as follows.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but you won't be able to unlock the Keychain. If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. You’ll need to reset your keychain in the preferences of the Keychain Access application.
If you're being prompted to authenticate when making changes to files inside your home folder, continue as follows.
    Back up all data now.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:20 ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ 2> /dev/null
Be sure to select the whole line by triple-clicking anywhere in it. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar. A text window opens.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

  • How to stop frequent keychain login password requests

This problem is very irritating, I’m getting asked frequently by OS X to enter a keychain login password.  What I’ve read suggests this is related to a problem with Keychain Access.  One explanation says it can be caused by an administrator account password change where the default keychain password does not change, resulting in an inconsistency.  I have NOT changed my account password so I don’t think this is the cause of my problem.
I’ve also tried using Keychain Access First Aid, but it currently finds no problems.
In my case, this appears to have started after an upgrade from OS X Mavericks to Yosemite.  When I did the upgrade, the first problem I encountered was Mail stopped working – I was unable to send or receive mail.  I could, however, go to my mail provider at their web site and view mail there just fine.  That problem was resolved by using Keychain Access First Aid - I can now use Apple Mail on my "Air" just fine, but I’m still being inundated with frequent requests to enter a keychain login password.  I get these requests from Mail, AddressBookSourceSync, Messages Agent, Safari, Local Items, CalendarAgent, and com.apple.MailServiceAgent.xpc.
Once I enter my login password to 3-5 of these requests, I’m able to continue working on my Macbook Air, however once I close and reopen the lid of my Air, the requests start anew.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
