Default Value using Custom Library?

In Custom Form A, in the global variables i have store the value , How to populate default value to Form B using in custom library.
I tried using COPY, but its not working?
COPY('GLOBAL.EXP_PRO',':IT_QF.PRO_NUM');
Is their any other way to do it?

This will throw an error because the COPY built-in takes 2 Varchar2 parameters (Source and Destination). When you use the COPY built-in, you pass references to the objects not the objects themselves. Therefore, the reference to the global variable :GLOBAL.EXP_PRO would have to be passed as a string to COPY.
Looking at your original post, you have a COLAN in the destination string. Try the following:
COPY('GLOBAL.EXP_PRO',':IT_QF.PROJECT_NUMBER');
/* Change this statement to: */
COPY('GLOBAL.EXP_PRO','IT_QF.PROJECT_NUMBER');Craig...

    Although I am not a developer, I believe this is possible using a "zoom" function in CUSTOM.pll. There are some details available in ML Docs 73505.1, 744065.1 and 438787.1. There may be more details in the Application Developer Guide for 11i

  • Problems installing when using custom library

    I can't install generated application on iPad (IOS report installation error), when I use custom library. Before DPS App Builder v25 all was OK, problems started after 1 feb, when I installed new AppBuilder. I can't install any application (generated from AppBuilder v25) with custom library, incl. reference applications from devnet articles.

    Thank you for your attantion to my problem. Explain me successful installation on IOS when I use standard library with identical certificates.
    IOS reports "installation failed" only when I switch to custom library.
    P.S.: our friend with another DPS Pro account have the same error. He tries to create 2 "Pro" applications, first installation success, second fail. All certificates and mobileprovisions created yesterday...

  • Setting default value of document library column using powershell

    Created document library based on template which is using custom content type containing managed metadata based column.
    I can upload documents. Everything looks normal except when I visit Column default value settings page in DL settings, I get error message below

    I found another way to fix this. Thanks to you pointing me to the file "{List Name}/Forms/client_LocationBasedDefaults.html"
    I found the difference between this file and the one of a list that worked:
    I had "&" in the names of some folders. The recreated subsites from a template that contained such folders in the document library had the problem descriped by the OP. In the recreated client_LocationBasedDefaults.html there were actual '&'
    in the folder names instead of '%26' escape characters. After replacing those characters with their escaped version everything worked as expected again.

    We have added a custom field in the Item level for Shopping Cart (SRM 7.1).
    I however want a default value to show up or get populated in that custom field all the time. What is the best way to achieve this?

    depends upon how you have added it.
    if its just though the structures and not added in the WD then you need to do it with doc-change badi.. and this is a preferred option.
    if you have done it though WD then you can default the values using the post exits in the INIT method.
    you can check if the value is blank then populate this default value (so that it does not overwrite the edited values).
    moreover, do you want it as a non editable field or just a default value which user can change on the screen as well?

    Please help me out for the below issue
    Custom Object 10 we renamed to Quarterly Broker Review .In Quarterly Broker Review there is a related item section 'Activity'.
    In Quarterly Broker Review ,Activity related Section ,After clicking on The 'New Task' button 'Account Name' field in Quarterly Broker Review(Parent ) should be prefilled in the Activity Section(Related Item Section) in Account Name Field
    'Account Name' field is a Picklist Read Only field.
    Since it is a picklist read only field i couldn't write the expression in the 'Activity' Related section under 'Account Name' field

    Hi Srinivas,
    As you know, you can refer to a field in a different object by using JoinFieldValue function. But this function is not available for all the object references. If you refer online help for JoinFieldValue function you would notice that from activity only CustomObjects 1,2 an 3 can be referenced using this function.
    If this is possible for the activity and CustomObject 10 then you go to the field named Account Id in Activity object and set a default value. I guess in the parent object "CustomObject10" Account Id will also be stored in "Account: Integration ID". So this field value can be copied into the Account Id field of Activity.
    Instead you could write a web service program to achieve this.

  • Vivado 2015.1 Bug Report: Adding Required Port without Default Value in Custom Interface Definition

    When adding a port using the Custom Interface Definition window and not defining a Default Value, the attached error message appears.  Not only are the html tags visible, but this error should not be thrown in the first place if both Master/Slave Presense is set to "required".  As it is, a port can only be added if a Default Value is given, but can be removed later from the ports table.

    yes,I have successfully install petalinux2015.2,but,the issue still be the same as before,the axi 16550 is not working,when I run echo 123 > /dev/ttyS1,my ttyPS0 stop working and axi com keeping null output...
    then,I try petalinux2014.4+petalinux2014.4,the difference is the ttyPS0 still alive but axi-com still null...
    I found that pl.dtsi file is quite different between the three mode:
    M1,petalinux2014.4+vivado2015.1
    M2,petalinux2015.2+vivado2015.1
    M3,petalinux2014.4+vivado2014.4
    most confuse for me is the interrupt ID,
    in vivado I connect the axi intterrupt to ID 62 but I get different auto generate dts file
    M1:nothing about interrupt and i add manuually in system-top.file
    M2:vivado ID is 61 but dts "interrupts = <0 30 4>"
    M3:vivado ID is 62 but dts "interrupts = <0 31 4>"
    does petalinux auto detect the vivado interrupt connection and ID and write to dts file right or User have to verify and rewrite in ststem-top.dts?
    working hard for the issue and hope for a axi demo including petalinux + vivado ,help please

    I've a requirement wherein i need to create a Z table (with maintainence view) in which i'll have date and time as two of its field which should have current date and current time as default value. Can somebody suggest as how am i to maintain the date and time fields defaulting to current date and current time.

    We have a following custom table which contains the fields “Date on which record was created” and “Name of the person who created the object”. We would like to have these to be filled up with SY-DATUM and SY-UNAME respectively.

    Write a form routine in table maintanance generator.
    1. SE11 > utilities > table maintenance generator
    2. environment > modification > event
    define the event and form routine to make use of the tigger. in the form routine define an object for the class and call the relevant method.
    Or u can do it as:
    Table maintenance generator is basically used to do table operations like (insert, delete, modify...).
    if you create table maintenance for your table it will build a module pool program, by using you do the above operations.
    below is the procedure to create table maintenance generator.
    1) Create one function group.
    2) after activating your Ztable, choose 'Utilities'----> 'Table maintenance genrator'.
    3) then give the authorization group and function group created abobe in the next screen.
    4) Then choose the "create" button in your application tool bar, which will creates the module pool program.
    5) then create one Tcode by chosing "Transaction with parameters( parameter transaction)".
    6) in transaction field give "SM30", select the check box "Skip initial screen".
    7) in the below of that screen you can find the "Default values" frame.
    8) there under the "name of screen field" select the "View name' and 'update".
    9) in value column against to "view name" give you table name, and against to "Update" put 'X' in capital letters.
    save it then you can straight away use this newly created Tcode to maintain your table.
    Note:- 1) make the modification while saving the data into your table using this newly generated program to carry out your validation (even though it looks like standard program; no need to enter the access key).
    2) if you do any changes to your table and press the activate button automatically the table maintenace generator will be goes off, you need to create this again.

    but it is not defaulting... Appreciate if any one has idea what is wrong in this.

    as we dont have any option via personalization to set the default values ,it can be done through controller extension ,
    in processRequest method of extended controllere get the control for that particular field where u want to set the default value and set the value using fieldbean.setValue(pagecontext,value);
    in case of any particular case ,please post in the forum

  • Can you set a default value using Data Mover Scripts?

    Hi,
    We're going through a upgrade of PS Fin 8.9 -> 9.1. We've found some existing tables with new columns that are marked as NOT NULL so we're having trouble migrating the data using DMS.
    Is there a way to Export the data from 8.9 and when importing into 9.1, set a default value for the new column using DMS?
    A specific example would be the PS_SOURCE_TBL where EXCHANGE_RATE_OPTN is new and NOT NULL.

    What you could do is first rename the record to be imported
    IMPORT SOURCE_TBL AS PS_SOURCE_TBL_ORG;
    Then write a insert/select script from PS_SOURCE_TBL_ORG to PS_SOURCE_TBL defaulting column EXCHANGE_RATE_OPTN
    Insert into PS_SOURCE_TBL (COLUMN,COLUMN,COLUMN,COLUMN, EXCHANGE_RATE_OPTN)
    select PS_SOURCE_TBL_ORG (COLUMN,COLUMN,COLUMN,COLUMN, 'defaultvalue');
    And then drop table PS_SOURCE_TBL_ORG to clean up your database.

    This is my LOV definition for the item:

    If I put Y as the default value, then the check box is always marked, even when the record is one that was edited; therefore potentially changing the active status incorrectly. I would like one of my examples to work right. My second example throws this error:
    Error ERR-9131 Error in PLSQL function body for item default code, item=P12_ACTIVE
    ORA-06550: line 3, column 8: PLS-00204: function or pseudo-column 'EXISTS' may be used inside a SQL statement only ORA-06550: line 3, column 1: PL/SQL: Statement ignored.
