Default reversal period in GL

Hi, i have a doubt.
I need to have a default period when i create a reversal batch. I know in release 11i there is an automatic method to submit reversal journal by category, but the user want to select a batch to reverse and the new reversal journal would be in the next period (open or future open).
I hope anyone can help me.
Thanks & Regards

Not sure what your doubt is.
When you reverse a journal using the buttons, the default list is the list of future enterable or open periods.

  • How to control the default Reverse Date at VL09

    Hello,
    At VL09 (reverse goods movement) screen, the default Reverse Date is today.
    If users want to modify the Reverse Date,
    users have to select a line, click on define date button and input date into the local date field at pop-up screen.
    I want the default Reverse Date at VL09 screen to be the same as the Actual GI date of delivery.
    Please tell me how.
    Thank you.

    1. There is no standard BADI and userexit which can fulfill your requirement.
    2. You can try to do the modification in RVV50L09.
    Before
    "CALL FUNCTION 'WS_REVERSE_GOODS_ISSUE'"
    You can add  "Move XLIKPUKWA-wadat_ist to  XLIKPUKWA-STDAT. "

  • Modify view of Default timecard periods view in OTL to sort list of periods

    Hi,
    Can someone guide me if there is any way to modify default timecard periods view in OTL. We intend to sort the list of timecard periods in OTL in order to show old non sumbitted timecard periods as default rather than based on system date.
    I have checked preferences->System that allow edits but that is not helpful in what we want to achieve.
    Thanks,

    These are the tabs that are displayed and the ones it gives me options for.
    There are many improvements needed for Bridge and the default metadata workspace is certainly one of them. In fact, in its current state it is next to useless and no help at all. But you are right, it should provide you with at least the description field but it does not. Oddly enough, the only way to achieve this is using the bottom right icons in the Bridge window. You see three of them, thumbs, large thumb with list and small thumbs with list. Currently you have selected the default small thumbs with list, if you use the middle one (large thumbs with list) and fiddle around with the slider for the size of the thumbs the description field magically appears in view but you are not able to put it in a separate column.
    So the find option is still your best option I'm afraid...
    You can also try to create your own workspace. Start dragging the borders to change the size of the panels to your comfort so you have a good overview of the panels you want to have in view.
    You can also change the order and place of panels in multiple rows but you are limited to max three columns. Place the cursor on a panel tab and start dragging it to a new location. A single blue line means either between a row or a column, a surrounded blue line means add as a tab in same location. You also can drag the tabs for your custom order.
    Now with the content panel in reasonable size use the icon bottom right for large thumbs and list view and use the slider for correct position of the description field. Save it as a new workspace (important to retrieve it when messed up). You can also have multiple windows in Bridge (at least on a Mac, you seem to be on Windows) and use one for list view and another for find results. etc. etc.

  • Default Reporting Period

    Hie,
    Is there a way of setting a default reporting period for a user in SAP B1 at a particular given time.
    Thanks.

    The report parameters are always saved from your last report.  If you need one set frequently, you probably need to switch the parameter not as often.  That may help.

  • Default time period

    It appears that the default "time period" whenever a new event is made is 1 hour. I would prefer 15 or 30 minutes, I can change to this manually , however I wish to make it my default. Any help please.
    thank you,
    John

    Hi Francois,
    Yes it is definitely possible to change the time-period as per your choice. However, the format (HH:MM:SS) must be followed.
    In order to change the default time period, you need to go to the same page(Message monitoring).
    There do the following,
    1. From the drop down list for Start/End Date, select "Free Entry"
    2. Change From Time as per your wish (format HH:MM:SS)
    3. Change To Time as per your wish (format HH:MM:SS)
    And now you are ready to search based on this criteria. If you want to save this filter, you may click on "Save Filter" button available on the same page.
    I hope this helps.

    you can load that swf into another swf and adjust the timeout duration in the main swf.

  • ESS Workplace - Change Default Selection Period

    Hi All,
    We are on 4.6C, using Workplace 2.1.1 on ESS.
    Through ESS, we want to display all items under "SAP Office -> Outbox -> Started Workflows" (and also "Work Items Executed by Me").
    The default seems to be 30days.
    Our SAP Office (Workplace) on ESS does not have any buttons or toolbar options for users to change the "Selection Period".
    My question: Where is this default period set? How can I change it for ESS (eg to be 90 days instead of 30days)?
    Is there a setting in the IMG (SPRO)?
    Please, I really hope you can help.

    Hi Tom,
    unfortunatelly this function is hard coded in BWSP, there is no option to change the date in customizing or somewhere else, only in coding:
           l_seldate = sy-datum - 30.
                CALL FUNCTION 'SWI_OUTBOX_CREATE'
                     EXPORTING
                          seldate      = l_seldate
                          folrg        = w1_fol
                     TABLES
                          worklist     = worklist
                  STATUSFILTER =
                     EXCEPTIONS
                          READ_FAILED  = 1
                          OTHERS       = 2
    The problem that BWSP is not developed in the future, what you can do is to change the standard... SAP does not recommend to do thatof course.
    I hope I could help you!

  • Default Probation Period on New Employee only

    Hi,
    In the HR Self-Service's Change in Position Page, the probation period is defaulted when the job position has been changed. I only want to have it defaulted when it's a new employee. How can I do this??
    Oracle Version I'm using is 11i
    Thanks for your help,
    N

    Hi,
    Thanks everyone for their input. I am now extending the CO for this as suggested by Ajay.
    I have found that in AssignmentCO, there's a function called setPositionDefaultValues function that defaults the probation period etc. However, when I extended this controller, it's still defaulting the probation period fields. Can somebody check what's wrong with my controller? I have a feeling that my super.processRequest is messing up my new setPositionDefaultValues function that has the probation period part commented.

  • How to set the Reverse date to be the same as the Actual GI date by default

    Hello,
    On VL09 (reverse goods movement) screen, default reversal date is the system date.
    Users have to select the line, click on define date button and enter the correct cancellation date to the local date field on the pop-up.
    I want the reversal date on VL09 screen to be the same as the Actual GI date by default.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    I checked the program.
    Check in routine FORM insert_data_for_reversal  --->  IF Condition (( xlikpukwa-wbstk EQ charc AND xlikpukwa-vbtyp CA vbtyp_lief ) OR  ( xlikpukwa-wbstk CA 'BC'  AND xlikpukwa-vbtyp CA vbtyp_liav ). ---> 2 performs are there one with '01' and other with '02' as actual parameters.
    In your case '01' is passing to the routine. if you try to pass '02' u can achive your requirement.
    For testing in debug mode pass FIELDS-FIELD_ATTR = '02' for field name DATLO. then you can see the output.
    Try to handle this problem using Enhancement Operations.
    Hope this helps you.

  • How to retrieve unchecked default remind value in exchange web service

    I can get the default remind minutes value from user configuration dictionary property ('piRemindDefault'). How do I get the value from EWS if I uncheck the Default reminder checkbox in outlook calendar option. Thanks.
    The 'piRemindDefault' properity always return value even I unchecked the 'Default Reminders:' checkbox in calendar option.

    The piRemindDefault is just the default reminder period (which is 15 minutes by default) so even when you untick reminders its not going to change the value. You looking at the Calendar Config object to get the reminders option you need to look at the OWA.UserOptions
    config object in the root of Mailbox eg
    FolderId RootFolderi = new FolderId(WellKnownFolderName.Root, "[email protected]");
    UserConfiguration usConfig = UserConfiguration.Bind(service, "OWA.UserOptions", RootFolderi, UserConfigurationProperties.All);
    if (usConfig.Dictionary.ContainsKey("enablereminders"))
    Console.WriteLine(usConfig.Dictionary["enablereminders"]);

  • Reversal of Clearing document-AR

    Hi Experts,
    I have following questions :-
    1) Upon reversal of clearing document, does the original clearing document becomes void/null??
    2) Does the clearing report fetch the original clearing document that was reversed?
    3) Can somebody provide any SAP source for getting the documentation on the above issues?
    Appreciate an early reply.
    Thanks,
    Sundar

    Hi,
    In SAP we can Reverse any document in 2 ways, Normal Reversal and Negative Reversal.
    Normal Reversal means, rectification entry will be passed on the opposite side.
    Negative Reversal means, rectification entry will be passed on the same side with - (minus) symbol.
    Pre-requisite is Reversal Reasons will be created.
    Any document you can reverse using T Code: FB08
    Cleared documents can be reversed using T Code: FBRA
    Automatic Payments Documents can be reversed using T Code: FCH8
    Default Reversal Documents Document Type is AB.
    If you created your own Document Type for reversal documents you can get a report as you required.
    Thanks
    Chandra
