Define Number Range for Reference Number

Hi all,
I am trying to maintain Different Number ranges for Loans in ESS.
Once i maintain Define Number Range for Reference Number in Loans ESS and trying to raise a new loan from ESS is till see that the ref number is still displayed 0 while raising the New Loan.
No From Number To Number
10
I maintained range for number range number 10.
Pls suggest me on this.
The above scenario works for claims but not for Loans

Number Range for MIRO number

Hi , We are using Park and Post functionality for invoice verification.
The number range (Logistics ) defined for RD (Post invoice ) and RS (Cancel Invoice) is 01.
The Number intervals defined for number range 01 are
Number Year From TO Current number
Range
01 9999 5105600101 5105699999 5105603042
But surprizingly when we do MIR7 (Park document ) , current number gets increased by 10 , instead of single.
For example , earlier the current number here (in spro) was 5105603030. I created a MIR7 document, the number given to me in MIR7 was 5105603029 and system didn't change current number in spro.
I created the another document , the number given to me in MIR7 was 5105603030 and system didn;t change the current number in SPRO this time also.
BUT WHEN I CREATED a another document in MIR7 , number given to me was 5105603031 but current number (in SPRO) was changed to 5105603040.
I am not sure , why it is changing CURRENT number with interval of 10 ??

Please check the custumized settings for MIR7, may be u have given in reverse order and the interval between two documents may be 10. please go through the accounting document number ranges.

Following steps are required in Serial Number Management :
1. OIS2 or Go to path SPRO > Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Technical Objects > Serial Number Management > Define Serial Number Profiles. There enter "2" in Stkck column for your serial profile.
2.SPRO->SAP Customizing Implementation Guide->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Technical Objects->Equipment->Equipment Categories->Define Number Ranges
3. IQ01 Create Serial Number
4. MM02 You need to add the above created Serial Number Profile in the Material Master ion the work scheduling view .
5. CO02 Assigning the Serial Number through Production Order,
Also Serial Number can be created automatically by clicking on u201CCreate Serial Number Automaticallyu201D , Release the Order
6. MB31 Do the GR for the above created Production Order and Check in MMBE for serial Numbers

Different Number Range for Batch number in MIGO

Hi Techies,
I have a requirement to assign the internal range number to Batch Number as K120101701 for CHARG field in MIGO. Where K1 is the Storage location, 2010 is year, 17 is current date 01 is the serial Number. Next day the number range should be K120101801, 18 is next day's date. How can I achieve this?

just check with following code . it will give all badi and user exit in the transaction . in selection screen u have to pass tcode and package

MIGO -Number range for trans./event type WE in year 2012 does not exist

Hi to all
i got one erro while going do MIGO , error is
Number range for trans./event type WE in yar 2012 does not exist .But i checked in OBA7 for the document type WE for that company code i have already maintain number ranges for the year 2011. but system showing error message is WE in year 2012 does not exist . how it showing .Actually My fiscal year is 2011 . why system asking maintain number ranges WE in year .After that i maintaion number ranges for the fiscal year 2012 . and try to post MIGO but i got the same error .Please help us in this sence

Follow the below instruction as specified in note 370236.
Maintain the number range intervals in Transaction OMBT or in Transaction SNUM. For every interval of the previous year, there should exist an interval with a year specification that is larger than or equal to the current year.Then assign the interval to a number range group.
The attached analysis report 'ZNRIVCHECK' carries out the following check:
If the year and the document type are entered, the report checks whether an interval exists for the document type and for the year.
If the year is entered or the year and the number range object are entered, the program checks whether the intervals of the previous years exist for all of the year-dependent objects in the specified year.Check whether intervals are needed for all entries of the results list and whether the interval was assigned to the number range groups.

Either you can use the existing number by assigning your category to the available group or create your own group and assign the plan category in T code IP20
in IP20 select the group in change mode ,select your PM category and tick mark the available group and press the element/group button
or from the menu Group>Insert maintian your own and assign your category

User defined Number range for TD Bulk Shipments

Hello,
By defining Customer specific logic with certain conditions through Z table, can we have a user defined Number range for TD Bulk Shipments? As SAP std. either we can have internal number range or external. If external is opted for, then every time User has to specify the same while creating a Shipment in O4F1. There is a every chance that Users will commit mistakes. In order to avoid this can we have something automatic (i.e. System will take care).
e.g. In SD Billing we have one User exit:- USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ). With this and depending upon certain conditions (which are maintained in Z table) we can have our own number range.
Similarly, Can any one please suggest either a User Exit or BAdi or some enhancement point for this requirement?

There is no standard exit for number ranges like those in SD. However, you can try using the exit EXIT_SAPMOIGS_001 for this purpose. You will still need to enter internal number range in the shipment type configuration.

You'd need to figure out manually how forecast PR's are different from MRP PR's (the field from PR tables ) and then in the user exit I mentioned the program looks at the table T161 and field NUMKI, and if the PR getting created is from forecast change that NUMKI in the program to a different one else keep it as it is. If you're know abap programming it won't take long to figure out the logic else work with your developer to implement it.

No number range for settlement documents defined in controlling area ACA2.
The settlement document is a document type in its own right, which is used for cancelling settlements and repeating month-end closes.
Procedure
Define a number range for settlement documents. Choose Maintain number ranges for settlement documents.

Try to use the following T.code : SNUM,
1. Group -> Maintain and Group -> Insert
2. Give your number range a description.
3. Specify one interval for the number range. If you use up this range, you can add more intervals.
4. Select one or more of the controlling areas listed in the block "Not assigned".
5. Place the cursor on the number range to which you want to assign the selected controlling areas.
6. Use Assign element group to assign the controlling area(s) to the appropriate number range and save your entries.
Note that all intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted. Note that the appropriate application table is also transported for number range objects used for group maintenance.
And use :OKG6

Does anybody knows how to define/create number range for projects in cProjects?.
In the standard cPrjects frontend system, the system is taking 16 digits number automatically so i want to define my own number range as required by the client.

Hi Suresh,
don't think there is a standard functionality for this. But you could create your own number range object and fill the data via BAdi. Try DPR_ATTRIBUTES.

I want to create the Number Range for PO.
Scenerio: -
I m working in ABC Plant and we define the number ranges for PO i.e starts with 4500000000 series.
But now we have 2nd plant XYZ. So we want to create new runmber range for that (should be start 5500000000).
Plz let me know, how can i define new number ranges for XYZ plant.

with respect to plant PO document type restriction not possible, so in this case copy the NB document type define the new document type
SPRO>>MM>>Purchasing>>Purchase order>>Define the no ranges and assign the no range to document type
SPRO>>MM>>Purchasing>>Purchase order>>Define the Document type here you assign that no .range to your document type
