Default screen variant for a user in T.Code - FB60

IH01 default screen variant for all users

Hi,
I want location hierarchy, equipment installed and BOM explosion checked in the transaction IH01 for all users. I can do this through a screen variant but the user will have to choose it every time he enters this transaction. Is there a way that the above fields default as checked everything a user enters the t-code? I looked for it in SPRO and could not find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

if the variant you have created is the only one available then it will display to all the user,but the if some other variant is there with user name then it will be displayed for the user logged on .
only thing is don't authorize the user to create the variant
from SAP help:
Each user can also create their own selection screen. The selection screen defined by you is only then proposed by the system, if no individual selection screen has been defined for the user under their user name.
If you want to define an individual selection screen for each user, and the user-specific selection screen should be proposed automatically when the report is called up, the name of the report variant must begin with U_USERNAME.
Maintenance of selection variants
When you execute the function, you reach the initial screen with all the selection fields. There you can define the standard selection screen. This selection screen is then always proposed if no individual selection screen has been defined for the user under the name U_USERNAME.

To assign Screen Variant for VL02N to respective user.

Hi Experts,
I have created one Screen Variant for TCode VL02N. It is very well working if executing with SHD0.
Now, I want that, if any particular user say XYZ executes VL02N, then VL02N should be executed with the variant I created, for that user.
Plz. tell me what to do for this....any authorization object needs to create or is there any other way out.

Am not sure whether you can create user-group from SHD0.
just try to use these exit and do small code just like this:

Selection screen variant for report

Hi,
Can we restrict the selection screen variants for reports by user? For example my report is ZREPORT. Different users can save variants for the report. When they choose a variant for executing the report, they would like to see only the variants they created.
By default SAP lists all variants created (irrespective of who created).

Hi,
If you want the other users doesn't want to execute (Not see) other variant..you can check if that user has created the variant in the AT SELECTION-SCREEN event..
By checking VARI-VARIANT against the table VARID and check if sy-uname <> VARID-ENAME.

Default a Variant to all Users

Hi Gurus,
Requirement: My company is setting up the new DC (Distribution centre). Users use transaction WA08 to create PO based on allocation table. Now we want to create separate PO for DC. There is a check box already available (WA08>Vendor Purchase Order Tab>Generate Separate PO for each (Distribution Centre).
Now we want to tick this check box for each and every user. Please note that we do not want to create a Z transaction for this purpose.
I think there is a way, where we can set a default variant and assigne that to each users so that when any user use transaction WA08, he doesn't need to tick the check box.
It would be a great help if some one please let me know the process to do that.

Thanks for your response.
I tried to first use this transaction and selected transaction variant tab, enter the name as ZWA08 and press the create
button which takes me to the wa08 screen where i could tick the required field and saved it.
This also generated a default screen variant like ZWA08_0281.
I also created a variant group ZVARGRP and assigned my user id to it.
When i click on the transaction button on this screen it give me message "Variant group ZVARGRP is not used in transactions".
Chandra, it would be a great help if you can kindly provide me to follow the steps as i am not able to do it.
May be i am not doing it in a proper sequence.
Please also let me know if i need to assign var group for each and every user one by one or is there a way to do it in one go.

Set default mouse speed for guest user?

Anyone know how, where to set a default mouse speed for all users. I have an iMac running Maverick. I set my personal mouse speed near the highest. The default speed is the same slow pace for the guest profile and I would like to change and KEEP it a little faster. Currently when I log out of guest account, all settings, files, etc are deleted. I am admin so ... anyone? Help? Something akin to the windows registry? I'm a newbie to Mac OS X, but learn quick.

Screen variants for Header details info

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement to use Screen variants for the header related details to default values in FB50 and use Account assignment template for line item related details.
We can create the screen variants in FB50 by right click on "screen variants for item" folder and select Create Screen variants in Screen variants. Even if i follow the alternate path to create screen variants in SHD0, and add it in the Tree of FB50, i still am not able to get the header details after choosing the created screen variant.
Can someone help me to achieve defaulting the header information in FB50 using screen variant and tell me how can we use account assignment template after defaulting the header data?

Yes, There are ways to disable these links. Since, You are in SRM40 (Think There is SRM40/EBP(SRM Server 50)only), you should be able to use BADU BBP_SC_MODIFY_UI to hide them which is simple.
Regarding Ship-to/Performance Location, Use Doc Change BADI to read storage location address and pass it onto Ship-to/Performance Location. We have done many times in the past.
SAP standard screen variants for the Shopping view is very limited. But, you can develop you own screen variants in SHDO and use Screen Variant BADI to trigger your customs. We had used this and is pretty good. No hassle of HTML changes / maintaining them every upgrade.

How to create transaction or screen variant for custom tcode in module pool

I have one module pool program with custome tcode ,i want to create transaction or screen variant for this tcode.Next time when we run this tcode we need a variant for this tcode.
I tried by using of SHD0 but it is working only for standred tcodes.Is there any possibilty please help me.

Hi,
you created a Custom Tcode for ur module pool Pgm..if u execute the Tcode in the output screen give the input details and press Save Option then variant will be created. Then you can use that variant.
otherwise.. while creating a Tcode..
select an option for Tcode type Tranasction With variant ..there u will provide the variant for ur Tcode ( which is already created ).

Issue in Creating a screen variant for FV50 through SHD0

Hi,
I need to create a Screen variant for FV50 to hide the post button through the Transaction SHD0, It was working fine and the function keys BU and BS i disabled in the variant, but the problem is when i disabled the Function keys from FV50 it is not allowing me to post the transaction in FBV0 also. I found that T code FV50 is using the program :SAPMF05A and FBV0 is using : SAPMF05V.
Is there any way to overcome the issue through the transaction SHD0 ?

To Create aVariant You can use Tcode : SHD0.
Provide the tocde and clik on Screen variant and create...

How to configure default parental settings for all users (10.7)?

I've made a silent installation of iTunes using MSI files and it works well.
I need to enable parental controls and configure it. Users must be preventing of changing these settings.
At the end of the iTunes installation I automatically created registry keys :

According to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2102 it is the procedure to set default parental settings for all users and to lock these settings.
When iTunes is first launched, parental settings are not set nor locked.
I use iTunes 64 bits on Windows 7 64 bits.
Where is the mistake?

How to set different default interactive reports for different user groups?

I'm probably overlooking an obvious solution, but how do I set different default interactive report for different user groups?
For the same interactive report, I want one set of users to see a default where the default filter is based on column X. However, another group of users doesn't have authorization to see that column so I need to set the default filter to something else for them.

You can set a filter on a report in a URL - would that help? I think with apex 4.x you can also link to a saved default report or alternative report...

BOL and packing list trigger the activity based on the user profile . So we need the history of the default printers maintained for a user to analyze there issues.

If you want to check activity of perticular user for the problems then you can use trace on for particular user only for the time period. Please be careful trace on is not recommended by SAP.

Screen Variant for ENjoy Transaction

Hi all,
I want to create screen variant for enjoy transaction, i.e fb60. Through the guide in another threads, I click on the square icon, above the scroll bar on the table control (used for entering document line items). When I create new variant, hide some columns and save this screen variant, everything is not changed. How to apply this screen variant to this transaction ?
I also use function "Add screen variant" when right click on this screen, but nothing changes.

That little button you mention (above the scroll bars) will not create screen variants for this transaction.
You have to use transaction SHD0 (also accessible by pressing Ctrl+F4 once you are inside FB60).
Search inside http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/data/pdf/BCDWBCEX/BCDWBCEX.pdf for the keywords SHD0 more info on usage, etc. if you need help with SHD0.

Changing the default keyboard language for all users via command line

I have about 250 computers, that I set the wrong default language on.
I am hoping someone here can help me. I have 3 keyboard languages installed in my labs,
En-English (United States)
Fr-French (Canada)
En-English (Canada)
I'd like to make the Fr-French (Canada) the default keyboard language for all users that login I have tried the following xml but it's not working. I do not see the problem any help would be appreciated.

For FB60
A) For the Header Data.
1. Go to FB60.
2. Click on Edit in the Top Header Bar.
3. Click on Screen Variant & then Click on Create Screen Variant.
4. Create your own variant.
B) For the Line items
1. In the Line item box on the Top Right corner there is a configuration button , click on this button. The Table setting window will open.
2. Go to Maintain Variant box.
3. Enter the Variant Name here.
4. Click on Create.
Similarly you can do for FB50 & FB70.
