Default Screensaver Picture Speed

I was watching the default Apple TV screensaver one day, as I usually do for a couple of hours a day, and had a crazy realization:
All the pictures are moving up at the same speed! It only looks like the ones further away are moving slower and the closer pictures are moving faster because of the depth perception - the camera is so close to the closer pictures that they pass by really quick while the ones further back go very slow.
Is this true or did I just make this up? Take a look and decide for yourself.

Ok found the JAVA Screen Saver Default config file thanks to the manpage on manpage screensaver or manpage xscreensaver. Although I change by CDE screensaver config file the screensaver is not activating. I think the problem is my screensaver executeable, not the settings. Does anyone know when users are in CDE using Solaris 10 how they can launch the ScreenSaver not the XLock? I can not seem to find anything on how to lauch the Screensaver in CDE Mode.

After ugrading to Mountain LIon 10.8.4 on my 2010 1.4 GHz Macbook air and now all of my default user pictures are missing.
I found a similar situation on the net in which the guy says to do this: "logged in as root and trashed the old user icon images file the copied the folder froma ML factory disk image". I have no idea what any of that means or if is for real as an answer or just a way to screw up my computer even more. I need help, and really basic simple instructions like your talking to some one who barely know how to turn on a computer. I would be really grateful to anyone who will help me. Thank you for your time.

I found a simple solution that worked on my Macbook Air running 10.8.4 which was missing all the User pictures when I tried to access them as the computer administrator even through they wer all there in the User Pictures folder in the Library.
I went into the Library Folder and trashed the "User Pictures" Folder.
I then copied the User Pictures folder from my Macbook Pro (also running 10.8.4) that did not have this issue and installed in on the Macbook Air in place of the User Pictures folder I had trashed. Then it all worked fine.

You need to try and explain your problem again. I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to describe the problem as. What do you mean you defaulted pictures to open phone? What default are you referring to here?
You can import pictures from the Camera Roll of the iPhone to the computer, and you can sync pictures from the computer to the iPhone using iTunes, but I don't know what you mean when you say defaulted pictures.

Restoring the default screensaver.gif? (7373)

This is a fairly trivial problem, really, but it's irritating me and I can't see any good reason for it. I just got a Nokia 7373 today, and decided to experiment with some of the different installed screensavers. I played around with the various clocks and images, but decided I wanted to go back to the default 'screensaver.gif'. However, I can't find it in any of the folders - it isn't in the Gallery where I expected it to be, and I'm not sure where else on the phone it might be hiding. Am I just not looking in the right place, or does the screensaver effectively delete itself when you change it to something other than the default? Is there a way I can retrieve it or re-download it?

No problem, That's what i was trying to figure out too,
It seemed that every type of them i applied had a screensaver attached to it that you could not access or save seperately.

Default Screensaver SessionTimeout Prompted Password for Java not CDE

I managed to set the default screensaver timeout feature for my Solairs 10 users who prefer the CDE login look and feel however, those who wish to use Java login look and feel, how so I set the default screensaver timeout feature so when my users are prompted for a password after 10 minutes of inactivity?

Cannot start mac book air. Screen shows only program bar and screensaver picture

I cannot open my MacBookAir. The screen is black or shows only the screensaver picture and the program bar at the bottom of the screen. Icons do not react on clicks.

From your post I see that your Mac is unresponsive. To try and fix this issue, I'd like you to please restart your computer.
Restart
Do any of the following:
Choose Apple menu > Restart.
Hold down the power button until you see the restart, sleep, or shut down dialog, then click Restart, or press R.
If the pointer freezes on the screen or your Mac becomes unresponsive, press Control-Command (⌘)-Power button to force a restart.
Important: If you force a restart, you may lose unsaved changes in open documents.
If you don’t want the app windows you currently have open to reopen when you restart your Mac and sign in, deselect “Reopen windows when logging back in.”

Why are screensaver pictures so large

When I select picture for screensaver for some reason they get inlarged.

You would have to use code in userChrome.css instead to keep the tabs at their width if you uninstall the extension.
Add code to the userChrome.css file below the default @namespace line.

E60 and too small font in default screensaver

is there any way to change fonts bigger in this model? or is there some screensaver with bigger font available?

Using "regedit" I was able to change the font size larger for use with the Palm Desktop software.
Run "regedit" and export (save) a backup copy for safety
   File > Export
Search for "FontSmall"
   Edit > Find > Find what > FontSmall
Click on FontSizeGeneral and change the "Value data" to 16
Exit "regedit"
Run Palm Desktop software and enjoy the new legible font size!
Notes:
1) The location of the Palm Desktop software on my system using "regedit" is:
        HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\Core
        * Your location of the Palm Desktop software may differ.
2) I tested this on monitors using resolutions of 1280 x 1024 and 1024 x 768
        The font size is noticeably readable and much, much better
3) You may also change the font family from the default (Arial) to another, such as Verdana, etc.
        FontCard   (Changes the font family in the side panels)
        FontGeneral   (Changes the font family for most of the program fonts)
4) Operating System: Windows XP Pro
        Palm Desktop v4.1.4

Display current screensaver picture in finder?

I have the screensaver set up to display all my photos (about 25,000). Now and then I see a picture and would be glad to find it immediately in the finder. Is there a key command for that, similar to the keycommands for the RSS screensaver?

Screensaver picture slide show?

is there a way to view pictures while the screensaver is running, such as arrow keys like the windows system allows. This is a real nice feature to look at pictures again after they've appeared?

i haven't played with front row much at all, i will look into it thanks. is there a way to set this as the automatic screensaver? I already have the photo album set up as this.....just sometimes would be nice to review a picture before is disappears or after if you know what i mean.

I did some investigating, since my last post. Here are my results.
You can open the Screen Savers folder
Control click on one, say Cosmos
Select Show Package Contents
Open Contents folder
Open Resources folder
The window that opens, will have the 10 jpg files that comprise the Cosmos slide sow/screen saver
It seems they can't be duplicated from within that folder though.
But if you open them in Preview, they can be exported, which will make a copy.
Using the copies, you could create your own slide show.
If you need help with that, let me know.

Screensaver picture rotation issue

Hi everybody!
I have recently set up one of these slideshow screensavers that come by default on Mac OS X. I want it to show pictures from my iPhoto library, but for some unknown reason, it shows them rotated either 90 degrees right or left, but when I check the orientation on iPhoto, all the pictures are up the right way. I have tried everything I know and I haven't solved it so far... Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

How can i lock screensaver picture

I've just switched to a new (well, I bought it in 2013) Mac and am having trouble getting it to use the screensaver and desktop display I want. On my old Mac, it was easy; in System Preferences, I just chose the picture I wanted. On the new Macbook, I seem to have to choose a "Folder" instead of a single picture. Even so, each time I reboot, the Mac system's own picture loads as the screensaver and desktop, instead of my picture.
It's annoying! I want the computer to feel like mine, with my own display. Any tips on how to get it to do what I want? Thanks.

Welcome to the Support Communities! What version of the operating system are you currently using? The article below for Yosemite explains how to select a single image as your desktop picture.
OS X Yosemite: Give your desktop a custom look
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Desktop & Screen Saver, then click Desktop.
Open the Desktop pane for me
Find the picture you want to use:
Use your own picture: Select a location below iPhoto. You can also select Pictures below Folders, if the image you want is in your Pictures folder.
If your image is in another folder, click Add , navigate to and select the folder, then click Choose.
Click the picture you want on the right.
