  • Supress default logon box after invalid logon via SSO

    Hi,
    We are using SSO to authenticate to the database. If the SSO authenication fails, Oracle Forms automatically brings up the default logon box. For example -
    A user registers and their userid and password are stored in the OID. The user's password is then reset by a DBA. The next time the user tries to access the application, the credentials stored in the OID are incorrect. The on-error trigger in the form fires and brings up an error message. Then the default logon box pops up. I would like to just display a message and then exit the form. I do not want the user to have the option to enter a userid and password. I have tried putting an exit_form in the on-error trigger, but it says that exit_form is a restricted procedure. No other triggers fire before the default logon box pops up.
    Does anyone know how I can supress the default logon box?
    Thanks,
    Kim

    Hi Caíque,
    Yes, we allowed pop-ups  and cokies in the browser and disabled the firewall.
    When we click a button on the CRM UI in internet explorer, the error message is

  • Change default logon/startup/lock screen in windows 8 pro

    Hi,
    I want to change my default logon screen, the one that appears when I boot. I have changed the lock screen within my account, but I can't change the one (that I beleive is) for the default user. I have seen some complicated steps to copy over a file
    in systemdata folder for the default user profile, but It seems really awful to do it in my notebook (which is not joined to a domain, and it is Windows 8 Pro). So, is there a simple way to do it? Why my personalized lock screen isn't shown?
    Regards,
    MarianoC.

    Thanks MarianoC, you got me closer to solving my lock screen problem.  Sorry about your lock screen presets issue, glad that is not an issue for me, as I see you have given up.  I wanted to post my more detailed solution description
    here, since this was one of the fist places I landed while researching this.
    I fixed mine by replacing the default Lock Screen image files.
    You can find them here C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData\S-1-5-18\ReadOnly
    Caution---You have to have hidden files visible, and you also have to understand how to take ownership of folders and assign ownership and permissions (it's not that difficult, search if
    you don't know how).
    I had 2 folders in that location W and Z;
    The W folder already had my selected Lock Screen picture.
    The W folder may have been the result of a previous tweak I tried, it had the newer photo I had selected already, if your W doesn’t have your photo and you have issues maybe replace it too.
      If you don’t have a W folder I wouldn’t sweat it for now.
    I had my luck with the Z folder, it contained the default space needle picture in 2 versions; dimmed and plain (I didn't look for a visual difference).
    I replaced both of them with my chosen lock screen picture.
    There are 2 ways to do this;
    1st is to rename your original file (add a 1 to the name, you can go back to original easier this way). Replace it with picture of your choosing with the exact same name as original.
    You must assign full permission to the system account.
    Warning. This method seems safer but I could not figure out how to assign permission to the trusted installer account, which existed previously for this file, this could inhibit some future compatibility.
    2nd way preserves system and trusted installer permissions.
    Create your lock screen pictures in a separate folder, with exactly the same names as your 2 original files.
    Copy/Paste the files into the Z folder, you will get asked to replace existing.
    If you say yes it should preserve security settings but update the photo.

  • Admin Console default logon

    I have downloaded and installed version 2 update 1 and have no problem exploring the sample databases.
    When trying to follow a tutorial on creating my own database I cannot log onto the Admin Console. I was not asked to create one during the installation, nor have I been able to find in any of the documentation.
    Is there a default logon for the console? If so what is it?

    Try with user "admin", password "adminadmin".
    Best regards
    Antonio.

  • Default Logon server

    Hi Guys,
    I have just deployed the first AD controller in a remote branch, before this, all branches authenticated to the AD controllers in our HO via our MPLS network. I wanted to take the need for remote branches to authenticate via the MPLS network to the HO for
    all logon and authoritive events by installing an AD controller. I have installed the new AD controller, setup as an AD (with Global Cat), DHCP and DNS. When I logon to a to a pc in that office it still shows my default logon server as the PDC in our HO. How
    do i go about forcing the Branch AD controller as the Default logon server for that branch (this branch does have a seperate ip range)? I want it to work this way as if their line drops, they cannot access their shares and network services that are located
    on the local network.
    Thanks
    Shaun

    Shaun,
    You need to define sites and subnets in your Domain. Be aware that Clients try to locate the nearest DC for the purpose of authentication.
    Below is the link which explains DC locator process in Detail.

    By defining sites and services you will force remote client systems to authenticate against the local DC, which will save your
    Network bandwidth ETC.

    Hi!
    I use my laptop only for connect to my work, but every time i need to switch the last local user and click in the Network Logon icon in the bottom right corner, how can i make the network logon my default logon environment ?

    Hi,
    Logon process cannot be easily replaced, but if your concern is just to ignore it, we can use auto logon to bypass the manual logon process:

  • How to set default logon domain RD Gateway and/or RD Web

    I'm using Win2k8 R2 servers with WinXP clients.  When I logon to the RD Web page, and again to RD Gateway, I -have- to enter domain\username to authenticate.  Anyone know how I can set the default logon domain?  My users don't even know how to spell their username most of the time, let alone what domain they're in, and I only have one domain.
    Thanks
    Mark

    Hello Mark,
    Thanks for your feedback.
    Based on your reply, I understand that you want to add a default domain name into Remote Desktop Web Access page, which helps the clients to know the domain their accounts are in.
    You can finish this task by customizing the default login page shipped with Remote Desktop Web Access services role. However, we don’t recommend you to do that in general, because:
    ·          The customization of the system-shipped page may cause unexpected risk or instability.
    ·          The future updates or service packs for related products may overwrite the modified version you customized.
    Based on the factors above, if you really need to do this customization, please note to backup both the original version and modified version of the login page, during the following customization steps:
    1.     Login to the Remote Desktop Web Access role-based server with local administrative permissions.
    2.     Navigate to the following location:
    %windir%\Web\RDWeb\Pages\<The Language of Your Location>\
    3.     Backup the login.aspx file to another location.
    4.     Right click the login.aspx file, and select Edit. The file will be opened with Edit status in your default HTML editor.
    5.     Change the original code section:
    <input id=”DomainUserName” name=”DomainUserName” type=”text” class=”textInputField” runat=”server” size=”25” autocomplete=”off” />
    to be:
    <input id=”DomainUserName” name=”DomainUserName” type=”text” class=”textInputField” runat=”server” size=”25” autocomplete=”off” value=”domainname\” />
    6.     Save the modification. Backup the modified version.
    Please test the issue again after the steps above. Let us know the result if possible. Thanks for your cooperation again.

  • Users by default logon language

    Hi
    I am trying to find out how many users logon to our global EEC5 system from different regions/countries, due to the lack of information entered in SU01 during the creation of users, I think the only reliable information to search on is 'Logon Language' in SU01 defaults, as we do setup the users to logon via their region logon language in the defaults, this should give me a rough guide at least !
    Looking at SU01 and the reports in SUIM, I cannot find a report where I can search using logon language as the key? I've had a look in the technical information for field logon language in SU01 and the field name is LANGU, but when I use this field name in SUIM --> Users by complex selection criteria (RSUSR002) -- > field name LANGU and value as language key = DE for example no matching results displayed, even though we have over 00 users with a logon language default set as DE.
    Does anyone know a way I can list the users by logon language set as their default?
    Thanks for any help.

    This details can be found from the Report RSUSR200 (users by Logon date and password chage). Please deselect all options and keep the following selected:
    Users Valid Today
    Users Not Locked ; Users Locked
    Users with no incorrect Logon attempts
    Dialog Users
    Users with Productive password
    Users with initial Password
    users with deactivated password
    Execute and check / download the list.

  • Default logon client when do transport

    I am not sure this is the right forum but anyway I ask: We have DEV/QAS/PRD 3-systems landscape. When I perform a transport from DEV to QAS in STMS, of course, it ask me the logon information of QAS, but the logon screen is always default to 000 instead of the client we want to transport to (which is client 010) and I have to change the client number from 000 to 010 everytime. I am trying to find parameter or setting somewhere to change that default client 000 to 010 so we don't have to change the logon client everytime when we do the transport.
    Anyone know which parameter or settings control this default client?
    Thanks,
    Yujun Ran

    Hi,
    i am not sure if you are accessing QAS from DEV-STMS or you are logging to QAS system via SAPGui and then run STMS.
    If first, then you can check the OSS note 749977 and also consider adding additional S_RFC auth to TMSADM user in 000 client so that it won't prompt you for credentials anytime you are tryingto logon to QAS via DEV-TMS.
    If second, maintain login/system_client parameter.

  • Windows 8.1 default logon prompt for smart card instead of username/password

    Hello,
    We are currently in our pre-deployment test phase for Windows 8.1 and are trying to knock out the high visibility problems that we notice.  One of the issues we've noticed:
    When logging into Windows, the default prompt is for a username/password.  all of our users are using smart cards, so they have to click "sign-in options", click the smart card icon, and then enter their PIN.  How would I change the startup
    screen to default to smart card?
    Also, when locking the screen by removing the card it again prompts for the username/password when unlocking the screen.  So the users again have to click on "sign-in options" and select the smart card, otherwise they risk locking out their
    account by entering the PIN in the username/password field.
    when locking the screen via ctrl-alt-del or windows-L unlocking does default to the smart card, so I know it can be done!
    thanks,
    -Nick

    Hi,
    I'm afraid we couldn't change the Sign-in Options order, I checked GP and Registry, there is no way to do it.
    However, there is another way is just enable "Require smart card" In GP. While after this policy enabled, All users will have to use smart cards to log on to the network. This means that the organization must have a reliable public key infrastructure (PKI)
    in place, and provide smart cards and smart card readers for all users.

  • Windows 8.1 Group Policy to Force Domain Logon as Default?

    I recently purchased a new Windows 8.1 computer for use in our organization.  The default logon option for the device is for a Microsoft Account (the default username field prompt is for an e-mail address, rather than for a username.)  However,
    I would prefer that the default logon option be for a Windows domain account logon, so that users don't have to click the "Sign-in options" link and select "Local or domain account password" each time they need to log onto the computer.
    I have learned that setting the "Interactive logon:  Do not display last user name"
    policy (located under Computer Configuration / Policies / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Local Policies / Security Options) to
    Disabled allows the domain logon option to be retained across sessions.  However, I would prefer to keep this option set to Enabled so that the previous user name is not displayed.
    Does anyone have any suggestions on how the default logon option can be forced to a domain logon, while still suppressing the display of the last username?

    Hi Arowitv,
    According to your description, we can use the following policy to check the result.
    Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options:
    Accounts: Block Microsoft accounts
    Click this option, and select" Users can't add or log on with Microsoft account"
    Note: Selecting this option might make it impossible for an existing administrator on this computer to log on and manage the system.
    Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon :Assign default domain for logon
    Set the option to Enabled, and add the Default Logon domain.
    Hope this helps.

  • Windows RDS - configuring a default connection & desktop

    I'm looking at remote desktop options and used terminal services in the past.  I'm configuring remote desktop services on a Windows 2008 R2 server.  The goal is
    to allow users to go to a web page, pull up a remote desktop and access apps & server shares inside the network.
    I have it installed, and am able to get a connection using \\server\rdweb.  However, that takes me to the RDS default connection page. If I click on remote desktop it asks what computer I want to connect
    to.
    What I want to do is configure this or another web page to automatically connect to a default profile I've configured with various apps, or to create a new profile based on the user's login name like any PC
    does when you login with a new user ID.
    I'm sure it's in the documentation somewhere, I haven't run across it yet.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your posting in Windows Server Forum.
    As per your comment, I can say that you can try to change the login web page of RD web where you can place the default domain and user name for that user.
    You can make changes on login.aspx file on “%windir%\Web\RDWeb\Pages\<The Language of Your Location>\”path as below:
    Change the original code section:
    <input id=”DomainUserName” name=”DomainUserName” type=”text” class=”textInputField” runat=”server” size=”25” autocomplete=”off” />
    to be:
    <input id=”DomainUserName” name=”DomainUserName” type=”text” class=”textInputField” runat=”server” size=”25” autocomplete=”off”
    value=”domainname\” />
    Please refer below thread for more information.

    Hello, i am facing with such problem:
    I have developed application "custom logon screen"

    after deploy i get this error:

    I try to develop similar application at NW CE 7.20 (using documentation for 7.20 - [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce72/helpdata/en/23/c0e240beb0702ae10000000a155106/content.htm]) and had the same problems.
    There is at least one mistake in documentation:
    "To avoid inconsistencies in class references, add the class folder of the logon logic application to the libraries of the Java build path of the imported logon UI application.
    You can find the class folder of the default logon logic application
    under the following path:
    <ASJava_Installation>/j2ee/cluster/apps/sap.com/com.sap.security.core.logon/servlet_jsp/logon_app/root/WEB-INF/classes"
    There are no such folder on server. I tried to add tcsecumelogonlogic_api.jar which can be found at similar location: <ASJava_Installation>/j2ee/cluster/apps/sap.com/com.sap.security.core.logon/servlet_jsp/logon_app/root/WEB-INF/lib After that my application compiling successfully (without that i have errors compiling/validating original file "logonPage.jsp" and others which are using beans from mentioned JAR). But after deployment i get NoClassDefFound/InstantiationException error. btw, all mentioned things in documentions was done exactly as written in documentantion and with different variations many times but without success.

    Hi Kaushal,
    Have you tried the option of going to Direct Editing and changing the logo.
    For this goto System Administration-System Configuration-UM Configuration-Direct Editing.
    Check the following properties.
    <b>#Defines the logon image
    (Type: String, Default: '/logon/layout/branding-image.jpg')
    ume.logon.branding_image=/logon/layout/branding-image.jpg
    #Defines the second logon image (e.g. containing text)
    (Type: String, Default: '/logon/layout/branding-text.gif')
    ume.logon.branding_text=/logon/layout/branding-text.gif
    </b>
    Give path of your desired image in ume.logon.branding_image and <b>restart the server</b>
