Default shortcut doubt

I just got a new MBP today. I found that the default shortcut keys are a little strange. For example, the "spotlight search field" is ^space and "search spotlight window" is ^optionspace. Also, the "previous input source" is commandspace and "next source in input menu" is optioncommandspace.
I supposed the "search spotlight" is command space. Am I right?
One more question, can I set custome shortcuts as something like "shiftspace"?

Maybe they changed the shortcuts in Lion, but AFAIK, that's wrong. For Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts, check out

The last one seems the most extensive. (Of course, these are not the only listings; you can find more by googling.)

  • Changing default shortcut in application

    Hi Experts :-)
I have a application, which automatically put a shortcut on both desktop and start menu. All Fine
But - i want this shortcut to be run with a set of parameters  (xxxx.exe /yyyy /ccc)
What is best way to make this?
My first thought was to make a ekstra package containing a .bat which simply overwrite my custom shortcut with the default shortcut on the desktop after deployment.
Is there a better way to do this?
It would be nice if my application could handle this in some way :-)

You can do this by creating simple batch to replace the existing shortcut with new one but if you are aiming this on all computers /Users who ever have got the application installed, i would recommend ed to do this while creating msi package using your own
    tools (install shield etc).
You can use simple vb script to do this  from blog

  • Defaults Roles Doubt - GRC 10.0

    Hi All,
I have a query regarding default roles in GRC. In the role search screen when the user selects a role, there will be a defaults roles column which shows all existing defaults roles for different systems maintained in GRC.
Actually our client requirement is that when a user selects role for ECC only defaults roles defined for ECC should show up. But currently default roles column shows all defaults roles defined in GRC.
Is it possible to achieve our scenario? Anyone came across same issue?
    Regards,
    Sai.

    Dear Sai,
the behaviour is standard as you have defined parameter 2011 as ROLE. To change the output you might need help of an ABAPler.
Alternatively you can change parameter 2012 to REQUEST and then the requestor won't see the default roles as they are added to the request after submission. Only the approvers can see the added default roles.
    Best regards,
    Alessandro

  • Changing default printing shortcuts

I want to change the default printing shortcut.  It is currently set to "General Everyday Printing".  I would like to change it to "Fast/Economical Printng".  When I go to Preferences, Printing Shortcuts tab, and click on "Fast/Economical Printing" there is no option to make this the default shortcut.  When I click on "General Everyday Printing", change the features to resemble Fast & Economical printing, it will only save the new features under a new name, but not as a default.

    Binary Zen,
Thanks, but that only works for the currently selected Printing Shortcut.  Following your instructions for , say, "General everyday Printing", after going back into the Printing Preferences afer saving, if you select another Printing Shortcut (say "Fast/Economical Printing") and then back onto "General everyday Printing", the papaer size reverts to "Letter".
Like most people in the UK, I NEVER use "Leeter" size paper.  Why is there no way to save changes to the default "Printing Shortcuts" in Vista (I believe you can in XP)?  If I pick any of the shortcuts, I have to remember to change the paper size each time.
I have been in lengthy conversations with HP support staff, and the best they can come up with is to use the generic c990 printer driver (which obviously has limited functionality).

  • Shortcuts sporadically reverting to defaults in CS4

I've experienced this a few times. I've change my "place" command to Command+I (i for import). Well, the default behavior of Command+I is Check Spelling. Sometimes when I hit Command+I, the Check Spelling window pops up. Much to my amazement, the place menu still shows Command+I. I guess this makes swiss cheese out of the classic "change the shortcut if you don't like it" argument, eh?
    Example:
level headed AI user: "I think Command+H should be the default shortcut to hide Illustrator like all other Apple software."
AI zealot: "why don't you just change the shortcut and stop whining".
(updated) level headed AI user: "I would if it worked!"
    Muahahahahahahah

  • Refreshing Keyboard Shortcuts to Default in CS1

I am using a computer where someone has adjusted all the default shortcuts to 'off' is there a way to restore the shortcuts?  It looks like a default.txt file is in the Presets folder as well as a default KBSC file.

The first thing to do is Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts .. and check to see if a custom set is in use. If it is, pick the default set from the list. Shortcut sets are XML files, and though ID won't let you edit the default set directly, it's conceivable someone edited the code, but very unlikley.
If there is not a custom set in use, the next step would be to reset the application preferences. This help article covers the procedures in CS4: Adobe InDesign CS4 * Setting preferences The keyboard techniques are the same for CS1, as is the advice in the comments about what to back up. If you choose to do a manual file repalcement rather than the Keyboard method, both preference files will be in the Applcation Data folder in you user profile in Windows, rather than split into two directories. I'm not sure about Mac. In any case the file names are still the same so you should be able to find them using a search.

  • What is the shortcut key to highlight words in adobe reader in macbook pro

what is the shortcut key to highlight words in adobe reader in macbook pro?
Shift + U is not working
how can i change shortcut key?

I don't believe there is a keyboard shortcut available for that feature. But I believe if you click-select the topmost chapter, and Shift-click the bottommost chapter, it should select them all.
Other shortcuts for books can be set up in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts in the Panel Menus product area. There are no default shortcuts in that area.

  • Is there a way to toggle between open sequences? Keyboard Shortcut?

So I usually work form one sequence of selects, and then take pieces of those selects on the source monitor side and edit them into the edit sequence on the program monitor side.
    1. Is there a way to toggle between the two?
    2. Is there a way to toggle between sequences that are open?
Although it is really nice now you can load sequences into the source monitor it would be nice to toggle to that sequence to actaully see the clips in the source monitor sequence, not just have the visuals.
On a basic level I'd like to know if there is a way to toggle between open sequences that way i can select in and outs lift and undo (which copies to clipboard) and then toggle to the second sequence i have and paste it in the correct place.

Short answer: Yes. Try Shift+3. It's the default Shortcut for "Timelines".

  • Spotlight shortcut does not work (ctrl + space)

Spotlight shortcut does not work. When I press ctrl + space, nothing happen. When I click on magnifier icon by mouse, everything work well.
In Spotlight configuration and also in keyboard shortcut configuration this shortcut is present and marked as active.
I've also tried to disable and enable back this shortcut but it still not work.

    Hello Zeleznypa,
For me, the default shortcut for Spotlight is Command - Space (not Control Space).
OS X Yosemite: Spotlight keyboard shortcuts
Open Spotlight to start a search  Command (⌘)-Space bar
Open a Finder window with the search field selected  Option-Command (⌘)-Space bar
I changed the shortcut in System Preferences to Control Space and it still worked with that.
Could you check your keyboard with the Keyboard Viewer?
OS X Yosemite: Use the Keyboard Viewer
    Take care,
    Nubz

  • Disable Keyboard Shortcut for Open Adobe Bridge

Is there a way to disable the keyboard shortcut which opens Adobe Bridge from Illustrator? Often when I'm working quickly I accidentally hit this (option command o) instead of (shift command o) to outline type. It halts everything to open Bridge, which I never use, and drives me crazy. Is there any way to disable this command?
Any help would be greatly approciated!!

Go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > Menu Commands > File and remove or modify the default shortcut for Bridge.

  • What is the keyboard shortcut to close a floating window?

Hiya, just upgraded to Logic 9 from 7 and I can't close floating windows with option-w.
Is there a way I can close floating windows without using my mouse?
    Thanks

I am trying to close floating windows (effects and instruments) using ALT-W not CMD-W.
Ah, okay, never used that one. Have you checked your *Key Commands* that this shortcut actually still is assigned? Even if it is, it might just help to reassign it (to the same keycombo).
    (much later:)
Mm, I did a search of Logic key commands, but I cannot find any command that closes floating windows, alt-W is not a default shortcut for anything... to what command exactly did you assign alt-W?

  • What is the keyboard shortcut to 'maximize' a window (not full screen, just maximized)?

I want to be able to use a keyboard shortcut to maximize a window completely instead of holding 'shift' while clicking the green plus circle on a window.
