Default setting saving files as sRGB

How do I default saving files as sRGB instead of Adobe RGB? Currently I have to convert to sRGB and then save. I am using photoshop CS5.

How are you opening your images?  Through Camera Raw?  If so, you may want to change the color space the images are opened in using the link at the bottom-center of the Camera Raw dialog.

  • Change default setting for files...

    Is there a way to change the default setting for raster effects to 300ppi instead of 72ppi? And is there also a way to have "Align New Objects to Pixel Grid" unchecked by default? I do realize I can change all of these settings either when I create a file or after, but I would like to have them be my defaults. I'm running Illustrator CC on Windows 7. Thanks!

  • How can you change default persmissions saving files

    Mac OS 10.5.8, intel based Mac Pro
    When I save a file it has the permissions RW RW R.  There is another 10.5.8 non-intel Mac Pro then when they save a file to the destop, it is RW R R.  How do you change the default saving permissions?  I want it always to be RW RW W.

    I found it!

    you need to create /etc/launchd-user.conf at noted in the URl above with umask 022 in it.
    BDAqua - Thanks for the reply.  After I created the file and logged out/ back in, I had to change the permissions on the folder also.

  • V10 Default Settings For File saving

    Hello, Could someone please tell me the default setting for file saving options in preferences for Elements V10 ?
    Thank you.

    If you reset the Preferences, all preferences will be set to their defaults:  Hold down your Ctrl+Alt+Shift keys when launching the Editor and answer "Yes" to the prompt asking if you want to delete the Preferences.  They will be re-built.

  • Can I programmatically force saving an XLTM template to save as an XLSM file in Excel 2010 without defaulting all Excel file types?

    I created an Excel template which includes VB and macros as an EXCEL.XLTM template file (I used a template file to keep users from overwriting the sample template file), but I have noticed that when users save the template, Excel 2010 defaults to saving
    the new file as a XLSX file (removing all the macros).
    I know you can set Excel 2010 to always save as a certain format, but I really would prefer not forcing all Excel files to be macro enabled for the user
    Is there a way to default the Save type to XLSM for this template only?  Like some code that I could put in that when the users saves, it saves as a macro enabled XLSM type only for this template file?
    My users aren't exactly Excel savvy, so I wanted to make it as simple as possible for them.
    Thanks!

    Hi Alan,
    >> Is there a way to default the Save type to XLSM for this template only?  Like some code that I could put in that when the users saves, it saves as a macro enabled XLSM type only for this template file?
    In my option, you could achieve this by adding Application.GetSaveAsFilename Method to the workbook BeforeSave event. Some key code like below:
    Private Sub Workbook_BeforeSave(ByVal SaveAsUI As Boolean, Cancel As Boolean)
    Dim FileNameVal As String
    If SaveAsUI Then
    FileNameVal = Application.GetSaveAsFilename(, "Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook (*.xlsm), *.xlsm")
    Cancel = True
    If FileNameVal = "False" Then 'User pressed cancel
    Exit Sub
    End If
    ThisWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:=FileNameVal & ".xlsm", FileFormat:=xlOpenXMLWorkbookMacroEnabled
    Application.EnableEvents = True
    End If
    End Sub
    But there is a limitation of this workaround, in this workaround, the save as will only support the macro enabled type, other save as types like "xlsx" will be ignored.
    For more information about Application.GetSaveAsFilename Method (Excel), you could turn to the link below:

  • How do I set the default folder for file - open file... ?

    When I save a file, photo, etc., the default folder for OPENING a file becomes the last folder I SAVED to - even after closing and reopening Firefox. Is there a way to maintain the same default folder for opening files?
    Thanks.

  • I have been infected by trove adware, I was able to remove it, but I couldn't get default setting of safari and keeping bookmarks, saved passwords, ..etc

    I have been infected by trove adware, I was able to remove it, but I couldn't get default setting of safari and keeping bookmarks, saved passwords, ..etc

    There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
    You may have installed the "Trovi," "Conduit," or "SearchProtect" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
    Back up all data before making any changes.
    Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove these files in the same way:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/searchplugins/MyBrand.xml
    ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/External Extensions/fjadmdmahkpbhgbmmkiiaanlnlekelmn.json
    ~/Library/Application Support/Mozilla/Extensions/{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}/[email protected]
    One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
    If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
    Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
    "SearchProtect" may be distributed along with two other applications: "MacKeeper," which is a scam, and "ZipCloud," which, if not actually a scam, has a dubious reputation. Ask if you need instructions to remove those items.
    In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
    Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
              Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
    or
              Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
    if it's not already checked.

  • How do I set my older version of Pages as the default when opening files?

    I currently have two versions (Pages '08 3.0.3 and Pages '09 4.2) on my computer. I am finding that when others send me a document created in the older version of Pages, when I open it, it converts it to the newer version. If I make changes and send it back, that same person with only the older version cannot open the file. I know I can duplicate the file, and save a copy as the Pages '08 version when sending the file back, but I'd like to skip this step. Remembering to control click each new file to choose which version I want to open the file in seems like an extra, unecessary step as well. I simply want the files sent to me to open in the older version, so I don't need to go through these extra steps each time. Anyone have any suggestions or tips for me? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    I do try to keep Pages 08 open on my computer, but I sometimes find that my documents will still convert to the 09 version upon opening them, even if I don't make any changes or even save the file myself. I also find that I do not get the "save as" option in Pages 09 when it is not a file I created myself. You wouldn't think a basic word processing file would have this much trouble opening in a version that really isn't that much older. I've been doing a lot of copying and pasting into the older version when I send files out. This really makes the 09 version inconvenient to me. If it weren't for all of my files that now require the 09 version to open (because of this default setting everything I open seems to become an 09 version) I'd get rid of this version all together, as it is not compatible for so many other people with whom I work!

  • How to set selected file in FileChooser showSaveDialog to default file name

    Hi,
    How do I set selected file in JavaFX 2.0 FileChooser showSaveDialog, so I can prompt the user with a suggested default file name?
    I am converting a Java Swing application I wrote a few years ago to JavaFX 2.0.
    In the Swing application, I use setSelectedFile() as follows:
    JFileChooser jFileChooser = new JFileChooser();
    jFileChooser.setSelectedFile(new File(backupfile));
    jFileChooser.setCurrentDirectory(new File(outputDirectory));
    FileFilter filter = new FileNameExtensionFilter("Comma Delimited (*.csv)", "csv");
    jFileChooser.addChoosableFileFilter(filter);
    jFileChooser.setFileFilter(filter);
    filter = new FileNameExtensionFilter("XML Document (*.xml)", "xml");
    jFileChooser.addChoosableFileFilter(filter);
    jFileChooser.setAcceptAllFileFilterUsed(false);
    jFileChooser.setDialogTitle("Export File");
    int returnVal = jFileChooser.showDialog(jFrame, "Export");
    This would show a file chooser with the file name text field pre-populated with a default backup file name.
    I can't find an equivalent in JavaFX.
    Also, in the Swing application, I was able to determine which extension filter was selected at run time using getFileFilter().getDescription() as follows:
    String extension = jFileChooser.getFileFilter().getDescription();
    if (extension.equals("XML Document (*.xml)")) { ...
    I can't find an equivalent in JavaFX.
    Thanks,
    Barry

    You can use the open sequence file method on the application manager (then you only need to wire the file path)

  • Default setting for deleting files, default setting for deleting files

    How can I change default value for deleting files from 'Keep file' to 'In waste basket' (sorry this is a translation from the German 'In den Papierkorb') meaning delete file from harddisk definitely.

    Thank you for your quick answer. Yes that's the place I am doing the job. And yes I do get a choice to choose between 'Delete from hard disk' or 'Delete from iTunes only'.
    But the 'Delete from iTunes only' is the default setting. I would like to change the default setting to 'Delete permanently (from hard disk too)'. This would enable me to work much quicker by using keys only (Del + Enter) without touching the mouse to change from 'Delete from iTunes only' to 'Delete permanently'.

  • Save as project - default to saving all files?

    Hi can you make logic default to saving all files when saving as a project or do you have to click copy all everytime you do this? Thanks, Ben

    You only have to make your copy/leave/move choices the first time you 'save as project.' After that, it should take care of your choices without further intervention.

    I'm not sure about Oracle8i Personal Edition. The default username/passwords are:
    scott/tiger
    system/manager
    sys/change_on_install as sysdba
    You could try the database installation discussion forum for more help. If you find out what the password for this dialog is, please post it to this group for the benefit of others.

  • Default setting of ini file entry?

    What, in v2011, is the default setting of the AllowMultipleInstances value of the ini file? I know that it isn't a normally included field in the ini file generated when an exe is built, I'm just wondering what the value is by default? I've added it to the ini file, set to False, on a machine I'm trying to troubleshoot which has a program launch so slow that the operators frequently go back and try and launch it again, which results in two instances, only one of which is correctly running.

    I can concur that this appears to be the case for a simple executable.
    Maybe when the executable loads a large number of VIs before beginning execution it doesn't register itself with whatever service needs to know until it is actually executing, and if the executable is double-clicked again before this point it may be able to launch a second instance.
    This is harder to test without creating a substantial executable.

  • How do I remove Fire Fox as the default setting on my eMac computer. I am unable to open some files I need to open with Fire Fox.

    I receive a newsletter that has information I need. Since I chose Fire Fox as my default setting, I haven't been able to open it. It was so easy making Fire Fox my default, but not so easy to remove it.

    You should at least install the latest Firefox 3.6.28 version for your Mac OS X 10.4 PPC computer instead of the current Firefox 3.6.18 version.
