Default number of pixels of a cursor

Hi, I have a question about the a lab view program written on IMAC. I placed the cursor on the image and it will analyze an area centered around the cursor. I want to know whether there is a default number of pixels for that area centered around the cursor. Thanks!

Hello,
I'm not sure which image and cursor you're referring to here.  If
this
is a built application that is running on the machine, and that
application was written to do image  analysis, then you'd probably
want to consult with the person who created the application.  If
you could post back with some more details about what you're asking, we
might be able to help you out a bit more.  Also, this IMAC of
which you speak, is this an Apple iMac computer, or are you possibly
using our image acquisition (IMAQ) tools in the program?
Cheers,

I want to create a HD disc with my Adobe Premier Elements but I am getting low resolution.  When I go to share the DVD to disc the form only offers 8pixels at the bottom.  How do I burn this DVD in HD with higher number of pixels?  I have read other forums on burning HD DVD's but I do not see the option to turn the 8 pi into 40 pi the one forum recommended.  I want my DVD to be HD so I may sell these videos online for my business.  I can't sell them the low quality they are burning now.  Hopefully you can help me.  Thanks.

    Thank you for your reply.
You cannot burn your high resolution video that you can view on your computer to an AVCHD on DVD disc
that will replay through a regular DVD player. But players are marketed under a variety of names with
different support opportunities. One manufacturer may call its product MultiMedia Player, media player, Blu-ray player,
etc.The bottom line is the specifications for each of the players that are candidates for the playback of
the AVCHD format on DVD disc or the format of interest.
If you upload your HD (1920 x 1080) video to YouTube, YouTube converts the video to flash format, but it goes up as the HD video.
But, beware. Look at the YouTube viewing setting when your uploaded video is playing back. The YouTube default is not
HD. It might be 360p, 480p. If you have a 1080p video, then before the YouTube playback, you should be looking
at the video with the YouTube 1080p HD setting for best viewing. That is a YouTube matter.
    Best results depend on you
    a. setting up the Premiere Elements project preset to match the properties of the source media. That means, if
you have 1080p source, you (manually) or the project (automatically) set the project preset at
    NTSC
    DSLR
    1080p
    DSLR [email protected]
or the PAL counterpart, depending on your region need.
    b. if you upload your video to YouTube using the Premiere Elements feature, there is a HD preset, but you cannot
customize it.....if you need customization, then you can export your Timeline to a file...in this example
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    AVCHD
    with Presets = MP4 H.264 1920 x 1080p30 or PAL counterpart
and then customize the preset under the Advanced Button/Video Tab of that preset. In increase quality, you might look to increase
the Bitrate under Advanced Button/Video Tab settings - without compromising the file size.
Then you would upload that file to YouTube at the YouTube web site.
All of the above are factors that need looking into in order to determine the why for what you wrote
I have published a shortened advertisement video to YouTube- say 5 minutes-
    and it is low quality
Often SD video upscaled to HD can present poorly. But, you are dealing with a HD workflow so that should not be introduced into the matter. The setup of the project and
the properties of the source video are important, but let us start with the above and rule in or out those considerations first.
Thank you. As always, any clarification needed, please do not hesitate to ask.

  • Counting the number of pixels in a certain range within an ROI

I am using Vision 6.0 for Visual Basic.
I would like to get a count of the number of pixels within a particular region whose value falls within a certain range (e.g., the number of pixels with values between 86 and 255).
Can anyone tell me how I can do this?
    Thanks.

    bep -
Have you looked at the Histogram example? It should be under the Analysis directory wherever the examples are.
After doing the Histogram like the example does, you will have a CWIMAQHistogramReport object (let's call it HistogramReport) that contains the result of the Histogram. To access the 1-dimensional array containing the count in each bin, use the Histogram property on the CWIMAQHistogramReportItem that the HistogramReport contains.
To use this array, however, you will need to assign it to a variant. So, to find the number of pixels that are in the 5th bin (with the default options, this will be the pixels that have exactly the value 4), do
    Dim Histogram As Variant
    Dim HistogramReport As New CWIMAQHistogramReport
    CWIMA
    QVision1.Histogram2 CWIMAQViewer1.Image, HistogramReport
    Histogram = HistogramReport(1).Histogram
' Now Histogram(5) contains the number of pixels in the 5th bin.
Let me know if this helps.

  • How to change Default number of rows displayed in a Briefing Book

    Hi,
We have a requirement to deliver a dashboard containing 7 dashboard pages to the business users.
To achieve this, I have created a briefing book by adding all the required dahboard pages and scheduled an agent to deliver the briefing book in PDF format. However, the briefing book delivered by the agent shows only 25 rows for all the analysis (reports) included in the dashboard pages.
I have already made the following settings:
    1. At the report level, edited the table view property to show 150 Rows Per page.
    2. At the dashboard page level, edited the PDF and Print properties to Print All Rows.
    3. Edited the instanceconfig.xml file to include the following tag under <Table> tag: <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>15000</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
Please advise if there is any setting which can help in increasing the default number of rows in a Briefing Book (OBIEE 11.1.1.3).
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sumit

    Hi,
This is a bug in 11.1.1.3
Bug 12671370 - BRIEFING BOOKS DO NOT SHOW ALL ROWS
As a workaround, you may want to click on the "Display Maximum(500) rows per page" button on the dashboard page before you download to Briefing books. This will work for reports with less than 500 rows.

  • Changing the default number of rows displayed in a interactive report

    Hi,
I have a sql query based interactive report but i cant change the default number of pages i.e 15.
is there any way to change the number of rows displayed.
    Thank you,
    rakesh

    Hi,
That was very useful document that you shared, yes that is correct we can so it this way but there is another way doing it where in if you go to the report attribute section and in that there is Layout and Pagination and under
that you can fix the number of rows, and over there we can also accept values from page item such as if the page item value changes the number of rows displayed in the report changes dynamically.
In my report i get only pagination but not a option for layout.
    Any help will be appreciated.
And also where i can get the links to the similar document that you have shared ?

  • How to set default number of records shown in an interactive report table?

How can I set the default number of rows shown on an interactive report?
The default seems to be 15, I can't find where this can be changed.

    Hi John,
When you're logged into the development interface, run the page with the IR. Set the rows from 15 to 5 (for example) and click "GO". Now click on the Actions Menu icon (the green gear), click "Save Report". "Save as: As default report settings". Click Apply and your rows will be set.

  • How to determine the number of pixels of a desired object within a digital photograph?

Hi everyone. I want to determine the number of pixels in an object that is part of a digital photo. I use cameras to film chunks of ice breaking away from ice cliffs or tidewater glaciers. I want to know the size of the ice chunk that my digital photographs capture. I know the width and height of the ice cliff in metres already, so I was thinking that I could convert the equivalent of 1 pixel : ? metres - this is really what I want to do. That way every time I see a chunk of ice breaking off, I can pull up the photo, outline the chunk, calculate how many pixels fill the area of ice removed by the chunk breaking off and convert to metres area 2 - thus giving me my size order. If anyone has ideas on how to do this I would really appreciate it, thanks so much community. I was thinking that Photoshop or Fireworks could help me with this, Ricky

    Thanks gener7 and normfb.
The Photoshop help measurement page is brilliant and I think I can use the info on that page to work out my iceberg sizes. Check out the attached photo - you are looking at an ice cliff - essentially the front of a tidewater glacier that flows in the ocean. I'm a research student and I look at the process of iceberg calving - this is the term we use to define the sudden breaking away or detachment of ice chunks from glaciers that end in the sea.
I used the lasso tool to crop the area of ice lost as a single chunk of ice detached from the ice cliff. At the same time I had the histogram window open. The histogram showed me how many pixels were contained in the cropped area. What I need to do now is work out what 1 pixel is equivalent to in metres. Soon I will have a digital elevation model for the ice cliff that will offer centimetre to metre scale resolution of the surface topography - so that should really help. The photographs I have are taken every 30 seconds - which is brilliant for documenting how the geometry of the ice cliff adjusts in response to detaching ice pieces and also because the ice is moving. I am a research student in Canada, and at the time I took the photos we measured that the ice cliff was advancing at a rate of approximately 12 metres per day! That's pretty fast. The flow of the ice is a first order control on the rate of iceberg production - you are essentially pushing ice into the ocean where it breaks off. I'm having to learn everything Photoshop from scratch...so please bare with me because maybe some of the photoshop questions I ask are simple to most!
I noticed the "integrated density" function on the help sheet you suggested. This function also provides the square number of pixels contained in the cropped area I select...I guess this is similar to the histogram right?
Either way - i just need the scale conversion to go from 1 pixel : metres or cm equivalent. At that point I think I will have to manually select every single iceberg event from my time-lapse photos and do this the manual way!  I have about 800 events to manually digitise and calculate the area for...
    Thanks everyone, Ricky

    Hi SIlkrooster,
Thanks for responding and giving a suggestion,
I followed your approach (see attached screen shot) , Image, Image Size, and found that approximately 37 pixels = 1 centimetre. So just to be clear - if I measure a straight line with the ruler tool that is say 10cm long, I can simply do: 10 cm * 37 pixels (1cm equivalent) = 370 pixels for the straight line. Do you agree?
    Do you agree?

  • Set Default Number Indentation in a List Pages

I have pages '09 and the default Number Indentation is 0.5in. For the work that I do I believe that this wastes a huge amount of space. I was wondering if there is a way to change the default value to 0.25in, because I do not want to have to change it every time.

    Create your own list style.
You can change the indent for each level in:
Inspector > Text > List > Bullets > Numbering > Number Indent > Text Indent
When you are happy with these save them as a List Style:
Menu > View > Show Styles Drawer > List > click on down triangle > Create New List Style from Selection > Name: > OK
and apply that to your lists.

  • How can I export the number of pixels of each layer into an excel file?

I would like to export the number of pixels that each layer of an image contains into excel. How can I do this?
Secondly, as I need to do this with several images, is there any way to name the layers so that all layers with let's say for example the name "yellow" appear in the same column in excel?
Some background information on why I need to do this... I would like to know how many percent of an image are yellow and have therefore created  layers of one image for each color it contains.
    Thanks for your help!!!

Maybe my question was a bit unclear. I do not want to find out the number of pixels of a color in a layer but the number of pixels of the complete layer.
What color these layers are is a different question. I am using images with a very limited range of colors (sort of like the image above but with about 10 colors). I have seperated these colors into layers and now need to count the pixels of each layer and export them.
You can record number of pixels/layer  into the Measurement Log, then export data to Excel. But I'm not sure how to automate that without scripting.
Does anyone know how to do this?
For normal artLayers it is somewhat easy to get the number of pixels in the layer. But that is just how many pixels are in the layer.
But that is exactly what I need to know, how many pixels are in the layer. I know how to find this out by looking at the histogram of the selection. But I want to export this information of all layers at once into an excel or text file. Any ideas on how to automate this with or without scripting?

  • How can I increase the number of pixels in an image?

How can I increase the number of pixels in an image?

    You can't.
The number of pixels in an image is decided by the camera that shoots the image
With an app like Photoshop you can interpolate - this will make a guess as to what a particular pixel may look like based on the ones around it. Results can vary wildly and Photoshop is expensive.
