Defect Recording for operations in rate routing

Dear Masters,
How to record the defects for the operations defined in rate routing of a material once the inspection lot in generated using TCode MFPR in repetative manufacturing?
Thanks & Regards,
Ram Kulkarni

You mean to say tan is available in rate routing itself ?

  • Class Type 019 for operation classification in Routing

    Hi,
I need to assign class type 019 for classifying operation.
Its giving the below error: "Data for class type 019 has not been converted yet"
The details of the help are as below:
Can any one update the implications of the steps or how can Proceed with this.....
    Diagnosis
You want to define resource selection conditions. In this case, you need to classify the operations with class type 019. The data for class type 019 must be converted first.
    Procedure
    1. In Customizing for the Classification System, call the classifiable object types.
    2. Make a note of the settings for the following objects in object table CRHD (work center) and class type 019:
    AFVC
    CRHD
    PLPO
    3. Delete these objects and save your settings.
    4. In the main menu, choose Tools -> ABAP Workbench, and then Development -> ABAP Editor.
    5. Enter the program name RCCLUKA2 and choose Execute.
    6. Enter class type 019 and choose Execute.
The system converts the data of this class type.
    7. Call the classifiable object types in Customizing for the Classification System again.
    8. Use the settings you have written down to create the objects again that you have deleted before
    Thanks
    Amlan C

    Dear,
The classification data of the resource has not yet been converted.
So that the same classes can be used for defining the selection conditions as for classifying resources, a conversion must be carried out for class type 019.
Please start report RCCLUKA2 in SE38  with the following parameters: Object table:      CRHD
    Class type:        019

  • Difference between Routing & Rate Routing

    Hi All,
can anyone tell me difference between Routing & Rate Routing? can we use routing for REM? if no, then what will be the effect?
    Thanks,
    Rinky

    Hi Rinky ,
Routing and rate routing are task list in broad manner .
standard task list: Describes the worksteps necessary to produce a material or perform an activity without reference to an order.( that means they are created without reference to order )
Essential objects of a task list are header, operations, material component allocations, production resources/tools and inspection characteristics.
Together with specific dates and quantities, task list data forms an important part of the order.
The following task list types exist in the R/3 System:
    routing
    reference operation set
    rate routing
    reference rate routing
    inspection plan
    maintenance task list
    standard network
    master recipe
Routing is created with ca01 and rate routing by ca21 .
Routing is used in discrete manufacuting and rate routing in repetitive .
Rate routing generally has only one operation  and prod line instead of work centers and operations in routings .
Both routings can be used for scheduling , cosing and capacity planning .
Hope this was helpful answer !

  • Rate routing in REM

    Hi all,
I am working on REM and I am bit confused about scheduling and capacity data to be entered in workcenter (production line)
Specially the formulas to be entered in both the tab for REM.
1.I want to capture only Machine and labour time . suggest  the std actvity type , std value key and the formulas related to activity type for both scheduling and capacity defined for REM in the system
    2. my second doubt is unlike in std routing I cant define all the operation in Rate Routing I have to define one operation for one production line. but how to define the so many operations used in one production line.
    3. can I use any control key or is there any specfic control key is there for REM
    4. How user will withdraw the material from store for production . like in discrete we have GI.
    Regards
    Mona

    Dear Monalisa,
1.First understand how a formula works during capacity and scheduling by checking the formula in the work center, for some
base quantity, operation quantity and processing time and then choose the relevant one.
2.normally PP01 is used for inhouse produced operations.
3.In a REM scenario if required the materials(raw materials or the components) will be staged using T.Code -MF60(to
accumulate the stock in the production storage location from which the components should get backflushed).Using this the
system creates a stock transfer reservation for 311 movement for the missing parts.
Input can be the planned orders or production orders or else directly for the BOM explosion with the required quantity of the
header material.Once the stock transfer reservation is done, the same can transferred using MF65.
    Kindly check these threads,

  • CA21 Rate Routing

    Dear Team,
For creating the rate routing do we have any standard program suggested by SAP for uploading the same.
If so what is the template followed and code for the BDC upload on rate routing transaction code CA21.
    Regards,
    Deepak GS

    Hi Deepak,
LSMW should work with the transaction. We have done it through LSMW. As per my knowledge no standard BAPI exista for rate routing.
    Refer below links for LSMW.

  • Code Group on defect recording

    Hi guys,
When I do my defect recording for an inspection characteristic using QE51N, I notice that when I clicks on the Code column, a screen pops up (i.e. Catalog Selection screen), there are three Code Group (i.e. defect types) and its relevant codes.
My question is how on earth that the system automatically pull out these three defect types for this inspection characteristic when I didn't assign these defect types into this inspection characteristic
Does it means when I create the code group A at QS42 using Catalog 9, this code group A will appears on the defect recording screen whenever I want to perform the defect?
    Am I right?
    Thanks

    Yes
Whenever u record defects all code groups with their codes in catalog 9 will appear.
U can avoid this by activating 'defect recording' tick in characteristic control indicator.
then in catalogs enter catalog 9 and give relevent code groups.
Now whenever u record defects of this material it will show u only these defects.

  • Mass change for QM at operation level in routing

    Dear Experts,
I have to carry out mass change for Quality Management at operation level in routing. The steps that I am carrying out for an individual record are as follows.
    1.     CA02
    2.     Inspection point 100 is maintained at header level
    3.     Go to operation level
    4.     At operation level work center and control key have been maintained
    5.     Double click on operation
    6.     When I scroll down here I go to Quality Management: Inspection Points view.
    7.     There by default in Insp.pointCompletion system shows the option as u201CQuantity, valuation (production) and radio button selected default indicates u201CQty-relatedu201D
    8.     I want to change these options as only u201CValuationu201D and u201CNo relationu201D respectively
    My queries are,
    1.     Is there any T-code available to carry out these changes in mass?
    2.     Is it possible to do this without any Z development?
I am doubtful about using LSMW here. I would be highly grateful to you if someone can help me step by step.
    Thanking you,
    Anand Rao

    Hi Sujit,
    Thanks for your reply!
I tried CWBQM. Unfortunately could not succeed. I think may not be feasible through CWBQM.
But I came across T-Code CEWB . There I opted "SAP_OPERATION" as working area and it worked. Its quite useful T-Code.
    Thanks again for your input.

  • CEWB for Rate Routing

    Hi..
I have one query reference to CEWB ,is there any selection criteria for selecting task list type R(Rate Routing) in CEWB.
I have checked the same in CEWB found only Routing,Reference operation set,Inspection plan.
I have checked also op77 but it is bydefault Routings for production & not the rate routing one.
Any suggestions to above issue pl.

    Hi Anupam,
    Thanx for reply...
I have checked the settings which you have mentioned & tried with the selection criteria as you said but not possible  with desired result as there are only three task list type selection as mentioned above .
I have also checked OP77 ,I tried to create new work area with usage area "R-Repetitive manufacturing" but it is bydefault comes with Routings for production.
Is there any setting  which I couldn't incorporate?

  • Delete rate routing particular operation

    Dear all,
In rate routing i need to need delete only operation 10 & 40 for this how handle this transaction in SAP.
    Example:
    10     Dummy
    20     Operation
    30     Operation
    40     Dummy
    Advance thanka
    By
    jack

    Dear
There is no SAP Standrad Txn to mass delete operation in Rate rouning or any  type of routing .Even there is no FM or BAPI available for change routing. in mass but  you have BAPI for routing display and create
The best option will be discuss with your  ABAPER  to develop a RFC enabled FM (called as RFC in Technical language)  and ask him to include BDC code for change operation/delete operation and all other thinghs which you want your BAPI should
    want you to perform .
    Hope this helps

  • Pro & cons for Routings vs Ref Rate Routing

One of our plants uses Reference Rate Routings (CA31, 32, 33). Many colors of vinyls are processed the same way producing many individual material numbers. So one Ref Rate Routing has many Materials assigned to it.
Recently an engineer in other plant found that he can do the same material assignment on Routings (CA01, 02, 03)
What are the pro & cons for Routings vs Ref Rate Routing when doing Material assignments
thank you for any information you can provide
    Althea

    Dear,
Reference routing is usually used for calling the set of operation can be used manr routings so it is reusage.
Suppose a cleaning  operation is having 5 operations. This is used in may places. Then create a routing and call this operation set wherever required. Hence you need not repeate defining the operations in each time.

  • Automatic POP screen for Defect Recording

    Hi,
I am working at Result recording, my client want to record the defect at time of result recording with help of Automatic POP screen of defect overview. I did not find the assignment for automatic POP screen for Defect,
Pl helps me for finding that solution

    Hi,
You can get the automatic POP screen for Defect Recording after you Reject the characteristics in the result recording. For that you need to flag the Defect recording check box in the control indicators of the inspection characteristics.
If you are using the task list then select the inspection characteristics and then click on the control indicators. Flag (check) the Defect recording check box in the tab results confirmation.
If you are using the master inspection characteristics the click on the control indicators and flag (check) the Defect recording check box in the tab results confirmation.
By this way you can get the pop up. You can also get the automatic defect codes assigned to your result recording after rejecting. For that you need to assign the defect code in the catalogs of your inspection characteristics or master inspection characteristics.
Please give points if found useful.

  • IN PROCESS DEFECT RECORDING

    Hi
How to do Result Recording , Defect Recording in the Repetative manufacturing.
In our senerio their is no Operational Coding
Once we put the material in the production line we get the finished product only two types of codes are their 1) raw material 2) Finished Goods
Now i want to put a inspection point in between the Production  Process and record the Defects after the 3 operation ...
    Regards
    ramanujam

    Hi!,
You will have to use inspection type "13" as inspection type "03" will not work in case of repetitive manufacturing. Please note that you will have to trigger the inspection lot manually by using transaction MFPR. You can inspection lot with reference to material, plant and production version combination. There you have choice in version selection. Also there won't be any inventory posting in this inspection processing. While defining the rate routing you will have to maintain QM related data. for the intended operations and that routing is to be used while defining the production version. Inspection point related data is to be entered in rate routing header. Once the inspection lot is created manually, rest of the process of result recording etc is normal. I hope this helps in resolving your problem.
