Defects Recording in MIC

Hello
When we set this indicator , i am getting a warning message in QS21 / QP01. I already assigned the code 9 to the relevant plant .
But the warning message was suppressed if i assign any one of the code from code 9 in MIC or Inspection plan .
What was the concept behind it ?
I want to use the code in the defects recording only

The defect recording tick in the mic is for automatic defect recording. What this means is if an inspection characteristic is rejected during results recording, the function for recording defects for a characteristic is automatically called up. Defects recording in the background is done if you define defect codes in the inspection characteristic.You can specify three defect codes for a quantitative characteristic:A defect code for a general rejection,A defect code for a rejection at an upper specification limit,A defect code for a rejection at a lower specification limit
If you do not need this functioanlity remove the tick from MIC. You can anyway o defect recording without this tick also

Automatic defect recording

Dear all
During recording result if ant characteristic is valuated as reject,a screen should pop up automatically for defect recording.but is not coming.so how can i do this .any configuration required in spro.

Pl check wheather you have ticked defects recording(in Results confirmation)and RR change docs (In miscellaneous)in your MIC

Defects Recording in QE11

Hi
Can anyone sugggest me bapi for recording defects after the results recording in QE11. I am using BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS for results recording but there is no option for defects recording in that bapi.
can anyone suggest me an appropriate bapi for the same.

Defect recording

hello guys,
I have a requirement that if the part got failed at the incoming inspection,some thing should trigger the quality notification before they do the UD rejection.Normally, we will click the defect icon at the RR to process quality notification manually.
But is there any way that if somebody forgot to click the defect at RR and if they directly trying to do the UD ,it should have some control to restrict him and say to process quality notification ?
I agree even if we forget they can manually write the quality notification thru qm01 but they dnt like that and they need some cntrol on this.
I saw some defect recording option at MIC control indicators .....is that helps on my rqmt ?

I hope youi have done following cofig:
QCC0>Quality inspection>maintain Inspection type>select 01 inspection type>Notification type:F2
Now
QCC0>quality planning>Basic data>Define catlog Class>select class -->Click on Active notification.
If you set this indicator, the quality notification (already existing) is immediately activated, when the defect data record is created. This means, that the quality notification receives the status "Outstanding notification" (OSNO).
That means Notification will automatically remain in OSNO even if user do not create it manually.
even if user forget to trigger it it will be geenarted & remain open.
This will solve your problem

IN PROCESS DEFECT RECORDING

How to do Result Recording , Defect Recording in the Repetative manufacturing.
In our senerio their is no Operational Coding
Once we put the material in the production line we get the finished product only two types of codes are their 1) raw material 2) Finished Goods
Now i want to put a inspection point in between the Production Process and record the Defects after the 3 operation ...

Hi!,
You will have to use inspection type "13" as inspection type "03" will not work in case of repetitive manufacturing. Please note that you will have to trigger the inspection lot manually by using transaction MFPR. You can inspection lot with reference to material, plant and production version combination. There you have choice in version selection. Also there won't be any inventory posting in this inspection processing. While defining the rate routing you will have to maintain QM related data. for the intended operations and that routing is to be used while defining the production version. Inspection point related data is to be entered in rate routing header. Once the inspection lot is created manually, rest of the process of result recording etc is normal. I hope this helps in resolving your problem.

Hi,
You can get the automatic POP screen for Defect Recording after you Reject the characteristics in the result recording. For that you need to flag the Defect recording check box in the control indicators of the inspection characteristics.
If you are using the task list then select the inspection characteristics and then click on the control indicators. Flag (check) the Defect recording check box in the tab results confirmation.
If you are using the master inspection characteristics the click on the control indicators and flag (check) the Defect recording check box in the tab results confirmation.
By this way you can get the pop up. You can also get the automatic defect codes assigned to your result recording after rejecting. For that you need to assign the defect code in the catalogs of your inspection characteristics or master inspection characteristics.

Defect recording in back date

Dear All,
Can we have defect recording in back date?
The requirement is bcz at the end of the month PP team confirms the prod in back date at the begining of the new month but after physical observations of the products, it is found there are some defectives and defect recording is being done with respect to the insp lot (03).
Now as client has customized report of rejections details and it is possible to have the production details even after the 1st or 2nd day of the month (Back date postings) but the defect recorded on 1st or 2nd is updating in the system on the same day.
Due to this we require to have the defect recording in back date to fetch the data in the rejections report.
Kindly suggest is there any way to adjust the defect recording dates with the order confirmations date.?

Using long term inspection doesnt work and client dont want to go for manual lot creation stuff bcz its not practically possible due to having hundreds of materials for daily transaction.

[SOLVED] Whirring noise in recording via mic - will HW mixing help?

I'm getting whirring noise in mic recording (adjustng mic and mic-boost does not help) it also happens on ubuntu 11.04; so I guess it is a hardware issue. Strangely, I hear no noise in Windows XP in recording (sound recorder). Whereas in Archlinux, skype, audacity, arecord, gnome-sound-recorder all are having whirring noise.
I guess, it might have something to do with Intel Audio, so I'm planning to buy Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1 (emu10k1), which has Hardware Mixing feature supported by Alsa.
Do you know any way to "suppress noise" and "echo cancellation" in arch for microphone recording?
Please advise.

I went to the computre hardware market today to buy 'Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1 with emu10k1 chipset'.
I thought that having hardware mixing (HWMIX) will fix noise, as the sound card is shielded from interference.
But, unfortunately or fortunately, the SBS 5.1 is not available in the market. only SBS 5.1VX model which has a different chipset is available.
So, I retured a bit disappointed thinking that the evil microsoft has caused the soundcard manufactureres to stop support to non MS OS, oh my poor linux hardware!

I tried fiddling with sample rate, and you know what, the whirring noise is gone. It's like Windows (without fan noise suppression and echo cancellation but no static noise)
HURRAY I FOUND THE SOLUTION: setting the sound-card sampling-rate to 96000 (for my intel sound card) fixes the noise!
Here's HOWTO fix microphone noise problem in linux which was bugging me for many years!
1. Determine soundcards in the system
$ arecord --list-devices

Now that we got the max-sampling-rate to 96000, we should set this in pulseaudio's configuration file /etc/pulse/daemon.conf. So first test it:
Just a quick test
arecord -f dat -r 96000 -D hw:0,0 -d 5 test.wav
And surprise, surprise, no whirring static noise in the mic recording in linux. Hurray again!
3. Setting the soundcard's sampling rate into pulse audio configuration
the default sample-rate in pulseaudio is
cat /etc/pulse/daemon.conf|grep sample-rate
output wrote:; default-sample-rate = 44100
we got 44100 and which is disabled
Let's set that to our hardware specific settings:
su -c "sed 's/; default-sample-rate = 44100/default-sample-rate = 96000/g' -i /etc/pulse/daemon.conf"
let's verify the changes to deamon.conf
cat /etc/pulse/daemon.conf|grep sample-rate
output wrote:default-sample-rate = 96000
It's done
4. Restart pulseaudio to apply the new settings
pulseaudio --kill
pulseaudio --start

Cannot record a mic with Audigy 2 ZS through Logic Platinum 5.1

Hi, ive got the SB Audigy 2 ZS sound card and am having some problems with ASIO... i can record a mic through the mic input when using PC AV with my card, but when i try to use ASIO i cant record with a mic. I would use PC AV but the latency is way too high on it, ive looked around loads of forums including Logic forums but no one seems to have an answer to this problem, and most of the time it goes unreplied.. does anyone know of anything i can do to get my card to record in ASIO??

Here, there are two buttons, one starts recording and the other stops recording. The resulting .swf file is only 2kb in size and it doesn't do what it is supposed to do.
What am I doing wrong here? Other players similar to this have sizes in the range of 80-100 kb.

Defects recording against inspection lot

When I am trying to use BAPI QIRF_GET_DEFECT_ITEMS to write defects against inspection lot i am getting below error message. 'Record type not planned for defect confirmation'.

Deactivate Quality Notification During Defect Recording

Hi,
How will I deactivate the Quality Notification Tabs during Defect Recording? Because it is showing a red traffic light which user dont want to see and mis understood that there is something wrong.

What you can do is remove the creation of automatic notification in the background.
QCC3->inspection lot creation>Maintain Inspection type->select inspec type--->remove defualt " notification type".
This will neither create notification nor give pop-up.

Hi,
It is not a problem follow the below step.
1). Go QM01 enter notification type Q3 (Manual Defect and Notification creation) and press enter.
2). After enter system will raise the one pop up screen here enter the production order as well as operation number and press enter.
3), After that it will open defect with notification screen here you can enter defect qty, defect code reason, causes etc and save.
For any query revert.
