Defaulting to email provider page

Even though I've added all my email accounts, my iPad often defaults to the email provider page. The only way I've found to get back to email is to add an existing account then subsequently deleting it.
I also then get messages from 'no sender' dated Jan 1970 which Icannot delete but often vanish of their own accord.

My email accounts were set up and operated perfectly until reecently. When I now access the mail app often the page opens with the list of email providers . I cannot get past this to open my email accounts. I have on occasion closed an email account and re-entered it; I've also gone to settings and closed all email accounts and then opened them. Sometimes these actions work but at present nothing works and I cannot receive or send emails.
Any help will be appreciated.

Since my last firefox update, I have been unable to type an email - the box within which one would usually type does not appear when I press 'reply' to a received email, or press 'compose'.     My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now.  About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

  • Indesign defaults to print all pages

    Many times I have printed a single page of a multiple page document, checked it, made a change and then reprinted it... only to have the printer spit out ALL pages instead of the same one I printed earlier.
    The print dialog seems to always default to the all pages setting instead of retaining the last page range requested.
    It appears to preserve all the other print settings - is there any rationale behind this or is it just to keep us on the ball?

    It appears to me that "Help" is incorrect. The calendar selection for printing is ultimately made in the "Print" window using the "Calendars" pane.
    I suggest that you provide iCal Feedback.

    Just so you'll know, there is no Java on that page.  There is, however JavaScript.  You should know that those two things are different as night and day.

  • Thumbnails on provider page

    Anyone else have ing trouble getting new thumbnails to show on the provider page in the new PSM?
    I'll load a new thumbnail image for a collection and the new thumbnail will sometimes show up on the provider page in a day or so, sometimes it never updates, but continues to show the old thumbnail image. The new image will show on the collection page.
    I've even gone as far as creating a new collection, move all the tracks to the feed in the new collection and delete the old collection. The new collection will show the thumbnail for the deleted collection.
    I should also mention the thumbnails even have different filenames.
    This is getting really frustrating.

    Just wondering if you've had any resolution to your thumbnail graphic issue.  Our site has been up since 2008 and although I've encountered issues with the graphics from time to time, your issue is a new one on me!

  • Does Safari's email this page feature work with opening gmail in the browser and not in Mail?

    I use gmail, not mail, as my default email client. When I decided to give the "email this page" feature a try, it only opens up a new gmail compose window/tab in safari but doesn't actually include the link to whatever page I wanted to send. Is this the correct behavior? Is there anyway to go about getting this to work? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

  • I want to open my email using firefox, but since installing Google Chrome, all email links are opened with it, and I don't have access to my firefox tool bars to email a page, etc.

    All email are opened by Google Chrome since I installed it. I want to use Firefox with its toolbars for emailing pages, etc., and there seems to be no easy way to email a page using Chrome.
    I tried uninstalling Chrome, but then could not open any email.

  • My podcasts are showing up on a wrongly named provider page

    I created 4 podcasts that suddenly showed up on a provider page named "Autodesk Maya" (which happens to be the last podcast that I created). This is not the correct name for the provider page as it should be just "Autodesk". As documented in the FAQ, I selected Report a Concern > Remove a Podcast and explained that I wanted to have the provider name corrected for all my podcasts (I listed them in the text box). I got an on-screen message that I had successfully removed my podcast and that was it! So now I am unsure of what is going to happen...do I just wait patiently? Will I be contacted by iTunes Staff by email at some point?

    'Remove a podcast' will get the entire podcast removed from the iTunes Store. The Author name of this podcast is 'Workflows and Dynamic Media Group, Autodesk', which is what it says in the 'itunes:author' tag in your feed - which is at

    It's entirely up to you what it says in this tag: if it's not what you want you can change it wherever you originally entered it in whatever method you are using to create your feed.
    Or are you saying that you have episodes turning up in the wrong podcast? If so it's up to you to remove them from the feed and add them to the correct feed - iTunes simply reads the feed as it stands and takes no action of its own.

  • Safari's Email This Page doesn't launch Mail in Mavericks

    Since upgrading to Mavericks, Safari's "Share | Email This Page" no longer opens Mail if it's not already running. All I get when I try is a system beep. I have to first open Mail in order to send the page link.
    Under ML, Mail didn't have to be open first - it just brought up the new message window and started Mail in the background.
    Is this happening for anyone else?

    I just did what Linc Davis suggested by starting up in safe mode...thank you for posting this Linc.
    I did not disconnet my external Hard Drives, or any of my periphierals (scanner which was not on, printer which was not on, headphones in case that matters...

    you are so right, I did not have the problem in Safe Mode. I sent an email to myself, and the images all looked fine when I recivied the email. (sending a web page via Safari: Share , Email this page)
    What now? How do I know what is causing it in regualar mode? As it is still happening in regular start up mode. See list of login items, and etrecheck report below.
    Was not having this problem w the previous system, Snow Leopard. only since mavericks. Of course safari was a different version then too.
    What do you think?

    just downloaded photoshop elements 11 then I uploaded some photos now I,m trying to send them via email and my computer got stuck on the email registration page and is now just spinning.

    I’ve found it usually works best with web mail via Adobe after obtaining verification. I know some email services block bulk email completely and I’ve only tested it with Gmail which works fine. Should also work with other web mail e.g. Yahoo and Hotmail. Before you start it will help to check your internet security settings. If they are set to High, reduce the settings to Medium temporarily. Then follow these instructions.
    1. Log in to your mail provider on the web and add the following email to your address/contacts book.

    2. Open Organizer and on the menu click:
    Edit >> Preferences >> Sharing
    3. Choose Adobe Email Service from the client dropdown menu.
    4. Add your name and email address to the fields provided and click OK
    5. Test the system (first use only)  by selecting a photo in organizer and choosing Share >> Photo Mail then click Next (Mac users should use attachments)
    6. Choose a contact then click  Next
    7. Click Next Step, then click Next - the sender verification dialog will open.
    8. Check you have spelt your email address correctly and hit the Resend E-Mail button.
    9. Go to your inbox (also check spam) and when the Adobe mailer message is received copy (Ctrl+C) the long verification code.
