Default Printer for Cheque print

Hi Experts,
We are using Y forms which are assigned to SAPWIN and we are using SAPWIN as device type. How ever when we are testing cheque print function, the error is coming "Device Type HPLIID does not support YINFORM"
Is there any place where this default printer is coming up? Even we have this set in our User Master data as LOCAL(assigned to SAPWIN and YFORM), still this issue is coming.
Tried to search SDN and SAP notes but could not find specific to our issue. Any help are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sabita

  • How to print Spool requests for cheque printing sequentially

    Dear All,
    I am making vendor payments and printing cheques using F-58. It automatically creates a spool requests at the end of the transaction. When i complete all my payments and go to SP01 for viewing spool requests, the last request appears at the top of the list.
    If i select 3 consecutive requests and print them at a time, the last request gets printed first on the first cheque number and the first request gets printed on the last cheque number.
    This results in anomaly in the cheque number assigned in the system and the printed cheque as the last payment is printed on the first cheque.
    I am using dot matrix printer with  page format fixed for cheque specifications. The cheques are printed properly as per the format except the order of printing.
    Kindly let me know how to print multiple requests sequentially from the spool requests list such that the spool request number printed matches with the serial cheque numbers.

    Hi,
    I understod your issue.
    Whenever you posted multiple payment documents, and after that if you want to take cheque printouts sequentially by using more spool requests.........there is a way to sort out this issue.
    1) Select all of your spool requests and click on Sort in ascending Order (CtrlShiftF5) and click on Print directly (CtrlShiftF8). By doing this you will get the cheque printouts sequentially according to your payment document sequence.
    Hope this will help you
    Assign ********, if it solved your problem.

  • Default printer settings for HP Deskjet 882c

    All I want to do is set this printer to print in black and white by default. If I wanted color, I would use my other printer ... I want faster than a snails pace so I brought this one back out.
    Being a PC for my entire life, this should be an easy thing to set the default print settings on the printer. I don't see them!
    What I am printing is emails off hotmail ... tons of them ... going back months ... so please don't ask me to add an additional step here ...
    Pulling my hair out here ... help would be lovely!

    You are on the right track for sure. The claim code is in fact printed in blue, so if your color inks are low or empty it will not show up.
    I noticed there are 2 version of the 6500A, I will go under the assumption that you do not have the 'Plus' version since you didn't specify this, shouldn't be a big discrepancy either way (let me know if I am wrong).
    Viewing your ink levels is covered here, your Cyan ink cartridge could be empty : http://goo.gl/RjIhbp
    You can still find the claim code on the front panel of your printer without color ink. Go back to web services on your printers display and it will show your "*@hpeprint.com" email address. The prefix before the "@" is in fact your code.
    Also note that your code has most likely expired, which happens after 24 hours of being generated. Not a big deal. If your code has expired you will have to reset the web services in your printer, this will generate a new printer code. You can do this easily from the front panel of your printer.
    Follow this link and expand the section “What if I lose my printer code before registering?” under “Frequently asked questions (FAQs)”
    http://goo.gl/0WUyIe
    (*a note on step 4, some firmware updates may have simplified this entire step to be simply “remove web services”)
    After enabling the web services again the printer code area will still be blank if you are out of cyan ink.
    Regardless the new code will display on the front panel (under web services).
    I hope this gets you going with ePrint. Let me know if you are having issues printing in color beyond this, or if you are still experiencing difficulties with ePrint.

  • Set default printer in free Reader app for Windows 8?

    Is it possible to set a default printer for the free Reader app?  We're new to Windows 8.  We set our HP as the default printer in the windows control panel, and the setting works for our other programs like word and IE, but the Reader app forces us to choose the HP printer every time we try to print a doc.  We have to click the More options and choose the printer from the list.  OneNote and the MS Document writer come up first in the list, and we don't use either of these.

    Photoshop CS4 uses an old (introduced in Win16?) printing API that limits the printer name length to 30 or 31 characters. With your printer name, that gets you halfway into "Series" and anything past that will be ignored.
    The simple solution is to rename your printer to something shorter. Go into the control panel, printers and faxes, and right-click on the printer and choose "Rename" and rename the printer. That should resolve the problem.

  • How do I set the default print margins for ALL printers in mozilla.cfg

    How do I set the default print margins for ALL printers in mozilla.cfg, even ones that are not yet installed / connected to the computer?
    I'm trying to install firefox with MDT and apply certain print options, but the printers themselves are connected at a later stage so the print.printer_myprinterhere cannot be used.

    Best answer I could find: [https://mike.kaply.com/2012/03/16/customizing-firefox-autoconfig-files/#comment-132668]
    If you can figure out how to add the printer name, this can be used to lock the margins.

  • When I open up an e-mail attachment a box pops up PRINT TO FILE below that line OUTPUT FILE NAME with an empty line for the file name vs. simply going to my default printer?

    when I open up an e-mail attachment a box pops up PRINT TO FILE below that line OUTPUT FILE NAME with an empty line for the file name vs. simply going to my default printer?

    Make sure that '''''Print to File''''' isn't selected in the native print dialog box ''(see screenshot below)'' middle-right, and make sure your Printer is selected at the top of that dialog box.
    ''I'm a little confused why an email attachment would need to go directly to the printer, but that's what you asked about.''

  • PDF as default selection for Select printing cotrol (for Web)

    Hi
    Can someone point me to righ direction? What we are trying to do is, in Infoview, set PDF as default selection for "Select printing Control (for Web)", so that each user does not have to do this in preferences in infoview.
    Is it possible to do so? If yes, how?
    Thank you
    Regards
    IMS

    Take a look for a .vbs sample that synchs the ADMINISTRATOR preferences to all users on the BOE platform.
    You can schedule this as a PROGRAM OBJECT in InfoView so that it runs on a regular schedule to apply the change to new users.

  • Numeric value in words (for Cheque printing)

    Hi All,
    To convert numeric value in words (for Cheque printing), I created two functions in Forms and reports 6i.
    1) FUNCTION Spell (val number) RETURN CHAR IS
    sp varchar2(100);
    BEGIN
    if val > 0 then
         return(initcap(to_char(to_date(val, 'SSSSS'), 'SSSSSSP')));
    else
         return('');
    end if;
    END;
    2) function SPELLED_AMOUNTFormula return Char is
    cents number;
    c_str varchar2(80);
    val number;
    begin
    val := :p_instr_amt;
    cents := (val mod 1) * 100;
    if cents > 0 then --creates string for cents
    c_str := ' and ' || spell(TO_CHAR(cents)) || ' fils Only';
    else
    c_str := ' Only';
    end if;
    if val < 1000 and val > 1 then
    return (initcap(spell(floor(val))) || c_str);
    elsif val > 1000 then
    return(initcap(spell(floor(val/1000))) || ' Thousand ' ||
    spell(floor(val mod 1000)) || c_str);
    else
    return('Zero'||c_str);
    end if;
    end;
    This convert value up to thousands. How to convert the value more than 1 lac. please configure this code.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    To spell integers as high as 5,373,484, use 'Jsp' instead of 'ssssssp'.
    TO_CHAR ( TO_DATE ( n     -- n = integer to be spelled
                  , 'J'
         , 'Jsp'          -- Case-sensitive
         )5373484 is the Julian date of December 31, 9999, the latest DATE value in Oracle. In Oracle 10.2, you can actually spell numbers a little bit higher using the expression above, but I'm not sure why, and I wouldn't count on being able to do so in future versions.
    There's no need for INITCAP here. If the 2nd argument to TO_CHAR is initcapped (as above), then the output will be, too.
    To spell even larger numbers, see this page by Tom Kyte, which also includes languages other than English, and lakh-crore-arab-kharab wording.

  • How to set the default values for print options

    Hi all,
    We can set the default value for print options, just like Logical destination、numbers of messages、print immediately and so on, so where we should to maintain these default?

    Hi Sandy,
    This can be done by an abaper by making changes in the driver program. The Driver program feeds all the data which u have mentioned for printing.
    if the driver program is standard. copy to an z type and make modification on printer settings on the driver program code.
    this will surely solve the issue.

  • I want to set default printer settings to be used only for a specific type of application, certain documents. All other print jobs should use a different default setting for the printer.

    I am printing a specific document from a web based application. This document need to be printed in landscape. So I would like to set the default settings for this specific printer to landscape. But for all other printers it should be portrait. But this does not seem to work. The browser picks the settings from the standard/default printer and uses this for all print jobs.

  • Setting default printer for Black and White

    I have no problem setting up my printer to print black and white only using my pc, but am having difficulty setting the default for the printer on my OSX 10.5.2. I've read the posts and can't locate where this setting is done. I even removed the printer and tried readding it without any success. So, how do I set my HP Officejet to print in black and white as a default and allow me to print in color when needed?

    You could use the built-in presets facility to make a b&w setting and a color setting. Then when you print, you simply select the appropriate preset. Also, the last preset that you use will be the default next time you print, so this can also help speed up your printing.
    Reply if you need instructions for creating presets.
    One final point. Some applications, such as MS Office, have a 'Print One Copy' printer icon in the toolbar. When you use this shortcut, the print dialog is not opened - the file simply prints. For these types of application, the preset is not used so that job will print in color if that is the default printer function. But you can change the toolbar icon function so that it opens the print dialog instead of just printing. Again, if you need instruction then please reply.

  • Default Printer setting for 2600n causing spinning flashing cirlce cursor in MS Word 2007

    Printer drivers for HP2600n are causing spinning and blinking curor in MS Word 2007.  I couldn't print in IE9 due to script errors.  HP Help said to uninstall and reinstall printer.  After reinstalling, I can print in IE9, but now MSWord 2007 has a blinking, spinning, flashing circle on top of the curor.  It's maddening and I can't edit.  I've run all the "fixes" for MS and Word to no avail.
    I've scoured the web to find it's the "default printer" causing the problems.  I had to delect the HP as default, and then the spinning circle goes away.   But... when I manually select the HP to print within a Word doc, it re-activites the crazy cursor and I must close the doc.
    I'm using 32bit Vista, Windows Office 2007, IE9, HP 2600n
    Do you have a fix or a patch?  Many thanks to a kind person for a solution!

  • Mass-Update Default Print Properties for Spool Authorization (S_SPO_ACT)

    Dear Experts
    To protect HR spool requests it is possible to use the print-authorization in combination with the authorization object S_SPO_ACT.
    In case a HR user prints a form the the print-popup will default the user-parameter SAU for print-authorization. When printed like this the value of the SAU-parameter will be added to the spool request.
    In case the HR user prints a ABAP-list the value of the user-parameter SAU is not defaulted in the print popup. Instead seperatly saved defaults print properties (see print popup -> properties) are taken.
    How can I mass-change these default print properties? How can I set these default print properties for other users?
    Thanks in advance

    Please note that with SAP BASIS release later than 620, parameter id 'SAU' is either no longer used or only used in a limit fashion. The default spool authorization is now stored in cluster 'UV' instead of at 'USR05' / parid 'SAU' .
    If your users already have 'SAU' parameter populated with proper spool authorization, SAP has an ABAP util 'RSTRANSPARAMSAU' to store this in the cluster. Once you run this util, default spool authorization will
    be populated properly each time spool files are created.
