Default presentation numbers??

Hi,
am I missing something obvious - or is there no way to apply a default for the number of decimal places that a field has in the presentation layer of OBIEE 10.1.3.4
i.e. for a STAT figure I want to apply 3 d.p. as default

Hi Robert,
You can set the number of decimal places by going into column properties.
1) Click on column properties
2) Select Data Format Tab
3) Check the Override Default format option
4) Populate the No of decimal values with the number of decimals that you want as default for that field.

Highlight a known Word document in the Finder, highlight it & choose Get Info from the File menu. In the Get Info box, click the triangle next to "Open With." Click on this drop-down menu & choose Pages. If Pages is not a choice, choose "Other" & navigate to the Pages application. Now click the "Change" button under the text that asks if you want to open all documents like this with Pages. You can then double-click the Word documents & they will open in Pages. Note that the icon for the Word files will have a plain, white icon.
Repeat with Excel/Numbers & PowerPoint/Keynote.

How Do I Change Default Chapter Numbers When Compressing for iPad?

Basically, I'd like to export a program from a FCP 7 timeline with included chapter and compression markers and compress it using Compressor 3.5 or 4. The program is intended for distribution via iPad and I'd like to include medical disclaimers and a production company logo prior to the start of the program. The problem is that the chapter numbering seems to default to 1, 2, 3, etc. which makes the program's beginning read as Chapter 2. Is there any way to reset the default first chapter marker to Chapter 0 or similar? Or is there a way to do away with the automatic chapter numbering?

I understand that the markers can be named in the timeline. The problem I'm having is that, once the file is encoded and moved onto the iPad, the chapter names gain an additional number. So in my case there is a marker at the beginning of the sequence that I've named Medical Disclaimers and another at the beginning of the program that I've named Program Start and a third marker that I've named Chapter 1.
When the chapters display on the iPad it reads something like this:
Chapter 1
Medical Disclaimers
Chapter 2
Program Start
Chapter 3
Chapter 1
You see my problem? Chapter 3 / Chapter 1 doesn't really work. I can name the chapters anything I want in FCP, but as soon as they're loaded on the iPad they get a shiny new chapter number attached to them no matter what I do with the markers in FCP. I can of course rename Chapter 1 so that it's not so obvious, but I'd still like the program to start at Chapter 1 rather than Chapter 2 (or, if possible, have no automatic chapter number generation at all).

How can you change the default from Numbers 3.0 to Numbers 09

I unfortunately upgraded to Numbers 3.0 before checking to see if they ruined all the functionality. I still have Numbers 09 and use it, but I have to "open with" each time because 3.0 is now the default app. I can't find a preference setting to make 09 the default. Is there any way to do this?

If OS X has to choose, it will always open the most recent version of an app.
If you want to use Numbers '09, the best thing you can do is to move Numbers 3.0 to an external drive or delete it. New features will be added in the upcoming months > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6049?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Default phone numbers

When you have several phone numbers for a contact can you set one of them to be the default used on the "favorites" page?

Ms. Shonta, thanks for the info, i did not know that you could add up to 51 contacts! i tried it, and sure enough, new boxes pop up once you fill up all of the default ones.
However, it does not seem you answered the question at hand. Plus, just fyi to all Verizon reps, 99% of the questions on the Kin are now focused on the Kin ONEM and kin TWOM, not the original kin phones (which for some reason, you constantly keep replying for..even though that phone has been successfully killed off through the closing of the studio and the free smartphone promotion). It would be really nice if you actually provided answers to the questions at hand, not confusing/misleading replies to those who don't know about the older Kin phones. There is no Loop, or Studio, or Spot on the M model phones.
As far as picking a default phone number for a contact..i do not know how to do this or if it is possible. I know by default, it prioritizes the numbers by mobile, home, mobile2, etc (along the order that appears when you click the 'add a number' button in the contact info). I haven't been able to figure out how to pick the 'main' number that it selects from the favorites page by default (when you press 'call' or 'text'). If anyone knows how, or if it is/isn't possible, please provide an answer.

How do I set the default presentation resolution to 1028x768?

I looked in the help files and there was no mention.

Whenever you open a new presentation you will get a choice at the bottom left of the window for the size.
Once you have made your selection, every consecutive starting of a new presentation should be set to whatever your last presentation was. (if your last was 800x600 then your next should be 800x600)
If you wanted to change your presentation to 800x600 after discovering it was 1024x768 you can change the values in the first inspector on the left, the Document Inspector. There is a value there for Slide Size.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE DEFAULT WEB PRESENTATION OF IFS?

We have a web application that has links to specific documents and directories stored in IFS. For example, there could be a link that resolves to this URL within IFS:

What we see when the user follows this link is something like this:

Note that this is a very plain presentation, with just a heading telling you the directory you're in and a dumb list of the files and subdirectories you are looking at.
The developers would like to change this default presentation, if possible, without having to go deep into the IFS API calls to build a custom application.
Is there a template or default html file that we can edit to change this presentation? I opened a TAR on this, but was told to come to OTN since Oracle Support doesn't get into customization issues.

no, you cannot change the built-in http file listing that iFS provides. you can, however, write your own servlet and display whatever HTML you would like. the iFS API calls to get file listings by path and attributes from objects are very easy -- most of the work would be in building the servlet.

Presentation variable problem in PDF generation

Hi,
I have created the custom field using the following code
*case when (V_balance.yr<=@{var_year}{2009} and V_balance.yr>=@{var_year-3}{2006}) then 1 else 0 end*
Use this field I have created the filter and remove the field from report.
When I run the report with different prompts, its working fine as I expected in dashboard.
But when I generate the PDF for different prompt values ( var_year=2008 ) , I got same result. That is its generate var_year=2009 (default presentation variable)
Its generate the pdf with 'presentation variable default values' instead of presentation variable.
How could I rectify this problem.
Any one facing this problem.
Is there any alternative for this condition
Note:
We are using bise1 10.1.3.2.1
but I got a right answer in obiee 10.1.3.4.0

This is a known issue in 10.1.3.2. Oracle solved this problem in the new upgraded 10.1.3.4. Check the Meta link for the service request numbers raised for this problem. How hard it would be for you to migrate to 10.1.3.4.

In iProcurement contracts we have the possibility to use numbering schemes.
After defining a numbering scheme we are able to use the defined scheme, when we define a
contract template. When we activate the
renumber button, the contract terms are numbered according to the chosen (defined) scheme.
The present numbering is like this:

But we want to change this to

You would have to " Back date" the uninstall date and time as well.The Oldest date that you could have here has to be greater than the "end date" of the Previous time segment for the piece of equipment
The current date and time is always defaulted for Uninstall and Installation process, You would need to manipulate the same. You will not be be able to change the dates of the old time segments once a record has been created.

Does anyone know if it's possible to have more than 1 SCO in a Manifest when using Presenter 7?

I have several presentations that I want to be able to distribute to a third party SCORM LMS server. I want to have one Manifest and then have each presentation / quizz as an individual SCO so that I will end up with 1 course rather than having a manifest for each presentation. HELP!!!!!!! I have called Adobe Support and haven't been able to get any help at all. Well, I did get some help on working on my patience I've even called Sales thinking I may be able to get some help there - no such luck. If anyone knows how to do this please let me know!!! I've already spent about 40 hours trying different things and am at my whits end (or nearly). I am desperate

Unless you find a way to modify the manifest file such that it accounts for each presentation as a separate SCO, then I'm afraid that the answer is no.
Unfortunately as a default, Presenter "sees" each PPT deck as a single SCO even if you have multiple quizzes within a PowerPoint deck...and because the slides contained within one presentation equate to one published "course," the net effect is a single SCO per deck.
I'm hoping that others will weigh in here, but at this point, I really don't think you'll be able to consolidate multiple presentations and come up with a multi-SCO course....Presenter just doesn't provide it.

Resetting user settings of views to default

Hi,
we are using ALBPM Enteprise 6.0 Mp5.
We have prepared our custom presentations to be used in custom views in the Workspace - meaning we have defined a specific set of columns that we want the user to see.
Some user have modified his presentation and saved it - thus now everytime he opens the custom view he sees different set of fields as we want him to, even after logout and login.
How can we force change of the presentation for the view to be back to default? To throw away his changes?
Can he somehow go back to the default presentation?

I have a simillar problem. The user changes his views and now, when he logs in, a javascript error is throwed and nothing appears on screen.
Did you make it? I need to reset the user custom layout either.
Someone knows how to do that?

Changing default SSH port 22

I am interested in making my computer more secure. I have my computer set up as a web server and also have FTP and Remote Access services enabled. Last week I had a security breach. Someone had placed a folder in my web directory which basically spoofed the eBay login page. I have since disabled FTP and Remote Access services. After doing so, there have been no more intrusions to date.
Since this incident I have been conducting research on the Web about tightening up security on my home computer. One of things suggested is changing the default port for SSH. What is the process involved in changing the port?
Any assistance is appreciated.

The default port numbers of the services stands in the file /etc/services. When you activate an service such as ssh, the service bind the port number, which stands in these file and listen at this port.
You could change the portnumber with: sudo vi /etc/services.
When you make changes in these file, is it better, when you comment the default entries and make new entries with your portnumbers.

Default programme for mail attachments

Since installing Snow Leopard, my Mail programme defaults to Numbers or Pages when opening attachments. How do I change the default back to Microsoft Word or Excel?

With such files, saved anywhere in your user folder, Control-click on one of each type, choose Get Info, and in the resulting window choose the program to use, and then further choose the selection to open all such files with that application. Do this once for a Word doc and once for an Excel file.

Fonts in the Adobe Livecycle by default

Hi,
I wanted to know the default fonts available when Livecycle server is installed. When a form is rendered from the server, will the core engine use the fonts present in the Livecycle Application or the Server?

Hi,
To expand all the folder by default, we need to set the property of the detailed navigation tree.
Open your framework page in the content administration.
Check on the detailed navigation check box and click on the properties button.
In the properties, set the value of initial state= OPEN .
This will expand all the folders by default.
