Default Workspace

Quick question, the forum search is not working for me. New install of HTMLDB, I'm at the login screen. What is the default workspace name?
I have the admin password, as well as the htmldb_public_user db password. How can I find out the available workspaces?

Chandana,
There is no "default workspace." You'll have to create one using your admin credentials.

  • How to change default workspace in WSAD?

    Hi all,
I need ur help? Please tell me How to change the default workspace in WSAD.

the -setworkspace command line arg doesn't show up with that search on my copy of WSAD version 5.0.0.2. We typically have 3 or 4 workspaces running, and of course everybody checked the box the first time out ;)
We did search extensively (google, tech boards, config details, etc), and finally got the arg from a tech call to IBM. If they really want to run a bunch of different workspaces, this is an easy way, but the arg for it wasn't all that easy to find.

  • Edit the default workspace and actions for a group of computers?

I am a high school yearbook teacher, and I have a group of Windows 7 desktops running CS6. I want to replace the default workspace and actions on them to increase productivity. Where would I place the workspace and action files on the computers so they would be applied to all the users on the computer?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
I want to purchase a Macmini with SL Server and create a photo competition solution for a camera club. The solution needs to be able to accept uploaded images and the solution needs to let the user associate a set of images to a competition and from there the solution needs to make sure that the filename, format, size and embedded metadata is correct before storing and processing them further. Friends I have talked to say I need a classic CMS solution so I may need to investigate instead of my planned AppleScript/Automator solution.
Also - thank you for offering to develop, but I had kinda planned to do this myself to build some knowledge and also get to know the server better.
Anyone else using the SnowLeo server for a solution like this?

  • CS3 Bridge - Filter keyboard shortcuts on in Default Workspace?

Here's a annoying differences I notice between CS2 & CS3 Bridge, or am I missing something related to Filter keyboard shortcuts in CS3 Bridge?
I'm used to using keyboard shortcuts to filter the Bridge Contents window, i.e. pressing Command+Option+1 to show just 1-star rated files. But this kind of keyboard shortcut only works when the Filter tab is visible, as in the Default Workspace view. If I in the Thumbnail workspace view none of the filter keyboard shortcuts have any effect. Must the Filter palette be visible for the shortcuts to work or am I doing something wrong?
    TIA!

hi- thank you to both of you. the question is answered but i dont know what the etiquette of awarding the 'question solved' points is here. Because the question had two parts, Malcolm Rayfield answered both parts, but A.Carlo also kindly answered the second part, so i don't know how to give the points without excluding A.Carlo. but i guess if i can only give the points to one person, it should be Malcolm, since he answered both?

  • Changing default workspace removes reference to AIR SDK

    Hi
When I change my default workspace to a custom workspace, it removes the reference to the AIR SDK under Preferences -> Flash Builder - > Installed AIR SDK, and won't allow me to add it back in.
The text field is not editable, so I can't type the file location. It should be set to:
    /Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7/eclipse/plugins/com.adobe.flash.compiler_4.7.0.345990/AIRSDK
but as you can see in attached screenshot, it appears blank, which results in build errors.
    Anyway I can change this?
    Regards
    Dan Rostron

    Hi Dan,
I checked this on my machine. In my custom workspace, evrthing seems to work fine. I am able to import AS projects created in my default workspace. Also, i am able to successfully create new AS and AS mobile projects in my custom workspace. Reference to the AIR SDK is intact and projects are compiling fine.
Is there anything else you did before/after switching the workspace? Probably, changed the installed AIR SDK structure or something similar?
    Thanks,
    Sudhir

  • Default Workspace changed from usual My Documents area

No big deal, but why has the default workspace location (Windows platform) been changed?
    Shouldn't it be C:\Documents and Settings\Flex Developer\My Documents\Adobe Flash Builder Plug-in Beta 2\?

Yes. Agreed. But all previous Flexbuilder releases (betas and full releases) have always had their default workspaces within the "My Documents" folder.
It just threw me a bit when I created a flex project (accepted the default project file location) and it wasn't where I thought it would be. Its usually the My Documents folder so I just wanted to know why change? Thanks

I just now installed the HTML DB 10g 1.6. It's a new installation. The installation was successful. I am even able to view the Login in page.
But is there any default Workspace that get's created. I need to know what is the default
    WorkSpace
    UserName
    Password.
I read the documentation. It says that we can request for a workspace from Tasks menu. But I only see "Reset Password" option and no "Request Workspace" option.
Can anyone help me out with this.
    Thanks

    try :
    Workspace : INTERNAL
    user : ADMIN
    Password : <Password entered during install>
You will be in the workspace admin.
Create a workspace for your application.
Logout and login into your workspace.

  • Default workspace setting

Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to have a project setting for a different default workspace? I use dual monitors so the out-of-the-box workspace is pretty much useless for me, so I have a custom workspace set up to make use of the dual monitors. BUT, I have to select that workspace everytime I fire up premiere and open a project. I suspect that there are a lot of people out there using custom workspaces and could really use this feature. I may be wrong, but I think that premiere use to save the custom workspace selection along with the project and you didn't have to do this EVERY TIME.
To me this seems like such an obious and easy useability item. What does everyone else think?
    Regards,
    Dave

I do, and it does bring my custom workspace in with the project, but it doesn't select it. It seems to always select the default and I then have to select my workspace.
    Thanks,
    Dave

  • How to change the default workspace polling behaviour

Here are the instructions on how to change the polling interval in workspace:
The workspace source project is usually under (C:\Adobe\Adobe LiveCycle ES2\LiveCycle_ES_SDK\misc\Process_Management\Workspace)
The file that needs to be modified is SessionManager.as and is under  (C:\Adobe\Adobe LiveCycle ES2\LiveCycle_ES_SDK\misc\Process_Management\Workspace\ws\Workspace\foundation\src\lc\fou ndation)
Set the value in a javascript file and then read this from the Workspace app.  You can see an example of this in the same createChannelSet() method wrt the “enableSmallMessages” variable. To do this:
1- Add the following lines to the workspace-config.js file right after the enableSmallMessages var definition (the js file is in the sdk under (C:\Adobe\Adobe LiveCycle ES2\LiveCycle_ES_SDK\misc\Process_Management\Workspace\ws\Workspace\ui\html-template\js) – note that my example sets it to 10 seconds:
1- Then in the createChannelSet() method, define a new var with the same name and type=Number and default it to 3000 (to be consistent with the current behaviour):
                   var pollingInterval:Number = 3000;
2- Then, in the existing block where ExternalInterface.available is true, add the line to read the new value from the js file like this:
                  pollingInterval = ExternalInterface.call(“pollingInterval”);
3- Set pollingInterval on the channel with:
                 channel.pollingInterval = pollingInterval;
4- Add this function to the workspace-config.js file
// pollingInterval is the channelset polling interval in millisecs
          function pollingInterval()
                return 10000;
Compile this code and rebuild the workspace war, making sure the war contents contain the updated js file too, and then the polling interval will be read from the js file, making it much easier to change.
Here is the doc on how to customize workspace: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/customizeworkspaceui.pdf

Changing the Workspace Polling intervals just got a whole lot easier.  Go to http://blogs.adobe.com/ADEP/2011/08/workspace-polling-in-adep.html for more info.

  • Trouble Importing files to Pro CS3 and also getting default workspace

Hi guys, I'm a newbie and only using Premiere CS3 3.2.0 (with update recently installed) I'm on a Vista-based laptop, 2.5Ghz, 4mb RAM, plenty of hard drive space.
When I start a new project in Premiere CS3, in the New Project window, I go down to XDCAM EX, (shot with Sony EX 3), and highlight 1080p. Usually I get text in the description box but right now I'm not getting anything. And when I give the project a name and click OK, I get a blank workspace; no default timeline bin or file bin or monitor windows. I get nothing.
I have files on an external 250gig IOMEGA hd. Having trouble importing these files into the project. Can anyone help with any ideas of how to get started? Thanks!
UPDATE: I'm still getting a blank workspace when opening up a new project.
I have since attempted to import files from the external HD. It appears the files transferred over but I have no idea where they went. I saw the bar accept the files but cannot find the files listed anywhere in Premiere. Can someone please help?

OK, this used to work. Is that correct? Now it does not, or appears to not work. When that happens, something has changed.
The task will be to determine what might have changed. Have you had any OS updates lately? First, these can render display drivers obsolete instantly. Though it sounds like most of your GUI is displaying fine, some updated GUI info might not be, like the Timeline and Project Panel. Check to see if you have the latest display driver.
Since you have updated to 3.2 (normally a highly recommend thing to do), I would be interested to know if this behavior started before that update, or if it started long after 3.2 worked for you. Redoing the update might be like a Repair Install. If not, I think that I would try a Repair Install to see if something has been broken along the way.
I know that none of this really points to a cause, and probably does not point to a cure.
Along the way, tell us more about your entire system, both the hardware and the software.
Last, do you happen to have Window Blinds, or have a MS mouse with an InteliPoint mouse driver? I know that sounds like a weird question, but I have my reasons.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Default workspace settings

I'm just starting to work with Keynote and like many of its features. However, I can't figure out how to set workspace defaults, such as showing the rulers, presenter notes and master slides (to name a few). Everytime I open a presentation, I'm having to go through the step of clicking on those items, which is pretty annoying. Lots of wasted time. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?
ALSO- Can anyone tell me whether there is a way to change the layout of the slides + presenter notes printouts? For example, I'd like to reduce the size of the slide graphic so that more notes will fit on the page, but I can't figure out how to do it.
I did a search and couldn't find an answer to these- sorry if they've been covered. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Try clicking on ESSENTIALS near the upper-right of the Photoshop window.  You can also try Window - Workspace - Reset Essentials.
When you did Control-Alt-Shift, did you get Photoshop to prompt you to delete your preferences?  If it didn't prompt, you weren't quick enough.  You have to get those keys down a tiny fraction of a second after you cold-start Photoshop.

  • AE CC Custom Default Workspace?

I thought this used to be a thing, but I can't find it now. Is there a setting that overrides a project's workspace when opened and instead always uses your selected workspace as default?
Example: My coworker and I are always handing projects back and forth but he has a different workspace than I do, so every time I open his project (and vice versa) the layout is completely different. It's not a big hassle to go up and select my own workspace, but having to do this 10s of times a day gets old. I thought there used to be a setting to ignore a project's workspace - anyone have insight on this?
I'm on After Effects CC 2014
    Thanks in advance!

thank you mylenium. i just realized after i posted that the project was last opened on my home machine with a single monitor setup. I was opening said project, doing a save as a new version. then reopening that original project. as a part of my workflow.  each time i reopened the original project, i figured out that because i had not made a change to THAT project and done a save, it had not registered/saved the current workspace. i'm probably not making sense, but issue has been solved. thank you for the quick response!
