Yeah how do you get rid of ask.com from Firefox
It seems that ask.com has joined the Mozilla Firefox partner program which has added ask Jeeves into the latest version of Firefox.

I found some files on my computer which were from ask.com referring to co-branding, but even though i deleted these files from my computer it is still in my browser.
There was no notification of this during the last Firefox update, so unless i can get rid of it, it will be time to change browsers.

Hompage is redirecting to ask Jeeves even though I keep setting my preferred homepeage in the options window - why?

I have just upgraded to firefox 4 - now every time I open it it defaults to the ask jeeves search page as my homepage.

I have previously used google for searches. My home page now shows 'Ask Jeeves'. I am now unable to bookmark pages and I no longer have easy access to hotmail.
I started using firefox because it gave me exactly what I wanted so there are now two choices:
Get back to my previous setup
Leave firefox.

Some thing you installed after Firefox added that Ask Jeeves garbage.

My browser toolbar keeps defaulting to Ask instead of Google. Have deleted it, moved it and everytime I reboot there it is. How can I remove or set Google as default?

I am running Win7. On my screen, there is a field that lists the browsers available. The default seems to be Ask with the others listed, about 5. There is a button to move them according to preference so I move Google up to the top. Then there is also a button to Remove the ones I don't want to use. How can I delete permanently a old Apple id? my devises keep defaulting to my old id.

problem:
I originally had a Apple ID that used a different email address. I had to delete that email address as it was not accessable anymore. I created a second Apple ID.
But my iphone keeps defaulting and asking me for the password for my first apple id. I have the new Apple id on my iphone, however some programs must be still linked to the first account. It is driving me nuts. How can I change the settings on the apps using the first apple ID, or somehow delete that account permanently.
I am using a iPhone 5 and also a Ipad mini that I bought this year. Both are getting the messages. Arrrgh.
my iPhone 5 will not back up to the cloud, even though I have the account under my settings set for the second account.

an Apple ID cannot be deleted.
The easiest solution would be to delete all the apps you downloaded with the old Apple ID and downloading them again with the new one, because everytime there are updates available for the apps you downloaded with the old one, you'll need to log in with the old one.
Logging in with the old one is still possible(provided you still have the password), regardless whether the emailaddress exists or not anymore, for an Apple ID it's just a username.

I've lost the menu bar and Ask has taken over the front page.

Something was down loaded yesterday and Ask Jeeves appears to have come with it. I can't get back to my orginal Firefox front page and have lost all my toolbars. I have uninstalled Ask but it is still there even though it has gone from my program list. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Mozilla four times but still Ask is at the front with everything else missing

Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.

I checked the Document Numbering-Setup , Of course, it defines it.
And also checked the Series-Setup. It's OK , I think.
Could you tell me, What should I check ?

Please try this. Go to Administration> System Initialization> Document Numbering.
Open the AR Invoice Series and when you set any of the series default it asks for certain options.
Are you aware about that Options?
Please select right one and then try to add.
Else select for all users and then try.....

[SOLVED] sudo doesn't ask password

I have a problem. when I run a command with sudo arch don't ask me my user password.
In fact, if I launch:
sudo -ll
the result is:
the user delvi can run the following command on delvi-arch:
Voce sudoers:

option: !authenticate

this is not good for me. how do I remove the !authenticate option?

3.6.10 with jeeves does not remmber my recent searches - how do I fire him

Until this morning Firefox worked excellently with a header which would remember my recent searches and offer suggestions, saving me from having to record masses of detail.
Now it goes straight to ' Ask Jeeves' - who was always of no help in the past and now does not remember my recent searches, so my searches are slowed up hugely. How can I return to the original format?

N86 keeps asking me to select connection

I hope someone can help. I have recently acquired a Nokia N86 and it keeps asking me to select a connection: WLAN, Internet (my home network connection), WAP Services, Uncategorised. If I select one, a short while later it will ask me again.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it?

 From what i understand from this post is that the application data is not getting downloaded to the client from the server and the data is in O-waiting in the middleware. One possibile reason for this is because of time out in the ABAP Sync Service. There is a parameter named icm/keep_alive_timeout which indicates the time between the last successful query and the termination of connection. The default value for his parameter is 60 seconds. Increasing this value to a higher value (preferably in minutes, depending on your landscape and amount of data) will definitely help. You can probably set the value of this parameter to around 10 mins.
 Go to transaction RZ11 and enter the above parameter name to display the current setting. Inorder to change the default value, please refer to note 824554 which describes this in detail

My search engine choices are missing

Where the search bar is located, the only choice I have is "Firefox Help". I had Google, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves, etc.

Try the Firefox SafeMode.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.
