Default signature not automatically showing up

I have three email accounts configured in Mail.app. Each of them has a default signature assigned, so that when I create a new message from that account or reply to a message sent to that account, the signature is automatically attached.
However, on one account the signature does not automatically attach. The settings are the same as for the other accounts: the signature has been assigned to the account, and I have selected it in the "choose signature" drop-down menu in the signature preferences.
Any ideas?

Try quitting Mail and going to the Mail folder in your user Library.
There is a Accounts Signatures plist in the folder.
Remove it and set up the signatures again.
All other troubleshooting is more complicated so try this first.

Having been without my Mac for a month I've been using iCloud mail.on a PC. The new mail boxes that I set up there do not automatically show up in Mail on my replacement Mac. Is there any way to transfer them from ICloud mail to Mail? Thanks.

sure pretty simple.  make a backup of your current settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US
then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
    then import pics to computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

  • Why would apple not automatically show the side bar in iTunes.  Wasted 20 min trying to find out why my ipod was not showing up.  Really really bad idea, Apple.

Why does the side bar not automatically show up when you first download apple iTunes?  Really really bad design.  It took 20 min to fine the setting that enable the side bar.  ***?  I could not access my iPod for 20 freakin min!  Just show the **** side bar always!  Maybe apple is too big and is starting to lose common sense.

Because Apple update iTunes to do it that way. Apple has not said why.

  • When connecting I-phone 4 to I-photo, my most recent photos do not automatically show-up in I-photo to be downloaded.  What happened?

When I connect I-phone 4 to MacBook Pro  and bring up I-Photo, my newest photos taken with the I-Phone do not automatically appear.  This is something new that just started happening in the last 2 days.  Usually, everything is transferred and then I download pictures into I-Photo.  Any advice on what happened and what I need to do to get pictures off of I-Phone into I-Photo?

Try this:  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Connect your iPhone  and check to see if the same problem persists.

  • I have a compute in 2 different states-  both with the same iTunes acct.  If I buy a song on one how do it make sure it is on the other computer.  It does not automatically show up when I open my iTunes acct

I have 2 Mac computers- one in 2 different houses but use the same iTunes acct.  When I purchase a song on one computer- it will not show up in the ITUNE library on the other- even after signing in-- how do I update the different computer's iTunes library?

You should be able to turn on Automatic Downloads under iTunes > Preferences > Store and it should automatically get a copy of anything you buy.
If you only want stream it and have it show as an iTunes in the Cloud item make sure that is checked on the Preferences > Store

  • CS4 Code Hinting Not Automatically Showing...

It says in the new features page that it has support for code
hinting for libraries such as jQuery.
Well how come it doesn't come up automatically when you type?
I have code hints enabled! I have to press Ctr+Spacebar for them to
    come up!
    Thanks.

    gnzicc wrote:
    > It comes up automatically for Spry doesn't it?
Yes, because the code hints for Spry are hard-coded into
    Dreamweaver.
The code hints for custom functions and objects, including
    jQuery, YUI,
and other frameworks, are not hard-coded. They're generated
    by code
introspection. That's why you need to press Ctrl+Space.
Full marks for doing a little research in Google, but didn't
    you notice
that one of the top items was a tutorial on the Adobe site
    about
    JavaScript code hints?
    http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/dreamweaver/articles/lrvid4048_dw.html
As you'll see from that tutorial, code hints come up after
    you type a
period following the name of a variable that contains a
    JavaScript
object. However, in my experience, you don't get the full
    range of hints
for jQuery. I'm pretty sure that's because of the way that
    jQuery is
    contstucted.
Another Google search would also reveal the following
    extension for
    jQuery code hints:
    http://www.xtnd.us/dreamweaver/jquery
I haven't used it, so can't comment on the quality or
    reliability of the
    extension.

  • TS1717 iTunes will not automatically recognize a CD in the optical reader

iTunes will not automatically show me CD contents or import CD when I insert into the CD/DVD reader.  To back up a little, iTunes WILL recognize the very first CD that I insert after powering up the PC, but none thereafter.  It doesn't matter if I close iTunes and then re-launch it, I must shut down the PC and re-start, and then iTunes will recognize the first CD I insert, but not the second.
I've read the iTunes help and done everything suggested there, but to no avail.  I am using iTunes version 10.6.3.25.  Has anyone else had this issue?  It surprises me that there is apparently no manual way to get iTunes to take a look at the CD in the optical drive -- it's automatic or nothing.

    Bart,
Thanks for your input.  After creating my post, I found out that I was mistaken on one point.  If I closed and then re-opened iTunes, the first CD that I inserted was recognized (but not subsequent CDs).  So, I just closed the iTunes software and then re-opened it for each CD.  I had a large number of CDs to copy into my library, so this was an annoyance, but not nearly as big an annoyance as if I'd had to shut down the PC between CDs.
My Dell PC, by the way, does not have a door on the optical reader.  You simply push the CD into a slot on the side of the PC and it is pulled in.
I still don't understand why iTunes does not have a menu selection to cause the software to look to the optical drive to see what is there.  But I'm finished now, so won't lose any sleep over it.

  • Default signature (the default cursive name) does not display on executed PDF

When I and my client e-sign a document with our default signatures (the default cursive name), none of our signatures displays on the executed (e-signed by both of us) PDF. However if I and/or client upload an image for our signatures and use it for our profile to e-sign the document, it does show up on the executed PDF.
The problem is I can’t ask everyone to upload an image of their signatures. The default signature (cursive name should show up on executed PDF. Any idea why it doesn’t or how to fix it?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Similar problem. The cursive signature and date stamp appear in Acrobat Pro, but not in Preview. I tried to sign in Preview Document Mode, as suggested elsewhere, and that did not work. This is a preloaded signature I'm working with. It worked on my first attempt when I created the signature. Perhaps that's the only thing that works.

Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.
    Regards.

It sounds like there are a couple things going on here.  First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance.  Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error.  If you get an error, post the error message your hitting.  If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect.  If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog.  Ex:  "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name.  However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format.  Ex:  COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install.  Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

  • Signatures not showing up in Mail?

Has anyone found a fix for getting your signature files to show up in Mail? Or maybe I'm missing something. They've been created and I can see them on the account, but when I compose a message, the sig doesn't show up and there's nothing in the Signature dropdown.

    Hello,
You say "can see them on the account", but please clarify whether after creating a Signature, you first acted to associate it with one particular account? Creation of a Signature without first choosing an account, puts them in location that is not immediately associated with any actual email account. That is done in an additional step, by dragging the Signature to the desired account -- see:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mail/2.0/en/ml454.html
in some ways the older version of the support document may be clearer, depending where you are in the creation process -- see:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61446
More info, and questions as needed.

I wonder if this Option (named Show Event Times in Mountain Lion) is simply not there anymore in Mavericks or if the Checkbox is simply missing and while come back in future Updates of Mavericks?
Is there a way to disable the "Show Event Times" maybe through the Terminal?

For the past two weeks, every time I start up my computer I'm asked for an iCloud login. I've never used iCloud and I'm not likely to. How do I get this login to stop automatically showing up? I'm using an iMac G5 with OS 10.9.4.

One more quick thing first. Hold the SHIFT key this time as you startup and see if that gets you any further (this is called 'Safe Mode' by the way). I'm not too confident that this will work in your case but it's worth a try. If it boots up, go into Disk Utility and repair permissions.
If it doesn't, you're going to have to do an Archive & Install which will install a fresh copy of the OS over the top BUT keep all your users, files and apps in place.
