Default Text for Contact

can anybody tell me how to change standard texts in sales documents (in my case: vbka)?

Hi,
maybe the word "contact" is irritating. I am talking about sales activity, which are contacts in most cases. (Transaction VC01N)
In the sales activity document you can find a set of general texts, that are customized in VOTXN.
Still I do not know how to create a default text (content for the field), that appears in every sales activity as a standard.
If anybody has an idea, I would be very greatful!

George - Thanks you so much! Actually, i'd love for the text color to be red font color. Could you send me the script for that? And I assume I just copy and paste the script into the field properties (see screenshot)?

You may substitute any text you like for the "Placeholder Text", as it is called, in Pages. Click on the existing placeholder text and type something more to your liking. Do this in as many places as your particular template of interest demands. Then, Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder Text. Lastly, File > Save as Template.
Now that you have defined a Custom Template to your liking, you can go to Pages Preferences and under the General tab's first section, define the new custom template as your default for each new document.

No default account for contacts

Iphone 4s with ios 7.0.4, no jail.
I have carddav account with baikal server and want to have default contacts from it. But the "default account" for contact is disappeared
Please, somebody tell me when I wrong?

If you do not have a "Default Account" box it is because only one account for the contacts exists on your device.

Some contacts have disappeared from my phone contacts. They are still in the phone because if someone calls me their name appears and if i search in text for contacts they are still there - but if i search in phone contacts they are not there, Help

But once again, I do not want to lose my other texts, app progress, and photos. I could sync the photos but i would still lose the app progress and texts. I would only restore if it was the only option left, but the other space, as already stated, isnt the main concern. The main concern is those 'deleted' texts. If they go, then a good size chunk of the other space goes. I know you CAN delete texts for good. It worked fine before. All i want to know is why its not working for me now, and how to fix it.
I also know that when you delete texts on your iphone, they get marked for deletion, however they stay on your device (thats why they show up when you search for them.) then when you sync your device with itunes, the texts marked for deletion should disappear. When i synced they didnt disappear. Thats what i need an explanation/solution for. Why the texts marked for deletion didnt get fully deleted after the sync.

Default text for a dimension in Webi

Hi Experts,
What is the default text which a dimension takes up in Webi report created on a universe and Bex query ?
Here i have all three text maintained for a dimension - short, medium, long.
and the properties in the IOBJ set as - Text and key,Text Type as medium text, Bex description as Long descritpion.
I have not changed anything at the universe level (any text definition)
The text which is coming in my webi report is coming as short text even though medium is set in the IOBJ properties.
Please help me on this in understanding how the text are pulled in BO Webi report.

I faced with same problem,
The WEBI view text according to definition in BEx Query in display properties of characteristic.
If you build selection prompt based on this characteristic , there WEBI search engine use Provider Specific properties.

I'm wondering how to set the default phone number for selected contact, for example when it is more then one number associated to someone in contact book???

The default number setting has effect, please see the different scenario's below:
Scenario1: Open contact application -> highlight contact -> press right navi and select "Voice call" option -> call is established to assigned default number for voice call.
Scenario2: select contact directly from homescreen (using easy dialing feature) -> press call key -> call is established to assigned default number for voice call.
Scenario3: Open contact application -> highlight contact -> press call key -> list of contact number options is displayed with default number for voice calls highlighted -> press call key again to call to default number.
So in all scenarios the default setting has effect, only in scenario 3 it doesn't start the call with the default number instantly, but it highlights the default number.
I'm working at Nokia, but all my posts represent my own views and these should not be mixed up with Official NOKIA statements.

Is there a way to change the default "New Contact" screeen to always shown job title? I hate having to create a contact, then go in and modify it, and add a field (being job title).
Any help would be great.

Send to: Changing default texts/system-url for emails

Hi, I would like to change the default texts for emails send by "Send to". The specific problem is, that the system-url in the link to the object isn't correct.
for example: http://testsystem... instead of http://productive...
Have you got any ideas where to change this?

I don't know where you have this problem but if this when you create a room you should modify in:
System Administration-System Configuration-Collaboration- Room Backend Properties- you can generate the access url to collaboration room.

Default Text in Transportation (Shipment)

Hi Gurus
Need yr expertise.. I need to maintain certain default texts for a customer in shipment (transportation).. How can I maintain those texts? Where should I maintain it? Can I maintain it in customer master, so that whenever there is shipment it will be copied over? I try to find the text in the customer master but it is only showing in the sales order but not shipment..

Hi Sanjay Gupta,
Texts in the SD module carry and share information, such as shipping instructions, through master data and transactional data. You can configure the system to propose the text from the master data or within a document and carry it across the supply chain process. The system then can copy the text to subsequent documents, so you dont need to enter the information again. You also can use the text as an instruction for subsequent processes for example, a note in the delivery document that specifies pick-up instructions.
For instance, you could record customer instructions for receiving the goods. You also could use texts when you have an agreement that is about to expire and you want to send a note with the document that accompanies the goods you send the customer. Another example would be if your customer would like to receive products in a particular sequence. In this case, you could include this information in the shipping instructions, which would notify the warehouse folks of the request before they ship the product.
the t.code is VOTXN to setup text determination. here you can select it for sales document header item, delivery and billing header item details. Also you can do it customer texts. you can configure the text procedure which contain several text ids which during the sales order can be used to maintain additional information.
Maintian the Test in Customer master as well Shipping Header Data
Please check your Config Settings again.

Move description to table CS_ORDERADM_H_BADI, in the field DESCRIPTION.
IF IU_ORDERADM_H_WRK-process_type = 'Z001'.

STO PO default text

Hi Guru's
I did all the config settings for default text for PO from vendor master, its works on NB type PO, when I create UB type STO i don't see the text defaulting, Is there any config I'am missing, is it possible for having a default text in STO PO. Sorry if this is a repost, i tried searching answers for this and did not find much information.

the intra-company STO process with document type UB does not require a vendor master.
you probably can only see a plant on the very top of ME21N, thats the reason why no text is flowing from the vendor which is assigned to your plant.
It is in "internal" activity between 2 plants in your organisation, in this case we usually do not even have a message output, as the delivery plant can directly see the PO in their delivery due list.
What information do you want to transmit.
Maybe you should consider to enter this text in the customer master, so that the text flows from there to the deivery note and can be seen by the shipping people.

Why does the default text tone play instead of the personalized text tone I have selected for a given contact?

The selected text tone plays when I check it out on the contact page, but when I receive a text message from this contact the default text tone plays.

Not me. iPhone or not, it always plays the default sound instead of the custom one
