Define Default Values for Value Categories-reg

Hi Experts,
What will be the effect in cost tab in MO,if I dont maintain the Define Default Values for Value Categoriesin SPRO.Because by just maintaining Value categories and its cost element assignment,Iam getting the planned and actual cost in cost tab of order.
Pl clarify.

Yes,u r right..without assigning default values also u can get the P/A cost in PM order.But,Suppose u have created 4 different value categories,ex-
Mech Spares
Elect Spares
Civil Spares
Maint Services
and u are assigning all these as default value categories,if ur maint order has only cost against mech spares it will show the cost incurred against that and cost against other value categories will be shown 0 in cost overview..
u can try it!!!

    Take a constant for sender side and give the value for that constant.After that take a value mapping function fron Conversions of Mapping Functions.
    And give the values of  Value Mapping Context as :http://sap.com/xi/XI
    After that define Agency and Schema for sender and Refceiver with values what ever u have manually.

  • How to define default subtypes for Infotype 0105 on entry

    Hello;
      I have spend an entire day trying to look into PA configuration to determin how to make specific Subtype of the 0105 Communication Infotype automatically appear when an HR person is entering in a new employee.
    Currently we have the 0001, 0010, and ADP subtypes automatically appear in the Communication Infotype screen when the person is entering in a new employee.  I was asked to create three new Subtypes for Infortype 0105 and have these new subtypes automatically appear on the data entry screen for Infotype 0105.
    I can not find anywhere in configuration how to do this.  I ahve burnt an entire day searching configuration and have about had it with this garbage.
    Can someone please point me to specific spot in configuration where these subtypes of and Infotype can be identified as default data entry screens.
    I would greatly appreciate any help ... since I am not a HR Configurator ... just a plain old ABAP'er who has lost our configurators.

    To create subtypes follow:
    Tcode: SPRO
    Path: Personnel Management>Personnel Administration>Communication>Create Communication Types
    Half the job is done. Then include those subtypes in your hiring action. To do so:
    Tcode: SPRO
    Path: Personnel Management>Personnel Administration>Customizing Procedures>Actions>Define infogroups>Info group
    Select your hiring infogroup and create new entries with operation INS for 105 and the three subtypes.
    You are all set!

    When I got to Dictionary: Dispaly Domain and click on tab value range; I get the template showing Fix. Val and its associated short text.
    I want to fetch the short text for a particular fix. val for a domain.
    How can I do that ? What table can I use it ? Or do I need to use some function module ?
    Lets say I want to fetch the short text for a given Fix val. for domain VBELN.
    Please help me out.

    You can use Function Module 'FM_DOMAINVALUE_CHECK' to get the fixed values of any domain.

  • Defining default field for cursor in an infotype

    What defines which field on an infotype (e.g. it0032) that the cursor defaults to.  I'm having problems due to the cursor defaulting to the "from" date field in our development clients, and it defaulting to the "previous personnel number" field in our test clients.  I'm using identical user ID's in each client.  Is there a setting in the IMG that would control which field that the cursor defaults into?

    Hi Experts,
    Could You, pls help me to define default parameters for production order related purchasing data?
    We have a special production, when no BOM used for component list, but components are identified one-by-one in production order. And out of this unique demand we create a PR.
    When a component (with no material number) is defined in production order, purchasing value also need to be maintained (such as purchasing group, G/L account , material group). These data always need to be added manually, whoever they are rather standard - so I have tried to set default value as parameter, using parameter ID, but it did not work.
    Do You happened to know, how to set default value for this feature?

    OBYC is not used only for automatic account determination for goods movements (stock items).
    For instance, it is used in shipment costing too:

    G/L acocunt is determined in the shipment cost document, after that of course it will be used by system when posting the goods receipt (service item).
    In production order, in the component overview, the G/L account is determined in the way as I discribed. When creating the PR system uses account assignment category "F", and for this G/L account can be determined by OBYC - this is what is happeneing, just a step before, in the production order and it will be copied to PR (I guess).
    (I tried to modify the G/L account in OBYC and the change was reflected in PrdOrd for the component, so it is working fine)
    As for the user exit: be careful when testing it by debugging. Program run several times reaches it, it is not enough to overwrite the values in the internal structures only once (I'm speaking here about G/L account --> the mentioned account determination overwrites it values a few times - I would set the G/L account not via the exit, but by OBYC)

    In COPA Derivation rules you can only map characteristic.. i mean you can derive only Characteristic values not for Value fields.
    Value fields are normally mapped with SD conditions or GL accounts.
    If you want to manipulate or recalculate the values flowing into value fields you need to use enhancements.
    In this step you can set up system enhancements which are not supported in the standard R/3 System. These so-called "standard enhancements" can be used in the following areas of Profitability Analysis as below.
    Derivation of characteristic values        (COPA0001)
    Valuation                                    (COPA0002)
    Direct postings to profitability segments  (COPA0003)
    Currency translation                        (COPA0004)
    Actual data update                          (COPA0005)

  • Default Data for Document Fields D_CUII_TYP

    Hi experts,
    I am trying to define default data for document fields in Export Switzerland.
    Source field is G_IMPCN,  target field is D_CUII_TYP.
    I create the following master data, i.e.
    G_IMPCN = 39095000
    D_CUII_TYP = FREI
    meaning if G_IMPCN is 39095000 then Legal Document Type FREI is being created automatically.
    Then I run the default data function on document level but nothing happens.
    The log shows G_IMPCN with value 39095000 but D_CUII_TYP = FREI is missing.
    Do you have any idea what else I should do to resolve this issue ?

    Hi Corine,
    Be careful with the logs, they are quite confusing as sometimes it displays the value it is looking for and sometimes the value it has foud. And sometimes the green and red lights are wrong or put in a logic that is confusing.
    Most likely it does not find the value because it is looking in the Import numbering in the import scheeme. Did you try with STAWN ? At any rate, if I may suggest, you need to setup the system with having the commodity code in the Declaration, because if you do not have the Scheme CHEXP defined in the Scheme for commodity code you are going to face trouble when trying to retransfer the Tarification to the feeder System.

  • How to pass dynamic values to value mapping? please help!

           I have requirement where I am using email adapter to send emails. Now the "To" email address is different for different environment. In other words:
    DEV - [email protected]
    TEST - [email protected]
    PROD - [email protected]
    When the XI code is migrated to TEST environment the email address will be [email protected] and in production it will be [email protected]
    Similarly, there are many more environments.
    Now to handle this I have decided to use value mapping where Agency refers to the type of environment.
    Now my problem is how do I use it in message mapping.
    I have wriiten a java function that returns me the type of environment. But now how to use this value for value mapping. I mean when using value mapping in message mapping we hardcode the agency (environment type).
    Is it possibel to specify a variable in value mapping for agency. The variable will be populated by java function before connecting to value mapping?

    Hi Gopal,
    why don't you use a "if" after your UDF. Depending on the return parameter of the UDF you call different value mappings?

    But, default document type is not "S21" but "NB" in ME21N
    ( system ver. 710)

  • Defining default value for financial reports display in the workspace (9.3)

    Hi
    I need to change the default value for financial reports workspace preview mode, for every workspace user. It is actually set on html, and I would like to have pdf instead.
    This option can be changed when logged on the workspace, in file->preferences->financial reporting->default preview mode. However I want every user to start with the right settings, so they dont have to change anything manually.
    I have tried to do it with Shared Services : under projects, BI+, assign preferences. From there I can change the default folder and the start page (the general preferences), however I cannot find the options for financial reporting.
    Is there a way to change these values with hyperion tools ?
    If not, is it possible to change it directly in the repository DB ?Thanks and best regards

    We looked at this about 2 years ago - from memory, you can only set preferences when the users are first setup in Shared Services, under the manage preferences section of the wizard.
    I can't remember if there is a settings file you can edit for the default users - i think there is, but again this must be set before users are set up.
    We looked at changing users preferences, but gave up on the idea as all users had been provisioned already :-(

    I need to set a default value for a zfeild using status profile.Although we can default the values,using getter and setter methods,but in my requirement,the feild will be defaulted when the page is locked,also in display mode,which will require me to write code to unlock then set the value and then write a commit,as there wont be any user action performed.
    I have created a zstatus profile and have set the required status to inital,but no luck
    please suggest if this canbe achived through status profile.

    Hi,
    You can check in the getter if the Page is locked and then display the value to want to display. Note that this will be just Displaying the default value for the Zfield and it will not set the default value into  the Zfield in DB, because when the document is locked ( means locked for editing - mostly when system status is completed ) , setters are not called and so you can display the value but cant set it. This is fine if the value you want to display in Z field is just for user's informations and its not required to save this default value.
    The best approach would be to set the value in the Zfield before the page is locking. For example, If you wat to set the zfield value when status is set to "Completed" , then you can configure an action that is 1) triggered during saving of the document with 2) start condition "When status is completed"  ( both 1 and 2 you can mention in action defination ), then Implement this action badi in which you can set the Zfield to default value.
    This will ensure that default value is always set whenever the page is getting locked for editing ( i assumed that page lock means status completed ).

    I was thinking of a way to assign a default value to a variable without any prompt by the script as we do in shell script.
    To make my query more clear, consider the example.
    suppose we have a sql script like test.sql with contents

    I wan't to accept the value as command line argument. say the whole statement is written into an sql file say test.sql so that &1 will hold any value specified as input.
    So the issue is although sql will execute the procedure if no value is specified but it will still prompt once for any variable (&x or &1). if you don't specify anything and just press enter than only the default value is taken.
    I wan't the script to be executed on cron without user interference. So, was looking if there's a way to specify default value for cron script.
