Default values for Document splitting

In our testing of document splitting we cannot get a default value to post to a P&L account.
I am trying to use a constant to get the default value to post, but it does not seem to work.
Has anyone got an experience of this?

Just some comments on constant.
My understanding is that you wanted to use 'constant' option in document splitting? If so, it works when..
1) account assignment is all blank
2) account assignment determined by document split matches to the partially mantained constant (after note 1050082).
Anyway, note 826357 also explains how to default PCA.

I would suggest to create a library template of an empty library with this settings as NO. Use this template for creating new libraries.
For updating existing libraries you can use:
$Site = Get-SPSite http://Site
$ListName = "library Name"
$Site | Get-SPWeb | ForEach-Object {
$List = $_.Lists[$listName]
$List.EnableFolderCreation = $false
$List.Update()
$Site.Dispose()
You can modify the above script for you need.

Define Default Values for Doc type..

Hi All.
I set a default value of "ME21N" TO "S21" at Define Default Values for Document Type.
But, default document type is not "S21" but "NB" in ME21N
( system ver. 710)
Let me know how to correct it..

if not please do it.

How to set default value for Zfeild using statusprofile

hi experts,
I need to set a default value for a zfeild using status profile.Although we can default the values,using getter and setter methods,but in my requirement,the feild will be defaulted when the page is locked,also in display mode,which will require me to write code to unlock then set the value and then write a commit,as there wont be any user action performed.
I have created a zstatus profile and have set the required status to inital,but no luck
please suggest if this canbe achived through status profile.

Hi,
You can check in the getter if the Page is locked and then display the value to want to display. Note that this will be just Displaying the default value for the Zfield and it will not set the default value into the Zfield in DB, because when the document is locked ( means locked for editing - mostly when system status is completed ) , setters are not called and so you can display the value but cant set it. This is fine if the value you want to display in Z field is just for user's informations and its not required to save this default value.
The best approach would be to set the value in the Zfield before the page is locking. For example, If you wat to set the zfield value when status is set to "Completed" , then you can configure an action that is 1) triggered during saving of the document with 2) start condition "When status is completed" ( both 1 and 2 you can mention in action defination ), then Implement this action badi in which you can set the Zfield to default value.
This will ensure that default value is always set whenever the page is getting locked for editing ( i assumed that page lock means status completed ).

What are the default values for the NetStream.multicast***** properties

I read the api document about NetStream.multicast**** properties, but found no default values were given. Will the default values be changed when FP10.1 release?? Or, the values are always changing at runtime?
I have a web-tv application, it broadcast some live videos created by my friends, I think that the latency and lag-time can be bigger in my app, I want to know the recommended default values for the multicast*** properties.
I think the multicastWindowDuration and liveDelay are the keys. And I am confused between NetStreammulticastWindowDuration and NetStream.bufferTime..they like the same...

the publisher can set the multicast properties you listed to be the defaults for all of the subscribers of the stream. in addition, the publisher can select whether or not "push" mode is used by changing NetStream.multicastPushNeighborLimit. setting the limit to 0 disables push, setting it to non-zero enables push in the mesh, but only changes the actual push neighbor limit for the publisher. if push is enabled for the stream, each peer will use push mode, but will start out with the global default limit (which is currently 4). this is for safety. we recommend you always leave push enabled.
each peer (including the publisher) can change the multicast stream parameters dynamically. changes are local to that peer.
for the publisher to set the initial parameters for the stream that all peers will inherit as the default, the parameters must be changed on a new NetStream *before* NetStream.publish() is called. example:
   var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(netConnection, groupSpecification);
   ns.multicastWindowDuration = 10; // change default for everybody
   ns.publish("mystream");
   ns.multicastWindowDuration = 15; // change window duration just for publisher, everybody else will start with 10 for this stream
each subscriber can override the multicast stream properties locally, but the overrides must be set on the NetStream *after* receiving a NetStream.MulticastStream.Reset NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS event in order for the override to stick. overrides must be reapplied each time the NetStream.MulticastStream.Reset event is received.

Default Value for Order Type based on Company Code in ME21N

Using ME21N, I want to make the PO type defaulted to a certain company code, say for instance Company code XYZ should have a PO type XYZ Purchase Order, ..company ABC should have a PO type ABC Purchase Order, and so on...I'm just puzzled how to implement it. I know that we can set a Default value for PO Headers in Personal Settings but its doesnt give the result I want coz it will only have one Default Value. What I wanted is when a certain company code is chosen, automatically, the corresponding PO type for that Company code will be displayed in the Order Type drop-down menu (so there's no need to choose on the drop down list what Order type) Is this possible in ABAP? Hope i made myself clear.

View the interface documentation in transaction SE19 and you will see the method OPEN can be used :
2. Opening of a purchase order (OPEN method)
The system opens a new document to create, change or display a purchase order. With the OPEN method,
<b>you can import your own data and prepare it for further processing.</b>
This is available in 4.7 Enterprise but not sure how far back.....

Default values for confirmation control key

Dear forum
I am using a confirmation control key 0004 Shipping notification (standard SAP) in the Purchase order line item (created with ME21n).
When I enter the confirmation data (with transaction ME22n) in the purchase order line item (confirmations tab), I have to type in delivery date, quantity and so on manually, which is standard.
But, what if I want to copy the original delivery date and quantity from the line item in the order, and use this as default value for the line item confirmation data...is it possible somehow?
The reason why I want to do this is for the user not having to go in and update this date manually all the time, but only when the confirmed dates/quantities differ from the desired delivery date and quantities in the purchase order line item. We are not on EDI or using Inbound deliverys for Purchase orders.

The Confirmation is nothing but the acknowledgement.So, its usually entered manuallly by the authorised User allowing follow on documents for Purchase Order.
You can chesk once the customisation of Confiramtion control keys for automatic update indicator.
Yes, you can use User Exit and develop with the help of ABAPERS.

SP Online - Managed Metadata column Default Value for folders (using CSOM)

I am working on setting default values (metadata columns) for different folders on my document library. As so far, I've found solution about how to set default values on whole library and many solutions which works for folders, but not for sharepoint
online (using metadataDefaults object).
The only working solution for folders in SPO I've found is editing file library/Forms/client_LocationBasedDefaults and add some data here.
My question is: is there any easier method to set default values for each folder in document library without manually editing this file?

I second that, I have a client looking to do the same thing but I don't see a way to automate this.

In InfoPath 2013 in use with SharePoint 2013, how do you set a Default Value for Person/Group Picker fields? Other field types like Text Boxes have a Default Value section in the Data tab of Properties. There doesn't appear to be any equivalent for

You can auto populate your InfoPath farm with current user Name and all other property that you have in your User profile, you have couple of options.
First you can make a secondary connection in your InfoPath form with user profile and can use the UserProfileService.asmx and call the GetUserProfileByName method. Here is the steps you can follow.

Default Values For Foreign Trade Header Data

Hello,
I have defined a price condition (ZPFR) to gather the price from the company to the custom office (the customs office through which the goods enter or leave the country).
I want that price condition to be determined in the pricing procedure in foreign trades. The fields in the access sequence are the Plant and the Customs office. In customizing, in the point Default Values For Foreign Trade Header Data, I have defined a line for the Departure country, the Destination Country and the proper values for the Office of exit, Export Custom Office and Office of destination (the same that I have selected in the condition record). But when I create a sale document, this condition does not determine because the Customs office seems not to have any value in the document. Does anybody what I am doing wrong?

You require to do thenecessay configuration for Foreign Trade Data:
IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Foreign Trade/Customs --> Basic Data for Foreign Trade --> (Do the necessary configuration here)
In most probability, it will not default, but it is required to be maintained in Invoice (based on configuration)

Assign a G/L Account to a Segment for Document Splitting

HI Experts,
Do you know if it is possible to assign a G/L Account to a specific segment?. I know and have setup the splitting method and rules, we have created item categories and base categories and splitting method. Document split is active and working fine. We have defined all different segments (MXC000, MXC0001, etc) in the Enterprise Structure section of IMG. On the other hand, I have an account for automatic postings 7300001 for the exchange rate differences when documents are posted in foreign currency.
Question is, is it possible to assign account 7300001 to a specific segment MXC0000 for example?. Since the postings to the 7300001 are automatic postings, is there a place in the system where I can assign my segment MXC0000 to account 7300001, thus automatic postings hit segment MXC0000 as well?

Use Tcode FAGL3KEH and assign a default profit center such as XXXX .
In Profit center master data you assign "MXC0000" as segment.
System derives in this case the segment via Priofitcenter assigned in FAGL3KEH.
This is one way of doing.
Revisit the classification of GL accounts for document splitting and check whether the assignment to the GL account is "40200 - Exchange rate diff account "or not

Is it possible to pass a default value for the quote screen/document, to be more specific, the payment terms field?
Can i use the BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI~BBP_QUOT_CHANGE? I have reviewed the signature but i can't find the payment term field...
How can i achieve this?

Default Data for Document Fields D_CUII_TYP

Hi experts,
I am trying to define default data for document fields in Export Switzerland.
Source field is G_IMPCN, target field is D_CUII_TYP.
I create the following master data, i.e.
G_IMPCN = 39095000
D_CUII_TYP = FREI
meaning if G_IMPCN is 39095000 then Legal Document Type FREI is being created automatically.
Then I run the default data function on document level but nothing happens.
The log shows G_IMPCN with value 39095000 but D_CUII_TYP = FREI is missing.
Do you have any idea what else I should do to resolve this issue ?

Hi Corine,
Be careful with the logs, they are quite confusing as sometimes it displays the value it is looking for and sometimes the value it has foud. And sometimes the green and red lights are wrong or put in a logic that is confusing.
Most likely it does not find the value because it is looking in the Import numbering in the import scheeme. Did you try with STAWN ? At any rate, if I may suggest, you need to setup the system with having the commodity code in the Declaration, because if you do not have the Scheme CHEXP defined in the Scheme for commodity code you are going to face trouble when trying to retransfer the Tarification to the feeder System.

I have two drop downs. Both are coming from look up fields from two lists. i want to set a default value(first list item) for the first drop down list box and then apply cascading based on the default value for the next drop down list box. I found one article(http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2010/display-first-item-drop-down-list-box-infopath-2010.htm)
where in i can set a default value but i can't apply cascading based on that default value. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Also for search help (e.g. search for internal products) where a search should only be possible for product type 01 (goods). The system should not display the product type and internally always search for goods only.

Here we can set defalut value 01 but it is not correct one since same search help is using several places.
We need to limit the search help results only for SC.

The easiest way to set defautl values is to edit the batch class.
Goto the characteiristic and go to update values.
In here you probably have something like 0 - 100 as a spec range.
On the next line enter the default value within this range. At the end of the line, click in the box in the column labelled "D". This indicates the defautl value for the characteristic.
If you need to you can do this in the material classification view as well.
Just to be clear, these values will only show up in the batch record. You can not have defautl values in resutls recording screens.
