Deferred Credits

Dear All,
Please advcie me how to do settinggs for deferred credits in below scenario.
Client bought 2 Airconditoners. At the Bigining of this year invoice is created to client for AMC for full year.
At the end of March client gave one month notice that they wish to cancel AMC on 1 A.C
So they were going to short pay the invoice.
Now, invoice reflects 2 x 400 = 800/month x 12 months = 9600 (plus applicable tax)
auto-deferred the AMC to release monthly as...800
Now client is short-paying due to cancellation
1 x 400 = 400/month x 8 months = 3600 (plus applicable tax)
If we process a credit for short payment then revenue hit fully but actually revenue is not recognized as it is releasing 800/month.
Kinldy provide me some inputs on this.
TIA

pls some one help me in this issue.
TIA,
Kogi.

  • SD Revenue Recognition-Account settings for deferring COGS

    Hi Experts
In the current process, COGS, cost of goods sold is getting posted into the COGS G/L account, while creation of billing document.
In VF44 transaction, we find option for VPRS cost being captured against every line item & are available for posting along with revenue line.
In that case, if we have to defer the COGS while creating the billing document & would recogonize it while running VF44 alone with the revenue lines, could you suggest me the account setting to be done for the same?
    Anticipating earliest responses
    Thanks

    hi
820417 - Implementation Guide for Revenue Recognition
779365 - Best Practice document for revenue recognition
    REVENUE RECOGNITION
In revenue recog. you can create your billing documents and they will be passed to accountings. But in this case your customer account would be debited and deferred accounts would be credited.
The purpose of revenue recognition is that you can post all the revenues from a deferred account to sales revenue account for a particular period together for all the docs. through transaction VF44.
if you can se your sales docs no. in VF44,then your revenue recognition is successful.Press on collective processing inside VF44 for posting the revenues from deffered acc to sales revenue account.
Configuration part includes the setting of revenue recog. in item category by following the path sd-basic functionsaccount assnmnt/costingrevenue recog.
Then you have to assign G/L accounts. In the first column of assigning g/l accounts ,enter your sales revenue account and in the second column enter deferred revenue accounts.Deferred revenue account is a spcl g/l account.
Don't forget to enter reconcilliation account in your customer master as well.
It may happen that in revenue recog item categories fields may greyed out but you have to get authorization for your id from a basis guy.
:The point at which revenue (income) is credited to a revenue account in General Ledger. There are three possible types
Time-based : Revenue is recognized in equal proportions between specific start and end dates based on the number of posting periods defined at the company level. Revenue recognition for time-based documents can occur before, during, or after the invoice process.
Performance-based : Revenue is recognized based on the occurrence of certain events such as goods issue or the performance of a service. Revenue recognition for performance-based documents can occur before, during, or after the invoice process.
Standard : Revenue is recognized at time of invoice:
The specified item was not found.

    CONTRACTS
Lets take standard CQ contract type:
First maintain customer - material info record in VD51 T-code
Secondly maintain pricing for customer / material or only material combination in VK31 / VK11 T-code
Then use VA41 T-code to create a contract
    VA42 to change contract
VA43 to display / view contract
In VA41, enter the document type CQ, followed by the sales area details,
    Enter Sold to party.
    Enter PO number
    Enter PO Date
    Enter Validitiy from Date
    Enter Validity to Date
    Enter Material
Enter Quantity say 999,999,999 or any other higher quantity as it is referred again and agaain
    Hit Enter.
    Save.

  • Making SKTO condition type as 0% in case of credits

    Hi All,
This is about the common scenario where in we give the credit back to the customer in normal practice as well in case of returns.
The requirement is that whenever I create a credit memo (G2) or credit for returns (RE) , the SKTO should read as 0%. The catch here is that since the credit  memos are cretaed with reference to the orignal billing doc the SKTO condition which has the % discount copied from the payment terms is going to get copied in the credit memo request .
Moreover there might be scenarios where the credit memo request is created independently w/o reference to  the original doc . So even in this case the SKTO is going to have  the % discount . It is because of this reason why I don't want to change/create any copy control routine from the original invoivce to the credit memo request doc.
    My question is :
    1. Is it possible to have the SKTO read as 0 % in case of credits ( G2 & RE) docs even though the credit memo request has a payment term which has the (xyz) % discount . ?
    2. If I am going to change the copy controls from CR to G2 or RE (returns) to RE (credit for returns), how
would I need to do ?
The Whole essence of this requirement is that my business doesn't want the cash discount (SKTO) to figure when they issue a credit.
    Thanks
    Sridhar

    Hi Lakshmi,
Thanks for your suggestion .But I have bottlenecks in both the cases:
    1. In case 1 if I have to change the pricing procedure I need to introduce 2 new pricing procedures as we have 2 different products and both of them use different pricing procedures. This is a viable solution ,but I need to spend most of the time convincing the business that it doesn't impact anything .
    2. In case 2 , I have 2 credit scenarios ,(i) normal credit memos (ii) credit for returns . I have  the F2 -G2 in VTFF,but there is no F2-RE as of now . So I might have to create this . SInce this both the billing types are standard, is it recommended to create F2 -RE in VTFF?. Please let me know .
OR as said by Mr .Shivram , I am looking at the option of modifying the requirement 6 assigned to SKTO in the pricing procedure .
    Thanks

  • Postfix relay=none, ... status=deferred (Host or domain name not found...

    Hi,
I actually posted this question 2 weeks ago but under the wrong topic. So, first of all wanted to apologise for double-posting... but since no one replied, I thought I'd try again under the right topic.
I've been trying to solve this all day today (that was Feb 26th). I used to be able to send emails but for some reason it does not work anymore. At first I thought it was a problem with php (I use entropy pack php 5.2.6) but after searching the topic, I think it is a problem with my network. BTW OS is 10.5.5 and Postfix version 2.4.3
First of all, after computer restart, I don't think postfix starts automatically
Running 'sudo postfix start' gives me:
postfix/postfix-script: starting the Postfix mail system
    Looking at '/var/log/mail.log' I find:
    Feb 27 12:51:04 AMs-MBP postfix/qmgr331: AA70A7A7C77: from=<[email protected]>, size=842, nrcpt=1 (queue active)

Running 'sudo postfix check' does not give me any errors
Checking my '/etc/resolv.conf' it has nameserver 192.168.1.1
    Running 'ifconfig | grep netmask | grep -v 127.0.0.1 | awk {'print $2'}L' gives:
    192.168.1.5
Checking http://switch.richard5.net/2006/08/19/fatal-open-lock-file-pidmasterpid/ and running 'launchctl list' gives me a long list but no item matches org.postfix.master
    Running 'ps aux|grep postfix' gives

Running 'postconf inet_interfaces' at first gave me
    inet_interfaces = localhost
which I changed to All in '/etc/postfix/main.cf'
    I looked at http://www.postfix-book.com/debugging.html
Running 'telnet localhost 25' gives me

Running 'ping 134.169.9.107' takes a long time. After a while I stop it and get:

I have not idea what the problem is and/or how to fix it. I know the messages get to the postfix daemon but for some reason they do not continue on their way.
Please, does anyone have an idea of how to fix this?
    TIA,
    Elle

Dynamic IP addresses with DynDNS Updater (or equivalent) makes it pretty darned reliable, particularly if you buy DynDNS' Mailhop Forward service, which prevents the likes of roadrunner.com and aol.com from blocking mail coming from your server just because it lives in dynamicIP-land. Way cheaper than paying your ISP extra for a static IPA, too, and totally acceptable for low-volume, residential-based servers for personal not-for-profit use.
Regarding reliable delivery to a dynIPA server, you are only at risk of non-receipt for perhaps a few minutes immediately following when your ISP rotates your WAN IPA, until DynDNS Updater (or equivalent) updates the DynDNS (or equivalent) servers with your new WAN IPA. But that's really not a problem because I think all, well, okay, most, smtp servers will queue for a redelivery attempt if the initial delivery attempt just happens to occur at that time.
I wouldn't suggest this practice for high-volume enterprise-class servers or for people trying to run a bootleg mail server business for profit (besides, the ISP would shut it down as an abuse of terms of service, anyways), but for low-volume, residential-based servers for personal use and enjoyment, which I suspect is the case for the O.P., I can't say that I find anything unreliable about my dynamic IP-based mail server.

I bought an iTunes gift card, reedemed it, and when i try to buy a game it doesn't let me use my credits, but instead I have to buy it using my Visa card?

What exactly do you see when trying to buy a game, what messages do you get on-screen ?
If it's an account that you've just created then unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method
then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store. You should be able to remove the card after entering its details.
If you are getting a prompt to review the account then you could see if this post by mountaingoatgirl lets you do so without needing to enter credit card details : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24303054#24303054

    HI All,
I have a Problem with Romming Between SSIDs withing the same WLC but with deferent VLAN . the WLC are providing the HQ and one of the Branches the Wireless services .
Am using all the available 9 SSIDs at the HQ , and am using only 4 of it at the Brnche.
The problem that i have are happening only at the Branch office as i cant room between the SSIDs within Diferent VLANs but i can do it with the one that pointing to the same VLAN. Once the client ( Laptop/Phone ) connected to one of the SSIDs. it imposiible to have him connected to the other ones with Different VLAN. meanwhile, It says its connected to the other SSID but its not getting IP from that pool.

Well you need to understand the behavior of h-reap or what it's called now, FlexConnect. In this mode, the clients are still remembers on the WLC until the session timer/idle timer expires. So switching between SSID's in h-reap will not be the same when switching when the AP's are in local mode.
Take a look at the client when connected in FlexConnect in the WLC GUI monitor tab. Thus will show you what ssid and vlan the client is on. Now switch to a different ssid and compare this. It's probably the same because the client has not timed out. Now go back to the other ssid and look again. Now on the WLC, remove or delete the client and then switch to the other ssid at the same time. Or switch SSID's and then remove the client. The client will join the new ssid and in the monitor tab, you should see the info.
There is no need to have clients have multiple SSID's unless your testing. Devices should only have one ssid profile configured to eliminate any connectivity issues from the device wanting to switch SSID's.

  • I received a gift card and when I redeemed it an error message said that I had some itunes files missing and that I needed to reinstall itunes.  Will I still have all my credits when I download itunes?

I received an online gift card for Father's Day.  When I tried to redeem the gift then I received a error message saying I had some itune files missing and I needed to reinstall/download itunes.  Will I still have my previous purchase credits after downloading and reistalling itunes?

You will, because the credited funds are on your iTunes account, not the application. When you reinstall iTunes just configure it with your old iTunes account and your credits will be there waiting for you.

  • HT1918 Why am I not able to access my balance that is posted to my itunes for purchases? I'm directed only to the credit card information page or I'm asked for the pin # from the itunes card; which was thrown away when I was credited with the balance?

Why was I able to redeem my ITunes card and have a balance that is shown next to my email address as an available balance to purchase ITunes for my IPod, but when I try to purchase any songs/albums, I am directed to the credit card/billing information page whichis telling me I need to provide that information in order to buy siad albums or songs when I have a credit already from the card?  I also get directed to a page where I'm required to provide a code from the card I had already used and obtained a balance from, therefore, the card was disposed of as I had no longer any use for it; so I thought....
How am I supposed to be able to use the credited balance that's already posted to my ITunes account?
Am I missing a step or something? Because I am honestly lost as to what to do or how to proceed from here! Please, if you know what I need to do, I am desperate and very frustrated looking for answers.

  • Payment program-Vendor credits

    Hi Gurus
can you please help me with this issue.
We have a regular invoice of 5000$ and a Vendor credit for 900$, but the F110 payment run is not picking the 900$ credit but picking the invoice 5000. The credits are past due also.
It gives me the error "No pymt possible because items with a debit bal.still exist; see job log".
Both the documents has the payment method on them, but still the credits are not being cleared...please advise.
    Thanks
    MSJ

    Hi MSJ,
While selecting the Invoice and Creidt Memo from Same vendor system compares some fields in both the documents and only if these field entries in both the document marches system sets off the document against each other.
In your case i think there is some diff in the field entries that system matches. Kindly check the same.
Please go through the note 164835
    Please assign points if helpful.

  • F110 for vendor invoices which are debits and for credits BVTYP are used

    Dear all,
    I have the following situation:
    - 1 vendor with many documents to pay
    - some documents have 1 line item that is a debit (positive value in FBL1N)
    - this vendor has 2 bank accounts in master data and I would like to pay the second one, so the Partner Bank Type (BVTYP) field is filled with number 1 and 2
    - before payment at FBL1N, I execute the mass modification of all documents putting the number 2 at the BVTYP field
    - but when I execute the proposal at F110, only the documents with debit have error: No pymt possible because items with a debit bal, but the total is credit for vendor
I have seen that when I do not fill the BVTYP field in the documents, the F110 is executed normally, I mean, it considers debits and credits (we have previously created a new payment form for this kind of vendors, one that could consider debits and credits).
PS: at FBL1N, when I open the document with the debit item, it doesn't show the field BVTYP.
Is there any kind of configuration that I have to make to F110 start considering the filled BVTYP field?
    Thanks in advance.

  • A Long DEFERRED Decision – That Proved IMPRUDENT

    Dear Thorsten,
A Long DEFERRED Decision – That Proved IMPRUDENT
I had been a NOKIA Loyalist ever since it launched its first best seller 1100. And thereafter the journey passed through 2600, N70, N72, N73, N97, E5, E6, and Lumia 800 and stopped at Lumia 820 when I felt the strong urge of faster mailing service due to my official commitments.
Meanwhile; to my Good Fortune (which unfortunately proved to be not-so-good) BlackBerry came out with BB10. Since you still are undisputed and uncrowned prince of flawless mailing system, I without giving second thought decided to Cross-the-Floor and join the Band Wagon of BlackBerry. Although I liked Z10 & Q10 in the first glance and after having a feel of them, the price-tag did not let me take the immediate plunge and hence I waited for Q5. And this proved to be the Biggest Mistake-Of-The-Recent-Times Of My Life.
Because to keep the price low, you have drastically compromised with the quality as Q5 which is atleast 90% inferior to Q10.
The major problems I have been facing with Q5 are:-
    1.    The OBSTINATE touch – One needs to literally RUB The Screen To Get It Unlocked
    2.    Cumbersome Configuring Process Of Mail – Although I have configured my mails on the same, it keeps throwing messages to reconfigure it time-n-again for no valid reasons.
    3.    Fragile SIM & MMC Compartment – The cover keeps opening on its own without applying any pressure or effort, which may lead to breakage – example of poor designing.
    4.    Drastically Slow – Inspite of having a Good Processor, the Video Streaming and Downloading is very very slow.
    5.    Silent Profile Is Too Silent – When the phone is kept on the Vibrate Only Mode it becomes almost dead as one cannot get to feel the vibration when in the pocket.
In a nutshell all I can see that You Have Reduced The ‘PIZZA’ To ‘CHAPATI’ In Order To Bring Down The Cost.
I am not sure what to do now as I am in Catch 22 situation – I am into  BBian era but only as good as belonging to Barbarian Age.
And before I forget - even after using it for over a fortnight, I am not able to configure BBM because every time it throws a message "TEMPORARY SERVER ERROR" (which in fact is PERPETUAL) . Extremely sorry state of affairs at my end - what to do?
    Best regards.

I have no idea what you're speaking of: I have never said that BlackBerry was anything of a "0 defect company", as a matter of fact if you knew me, you would know that I often make critical oberservations of the company, it's products and services.

'''bold text''I receive hundred's of emails from various websites (members) each time i clik on one of these emails,I receive a certain amount of credits that i use to advertise with or promote my business.
I promote through these websites credit mailers system & thats why i need to gather credits? My question is,when i clik on one email and receive the credits for that email in my account, when i close out this email ,why can't i just move on to the next email and so on instead of firfox closing out and i have to restart firefox each time for each email?? inernet exployer doesn't do this,it remains open!!

Are you using Firefox at a web mail website, or are you using a separate email program?
    Assuming the former. <br />
Are those individual emails opening in a new window? <br />
Or are they opening in the same window as the one with the "inbox"?
