Default logs

Hi
Where would all the default logs for an Interface go and where is the option in Interface to give the log file for the interface..

ODI 'logs' (execution logs) all the activity in a session into the repository. The execution logs may be viewed using the operator tool, and the metadata navigator (if you have it set up).
The information stored in the repository is stored in a relational database structure, which may be queried using your favcourite query tools. It is not obfuscated in any way.
If you want a physical file of the execution log, there is a tool provided, ODIExportLog which may be used to export the log info to a file.

  • Change default log level when calling a scenario

    Hi,
we are looking to an easy way to change log level default value instead of having to transfer a variable to each sub-scenario.
By default log level is set to 5, which is too much. Is this value stored in a repository ? Can we easily change it ?
    Thanks in advance

  • Modify bcs default log data

    Hello,
We've a problem with the displayed data in the log of  the currency translation task.
The system shows a exchange rate type wrong because it has been applied another exchange rate through a BADI because of a requirement.
My questions are, can we change the value displayed on the exchange data type in log of the task?
    Where could we do this?
Have you ever change the data log through any BADI?
    Thanks.

Although I've never changed the log via BADi, I have changed the log in the task configuration. When doing this I typically copy the default log and change the copied log to obtain the results the users request.

  • Where to read the default log

Anybody know where I can read the log for default logic?

    Hello,
you can find them under the "PrivatePublications" directory of the user (webfolders/<appset>/<app>/PrivatePublications/<user>/tempfiles).
As far as I know you can only read the last Default log execution, the name of the file is "DebugLogic.log".

  • Adpatch default log file names-Raghuram Kotnana

Does using of adpatch default log file names during patching makes it difficult to keep an accurate record of your patch history ?

It does make it difficult when you apply many patches and all are logged in the same patch log file. If you encounter issues applying patches while using the default adpatch.log name, it would be also harder to find the proper entries to grep and share with Oracle support.
I would suggest you use the same patch driver name for the log file and replace .drv with .log (i.e. u<patch number>.log).
Details about applied patches from your instance can be found in the tables in (Important tables used by and updated by ADPATCH utility (Doc ID 1520703.1)).
You can also refer to eTRM website for details about each table -- http://etrm.oracle.com/

  • How to disable default logging for workshop web services

    Hi there,
We have created a web service using WL Workshop that we want to deploy to a production server. The problem is that the destination server is not using a default log4j library for the server, but each application initiates its own library.
When we try to deploy the web service onto the production server, we are getting an error of a log4j/Appender class not found. We can solve the problem by adding any log4j library to the class path at the beginning, but that will cause compatilibity problems with existing applications.
Is there any way to disable the default web services logging? It looks like the knex library is trying to instantiate this class at deployment. Any way we can disable that option?
    Thanks

    Thanks David for your reply,
That is indeed what I am trying to do: to add all required libraries within my web-inf folder.
But it seems that the server itself expects the log4j library to be loaded when the server is initiated. It looks to me that some server-level listener for the web services is starting together with the domain and tries to access the log4j library. This library is not found because it is inside the web-inf folder of my application.
I do not see any error while starting the server. The error only appears when trying to deploy the application (ear) with the web service. It seems that I am forgetting something, but unless I include the log4j.jar in the classpath when I start the server, i will not be able to avoid the error.
Suggestions and tests are much welcome.
    thanks!

  • What is the default log filename for connector logging in Weblogic 9.x?

According to the JCA 1.5 Specification -
The ApplicationServer manages the association of output stream with the ManagedConnectionFactory.
    http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/api/javax/resource/spi/ManagedConnectionFactory.html#setLogWriter(java.io.PrintWriter)
So setLogWriter() is called by WebLogic 9.x for the ManagedConnectionFactory.
My observation is that even if no <log-filename> is specified in weblogic-ra.xml of the resource adaptor , the value of the PrintWriter set on the ManagedConnectionFactory is not null
    eg java.io.PrintWriter@404c51.
So my question is that in case no <log-filename> entry is specified in weblogic-ra.xml of the resource adaptor , what is the default value of the logfile to which the connector logging messages will be redirected?

your home folder should have the permissions set as you state them.
Everything inside your home folder (like Music, Documents and others) should be more like
    you: read&write
    staff: no rights
    everyone: no rights
but if you are the only user of your Mac, these settings have little importance to you.
to repair the permission boot into recovery (pressing command + R before you hear the start up sound. Then start Disk Utility from the Utility menu and choose Repair permissions. See this article for a detailed set of instructions. It's a little older, but still valid-

  • Default Logging of stderr and stdout to files

Are stderr and stdout logged to a file as part of the default configuration?
Are stderr and stdout sent to weblogic.log, or to another file?
Are there parameters in the config.xml for re-directing stderr and stdout to
    a file?
What should I be looking for?
    Thanks in advance.
    Stan

Depending on the platform, most people start Weblogic with a shell or batch
or command script that redirects stderr and stdout ... sometimes to one file
sometimes to two different files. You can use the ">" and "2>" on
DOS/Windows/Linux/Unix to redirect stdout and stderr.

  • How can i change my adium default log in email?

I basically would like to log in with a different email address from the one entered during set up.
    Please advise. Thank You.

Under Mail in the top menu select Preferences then select Accounts. Click the Plus sign at the bottom of the box and you can set up your new account.
After you're sure that the new e-mail address is working you can use the Minus sign to delete the old account if you want. Click on the old account to highlight it and click on the Minus sign.

  • Over ride default user log in?

    Hello,
in the nutshell, I'm currently running 10.8.3 and am wondering if theres a key to press that will "over ride" the default log in user.
My set up is that the mac automatically signs on to the family profile, then i sign out and sign into mine. I chose this set up for my rather technically challenged parents. I would like to be able to press a key or simple combination so that it shows the sign on screen and the user can choose who to sign on. I do feel comfortable using terminal if that does make a difference.
    Thanks in advance.

Open the Users & Groups or Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences and turn off automatic login.

  • Change beasvc.exe default stdout log rotation parameters in WLS10.0

    Weblogic Server 10.0:
I'm trying to change default log rotation parameters for weblogic server service as suggested here:
    http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs100/server_start/winservice.html#wp1193277
    my installsvc.cmd contains:
    set ROTATION_TYPE = TIME
    set TIME_START_DATE = Jun 12 2008 15:07:00
    set TIME_INTERVAL_MINS = 3
    set STD_LOG=C:\logs\stdout.log
    beasvc.exe -install.... -log:"%STD_LOG%"
This is the sniplet from the stdout.log:
[Thu Jun 12 15:45:09 2008] [initLog] initializing logger
[Thu Jun 12 15:45:09 2008] [E] [initLog] No 'ROTATION_TYPE' header found. 'TIME' based rotation will be used by default.

the service then starts ok and works with default settings, but that's not what I'm looking for...
    any ideas are welcome ;)
    thanks!

yes, the parameters are set when service is being installed. Also, I can see in the log when changes are made to the parameters and service reinstalled.

  • How do I set the logging level with the plug-in 1.4

I am writing an applet that will be hosted in the plug-in version 1.4. I'd like to set up some logging statements using the java.util.logging API. I have successfully got it to print out log messages, but it is not printing anything below level INFO. How can I set it up to print out log statements at the FINEST level?

If you are using the default logger for logging from the applet, the default log level from the logging.properties file in your JRE lib directory is the place. There is an entry
.level= INFO In this file. You can modify this entry.
This is a a roundabout way of achieving it. since we are modifying the default log level here, it will be used by other java applications as well. I am looking for a better solution.

How can I control what page to go to when I hit the logged off icon or link? I know how to set the default page after logging in, but what I don't know is how to set the default logged out page?
Can anybody help me with this?

If you want everyone to go to the same page when they log out, you can set a default page for the public user by editing the portal user profile for the PUBLIC user. You set the default page for this user and upon logout, that is the page that is navigated to.
