Default Org Key Text

Hi Guys,
Is there a way to default the Org Key Text in the screen of Infotype 1. My requirement is to Display the Org Key text when an Org Key is present in infotype 1 screen in PA30. This is like the text in Employee Group and subgroup and Cost Center displayed beside the entry.

Hi,
Organizational Key is a string with a maximum of 7 bytes, which is placed in the variable key when table T527 is accessed. When maintaining the organizational key in the Organizational assignment infotype, the default values are supplied by field RULID.
Organisational Key can be defaulted by feature VDSK1. So as far as my knowledge is concerned it is NOT possible to give Text for Org Key

What i have done is in the cube level, in the dimensions i have made specific properties and set to key/text in development, so its working fine in development of the analyzer, but still its showing text only in quality analyzer.
please give me the solutions if you know any.

Org Key - VDSK1 - not being assigned correctly

Hi all,
For our infotype 1 - org key (VDSK1) we default the S-text of the org unit (not sure from where). And just for one of our company codes a small portion of the people's org keys aren't updating correctly (78 of 40,000). These 78 people were moved to new personnel areas and sub areas in the same company code. We are doing about 250 transfers a day and everyone else's org key is being populated correctly.
I looked at the feature VDSK1 and we have blanks or a space maintained against all options. So none of the rules are called from t527 and t527a for any of the 40,000 people we employee.
I tried forcing a rule to get the other people's org key right, but you can't select the s-text for p0001-orgeh (unless any of you know of a way). It just forced the first 5 digits for orgunit object id into this field.
I have also asked my abaper to debug the transfer process, but they can't find a call or update to p0001-vdsk1 anywhere.
Does anyone know where I can start looking for a possible solution to this?

Hi Purnima,
Go to SPRO
Personnel Management --> Personnel Administration --> Customizing Procedures --> Actions --> Define infogroups --> Choose your info group --> then choose your user group
Then, find infotype 0001, make sure in the field operation for IT 0001 is using INSS , not INS.
INS not generate feature automatically when the transaction changed.

Global change to the display way of characteristic - key & text

Dear Experts,
All over my queries, 0PROFIT_CTR displayed by default as Key (partially compounded) & Text.
Is there a way to change it globally to Key (not compounded) & Text ?
I didn't find any setting regarding the Key display on RSA1..
Any ideas?

The example Kamlesh points out is work-around method that certainly will get the job done for you. The other way would be to add the report to a custom web template and in there, under Web template Parameters, you have to pre-define a SET_PRESENTATION command. You can read about it here:

At least this is the only thing I've found.. I'm kind of in the same boat with not being given a whole lot of options in how you would like a Characteristic to display on a report in the BEx Query Designer. In my case, we have a characteristic set to use a Hierarchy. If you run the report and drop down the FILTER drop-down to filter on the characteristic, and it's showing the Hierarchy Node display, it doesn't just show the Hierarchy Parent/Child values.. it also has every ATTRIBUTE that's set to be navigational displayed on the same lines as it's parent value. Some chars, like 0CUSTOMER, have a LOT of Attributes. I can set a PERSONALIZATION up for myself at run-time and take those attribute values away from the display, but gone is the option to remove it at the DESIGN level.. it does not exist in the front-end nor back-end (at least what I could find). It looks like SAP took a lot of options away. It may be more efficient in terms of the program itself being more optimal, but removing those features actually hurts more than it helps, especially for companies who need to display certain characteristics outside of the "norm".
I haven't gotten the above link to work in my situation yet, but that's what I've found that sais you should be able to do what it is your doing.

Default PO header text

Hi Gurus
My requirement is to default the terms and conditions into the PO header for a specific Purchase organization.
To achieve this, I created a new text type in Define text types for header texts and defined the copyng rules for header text. I created a new text type in SO10 and assigned it to the purchase org in 'Texts for messages - define texts for purchase order and define text for purchase organization.
But when I create the PO using ME21N, the terms and conditions are not defaulted in header text. Please tell me if I am missing anything in the config.
Could you tell me the significance of Print sequence. Does this influence the text being defaulted into PO?

The text is a fix text and can only be seen in the message preview and the output, but not in the header of the PO itself.

Unable to key text into html and shtml pages

I have several websites coded in Dreamweaver that I have maintained for years. I have never had any difficulting making changes to existing pages. For the first time ever, all of my shtml pages will not permit any text changes and a body tag appears at the end of all previousy entered text and links.
An example of a page that has the problem is here: www.savesandyspring.org/multimedia.shtml
On this page I can no longer edit the heading "Multimedia" or the link below it. I can only start coding after all previously keyed text and links.

You're using a DW template file, I can see.

The 'Editable' content should come after the 'InstanceBeginEditable' tag. You'll have to open your DW template file in order to make this change of moving your edit element inside of InstanceBeginEditable region.

Default remote key check box

Does anyone know the significance of defalut remote key mapping check box that appears during Edit Key mapping ?

Default remote key check box is used to select 1 record among multiple merged records from same remote system.
if you get 2 or more duplicate records from 1 source systems, then only 1 record out of them can have default remote key check box.
an MDM object may map to multiple keys from the same remote system. When an MDM object maps to multiple keys, one of the keys is marked as the default key. The default keys the one that is used when syndicating a reference to the mapped MDM object.
For example, for a particular remote system, the two color objects Light Red and Dark Red both map to the MDM object Red. An MDM product object Shirt has a Color attribute set to Red. When this Shirt object is syndicated back to the remote system, the default key is used to choose the value to syndicate from the two objects Light Red and Dark Red.

Are you doing this in the webi report after you refresh it?
Or are you doing this in BEX?
I am able to get EITHER the text or key to display.
I get the text when i have the properties set to Text & Key and Medium length for the Text View.
Any other selection for text View, like std or long, result in seeing the key instead of the text.

How to get Org Key description

I have a query. In table pa0001 there is a field Org Key(VDSK1). when i execute this table for the personnel number i am able to see vdsk1 in the output.When i ress F4 on it i am able to see its description.
For example VDSK1 is 10 when i press F4 i am able to see descripions here. I need the table which gives the org key description.. I have seen the domain of VDSK1 here i am able to see T5270 is table to get description.
When i write select query as below i am getting T5270 is a table does not exist or not active. Its a polled table.

Set default width for text box in Adobe Acrobat X

Hello!
I am using the textbox tool to add comments to a document. (not the Typewriter, but the Textbox, since that has more flexibility for formatting the text).
I know how to set the default proprties for text size, color, background color, etc.
Cannot figure out however to to set the default width. Every time I try to add a new textbox, it defaults to about 1 or 2 inches wide, so the text wraps around and around, and then I have to resize the box when I am done.
Is there a way to change the default width?

I drew a box I like, and select, and then, Ctrl+C, and then Ctrl+V.
And move the pasted box where to need, and resize the length. At least I get same width boxes.
I don't know how to default it.

Default Primary Key Field of any database table

hi,
I am working on a database in which the data in the tables is generated from some other modules. I have to add, view and update functionalities to this table in the database. Unfortunately there is no primary key field for the table i am working on and as some existing modules are using this table i am not allowed to change the design of the table at this stage.
Without primary i think its not possible to do updates. Because if all fields can have their values changed, then there will be a breakdown if the field value changes in the mid time when i had already retrieved the data to show on the screen, but not yet updated the value in the database. I hope you understood my problem.
Please suggest solutions. I am not sure, but i think i read somewhere that every table created has a default primary associated whose value is always incresing with a new addtion of recored and its value never decreases. But i am unable to recollect the field name...i think it is some thing like[b] OID .... But i checked there is no such field name by OID. So please help me with some alternative solution...or by telling the default primary key field name.

All the databases I know (namely Informix, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, even Access) have a row id column generated automatically.
PostgreSQL example
There is a way to read the value of this column; for example with PostgreSQL let�s say you have the following:

iPads only support iMessage. You cannot send SMS with any of the native iOS functionality on it. There may be some apps in the app store that will, and certainly several messaging platforms (but read the descriptions carefully).

How to default country key in FD01/FK01 (Customer / Vendor Creation)

Hi gurus! I just noticed that in one of our systems (development) the country key has a default value. Can anybody please help me how to do that in our UAT system? Thanks

If ou want to make a default County key in Customer / Vendor Master then select the parameter id of countery key ie "LND" and set it in
System>User profile> Own data > Prameters.
Give the parameter id and value of the country key. After saving it logoff and again log in to check whether this field display with default country key given by you.
Assign points if this helps and resolved.

HP Pavilion tx2500z - Default Function Keys not working

I have a HP Pavilion tx2500z (model: KD436AV) laptop with Windows 7 64 bit OS installed. Since last few months, I am not able to use default function keys (F1, F2...F12) and other keys at the top row of the keyboard, including Pg Up, Pg Down, Home, End, Insert, Delete. However, all the Action Keys available on these keys are working without pressing Fn Key (e.g. Sleep, Brightness, num lock etc). I get same Action Key behaviour even after pressing Fn Key.
It looks like, somehow system is locked in action key mode and I am not able to come out of it. I tried to upgrade Bios (currently on latest F.0F version) and also tried to disable the Action Key mode in BIOS, but Action Key mode is not available in BIOS of this computer. Even to enter BIOS, I faced problem because F10 key was not working to enter BIOS setup. I had to connect external keyboard to enter BIOS.
I am disperately looking for help to come out of this situation. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

An idea for you would be to test the keyboard in a different enviroment ro see if it's hardware or not.
We can check the keys by booting into the recovery partition and opening a command prompt.
Power down notebook
Press power button then tap F11 until the screen says recovery at the bottom left or says Windows is Loading files. If it shows a different menu on your screen you may have press it too late or continues to load Windows you may have an issue w/ the partition.
Next when it loads into the menu choose an option so the program is slected. I select "System Recovery" then at the next menu press FN+SHIFT+D
At the commpand prompt window that pops up test the keys w/ issues.

To be totally honest this could be any number of things. I have had many
issues with report designer and find it to be not the most user friendly of tools, although with
some effort it does do a job.
Unfortunately I have not had this particular problem, but I'm not sure what you mean by adding
custom text then reopening the report. My thoughts were to already have the query open in RD,
right click in the small white space next to the relevent characteristic then use the Insert Custom Text option.
This should add in a box with [Custom Text] in it which you can overwrite and create your space with the
space bar.
If you are making certain changes to the BW query like adding in additional characteristics then I believe that when reopening RD you will find that the changes you have made will not be replicated unless the the BW query is static (structures only) and not navigational.
I apologise if I am going over old ground and you already know this.
